Monday was my father's birthday. That finally doesn't mean a day when I can't pull myself out of missing him. I mean I didn't miss him much. I remembered him, but no overwhelming sadness... I guess I'm finally getting used to not having him around. {bite lips}
Also, it was my second night of mostly sleeping decently if you ignore getting to bed half an hour late and having to get up a couple of times. So, I needed a nap after breakfast more than my line dancing class, which I stayed home from. I'll just have to explain my absence when I'm better, which I fully anticipate will be next week. Yes, I am getting better, though I am not fully well yet. {Smile}
A while after lunch, my relief nurse took me to my podiatrist, who trimmed my toenails and inspected my feet. I think they felt his touch every time, despite feeling a pins and needles sensation. Feeling the sensations is good. My diabetes can make my feet too numb to feel. Then it's hard to notice if I get hurt, and that's how diabetic foot trouble snowballs. So, feeling every touch is a good sign. After the appointment, my relief nurse took me back home. {Smile}
On rides, during meals, and when waiting for my appointment, I read The Unjust Steward by Miguel Escobar. After my nap, I had lunch with my relief nurse, who is happy I am taking it easy and not trying to overdo it when I have an ear infection. After lunch, I went onto my computer. I read articles and comics on the web and played a little Cross Stitch World before I went to my podiatrist. After the podiatrist, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I checked the auction house and storage in the game before I settled into crafting for a while. That ended when Kitten said mew. We teamed up, with Kitten on their new character, who's just reached fifty, the highest unenhanced level. I started to work on getting them a badge to improve their stamina, first by collecting badges you visit one or more places for. I also picked up similar badges we need for a badge that improves their toughness. We got into a mission for it in a way that folks can't join after we start, so of course Dennis said hi in the middle of it. We had to finish before I could invite him to join us. Then we worked on a couple of missions that help with a couple of hunt-badges, followed by some regular hunting outside the missions until dinner, which was that close.
After dinner, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I didn't spot Dennis or Kitten, so I wrote up Monday's update quickly. Kitten said hi when it was almost done. I got it finished, since I was so close, then joined Kitten in the game. They had the badge we'd been working on before dinner. We did another badge that improves their toughness, first for one of Kitten's characters, then for one of mine. Next, we started working on two more similar badges, getting the easy-visit stuff for both done. All that's left is hunts for one and missions for the other. After that, Kitten went quiet. I got a couple of critters for one hunt before they timed out. Then I contacted Dr. Faustus, who meant to join me, but internet connectivity on their end prevented that. I tried another hunt I needed, but it was too hard. So, I adjusted my character's abilities, seeing a few ways to improve her. That hunt was still too hard, so I did a mission-hunt and some talks on the character, followed by minimal auction house and storage. Then I pushed to make notes on this before ending the evening with the Lord's Prayer and Forward Day by Day. {Smile}
