Daily Update, November 19, 2025

On Wednesday, a while after breakfast, the nursing company secretary, my substitute nurse, took me to Auntie Sally's Luau hale for my Fusion Dance Class. I arrived a bit early, so I had a little time to visit with folks. I also signed up for the next class, which won't be in the winter session that starts in January, but in the spring session that follows. in March or April. The next session will have the classes at Aunty Sally's Luau Hale move around, which means one of the butler Buildings if nothing else. My instructor hates that butler building, so she'd rather take time off. She mentioned that she teaches classes at the YMCA, but one is entirely too early, and the other is borderline too early. Still, I have started to look around for something that works for me. The class itself went well. We did some new dances, since we'd been doing Halloween stuff earlier, and that's over. After class, my substitute nurse took me back home. {Smile}

At home, I had lunch with my substitute nurse. Then I went onto my computer. I read a lot of articles and comics on the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I began with working on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. I paused to check on my friends who play the game and mentioned on Discord that I was in the game before continuing the auction house, storage and crafting. I noticed that Pierogies said he was having an early night, so have fun over on Discord. When I got tired, I did a few hunts by myself before having dinner with my substitute nurse. {Smile}

After dinner, I read articles on the web before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on more in-game auction house, storage, and crafting until I noticed Dennis had come on. I said hi, and we teamed up after I found that my third best badge collector needed a badge he said was next and switched to her. We ran mission and I got that badge, while Dennis got that badge and a bigger badge it's part of. We tried to get the bigger badge for me until I realized that I had probably gotten it a different way. Next, we did more missions until Dennis went to bed. After he left, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Then I read articles and comics on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Next, I researched dance classes in Hilo, especially mid-week. I wasn't satisfied but did learn the next session starts earlier than I thought, early in January, which is a relief. Exercising on my own for three weeks isn't as bad as doing so for a month and a half. After that, I made notes in this. I finished my evening by reading Forward Day by Day and saying the Lord's Prayer.

Daily Update, November 18, 2025

Tuesday was busy. After breakfast, the secretary of the nursing company took me down to Mohouli Park for the monthly picnic/meeting Aloha Independent Living hosts for handicapped/disabled individuals. I assured her she could join us, but she just sat to one side and watched. I enjoyed the food, and the company, especially talking with Shannon, who I sat next to. {Smile}

When it got close to the time my writing class starts, I left, and the nursing company secretary took me to Kamana Senior Center for my Creative Writing Class. It looked like it was just getting going when I got there. We had a good session, with a nice talk by our instructor, and a good time for sharing our work with other students. Our group had three, one of whom was a guest who didn't bring anything. I read a short piece I'd written twice, in between two pieces a fellow brought. I also tried out a new, collapsible water bottle that I can carry in my purse and fill to drink from if I forget my usual water bottle, which I had. It worked pretty well. After class, the nursing company secretary took me back home. {Smile}

At home I settled onto my computer. I read just a few articles on the web before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, and worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Pierogies sad hi, and we talked before and at the beginning of the teen SG meeting. I went to the teen supergroup meeting, arriving about on time. It started with some nice roleplaying. One gal left before we moved on to playing the game. The rest of us did the last mission of the story arc of mine we did last week. Then we did another, distantly related story arc of mine from beginning to end, running right through dinner, which I had at my computer. Afterwards, we roleplayed winding down in our base. Eventually the meeting broke up. {Smile}

After the meeting, I wrote up Monday's daily update. As I was finishing up, Kitten said hi. They joined a strike force which I joined too, and we ran it together. Then we and much of the team hunted a giant monster. I knew my second-best badge collector needed that particular monster, so I switched to her and got two badges when I got the critter. Next, Kitten found a trial to join and start while I was updating my badge records. While I was waiting for Kitten, Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I joined, and tried to get Kitten to join, but it filled too fast, and they'd done it earlier. I ran the taskforce with Phonso. Kitten faded out after a while, like they'd fallen asleep. The taskforce found a giant monster, so when we were done, most went to hunt it. Of that group, I actually found it, and we got it. Then I joined Phonso in a strike force. Dr. Faustus said hi while I was joining, and I got them to join the strike force. Rav joined on their own. We ran it together. When it was done, the group broke up, and Phonso left. I joined Dr. Faustus to finish the story arc we'd started the other night. Kitten joined us partway through, and another player Kitten knows better than I do joined a little later. After the story arc, I left and made notes in this. I took a break to play Cross Stitch World, and another break to read part of a n article on the web. When I finished, I said the Lord's Prayer and read Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 17, 2025

On Monday, late in the morning, my main nurse took me down to Aunty Sally's Luau Hale for my first timer's line dance class. I got there early enough to visit a bit before the class began. I'm beginning to be more comfortable with that. I also signed up for next session and picked up a couple of calendars they were selling. I think our instructor announced that her assistant would be our teacher for the next session. I know he took over after the first dance or two, like he often does. I think she means he'll take over entirely next session. He's a good dancer, and a good teacher, so I'm looking forward to it. When class was over, my main nurse came and took me home. {Smile}

At home, I had lunch while I read articles and comics on the web. Then the secretary of the nursing company came over to relieve my main nurse, who left. Then secretary took me to my appointment to get my ears checked. I expected a hearing test to see if I'd lost hearing to the recent ear infection. However, the audiologist found that the ear that had been infected was still red, which means it's infected, whether still or again. He did change my hearing aids' tips and ear buds, and they're louder now. I hope that fixes the not hearing behind me problem my main nurse pointed out. {Smile}

Afterwards, the secretary of the nursing company took me home. There, I got back onto my computer and read more articles and comics on the web before finally going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, then worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Next, I looked into badges to get on both my third best badge collector and my second-best badge collector. At least my second-best badge collector is mostly past the easy badges to get. This took me up to dinnertime. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Sunday's daily update, taking breaks to read articles and comics on the web. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I began to look at badges again until I realized Dennis and Kitten had come on and said hi. We talked, and I teamed up with Dennis. Kitten joined us, and the three of us started doing missions. Then Dr. Faustus came on, said hi, and joined us. We did some more missions. Then we split up when I had to get ready for bed. Next, I made notes in this, taking breaks to read articles and comics on the web, and to play Cross Stitch World. I finished the evening by saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 16, 2025

On Sunday after breakfast, my man nurse and I found notes on our phones from Auntie Barbara saying she was under the weather and not coming to church. Mine asked me to pass on good wishes, especially to Charlotte if I went on my own. {Smile}

Then my main nurse took me to church. We arrived during the announcements, which isn't "really late," like arriving after the service itself has begun. It was a nice service. I noticed kids weren't there, but their father sat in front of us. The male teacher talked to him. Then he went onto the lanai and fixed something up. Next, he gave it to father; I caught glimpse of kid-friendly art. I think Sunday School is going to them; they must not be up to coming. {Smile}

We ate on the lanai afterwards. It was a nice, big spread. Afterwards, my main nurse took to Charlotte's and dropped me off, saying he had stuff to do before coming to get me. We had a nice visit. My nurse came just before her nephew came. He got to say hi, but when her nephew showed up, we quickly left so they could visit without non-family. {Smile}

At home, I got onto my computer and read articles and comics on the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecomings. I checked on my friends but found no one I usually team with. So, I did a long bout of auction house, storage and crafting. Then I quickly cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I read articles and comics on the web. I also watched videos on the web. I also checked City of Heroes; Homecoming, especially checking on my friends. I tried to write up Saturday's daily update as well, but I found I kept going back to the articles, comics, and videos, as well as Christmas shopping on Amazon. I finally finished Saturday's daily update. I talked with Nox on Discord, the chat server a bit. I also went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I checked on my friends who play the game. I found Dr. Faustus, and after a little wait, we got together. We talked, then teamed up to finish a story arc and start its sequel. They were both set in a particularly industrialized part of the Caribbean. When we stopped, we said goodnight. I did a little auction house, storage, and crafting, then made notes in this, taking breaks tom read articles on the web and play Cross Stitch World. After that, I finished the evening by saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 15, 2025

On Saturday, in the afternoon, I got a call from my relief nurse. He's in the hospital. I hope they have found what is bothering him. {smile}

A while before dinner, I got ready to go to a party the ballroom dance group that sponsors my lessons hosted. I went in the shirt I wanted to wear, but my second choice for a skirt, because my first choice needed more alteration than my sewing machine was managing.  I hope that when I have more time, I can make it work. It just needs some tucks int he waistband. {Smile}

When I was ready, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center. I found the party in full swing in the classroom we use, with my instructor, his assistant, and many fellow students in attendance, as well as people I don't know yet. I visited with a gal I dance with frequently, but we didn't dance before dinner, and she left right afterwards. I did dance with my teacher and another gal I partner with, and more than once with my teacher's assistant and the guy whose wife is on a trip, and a new gal I just met that night who's delighted to discover I'm a good dancer and can follow a lead. I called my nurse when they were winding down, and he picked me up not long after the last song. We stopped to talk with friends a bit on the way home, but not long. {SMILE}

I got to bed late the previous night. Add concern about not being too tired for the party, and I took a nap after breakfast. Then I got onto my computer, where I read articles and comics on the web until lunch. I wrote up my daily update over lunch, finishing after lunch proper. Then I went into City of Heroes, Homecoming. early. I stared with the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, then checked on my friends. Next, I did more auction house, storage and crafting until Pierogies said hi. We teamed up and did a couple of moderately high-level missions. After the second, he apologized for having to leave, but he had to rest. I pointed out that the second mission was as long as three or at least two regular missions. He was happier with that thought. After he left, I did a hunt by myself and hunted for badges on the character I'd teamed with Pierogies on until it was time to get ready to leave. {Smile}

After I got back, I got onto my computer. I read articles and a comic on the web. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, and started with the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Then i checked on my friends. I spotted Dennis and realized he'd messaged me earlier. I'd missed it, s o I apologized. I joined the team he was doing villain missions with, and we did a few missions together. Then Dennis left, and the whole team broke up when he did. I did some auction house, storage and crafting. I also made notes in this, with breaks for articles and a comic on the web, as well as some Cross Stitch World. I ended my day by saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 14, 2025

On Friday before breakfast, I called First Hawaiian Bank and cancelled my appointment that afternoon. They thanked me for doing so. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my Ballroom Dance: Fox Trot class. Despite being not that early, I was the first there besides, the teacher, his assistant, and the assistant's husband, who checks us in, maybe because of the rain. While we waited for others, I learned about the collapse of the footbridge to Coconut Island, a popular park in Hilo, where I live. Not as many came, maybe because of the rain. I danced with a fellow twice whose wife is on a trip. I also danced with the teacher's assistant, and two of the women students I usually dance with. I also learned about a party the next day. After a misunderstanding, I'm hoping to go to it. My main nurse picked me up and took me home afterwards. {Smile}

At home, I had lunch while reading articles and comics on the web. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. early. I checked on my friends who play the game, All the ones I most make a point to team with were missing, so I did a long round of work on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, especially the extra work at the beginning of a weekend, and starting to finish a crafting project on my fourth-best badge collector. I worked on that right up until the villain supergroup meeting. The meeting started with a little roleplaying and planning. Then we did a mid-level villain story arc. It got my moderately high-level member a badge she had missed. We even finished in time for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I wrote up Thursday's daily update. then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, and immediately started on auction house, storage, and crafting, especially finishing that crafting project on my fourth best badge collector. Along the way, I began talking to Nox on Discord, the chat server. I also checked on my friends on City of Heroes: Homecoming. I talked with Divi, Jenny's Player, Nyxy, and Dragons while continuing to work on the auction house, storage, and crafting in the game. Dragons was looking for something to do and found a taskforce. It filled shortly before I finished the crafting project, so I wished them well. Then a spot opened, and they invited me. I found a character who hadn't done it, and ran it, getting a bunch of badges when I only expected one or two. Then Dragons and I found a story arc both their character, and the character Kitten designed could get. So, I switched characters, and we did a few missions. Dennis joined us early in the story arc. Maybe half-way through, we split up, ready or almost ready to move on. I made notes in this with breaks to read comics and articles on the web. I finished the evening with saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 13, 2025

On Thursday at lunch time, I had my appointment with my nutritionist. It went well. She's happy that I'm maintaining my weight and getting so much dance three times a week. She helped me plan for my next break between sessions, since that will be around a month long. It's too long to just stop exercising for a while, {Smile}

Then a while after lunch, my main nurse took me to my primary care physician. My doctor went over the tests I had on Monday, which were mostly good. He's quite happy with my overall health, including what we told him about my diet and my exercise, especially the dance classes. After the appointment, my main nurse stopped at Longs Drugs before going back to my place. {Smile}

After breakfast, I read articles and comics on the web until my appointment. During and after the appointment, I had lunch. After lunch, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends, and found Div. He was in a mission I couldn't join, but I had not quite half an hour before I had to get ready for my doctor's appointment. So, we talked until I had to leave. His character joined mine near the end. we hope to get together "soon," but I'm not sure how soon I can manage. Then I had my doctor appointment. After we got back, I relaxed by reading articles on the web. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends, then quickly wrote a story for some of my friends on Discord, the chat server. I copied the story for my writing class, since it's close... maybe even what they're teaching. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I hunted by myself on the character Kitten designed until Kitten said hi. I stayed on that character as we teamed up. We did a couple of missions of mine, starting a story arc, before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, main nurse helped me clean myself up. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update, reading comics and articles on the web during more than one break. Next, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, and worked on in-game auction house, storage and crafting until Kitten said hi. We teamed up with me on the same character, ran more missions in the same story arc. Rav joined us for the last hunt and mission. I trained and began to start another mission until I noticed the time. Instead, I apologized for needing to leave and said goodnight. I worked on in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Then I made notes in this, with breaks for articles on the web and Cross Stitch World. I also did some serious flossing. I'm not sure how that husk got wedged beneath my gum in the food trap, but it's right where something has been bothering me over a week. I think it's calming down nicely now. I even needed an extra-large knot in dental floss to get it out. Then I ended the evening with saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 12., 2025

On Wednesday after breakfast, my relief nurse left early for some medical tests which weren't easy to schedule another day. So, the nursing company secretary came over and took me to my Dance Fusion class when it was time. I got there slightly late but had a good session. I caught on to the first dance pretty quickly and kept up after that for the whole hour. After class, the nursing company secretary picked me up and took me home. She greeted me with the news that my relief nurse should be waiting for me by the time we got back. {Smile}

He was, so I had lunch with him. We actually talked more than we watched TV or than I read. After lunch and talking, I got onto my computer to find a note from Pierogies saying Div asked him to ask me to come in. It was a little old, but I quickly said I would and dashed into City of Heroes: Homecoming.  I found Div and we teamed up. Pierogies came in and joined us while we were getting going. The three of us started working on my character's endgame story arc which I had two more missions for. I also made more improvements she is now eligible for. Then Div and Pierogis left. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting until Kitten came on and said hi. I got the character they designed, and we almost started a long mission before I noticed it was only twenty minutes to dinner. We did a shorter, individual mission instead, and ended right before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Tuesday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and found Dennis. We teamed up and did some of Dennis's older missions until he left for bed. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting until Kitten said hi. We teamed up with me on the character they designed and did the long mission we didn't have time for before dinner. Pierogies joined us, then Dr. Faustus joined us too. We finished the long mission and did the next one, finishing the story arc. I started letting my character gain experience, since that was the last mission with the level I was at as tits maximum. We started a contact who is good up through four more levels and did three or four missions. I added a fellow Kitten spotted who was asking for a team, but he left after one mission. Pierogis went quiet and faded out during that mission. Then Kitten went quiet and faded out after the guy left. Dr Faustus stuck with me until we usually quit. We said goodnight. Then I worked on the in-game auction house and storage. Next, I made notes in this, checking City of Heroes: Homecoming a couple of times. When I finished the notes in this, I said the Lord's Prayer and read Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update. November 11, 2025

On Tuesday, my alarm was louder, but still easy to miss. I need to work on this. {rueful smile}

Around breakfast time, I checked the senior activities' schedule and found where they said they'd have no classes on November 11th because of Veterans' Day. So, I stayed home and got onto my computer. I read article on the web and watched a few videos on the web as well. Then I broke for lunch with my relief nurse. After lunch, I read more articles on the web. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I checked on my friends who play the game. I found Pierogies expecting that my teen supergroup meeting would prevent us from teaming. However, I'd gotten on early, and the supergroup now starts later because our clocks didn't move when most clocks did. So, I had almost 2 hours to play with him. We hunted for badges, getting all the easy badges for one of those character-improving badges I love, and starting two more complicated badges for the same badge. He already has one complicated badge. {Smile}

Then I went to my supergroup meeting slightly late. We both roleplayed and talked a bit out-of-character. Then leader asked if anyone had anything to do. I assured her I always have something to do and offered one of three story arcs I hadn't started yet. They had me pick one. Then one left, and the other three started it with me. My friend from the chat world joined us in the middle of the of the story arc. Next, the leader left. Then four left did another mission before the fellow who joined late left. I ate dinner at the computer while we continued. The three of us finished the second to the last mission, but the other two were both tired. We decided to wait on the rest until next week when we'd be fresh, and others might join us. I told the leader about this on Discord, and we talked a bit until she left. {Smile}

I also began talking with Nox on Discord, as well. Eventually, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends in the game, then worked on auction house, storage, and crafting until Dennis said hi. I joined him, and we did some of his missions. Then Dragons said hi just as Dennis got tired Dennis and I said goodnight. Then I joined Dragons, switching characters to join him in some low-level missions He recruited a group for the big one, and we ran it. Then I said goodnight. I went back and forth between working on the auction house, storage, and crafting in City of Heroes: Homecoming, and making notes in this. When that was done, I said the Lord's Prayer and read Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 10, 2025

The night before Monday I discovered we'd had a power failure. When I tried to set my clock, I could set the alarm, but the time wouldn't change, not minutes, not hours, at all. So, I set an alarm on my phone instead. It was too soft the next morning, but thankfully I was awake enough to hear it. Barely. I fiddled with the settings, and increased the volume to max. I'm not sure why it wasn't already. {smile}

After breakfast I called my doctor's office. I found out they'd called the tests in to the right lab last week, and again that morning. They didn't know why the lab couldn't find it Saturday. Then I emailed my financial adviser about a couple of things. {Smile}

Next, my relief nurse took me to first timer's line dancing. I discovered I had the wrong shoes. I was wearing sandals meant to be kicked off, which are hard to keep on in the dances where we kick. I managed, sort of, by trying to point instead, but it's easier to kick along with everyone else. {smile}

After class, my relief nurse took me to Clinical Labs, who did have my tests this time. So, they collected the necessary samples. After that, my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

Back home, I had lunch with my relief nurse. Then I got onto my computer. I read articles and comics on the web. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming late. I checked on my friends, then started to play by myself on a mid-level character. Pierogies said hi during my first mission. I happily invited him to join me, and he did. That was so much more fun! We did two or three missions together. Then he said he was tired when I mentioned spotting the later short, large-group event being advertised. Pierogies and I said goodnight, and I joined the later short, large-group event and ran it. Next, I joined and ran the later long, large-group event. Partway through, Dennis joined too. I loved doing it together in part because he doesn't do large-group events often. I don't think he really likes them, but somehow that makes it special when he does them anyway. The later long, large-group event ran a little into dinner, but I just got to it slightly late. As I got ready to leave, I wished Dennis a good night in case, and he returned the sentiment. {Smile}

After dinner I talked with my relief nurse. Then I got back onto my computer, reading a few articles on the web before I wrote up Sunday's daily update. Next, I began talking with Nox on Discord, the chat server. It was a while before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Then I checked on my friends in the game. Next, I went back to working with the in-game auction house, storage and crafting until Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a few missions of his. He'd gotten behind, doing others' missions all the time. I know that feeling well. Dragons said hi, and joined us after a couple of missions. The three of us did a couple more missions, one of Dennis's, and one of Dragons'. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, and notes in this. I went back and forth between them until I was done with the notes. I ended the day with the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}
