Daily Update, October 28, 2025

On Tuesday after breakfast, I checked the instructions to make a new account for Dad's estate. It's a little more complicated than I thought, but not too bad.

When I was done with that, my relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my creative writing class. I tentatively shared an idea of collecting the tsunami stories I've collected from relatives. I figure that's a workable theme for a collection of stories. I mentioned four stories to the teacher, then remembered a fifth when I told the class. their responses seemed tentatively positive. I'm hopeful about this. I have so many stories from Dad, and a few from others. I really don't know how to arrange them. The collection is too diverse yet not complete enough for a biography of Dad. They mostly cover early parts of Dad's life, and much less of later parts... Trying to collect them along themes might be a better approach. When class was done, my relief nurse picked me up and took me home. {Smile}

When we got home, I went into city of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Then Kitten said hi, and I noticed in time for a short talk before my teen supergroup meeting. We started off role-playing, since the leader had asked ahead of time if they could do one of my story arcs. I talked about the line of story arcs that I've been doing, where I deliberately stopped between arcs so we could start at the beginning of one, and maybe get a whole arc at once. However, I stepped away a few times, and someone mentioned a much higher-level source of story arcs. I jumped in to suggest mine, though trying to be open to their suggestion. They picked mine, and we went to the post-apocalyptic zone. We helped a blind seer learn what was troubling the spirits in the area. finishing shortly before my dinnertime. We went back to the supergroup's base and began to roleplay. I had my character fall asleep so I could go eat with my relief nurse. {Smile}

I came back to find they'd disbanded shortly after I left. I checked on my friends in the game and found Dr. Faustus on. I tried to join him in a taskforce, only to learn they'd filled just before I asked. So, I did some auction house, storage, and crafting. Then I got out a low-level character and did a few missions by myself. Next, Dennis came on, so I switched characters to join him. Dr. Faustus finished his taskforce and joined us, too. Dennis wanted to do that Halloween trial, which meant we needed a fourth character. I invited a friend, but Dr. Faustus found someone who was free sooner. my friend left for bed while we were running the trial. We got all four badges for that trial. Then the same group ran the movie trial, which also needs four. We got eight of the ten badges, missing the one I was missing, and the one Dennis was missing. After that, Dennis left for bed. Dr. Faustus's friend left, too, and Dr. Faustus and I took a break that ended up longer than I meant it to be because I wrote up and shared my daily update before going back. I started to talk with Nox on Discord before I was done. Then I let Dr. Faustus know I was ready after I finished. We ran the next story arc for us in that post-apocalyptic setting. Then I worked on auction house, storage, and crafting. I switched to making notes in this, then shopped on Amazon much longer than I meant to. I ended the evening with the Lord's Prayer and Forward Day by Day and went to bed later than I like to. {smile}
