Daily Update, May 26, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed just a couple minutes after 2 am. No, I didn't meet my first goal, but at least I didn't miss it by much. {smile}

Shortly after breakfast, my relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center a little over half an hour before my Creative writing starts, so he could go to an appointment of his own. I not only played Cross Stitch World on the way down, but while I waited for the previous class to finish and clear out, which it did a while after 11 am. I suspect the class ended at eleven, but seniors going to class for enrichment are not as quick to clear out of a classroom as younger students. {Smile}

The class went well, though I had to admit I had nothing to share. I said I was still trying to write my way out of writer's block, which meant writing about the story instead of writing the story. I also mentioned thinking of trying easier projects and working up to the hard ones. Our teacher really encouraged that, even quoting "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." to encourage us to take on large projects gradually, instead of all at once. I was able to make some suggestions for others when it got time for sharing, despite not having something to share, myself. After class, my relief nurse took me home. I played Cross Stich world on the way. {Smile}

When I got home, I went onto my computer. I checked articles and comics and wrote a little of Monday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I went to the teen supergroup meeting on Aneira, my higher-level member, and arrived just as the most regular member did. I checked on my friends who play the game while we started roleplaying. Nyxy's Pella, Jenny's Player's new character, the new gal and one more arrived, but the last one left again. After she did, we ran a taskforce together. Ulty spoke up on our leader near the end. We finished the taskforce and went back to our base to roleplay. Ulty and gal who'd left rejoined us. The gal who left before, left again. I let my character zone out so I could go eat dinner with my relief nurse. I read Forward Day by Day and watched TV during dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I checked on the teen supergroup meeting. It was still going strong, so I rejoined the roleplaying. Folks gradually left, starting with our most regular player. He left much later than usual but still left first. I left just after Pella, the last person to be speaking much. The new gal's character hadn't said anything since before I left for dinner. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Then I checked on my friends who play the game. I talked with Seb, but he was busy roleplaying, so I finished writing Monday's daily update I got sidetracked just after I finished writing it videos and comics but got back to sharing it when Nox said goodnight. Next, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and found Dr. Faustus. We talked and teamed up. We ran much of a story arc my Seameownt had.  That's the character Kitten designed. After that, we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Then I wrote some of this. I broke to check and play a little Cross Stitch World. I also checked Aneira and fixed her up better. Then I made notes in this, with a few short breaks. I said the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King to close out my evening. {Smile}
