Daily Update, July 3, 2026

The night before Friday, i got to bed a few minutes after 2 am. I blame finding an article I wanted to read rather than find again while shutting down my computer. I knew it might make me late but did it anyway. between the late bedtime and getting up more than usual in the night, I was pretty tired after breakfast, so I lay down and took a nap. After that, I definitely felt better. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse took me down to the lawyer's office for the paperwork they called me about on Wednesday, but they were closed. After calling them and getting a message about being closed today, I realized they must have closed because the fourth of July is a Saturday, so many businesses close on the day before to mark the holiday. My main nurse took me back home. I started reading _Demon Slayer: Kietsu no Taiba: Sighs from the Wind_, a light novel (Japanese young adult novel) connected to the manga and anime series, Demon Slayer. {Smile}

During breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I took a nap. Then I went onto my computer. I read articles and comics right over lunch. Then we took our trip out. After the trip, I went back to my computer. I read a couple of short comics, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the beginning of the weekend auction house on several characters. I checked on my friends who play the game again while I got ranged Olga and went to her villain supergroup meeting. I found Marius already there. The player soon brought his other member, too. Dr. Faustus and Patience joined us, as did Anya and the other most regular of our new players. We'd been warned that our leader couldn't make it. We ran a mid-level taskforce, poking fun at it since we were villains helping a hero. I had to switch to melee-ranged Olga, because ranged Olga is one level too low, and I'm not ready to go up yet. We chatted most of the time through the taskforce. Next, our meeting broke up. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting on melee-ranged Olga. After that, I got Ana. I ran into Pierogies, who was just leaving, but it was easy to talk him into doing one mission together. We finished as Kitten showed up, but it was too close to bed for Pierogies, and too close to dinner to run content with them at that time. So, we teamed up to talk but didn't run content. I had dinner with main nurse, his TV, and started reading "Perfect State" in _Tailored Realities_ by Brandon Sanderson. {Smile}

After dinner, I read a few comics, then finished writing up Thursday's daily update. I paused to talk with some new acquaintances on Discord, as well as with Kitten. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. I found Kitten on two accounts, a farmer and a new toon the was levelling. (Yes, you can go up quickly in this game. I don't choose to, but Kitten prefers that.) I joined them in a farm, where we chatted. I did a little auction house, storage and crafting when that mission ended. Kitten started another form, but they also got a character on their third account so we could play while the farm did its thing passively. We did a mission that finished a high-level story arc, getting two badges. We talked about what to do next. I settled on two badge missions that gave me two badges each, and Kitten a few more, because I asked for credit for ones I knew they didn't have on that character. I worked on the in-game auction house, strange and crafting and updated Ana's badge record, all while learning about strategy from Kitten. I have so much to learn! They've complained more than once that my strategy is spotty at best. After that, I began writing this, though I soon switched to making notes. I didn't close many windows until very close to the end because I kept looking stuff up but somehow stayed more focused than usual when I don't. I checked Cross Stitch World and played a little while getting ready for bed. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
