Daily Update, July 19, 2026

The night before Sunday, I got to bed a little after 2 am. Despite that, I set my alarm for 8:30 am because I knew that church would begin at 9 am. I can't get there by 9 am by getting up at 8:30, but I get there earlier without making myself sick getting up too early. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to church. I drowsed on the way in hopes it would help my lack of sleep. I hope it did a little. I got there during the third reading, just before sermon, which meant I got a fair bit of the service, despite it starting at 9 am and being Morning Prayer, which is shorter than Holy Communion. I sat with Auntie Barbara and my main nurse and really enjoyed the service. After the service, I sat with Auntie Barbara and others for lunch. I really enjoyed visiting with them, especially Auntie Barbara. After lunch, my main nurse took me back home. I drowsed on the way back, definitely tired from my short night. {Smile}

When I got home, I treated my blood sugar before I took a nap. When I got up, I got onto my computer. I read web comics and articles, and watched videos, with some writing of Saturday's daily update in there. When I finished my daily update, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming particularly late. I checked on my friends who play the game, and realized Kitten had their new character in the late-night short, large group event. I joined the event and ran it. Afterwards, I talked with Kitten, and with Dennis, who'd messaged my character during the event. However, I didn't join either, because of dinner. I ate with my main nurse, his TV, Forward Day by Day, and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_, which I particularly enjoyed because it was relevant to gamers. {Smile}

After dinner, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went back to my computer. I read web comics before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I checked Ana's badges and picked some to work on. It took the rest of the evening to get two that came together. I updated her badge record, then quickly did an easy one that that update told me about, followed by a second easy one I learned about when I updated her badge record again. While I was working on the second easy badge, Kitten said hi. We talked while I finished the last badge, and updated Ana's badge record yet again. After that, I wrote a little in this and made notes to write from the next day. Then I checked Cross Stitch World. I finished my evening with The Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King.

Daily Update, July 18, 2026

The night before Saturday, I got to bed a few minutes after 2 am. I was trying to add to my bedtime routine, and everything slipped later. I'm sure there's a way to fix that, but I didn't succeed that night. {rueful smile}

Late in the morning, I called my cousin Kim. I thanked her for a package that arrived a couple of days ago. I didn't mention here when it did, because I thought Kim should get a proper thank you phone call. I got her on the first try. I thanked her, and then we moved on to what we've been doing, and how her mom, my aunt Valerie is doing, too. It was wonderful. Possibly the best part was arranging to talk more frequently. We're going to try weekly, like our moms used to do. {SMILE}

Before dinner, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for the social for last session's Ballroom Dance class on Fridays. Not just students came, but friends in the ballroom dance community. Our teacher hosted and ran the music. He also danced, of course. Dinner was potluck. I took some taquitos and mini quiches my main nurse got ready. I danced several dances with a variety of partners. My main nurse took me home afterwards, with not much of the food we'd brought. I played Cross Stitch World on the way down, and the way back. {Smile}

I had breakfast with main nurse, his TV, and Forward Day by Day. I also started reading by the postscript and two annotations to "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. continuing after breakfast until I'd read them all. They were long enough, that took me notably into the morning after breakfast. After that, I called Kim, and we had a lovely long talk, that filled the rest of my morning. Then I went onto my computer. I watched videos, read articles and read web comics during and after lunch. Next, I wrote up Friday's daily update before I got ready for the social. Then I played Cross Stitch World until it was time to go. {Smile}

When I got home after the social, I went back to my computer. I read a web comic, and started this, writing a tiny bit. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found a note from Dr. Faustus offering three badges. I replied, and found that Ivy, my fourth best badge collector, didn't have one, so we ran it and she got it. Nani, my fifth best badge collector didn't have the second badge, so we ran it and she got that one. Soo-In, my eighth best badge collector didn't have the third, so we ran that and she got it. Next, I switched to Peony, my younger Hobbit. We ran a timed mission she could get, then did two or three missions that finished a story arc she was working on. After that, Kitten joined our team but finished a giant monster hunt before actually joining us. We started a mission that Kitten helped us finish. Then we did one mission together. It was getting late, so we switched to hunts, doing three before Dr, Faustus left. I talked with Kitten and wrote more in this. I switched to Ivy, then Nani to update their badge records. Soo-In doesn't have a badge record so far. Next, I closed windows and made notes in this. I also briefly checked the web and Cross Stitch World before I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 17, 2026

The night before Friday, I got to bed slightly after 2 am. I missed my first goal, but at least I didn't miss it by much. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my Ballroom Dance Mambo Class. I think I'm getting all the beginner's steps, though I'm getting some steps better than others. Still, this is only the second class, so I'm delighted to be so far already. I danced with a few partners, both guys and gals, and occasionally sort of led when I thought I knew a step my partner wanted to learn. My main nurse took me home again after class. I read more of "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. I think it's a rare utopic story that's actually happy. {Smile}

When I got home from class, I went onto my computer. I read articles and web comics and watched videos through lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I got Eamonn, made the last thing he needed to make a better end game power. I tried an individual timed mission to test it. It went well, but then I saw the early long, large-group event being advertised. That would be an even better test, so I joined it on Eamonn. I said hi to a friend I noticed. Next, I checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I socialized with the group until the event started. then I was mostly busy fighting, though I tried to socialize a bit as I could. It's so easy to just get caught up in playing and forget to talk with others, but for me, the point of playing a game that is shared by many simultaneously is to interact with people, not just the game system. After we ran the event, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Eamonn. {Smile}

Then I switched to long-range Olga. I checked my long-time villain supergroup, but the meeting hadn't started yet. I checked some other characters, doing their weekend auction house, and went back to long-range Olga, and the meeting. Patience and Anya were already there when I got back, and our leader and Dr. Faustus followed me in shortly. We did a bit of roleplaying. Next, we started talking about what to do and who we expected to come. Noticing that Seb's characters were missing, I messaged him on Discord. He quickly brought Marius in. We did the strike force that gives special rewards this week. I switched to Hezabell, my highest-level member, for it because I thought both Olgas were too low. I realized partway through that melee-ranged Olga could do it. She was below the level we did it at, but high enough to get in. The game would compensate so she wouldn't have to be carried by the rest of the team. I'm figuring out how to ask better, so I know who can join. After the strike force, the meeting broke up, with members going their separate ways. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Hezabell, then worked on some auction house and storage on Ana, my third best badge collector. After a fair while, I realized Dennis had said hi embarrassingly long after he did. I switched to a moderately high-level character named Marigold and joined him for a couple of missions. After that, we said goodnight. I went to dinner with my main nurse, his TV, and Forward Day by Day, and "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. I finished that story. {Smile}

After dinner, I tried writing up Thursday's daily update but watched far more videos than I meant to before actually finishing and sharing Thursday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Ana while chatting with Wolf. After that, I ran a mission for a badge. I broke to check and play a little Cross Stitch World, then updated Ana's badge record. I did more in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Ana. Then, I began writing this. I paused to read two web comics. then wrote a little more and switched to making notes to write from. I ended the evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 16. 2026

 The night before Thursday, I did get to bed a few minutes before 2 am. however, I set my alarm for 8:40 because I thought I had a 10 am dental appointment the next day. So, I didn't get a full seven hours of downtime. {smile}

After breakfast, I got a call from my dentist's office the receptionist wanted to remind me about my appointment at 10:20 am. I was delighted to find it was a bit later. I was able to fully get ready to go down, instead of skipping some steps to speed things up like I'd planned to. When I was fully ready, my main nurse took me down. I took _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson and read more of "Perfect State" on the way down, while waiting, and on the way home. {Smile}

The appointment itself was one big filling. They really numbed me up, then did a lot of work. The numbness took enough time to wear off; I delayed lunch but still ended up eating with a partially numb mouth. The tooth and the filling didn't hurt, but my tongue hurt from being bit during lunch, and my jaw ached. both pains mostly wore off by the end of the evening. {Smile}

At home, I went onto my computer. I read articles and web comics, before during, and after the delayed lunch. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update as I began to feel more together. I found a package that I'd ordered from Amazon, only to find that a Bible I'd ordered from my relief nurse only included the New Testament. My main nurse is helping me return it for a refund. I found a full Bible to replace it and ordered it I think it might be a few dollars cheaper, oddly enough. After I finished my daily update, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. I talked with Seb, who was busy roleplaying. I checked on my friends who play the game again. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Eamonn. While I was doing that, I ran into Veronica. We visited out-of-character for a fair while. I tried to make something for Eamonn, but made the wrong thing at one point, and could only get two of something he needed four of to replace what I'd made wrong. Veronica and I said goodbye when she headed off to bed as I went to dinner. I had dinner with my relief nurse, his TV, and forward Day by Day. {Smile}

After dinner, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went back to my computer. I read web comics. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I tried to play on Eamonn to get the rest of what he needed. I did get one. Then Dr. Faustus said hi. I told them about Eamonn, but we both agreed it was late to do his idea for a fix, especially since I realized that getting the one more that I really needed would be easy the next day. I switched to Peony and roleplayed with Dr. Faustus while we did three hunts, finishing one contact Peony had. Next, we worked on another contact, starting another story arc Peony has. We said goodnight, and I checked on my friends who play the game. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Peony, then Eamonn. After that, I closed windows and wrote a fair bit in this before switching to making notes to write from in it. I checked Cross Stitch World in a break. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 15 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed several minutes before 2 am, so I met my goal two days in a row. Recently, that's doing pretty well. {Smile}

After lunch, my housekeeper came and worked through the afternoon. She apologized for being away so long, but personal trouble prevented working for a while. Of course I understand. {smile}

After dinner, my main nurse took me down to the Church of the Holy Cross for my ballroom dancing classes. Our teachers for nightclub twostep were missing, but a substitute went over what we'd learned so far. The teachers will be back in a couple of weeks. Our cha-cha class was small, but we reviewed what we'd learned so far, including one we'd forgotten. Then my main nurse took me home. My phone needed charging on the way down, which wasn't available, so I watched the scenery out the window. I charged it most of the way during the classes, so I played Cross Stitch World on the way back, checking the scenery a few times. It's my main chance to see the town at night. {Smile}

I ate breakfast with my main nurse, his TV, and forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I went onto my computer. I read a few articles but mainly tried to compose a letter to my teacher. I ended up writing a short note asking what format to send the files in and started collecting relevant files. I switched to reading articles and watching videos during lunch. After lunch, I wrote up Tuesday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I talked with Sebastian, but he was busy roleplaying. I checked on my friends who play the game again and looked around for something to do. I spotted that Roman taskforce. It gives special rewards this week that Eamonn and Valentina need. I ran it on Eamonn, since it's the last of those special rewards that I'm sure he needs unless and until he starts working on assist badges. This ran into dinner only because dinner was early because of my dance classes. I had dinner with my main nurse and nothing to read to be sure I ate quickly. I succeeded in leaving at a good time for my class. {Smile}

After class, I got back onto my computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I remembered Ana was in a mini story arc by herself for a badge or two, so I ran it, and got two badges. Dr. Faustus said hi during it. I let them know what I was doing - which I can't add friends to in the middle of - and joined them as soon as I finished. They told me that one of the new members has left the villain group that meets most Fridays. I'm sorry to see them go. Anyway, Dr. Faustus and I teamed up with me on ranged Olga. We squeezed in one mission despite it being late for us to start one. Next, we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on ranged Olga. I also updated Ana's badge record and worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on her. After that, I checked on my friends who play the game again. Then I wrote a little in this, then started making notes in this. I broke for a little Cross Stitch World, and closed windows before I finished making notes in this. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 14, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed several minutes before 2 am. It was good to make my first goal when I've missed it so much recently. {Smile}

Right after breakfast, my relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center and dropped me off. It was a little over an hour early for my Creative Writing Class, but my relief nurse had an appointment of his own to go to right after that. So, I sat on a bench and started reading "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. A gal said hi who'd been in previous Creative Writing classes. She was stuck in writer's block but planned to come to class. I went in when I saw others moving towards the room. Our teacher was there, so I settled in and waited for class. {Smile}

Class itself went well, though I only ended up with an in-class writing assignment to share. I asked my teacher about what to do with the series that I'm struggling with that I tried to tell her about last week. She wants to see what I have so far. I am working on that. I had lunch during class. After class, my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

Back at home, I ate a snack with my relief nurse and his TV before I got onto my computer. Once there, I went pretty straight to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I went to the teen supergroup's base on Aneira and parked her where we usually start our meeting. Then I checked comics and articles elsewhere on my computer. I came back to Aneira only to realize I heard two members talking, but no one was in the room. I went down to the lobby, since I've often heard voices carry between that particular pair of floors. I found Ulty's character and Veronica were talking mostly in-character. I joined the roleplaying. Jawsome and one of Jenny's Player's characters joined the roleplaying as they arrived. The roleplaying petered out into out-of-character conversation, then went quiet for a while before Ulty brought up taskforces. We picked one but waited for Nyxy's Pella. Eventually, we to the zone that taskforce happens in to wait. We were beginning to think about going without Pella when she finally appeared, first in Discord, then in the supergroup before joining our team. Once she was fully with us, we quickly began the taskforce. It went pretty well. Afterwards, Jawsome soon left for bed, and Jenny's player left to prepare for work the next day. Pella, V, Ulty's character and I roleplayed until I said goodbye and left for dinner. I ate with my relief nurse, his TV and Forward Day by Day, followed by a fair bit of discussion with my relief nurse. {Smile}

Eventually, I got back to my computer. I checked Aneira's supergroup in City of Heroes: Homecoming, but everyone else had left. I wrote up Monday's daily update, with long breaks to read web comics because I couldn't stay focused, but I did eventually finish. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did auction house, storage and crafting on Aneira. Next, I started to work on a badge for Ana. Dr. Faustus said hi, so I stopped what I was doing on Ana, and switched to Peony. We roleplayed at some length before we did a mission of mine, not the hunts Dr. Faustus picked, because I misunderstood, and got a timed mission. After that, we said goodnight. I did some in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Peony, with a short break for Cross Stitch World. Then I wrote a little of this, with a long break reading comics and taking care of myself. I wrote a little more of this, then added lots of notes to write from later. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 13, 2026

 The night before Monday, I got to bed very shortly before 2 am. So I made my first goal, if barely. {Smile}

After breakfast, my relief nurse took me down to Auntie Sally's Luau Hale for my First-Timer's Line Dance class. I got there a little early, so I had time to visit with a classmate. I also visited with her and a few others during breaks, which shows I had more energy than last week. Though even better evidence is that I danced at least part of every dance, even the dances during the breaks, which aren't properly taught. You just follow along as the instructor dances, and/or just dance if you know it. {Smile}

After class, my relief nurse picked me up. I showed him the ice cream parlor with the popsicles and got a liliko'i popsicle - passionfruit for those who know that term better. Then we did an errand on the way home. {smile}

I had breakfast with my relief nurse and his TV. After we got home, I had lunch with my relief nurse, his TV, forward Day by Day, and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. Then I got onto my computer. I tried to write up Sunday's daily update, but I had enough trouble concentrating, I read a lot of web comics and didn't write that quickly. During a break in my writing, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming to work on the in-game auction house and storage on Ana, my third best badge collector. While I was finishing up Sunday's daily update, I saw note that Dennis and Kitten were teaming in City of Heroes: Homecoming. I rushed to finish and got back to the game in time to join them and do a couple of missions before dinner. That meal was tacos with my relief nurse at his TV. I tried to read a little _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_, but the tacos were too messy. Neither hand was clean enough to turn the page. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming. Dennis had left already, but Kitten was in a big group in a highly challenging zone. I joined them on Ana. I got two badges and made progress on at least one more. Then I tried to get another badge there on my own, but it turned out I had it.  The one I'm missing is more complicated, and I'll probably need help with it. I checked some but not all of my friends who play the game, stopping to answer Nox on Discord, then going on to read web comics rather than back to continue checking friends. I talked with Nox on Discord, then checked all friends who play the game who were still on. I ran into DV and we talked. I took a break to help with a giant monster construction, then talked a little more with DV. Next, I ran a mini story arc, getting another badge on Ana. I break to check Cross Stitch World and played a little before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I updated Ana's badge record, then worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Ana. After that, I wrote in this, and made notes in this, taking a break to answer Kitten on Discord. After I finished my notes in this, I sent Kitten another note on Discord. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King.

Daily Update, July 12, 2026

The night before Sunday, I got to be a few minutes after 2 am. That was significantly better than the night before, but still too late, especially for a Sunday when I got up at 8:45 am instead of 9:00 am to get to church for a 10 am service. {Smile}

After breakfast, while I was getting ready to leave for church, I had a bit of diarrhea. I hoped it was an isolated event. My main nurse took me to church and dropped me off. I drowsed on the way down. I got there in the middle of the special thank offers. The service hadn't started at 10 am, but at 9 am because a prospective priest candidate and his fiance were visiting. I sat with Auntie Barbara, and enjoyed the communion, which I was fully in time for. {Smile}

After the service, I met the priest and his fiance, who's a trans woman. She'd fit right into our congregation, and I doubt we'd have to worry about them trying to change us. I'm surprised at how open we are to LGBTQ+, but right from the beginning with our first openly gay priest, no one was concerned that he was gay, though several members were concerned that he wasn't married. Some of our members really enjoy sitting with the priest's spouse and finding out how things are really going at home for our priest. {Smile}

Then came lunch, and more diarrhea, which I dealt with as best I could. Lunch was a big spread, with some nice dishes though I was actually more modest than usual, especially with the desserts. I sat with Auntie Barbara, among others, and we actually got to visit. Afterwards, my main nurse took me home. I drowsed on the way back {Smile}

I had minimal trouble with diarrhea at home, which became none when I took medicine before dinner. I should have taken it at the beginning, but I wasn't sure until I read the label. {smile}

Back at home, I got onto my computer. I read several web comics. Then I wrote up Saturday's daily update. I mentioned to friends on Discord that I'd be in City of Heroes: Homecoming. Dennis said he might be in soon. I waited for him almost as hour while I checked on my friends who play the game and worked on the in-game auction house and storage on Ana. I also talked with a different distant friend before I gave up waiting for Dennis and talked to my main nurse about dinner. I came back to find Dennis had finally gone in and said hi. I apologized for needing to leave for dinner. I had dinner with Forward Day by Day and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}

After dinner, my main nurse helped me clean myself up. Then I went back to my computer. I talked with Nox on Discord and read web comics. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homeeoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I did a bit of the in-game auction house and storage on Ana. I had begun to look into badges for Ana when Dr Faustus said hi. I switched to Peony, my younger hobbit, and we teamed up. We ran some missions - mostly but not entirely mine and roleplayed a little on the side. Then we said goodnight. I checked Cross Stitch World and played a little. Next, I worked on the in-game auction house storage and crafting on Peony, followed by in-game auction house and storage on Ana. I also talked with a friend. After that, I closed windows and wrote a little in this before shifting to making notes in this. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 11, 2026

The night before Saturday, I got so caught up trying to get a couple of badges for Ana, I got off the computer later than usual and didn't get into bed until just before 2:15 am. That's quite late for me, but I took a nap after breakfast, and I'll try to do better in the future. {smile}

I've been really confused trying to figure out how to change my living arrangements. I know they need to be more affordable, but nothing looks satisfactory. I came to a realization Saturday evening that what's missing is closeness with others. My parents and I were very close, between living in the same house and going through difficult times together. I also lost a good friend to cancer even before I lost my parents. Without that friend or my parents, I really feel adrift. If I get closer to some friends and family, I hope that at the least, where I want to live will be clearer. Once I know that, the decisions should be easier. {Smile}

I had breakfast with my main nurse and forward Day by Day. My nap followed. Then I got onto my computer. I read comics before and right through lunch. I also checked Cross Stitch World and played some on my phone. I closed windows as I started writing up Friday's daily update. I finished late enough, that I told my main nurse it was a bit late to go out. He agreed, so I went back to my computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and let a few friends know I was in the game on Discord. I tried to work on a badge on Ana, but I wasn't making progress. Next, Dennis came in and said hi. We teamed up and picked a story arc of his. One of the missions helped me make progress on the badge. Then we said goodbye. I did a tiny bit of auction house and storage before dinner. I ate with my main nurse and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}

After dinner, I read several web comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Ana. Next, I worked on that badge on Ana right through the evening while thinking and coming to that realization. When I finally got that badge, it was ready to calm down before bed. So, I checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on Ana. I also talked with a friend who recently returned to City of Heroes: Homecoming. They say to call them Wolf or "w." Wolf and I talked while I did more on the auction house than I expected, and even while I started writing this. We said goodnight, and I closed windows. I took lots of notes, then ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King.

Daily Update, July 10, 2026

The night before Friday, I got to bed a few minutes before 2 am, so I made my first goal again. It does feel good when I can say that! {SMILE}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my first Ballroom Dance: Mambo class of the session. It turns out mambo is slightly different than the salsa I taught myself, with a different starting beat for otherwise the same step. I caught on quickly, especially with the moves I know in salsa dancing. I practiced the new ones more and hope I'm starting to get muscle memory for them. I'm happy with how much I got in just one class. I danced with a few different partners, including a gal who I've never seen at this class before. though she's done Wednesday night sometimes, and we attended the same party once. After class, my main nurse took me back home. I read _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_ both on the way down, and on the way back, since it's due next week. {Smile}

That afternoon, I learned on Discord, the chat server, that my villain supergroup meeting was cancelled because of a party. Most members were either going to the party or not coming to the game at all. I made sure the party wasn't private. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Then I tried to go to the party on Anka, my best badge collector, a well-developed character I don't play as much as I used to. She saw an old friend and said hi. The friend was watching the crowd, so Anka did, too. I spotted one of Dr. Faustus's characters who'd be likely to notice that Anka is a strong psychic, and let them know, but they left without responding. I turned back to the old friend, but they had left. I looked over the crowd. One friend was on a character none of my characters have met. Two friends were on characters a few of my characters know, but they were up on the stage. One was the announcer, the other possibly a dancer. Neither were free to talk. I considered having Anka take a turn bartending, since she used to do that often, though it's been years. However, the crowd looked like all I'd get were brief requests for drinks, which is the side of bartending Anka is worst at. So, I left. I mentioned leaving to some friends on Discord, which may have been a mistake. Only Kitten, who dislikes parties, agreed with my choice.

I had breakfast with my main nurse, then left for class. After we got back, I went onto my computer. I read web comics over lunch, then wrote up Thursday's daily update. Then I found out about the party, and tried to go to it, but left early, as I've described. Alone again, I worked on a badge on Ana. I started talking with a distant friend who's recently begun coming more often again. He mentioned wanting to roleplay, and I told him about the villain supergroup that normally meets Friday evening/afternoon. I stopped working on the badge and switched to melee-ranged Olga. we met each other. I spotted Marius and invited him to join us. I showed my distant friend around the base. I had to leave quickly because dinner was ready. I had dinner with my main nurse, his TV, and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer and back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found the same friend, and I showed him Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. We talked both in-character and out-of-character in the game. Then we actually talked using voice on Discord, mainly out-of-character. Eventually he left for the night. I went back to Cit of heroes: Homecoming and really finished the badge I'd almost finished on Ana earlier. Then I worked on other badges, starting at least one, and getting two more. I updated her badge record, and worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on her. Then I wrote a tiny bit in this. I closed most of the windows I had open on my computer before making notes to write from the next day. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. I got to bed later than I like. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 9, 2026

 The night before Thursday, I hoped to get to bed before 2 am. It even looked like I would until I found a seriously clogged sink in the newer bathroom. I tried to fix it but barely made progress in getting some plastic out. I managed to get to bed a few minutes after 2 am. The next morning, I found a small plunger and told my main nurse. He then shooed me away as he worked on it. I checked it just now. it's flowing pretty good. I got a little more out -- shredded carrot and black gunk - and might spot some shredded cabbage, but it's flowing out pretty well, which is the main thing. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I started trying to sign into HMSA on my computer. It got a picture, but no sound, and a second attempt was no better. Setting up the laptop and trying right then didn't work much better, so we ended up on Zoom. I discussed it with my counsellor. I'll try setting the laptop up ahead of time week after next. Not next week because a dental appointment prevents me from keeping my regular appointment. If the laptop works, I'll have to replace this computer. it won't upgrade to Windows 11, and we suspect that's why it doesn't work with HMSA's new system. The rest of my appointment went well, it was short, though ran later than if it had started on time. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse took me to Mom's lawyer's office. I played Cross Stitch World on the way there. At the office, a gal went over the agreement about the retainer to handle Mom's will and such with me. I made out the necessary checks, and we were done Then my main nurse took me over to the Hilo branch of Hawai'i Public Library and went to do an errand. I played only a little Cross Stitch World on the way over, since it was one short block away. I returned three manga, including a very thick one. I picked out five normally thin ones in three series, with an eye towards looking at things vaguely relevant to a series of stories I started years ago. They all deal with a new normal after a big event upended the old normal. I checked them out and started reading _Ocean of Secrets_ in the library. When my main nurse came and picked me up, I continued reading it on the ride home. {Smile}

After counselling, I read web comics right through lunch. Then we went out. When we got back, I read more web comics, since I was suddenly too tired to do much else. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, and did a little in-game auction house and storage on Ana, my third best badge collector, until Dr. Faustus said hi. They invited me to bring a character on a story arc where you can pick up a badge. It's a badge Ana didn't have, so I took her and fixed that oversight. We went up to the end of the mission with the badge in it. Next, we parted because it was almost my dinner time. I updated her badge record and did a bit of auction house and storage before my main nurse called me. I ate with them, their TV show, and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_, since it's due next week. {Smile}

After dinner, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Only then did I go back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, and teamed up with Dr. Faustus on Peony, my younger Hobbit, roleplaying a bit to advance recent storylines. We ran a story arc that they felt ended the evening well enough, we said goodnight and they left. Kitten said hi shortly before that, so when I was free, we teamed up. Kitten was on their new character, and I got Ana. They talked me into finishing a badge on her that can be done quickly with game cash. Then we ran a high-level story arc they could get that has rewards they're interested in. We finished at a good time to say goodnight. I worked on Ana's in-game auction house, storage and crafting, which led to another badge. Then I updated her badge record again she's still clearly my third best badge collector, but she's gaining on Carrie, my second-best badge collector, because Ana is the more comfortable character to spend much time on. I also checked on my friends who play the game. I said goodnight to Kitten again. After that, I began writing in this, I broke to check Cross Stitch World, then wrote some more before switching to making notes in this to write from later. Then I closed windows. I'm surprised I wasn't distracted by the windows while writing and making notes. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 8, 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed just after 2 am. I missed my first goal again, though I did make up for it with a late-morning nap. {Smile}

After dinner, my main nurse took me to the Church of the Holy Cross for the ballroom dance classes. When I got there, I learned I'd missed the first one - they started last week. I'll have to watch that and remember they don't line up with the county's schedule exactly. I learned later that night that I can look it up online, so that's the way to watch it in the future. I enjoyed the classes. I caught up with last week's lessons quickly in both. Cha-cha was the first, which I did on Friday last fall, so it felt mostly like a review. The second was Night Club Two Step, which I've never done before. I hope I'm catching on quickly. The second class let out a little early. My main nurse took me home afterwards. Both he and I are quite happy with how it went. I played Cross Stitch World both on the way down and on the way back. {Smile}

During breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. I had a leisurely morning because I was kind of groggy. Eventually, I got to taking that nap. Then I got onto my computer and started reading articles. I continued reading articles and comics through lunch. Then I wrote up Tuesday's daily update. I also called Mom's lawyer, and arranged to go in the next day, which is Thursday. I believe I was talking to the O'ahu office, not the local one. Next, I talked with Kitten and Dennis on Discord, the chat server. They encouraged me to go into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten and helped them with a badge needed for a badge that improves the character. Dennis joined us, and helped Kitten get the badge. After that, we talked. Then we split up, with me doing a little with the in-game auction house and storage before I went to dinner with my main nurse, his TV, and the manga _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}

After dinner, I went to my classes. after we got back home, I went back to my computer. I read comics to settle in. I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming later than I meant to. I found Kitten, and we teamed up. We did a high-level individual mission with me on Valentina Matos. Then started a story arc Valentina had. After the first mission, Kitten spotted that pair of high-level taskforces, which gave more of what they were looking for than the story arc. So, we joined it, with me switching to Ivalynn, an end-game ready character, but not a ranked badge collector, and ran it. The team broke up, and I said goodnight to Kitten. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Ivalynn. Next, I did the in-game auction house and storage on Ana, too. After that, I checked Cross Stitch World. I made notes in this with no writing at all, hoped to get to bed on time, but a clogged drain messed up that. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 7, 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed barely after 2 am. I checked, and it wasn't even 2:01/ So I almost made my first goal. {Smile}

Before lunch, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my first creative writing class of this session. I got there shortly before it began. I liked the class. We had a nice lecture. She's changing things up this time. She's been concerned we aren't improving, so she's trying to help us do that. {Smile}

After class, I talked with our teacher at some length. I told her about a writing process that kept me writing until I started thinking about trying to sell what I was producing. I was starting with slice-of-life stories as I got to know my characters. Eventually, I'd shift to more weighty stories. However, I'm not sure how to handle the shift without losing readers and having to build a new readership. My teacher said she'd think about it. I've thought about it, too, and even talked with Nox, Ulty, and a friend who says to call them DV. No one knows what to do, but... I hope something will come up. {Smile}

My substitute relief nurse picked me up after class. We went to the public library. I returned books and showed her where to pick up her new library card. Then I showed her where the comics are, both manga and American style. I pointed out a couple of series that she confirmed she's certainly interested in. I picked out some more for me, too. We picked up Kosmic Cones ice cream on the way home, since it's right across the street from the library. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I began writing Monday's daily update. I stopped when it was time to go to class. When I got back hope from class and the library, I got onto my computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I dashed to my teen supergroup meeting on Aneira. I was the first one there, so I checked on my friends who play the game. Jawsome and Veronica soon joined me. We roleplayed a little, and I checked with Jenny's Player, who had to leave the game to take care of stuff in real life, as we say, so she never came to the meeting. We three picked a taskforce - Veronica needed it, and it gives unusually good rewards this week, so win-win. We went to the contact. Nyxy on a Pella said hi and joined us just as Jawsome began to recruit more for a full team. He filled the team and we ran the taskforce. Veronica, Pella, and I all levelled at least once. Jawsome is already int eh endgame. After the taskforce, Veronica was so close to levelling again that Jawsome and I helped her do so. Then Jawsome left for bed. Nyxy, Veronica, and I roleplayed a bit in the base before we broke up. I had dinner with the manga _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}

After dinner I talked with acquaintance on Discord. Then I went back to City of Heroes Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I also worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting from the taskforce on Aneira. Then I talked with Ulty. I broke to check and read comics. I remembered I hadn't finished writing Monday's daily update and did so. Next, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I debated working on a badge with Ana and ran into DV. This is when they suggested I call them DV in this. I remembered some shopping I needed on Amazon, so I did it. After that, I got the badge for Ana. I updated her badge record, and did some auction house, storage and crafting. Then I began writing this. I went back to City of Heroes Homecoming and found another badge Ana didn't have that was quick enough to get, I just got it. I updated her badge list again, then shut down windows and came back to this. I wrote a little and made lots of note to write from later. Next, I checked Cross Stitch World. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 6, 2026

The night before Monday, I got to bed a couple of minutes after 2 am. That missed my first goal again. my bedtime routine is slightly longer due to a second shot, but I know I need to work harder at this. {smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Auntie Sally's Luau Hale for my First Timer's Line Dance class. Yes, we start a new session this week. Class went well, though I need to build up my stamina again. I got much more tired than usual. What I really need is an exercise routine during the breaks to keep up my stamina better. I kept up with the dancing, even some though not all of the dancing during the breaks. Yes, my teacher likes to call a break, then start dancing slightly less formally, which some to many will join in on. {Smile}

After class, my substitute relief nurse picked me up. We went to the ice cream Parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens, where I got a liliko'i cream popsicle. Then we stopped by Sack 'n Save, a Hawai'i grocery chain, for a few things we were low on before we went home. I played Cross Stitch World on way down to class, and over to ice cream parlor. However, I was busy with the popsicle after that. {Smile}

I read Sunday's Forward Day by Day during breakfast, because I missed it the day before. After our trip out, I got onto my computer. I had lunch while browsing articles and reading web comics. Then I wrote up my daily update. Closing windows at the start really helped me keep myself focused on writing to get it done. When I was finished, I opened windows again and read a few web comics. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Not seeing anyone I'm close to around, I got onto Ana and ran a talk-mission that got her a couple of badges. After that, I updated her badge record. Then I got another badge or two on her before dinner. During Dinner I read today's Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer and read a couple of comics. I talked with an acquaintance on Discord who talked me into trying a game they recommended, but I had trouble with it. I eventually quit and went to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I worked on a few more badges on Ana. Then I did the in-game auction house, storage and crafting that had produced for her, and updated her badge record. Next, I wrote in this, soon switching to making notes in this. I paused to finish reading a comic I'd started. I also read some short comics. After that, I finished making notes in this. I checked Cross Stitch World before I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 5, 2026

The night before Sunday, I got to bed a few minutes before 2 am. I made my first goal, but because it's Sunday, and church starts nominally at 10 am, and rarely much later, I got up at 8:45, so I didn't get as much sleep as I'd like. {smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to church and dropped me off. He ran an errand, then came later. I got there during the announcements, which is kind of acceptably late, and sat with Auntie Barbara. We had Morning Prayer, with our deacon doing the sermon, and no Holy Communion, which we usually do on Sundays if we don't have a priest. It was a nice service. I sat with Auntie Barbara during lunch, though we both talked more with others at our table. We talked a bit as folks were cleaning up. Then my main nurse took me back home. I played Cross Stitch World both on the way to church, and on the way home. {Smile}

After church, I got onto my computer and read a few articles and comics. Then I wrote up Saturday's daily update, occasionally checking Discord, the chat server. I found an announcement from Mysty announcing a supergroup meeting where we'd do an adventure she'd planned for Oleva's villain supergroup - the new one. I finished Saturday's daily update, and went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, since it was too late to squeeze in a bath and still make the meeting. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting I hadn't done the night before on Ana and checked the auction house on several characters. Next, I switched to Oleva, went to the meeting while checking on my friends who play the game again. We roleplayed a little, and started Mysty's adventure, which was mostly roleplaying, with one player-made mission that went right over dinner, so I ate at my computer. The group was so large, we split into two teams for the mission, and the other team finished enough before us, they did a second mission, which we learned was meant to be done later. {Smile}

After that, we broke up. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting Oleva's play had produced. Then I broke to clean myself up with the help of my main nurse, despite it really being too late. In the future, I need to figure out a way to fit the bath in sooner. Next, I went back to my computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and said hi to Dr. Faustus and Kitten. I also let Kitten and our mutual friends know I was back in the game through Discord. Dr. Faustus and I talked and teamed up with me on Peony, and them on a different mid-level character she sometimes teams with than the one she did last time. We started to roleplay and do missions. Kitten joined us, which meant less roleplaying, and more out-of-character talking and focusing on missions.  All three of use enjoy doing missions together. Dr. Fautus and I did a little roleplaying on the side by ourselves. Eventually, we said goodnight to Kitten so Dr. Fautus and I could concentrate on roleplaying for a bit. Peony and Dr. Faustus's character had an interesting if not entirely clear conversation, but adolescents were discussing romance, so I thought the confusion was appropriate. I certainly didn't understand a lot about romance when I was adolescent. I still don't, though I understand more, I hope. I don't remember signs that the other adolescents understood it much better, either. After that, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Peony. Then I wrote in this, pausing to check Cross Stitch World and play a little of it. After writing more in this, I made notes to write from later. Next, I answered Nox on Discord. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 4, 2026

Saturday was the Fourth of July, so if you celebrate that, I hope you had a good one. It also means I missed Canada Day, which I don't celebrate but I know friends who do, so if you do, I hope that day went well, too. If you celebrate neither, I hope you had a nice day each time. {SMILE}

The night before Saturday, I was surprised when I realized I was getting to bed a few minutes after 2 am. I thought I'd done better and can't quite figure out where the time went. I just have to keep working harder at getting to bed earlier, I guess. {smile}

After lunch, my main nurse and I went out. We stopped first at the popsicle stand and were very glad we did. The lady told us she was closing up after us. I got the last chocolate fudge popsicle, and didn't see many other flavors to choose from, though there were a few, so it might have been running low on supplies. I hope she was closing early because holiday business was good. While I ate my popsicle, my main nurse drove to Prince Kuhio Plaza. e walked all the way around. Without tables on display, the aisles were more open. There also were fewer people. My main nurse even commented about that. I figured they were all having picnics such at beaches and other parks. We made it around more quickly than usual. Then my main nurse took me home. I read _Demon Slayer: Kietsu no Taiba: Sighs from the Wind_ on the way down and the way back but decided when we were nearing home that I'd read enough of that book. When we got home, I put it with another book I'm ready to return. {Smile}

I had breakfast with my main nurse and read Forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I went onto my computer. I started out reading articles and comics, then shifted to writing up Friday's daily update around lunch. After lunch and writing came our trip out. When we got back, I got back onto my computer. I checked Discord, and found a note from Kitten, who seemed excited to play with me, so I dashed into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Kitten and Pierogies and found out exactly what Kitten wanted to play to get a particular type of badge. I started to suggest an alternate that my Ana Marcelino need, but Kitten wanted fast, and they'd picked the fastest alternative, and already set it up. So I found a character who needed the badge they wanted, and we ran it. Pierogies said hi and joined us after a mission, and we all got the badge at the end. Then we talked a bit, because it was too close to my dinner to do much else. This included saying goodnight to Pierogies. Next, I had dinner with my main nurse and the fireworks show he had on the TV. The color of fireworks on TV these days is even better than when Dad decided they'd improved the color enough for TV fireworks to be worth watching, {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten in a group doing high-level, individual missions I joined them. When we finished, we did the end of a high-level story arc but didn't quite finish the last mission. Then we did several timed, high-level individual missions. After a few of them, Dr. Faustus said hi. Our team was full, but they joined when we had a spot after a couple more. We did a couple more with Dr. Faustus in the group. Next, Dr. Faustus and I left to roleplay together while Kitten left because they were too tired. I got Peony, one of my Hobbits who is mid-level currently. Dr. Faustus got a character not too far from her in level who she knows, not that we did anything where level matters. Dr. Faustus's character needed to talk, and Peony was willing to listen. Eventually we wound down. I began writing this up, pausing to shop on Amazon, where I took advantage of a sale. After writing a bit more in this, I closed windows, watching one video, then concentrated on making notes in this without interruption. Then I checked Cross Stitch World and played a little of it. I ended my evening with the Lord's prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 3, 2026

The night before Friday, i got to bed a few minutes after 2 am. I blame finding an article I wanted to read rather than find again while shutting down my computer. I knew it might make me late but did it anyway. between the late bedtime and getting up more than usual in the night, I was pretty tired after breakfast, so I lay down and took a nap. After that, I definitely felt better. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse took me down to the lawyer's office for the paperwork they called me about on Wednesday, but they were closed. After calling them and getting a message about being closed today, I realized they must have closed because the fourth of July is a Saturday, so many businesses close on the day before to mark the holiday. My main nurse took me back home. I started reading _Demon Slayer: Kietsu no Taiba: Sighs from the Wind_, a light novel (Japanese young adult novel) connected to the manga and anime series, Demon Slayer. {Smile}

During breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I took a nap. Then I went onto my computer. I read articles and comics right over lunch. Then we took our trip out. After the trip, I went back to my computer. I read a couple of short comics, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the beginning of the weekend auction house on several characters. I checked on my friends who play the game again while I got ranged Olga and went to her villain supergroup meeting. I found Marius already there. The player soon brought his other member, too. Dr. Faustus and Patience joined us, as did Anya and the other most regular of our new players. We'd been warned that our leader couldn't make it. We ran a mid-level taskforce, poking fun at it since we were villains helping a hero. I had to switch to melee-ranged Olga, because ranged Olga is one level too low, and I'm not ready to go up yet. We chatted most of the time through the taskforce. Next, our meeting broke up. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting on melee-ranged Olga. After that, I got Ana. I ran into Pierogies, who was just leaving, but it was easy to talk him into doing one mission together. We finished as Kitten showed up, but it was too close to bed for Pierogies, and too close to dinner to run content with them at that time. So, we teamed up to talk but didn't run content. I had dinner with main nurse, his TV, and started reading "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. {Smile}

After dinner, I read a few comics, then finished writing up Thursday's daily update. I paused to talk with some new acquaintances on Discord, as well as with Kitten. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. I found Kitten on two accounts, a farmer and a new toon the was levelling. (Yes, you can go up quickly in this game. I don't choose to, but Kitten prefers that.) I joined them in a farm, where we chatted. I did a little auction house, storage and crafting when that mission ended. Kitten started another form, but they also got a character on their third account so we could play while the farm did its thing passively. We did a mission that finished a high-level story arc, getting two badges. We talked about what to do next. I settled on two badge missions that gave me two badges each, and Kitten a few more, because I asked for credit for ones I knew they didn't have on that character. I worked on the in-game auction house, strange and crafting and updated Ana's badge record, all while learning about strategy from Kitten. I have so much to learn! They've complained more than once that my strategy is spotty at best. After that, I began writing this, though I soon switched to making notes. I didn't close many windows until very close to the end because I kept looking stuff up but somehow stayed more focused than usual when I don't. I checked Cross Stitch World and played a little while getting ready for bed. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 2, 2026

The night before Thursday, I got into bed a few minutes before 2 am, sure I'd made my first goal. That does feel good. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I got into my counselling. we started, then had it quit on us. I couldn't connect to HMSA again, so we ended up doing it over Zoom, which will cost a copay I don't have to pay with HMSA's own system, but at least it worked. My counsellor was very happy with the progress I'd made looking into alternatives for my future. I was relieved. I didn't think I'd done that much. {Smile}

After counselling, I read a few articles, then started reading comics, which continued over lunch. When I had my hands free again, I wrote up Wednesday's daily update. Then I began looking into special mirrors to look at my back. I found some that let you look at the back of your head, but I want further down, to spot incipient boils. For now, I'm paying a nurse to check my back for incipient boils. It's expensive, but it does catch boils and get them treated before they're hospital worthy. Next, I began studying an aspect of City of Heroes: Homecoming that I haven't seen much about. I hope it will help me play through personal stories of some of my characters. It did help me get into City of Heroes: Homecoming late. I checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I looked around for something to do. I spotted a high-level, large-group trial that Ana didn't have all the badges from. I ran it twice and got one badge. There are two more badges to go. I updated her badge record. Then I had dinner with my main nurse and Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

After dinner, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went back to my computer. I read some comics and went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and said hi to Dr. Faustus and some other friends on Discord. Next, I spotted the pair of high-level taskforces recruiting, so I joined and ran them on Soo-In Park, who's working on a badge they go towards this week. I realized a little late that Ana could do a pair for part of the special reward for the first one done this week. Well, maybe she'll catch one before the rewards change. I worked on the in-game auction house storage and crafting on Soo-in, then Ana. After that, I checked on my friends who play the game again. I did a little more work on the new project until Dr. Faustus said hi on Discord. I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. I teamed up with dr. Faustus with me on ranged Olga, and we did my last hero-themed mission I wanted to do on her at her current level. Then we returned to the less heroic part of the world, where our characters are mostly based. We did a mission there. Then we said goodnight. Yes, it was already time; we'd started that late. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on Olga. Next, I checked on my friends who play the game again. I wrote some in this and took a break to looked into mirrors on the net again. I did find ones that look at the back as well as the head, but they're significantly more expensive. Not as expensive as the nurse can be over time, though. I went back to this to make notes. Then I found an article that I ended up reading despite it being late. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, July 1, 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed two or three minutes after 2 am. Only two days after the really late night, I was just relieved to miss my first goal by so little. {Smile}

After breakfast, the nursing company secretary came for the monthly check. We talked a bit, which we both enjoyed. Then she talked with my main nurse. Next, she sat in her car. I went out to say goodbye before she left. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse took me to the Department of Aging. I picked up most of their pamphlets, though I didn't talk to anyone. Then my main nurse dropped me at the public library. I returned four books. While browsing the manga, I got a phone call from nursing company secretary. She really wanted my main nurse, who wasn't with me. I picked out 5 more comic books, both manga (Japanese) and manhwa (Korean). I started one of the manhwas while waiting for my main nurse and continued reading it on my way home. {Smile}

After breakfast, I got onto my computer and read some articles. I began writing up Tuesday's daily update, with a few breaks to read comics and watch videos, but not as many as when I hope all the windows open already. I did finish more quickly, though not as quickly as when I haven't opened anything yet. I read more comics afterwards, including over lunch. Then came our trip out. When we got back, I went back to my computer. I read more comics and talked with Nox and other friends on Discord. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming late. Dr. Faustus said hi, and I said hi to Pierogies. The three of us got together for two or three missions before dinner with me on Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. Pierogies was ready to stop then anyway. I had dinner with my main nurse, his TV, and "Dreamer" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. (_Tailored Realities_ is a collection of short to medium length stories, all by Brandon Sanderson.) {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer. I talked with Nox, Pierogies, Kitten, Dennis and Shepherd on Discord. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I let Dr. Faustus and others know I was in the game through Discord. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Hezabell. Dr. Faustus came into City of Heroes: Homecoming and said hi. We teamed up with me on Oleva, the new-villain-supergroup member, and them with two then three of her supergroup mates. We finished the story arc we'd been doing together. Then we roleplayed a bit. We continued talking about our characters on Discord. Next, I wrote a little in this, quickly switching to making notes to write from the next day.  I ended my day with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, June 30, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed shortly before 2 am - like a minute or two before. That was so much better than the night before, I was very relieved. I actually met my first goal, if by a very slim margin. {Smile}

Late in the morning, I got a phone call from the nursing company secretary. We arranged for her to pick up my check for the next month on the next day, Wednesday. {smile}

After lunch, my substitute relief nurse and I went out. We ran a few errands while I played Cross Stitch World. Then we stopped at the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens. I picked out a guava cream popsicle, which I ate on the way home. {Smile}

I ate breakfast with my substitute relief nurse. I read Forward Day by Day, and started reading the Fairytail Omnibus manga, which I'd gotten at the Public Library. After breakfast, I went onto my computer and wrote up Monday's daily update before opening other windows. I got the call from the nursing company secretary while writing. Then I read web comics, continuing right over lunch. Our trip out was next. When we got back, I went onto my computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I went to my teen supergroup's base on Aneira, since their weekly meeting would start soon. I paused in the lobby to check on my friends who play the game. As I finished, I realized that Veronica and Jawsome had stopped by me, and Veronica had brought a friend. Veronica let me know privately that she's one of the newer members in our villain supergroup. Nyxy's Pella soon joined us. Ulty and Jenny's Player were otherwise occupied, so the five of us did a single, low-level mission that's useful in building characters to get Veronica's friend up a level. After that, we ran a mid-level, taskforce together that's known for being short as taskforces go, often lasting around an hour. We roleplayed a little afterwards. Veronica's friend left first, after admitting she was tired. We continued to roleplay. Then Jawsome admitted he was tired and left. We only roleplayed a little more after that before Pella and Veronica left too. Alone, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Aneira. Then I switched to Valentina Matos, and joined the late night short, large-group event. After I ran it, I had dinner with my substitute relief nurse and read the beginning of a manga I didn't care for. I'll just return it and a relative to the public library. {Smile}

After supper, I went back to my computer. I read a comic or two and checked Discord. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I tried to find something going on, but it was unusually quiet. Kitten came on, and we talked. We tried to run the pair of high-level taskforces on Veronica Matos and one of their characters, but we got stuck in the last part of the first mission. We quit and recruited a full team of eight. We ran the pair of taskforces with little trouble. Then I checked other things, including Discord. After that, I switched to Aneira, and Dr. Faustus joined us. We finished a story arc she had, then did two individual missions before we said goodnight. Then we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Aneira, then Valentina Matos. Next, I checked and played a little Cross Stitch World. Realizing it was later than I meant to run, I wrote only a little in this, mostly making notes in this to write from the next day. I did pause to check Discord and talk with Dr. Faustus some more. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
