Daily Update, July 10, 2025

On Thursday before lunch, my main nurse took me down to Clinical Labs. I signed in to get my blood tests. They had labs from my cardiologist. but not from my regular physician. Luckily, the office sent them right over when called. I guess they weren't out to lunch yet. We've tried when they were on their lunch break, and I've had to go away without, and come back another day. I'm so glad that didn't happen this time. They took my blood, which was flowing slowly for unknown reasons. Then my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise beyond some mini-Kegels, but between Zumba Gold yesterday and Ballroom Dance; Cha-Cha tomorrow, I hope it won't be a problem. {Smile}

Between breakfast and the trip out, I browsed on the web, played Cross Stitch World, and chatted on the chat server. Then on the trip out, I played Cross Stitch World both in the car and in the waiting room. After I got back, I played Cross Stitch World, browsed on the web, and read web comics right into lunch. During lunch, I started writing my daily update. I took enough breaks the writing ran after lunch, significantly into the afternoon. Then I chatted a little on the chat server. {Smile}

Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I teamed up with Pierogies. We were both in the mood for badge hunting, so when I figured out that my best badge collector had a badge he didn't, I got my second-best badge collector for it. While we waited for Kitten to join us, I helped one of Pierogies' characters with a badge. When Kitten joined us, we went after a giant monster in the new zone. We realized we couldn't do it by ourselves. We called for help and got the monster, though I was the leader, and I failed to invite all who wanted to come. We each got a badge (unless we already had it) and other particularly nice rewards (whether we'd gotten them before or not). Aa few others stayed, including a distant friend, who took over leading We did a mission with zombies with extreme body modification. Then we fought a long-established but particularly rewarding giant monster. After that, several left. I switched characters to do a high-level individual mission before my distant friend and a friend of their left. With me leading again, Kitten, Pierogies, one good player on a new character and I did one more similar mission. Then we switched to missions in other dimensions. We fought a lot of robots, many of them steampunk themed, then we fought those body-modifying anarchists before I said goodbye and left for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I chatted on the chat server. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I got out my teen supergroup member and hunted the Asian tattoo-loving gang and the anarchists who love body modification. Then Kitten said hi, and we teamed up. I said hi to Dr. Faustus on the chat server, and he came in and joined us. I switched to my moderately low-level villain supergroup member, and we did two of my favorite story arcs while "on vacation" in the hero section. First, we helped a guy find out how his father died. This involved rescuing his girlfriend a couple of times, since she kept getting caught by a gang of homeless that are gradually being transformed into aliens. Dennis joined us near the end of that story arc. Then we helped a gal by rescuing her father from that same gang. After that, Dennis left. Dr. Faustus, Kitten and I went back to the villain section to start a story arc about a gal searching for information about her brother, who she believes dead. Kitten soon left to rest, and a new friend of Dr. Faustus's joined us who was doing the same arc I was. We got partway through and stopped so I could make notes in this, and the new fellow could get on with his day. While taking notes, I slipped in breaks for web browsing and for minimal paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming. {Smile}
