The night before Friday, I got to bed a few minutes before 2 am, so I made my first goal again. It does feel good when I can say that! {SMILE}
After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my first Ballroom Dance: Mambo class of the session. It turns out mambo is slightly different than the salsa I taught myself, with a different starting beat for otherwise the same step. I caught on quickly, especially with the moves I know in salsa dancing. I practiced the new ones more and hope I'm starting to get muscle memory for them. I'm happy with how much I got in just one class. I danced with a few different partners, including a gal who I've never seen at this class before. though she's done Wednesday night sometimes, and we attended the same party once. After class, my main nurse took me back home. I read _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_ both on the way down, and on the way back, since it's due next week. {Smile}
That afternoon, I learned on Discord, the chat server, that my villain supergroup meeting was cancelled because of a party. Most members were either going to the party or not coming to the game at all. I made sure the party wasn't private. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Then I tried to go to the party on Anka, my best badge collector, a well-developed character I don't play as much as I used to. She saw an old friend and said hi. The friend was watching the crowd, so Anka did, too. I spotted one of Dr. Faustus's characters who'd be likely to notice that Anka is a strong psychic, and let them know, but they left without responding. I turned back to the old friend, but they had left. I looked over the crowd. One friend was on a character none of my characters have met. Two friends were on characters a few of my characters know, but they were up on the stage. One was the announcer, the other possibly a dancer. Neither were free to talk. I considered having Anka take a turn bartending, since she used to do that often, though it's been years. However, the crowd looked like all I'd get were brief requests for drinks, which is the side of bartending Anka is worst at. So, I left. I mentioned leaving to some friends on Discord, which may have been a mistake. Only Kitten, who dislikes parties, agreed with my choice.
I had breakfast with my main nurse, then left for class. After we got back, I went onto my computer. I read web comics over lunch, then wrote up Thursday's daily update. Then I found out about the party, and tried to go to it, but left early, as I've described. Alone again, I worked on a badge on Ana. I started talking with a distant friend who's recently begun coming more often again. He mentioned wanting to roleplay, and I told him about the villain supergroup that normally meets Friday evening/afternoon. I stopped working on the badge and switched to melee-ranged Olga. we met each other. I spotted Marius and invited him to join us. I showed my distant friend around the base. I had to leave quickly because dinner was ready. I had dinner with my main nurse, his TV, and _Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku_. {Smile}
After dinner, I went back to my computer and back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found the same friend, and I showed him Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. We talked both in-character and out-of-character in the game. Then we actually talked using voice on Discord, mainly out-of-character. Eventually he left for the night. I went back to Cit of heroes: Homecoming and really finished the badge I'd almost finished on Ana earlier. Then I worked on other badges, starting at least one, and getting two more. I updated her badge record, and worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on her. Then I wrote a tiny bit in this. I closed most of the windows I had open on my computer before making notes to write from the next day. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. I got to bed later than I like. {Smile}
