Daily Update, March 25, 2025

 Tuesday was a pretty quiet day. After breakfast, I ran errands with my relief nurse. but that was the main thing of note. {Smile}

After dinner, I did my salsa dancing warmup for exercise. It is fun to dance. {SMILE}

When I got home from doing errands, I hopped into my computer to browse the web before lunch. After lunch, I browsed the web some more and read web comics. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming a little earlier, but not much. I started with paperwork, then teamed up with Kitten. Pierogies joined us almost immediately. Dennis joined us slightly later. The four of us did several missions. During one said hi to Jenny's player, and we talked. I learned that the teen supergroup wasn't meeting due to us being the only members around. I think Pierogies left eventually, but Kitten, Dennis, and I played right up to my dinnertime. Dennis and I said goodnight. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and read web comics before I exercised. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did a little paperwork and talked with Jenny's player briefly. I talked with Nox later on the chat server. I teamed up with Kitten. We talked and did some missions until they went quiet, then disappeared. Then I said hi to Dr. Faustus. I joined him for the last few missions of one of my favorite midlevel story arcs since his character was working on it. Then we said goodnight. Next, I said hi to one of the new folks I met yesterday. We teamed up and I helped him with a few missions. We talked in spurts, and longer at the end. Then I made notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 24, 2025

On Monday I texted with The Fire Ant Guy and my main nurse in the morning. We are all ready for The Fire Ant Guy to come Wednesday morning. {Smile

After breakfast, I began to make phone calls. I called Safeway's Pharmacy then my doctor's office about refilling some medications Yes, this goes best if I call both. Somehow just one doesn't work as well. {Smile}

Then I called my financial adviser. I passed on contact information for nursing company, which wants to discuss my future care. My financial adviser is willing. We'll handle it long distance, since my financial adviser is on a different island. Then I called the nursing company and let them know I'd started things. Later, the nursing company and I had another phone call about this, when they had more time to talk. {Smile}

After dinner, I did my upper body exercises with my relief nurse monitoring me. I started with my arm resistance exercises, then went on to my standing arm weight training exercises, one of my sitting arm weight training exercises, my head exercises, two more sitting arm weight training exercises, my arm swinging exercises, and my last sitting arm weight training exercise. by the end, I was tired, so I think that is a good workout. {Smile|

After most of those phone calls, and before lunch, I went out for a couple of errands with my relief nurse. When we got home, I had lunch. I started the first sequel to the non-fiction book about comics over either lunch or breakfast. After lunch, I browsed on the web and read web comics. Then I did a fair bit of thinking while playing Cross Stitch World. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I didn't do as much paperwork as usual because I got in not long before the later short, large-group event, which I joined and ran. Next, I teamed up with Dennis and Pierogies for several moderately high-level mission of Dennis's. Kitten and a new friend of theirs joined us. We played until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web before exercising. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I joined Kitten in someone else's farm with their new friend and some others. Kitten went asleep in that farm. Also, Phonso said hi, but wasn't interested in joining the farm. The rest of the farm broke up, except Kitten's new friend stayed. We established long-term connections. I also began talking with Nox and Haiden on the chat server. Then Phonso picked a taskforce to join, and I joined with him. So did the new friend, but she left when she started having trouble with her computer. Phonso and I finished the taskforce, and he tried to recruit another taskforce. Only one from the first taskforce stayed. One other joined but left early when tehy got tired. We managed to finish anyway, though the ending would have been easier with more than three. Then Phonso left, and I switched characters so the other team member and I could run a few individual missions that my second-best badge collector needs for a badge. We talked afterwards and established long-term connections. Then he left, and I did some paperwork. I also chatted with the new friend who left earlier when she came back. I also made notes in this and played a little Cross Stitch World before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 23, 2025

On Sunday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We settled in at the end of the announcements. That included putting the jar of nuts on the table for afterwards. Yes, I finally remembered to take them. I sat with my main nurse during the service. Afterwards, at lunch, I sat with my main nurse and a few other parishioners. After lunch, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

A while after dinner, I did the walking exercises except for the ones where I lift my knees high, because my legs need at least a partial rest day after those and just didn't want to be committed to one. {Smile}

After we got back from church, I began writing up Saturday's daily update. I also browsed the web and played Cross Stitch World before I finished writing up Saturday's daily update. Then I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I said hi to Ulty and Jenny's player. Finding them busy, I played by myself on a high-level character. Then I caught the later long, large-group event. Afterwards, I did more paperwork. Next, I teamed up with Dennis for one mission before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World. Then I read web comics. Next, I exercised. After that, I made notes and wrote in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I talked with Ulty a bit, and Jenny's player a lot over the course of the evening. I also tried to talk with Nox on the chat server, but we mostly missed each other. Most of the evening, I collected badges, first on my fifth-best badge collector, then on my sixth-best badge collector. Then I made more notes in this and browsed the web. Back in City of Heroes, Homecoming, I talked with Sonarr__ the friend I mentioned who streams at http://twitch.tv/Sonarr__ They were on a team run by an acquaintance of mine who streams on Twitch as Mollymauk76. I finished making notes in this before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 22, 2025

Saturday, in the middle of the morning, my main nurse and I joined his family for a drive across the island to shop in Costco. I was tired and hungry when I got there, but once I got lunch into me, I felt much more myself. We had lunch on their lanai, where they have takeout available. My parents and I may have gone once years ago, but it had been so long, it might as well have been my first time. We drove back afterwards to find the housekeeper over half done. {Smile}

I got a fair bit of walking at Costco; that should be plenty of exercise for the day after physical therapy. {Smile}

Between breakfast and our trip to Costco, I played Cross Stitch World. I also played CSW and read the non-fiction comic on comics on the drive over and the drive back. When we got home, I wrote up Friday's daily update with pauses to read web comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. Next, I joined the late night short, large-group event. After I'd joined, I talked with Dennis and Pierogies, who'd invited me to join them, but I'd missed their invitation, /after that event, we said goodnight. They went to their beds, and I went to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and began writing and making notes in this. Then I did a little web browsing before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and chatted with Ulty and Jenny's Player. I also began talking to Nox on the chat server. Then I played by myself on a high-level character until I collected what I wanted on her. Next, I did the paperwork that play produced. Then Phonso invited me to a trial. He'd come in later, and only needed two, so stopped after the second. I did both with him, then I did more paperwork. Then I browsed the web a bit before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming to do an individual mission on a high-level character before I finished notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 21, 2025

On Friday, my main nurse took me to physical therapy, where I learned that they will be discharging me in a week. I guess I've gotten enough better, my insurance doesn't consider more to be "rehabilitative." My insurance only covers "rehabilitative" therapy. Beyond that I had a good session, with lots of exercise, along with discussing some recent problems that my therapist tried to help me solve. Then my main nurse came and took me home. {Smile}

I got quite a bit of exercise done at physical therapy. I doubt I had enough energy to do much more. Yes, they wore me out. That's their job, after all. {Smile}

After we got home, I had lunch. Then I browsed the web and read web comics. Next, I wrote up Thursday's daily update before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then began playing by myself on a high-level hero. Dr. Faustus said hi earlier than usual on Fridays. The villain supergroup was already starting. I switched to my villain in the supergroup, and we did the first story arc in the next zone after the one we finished last week. Then the meeting broke up, and I did paperwork and played by myself until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I began making notes and writing in this, with time-out to read a non-fiction comic book I've mostly been reading over meals. Yes, a comic book can be non-fiction. Like most non-fiction comic books I've seen, this one is about comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Then I played by myself while I chatted with Ulty, Jenny's Player, and one of my new friends. After that I did some paperwork. I also began talking with Nox on the chat server. Phonso said hi, and invited me to do three trials. we ran them all. Nox and I said goodnight before we were done with the trials. Dragons joined the last trial at the last minute. After the team broke up after the last trial, Dragons and I got low-level characters. We ran a few missions, then two popular low-level story arcs. A couple of friends of Dragons joined during the story arcs. Then they advertised for a full team for the last mission of the second story arc, which is particularly popular. Phonso joined us, and we chatted a little. The group broke up after the second story arc. I did some paperwork and made notes in this with minimal web browsing before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 20, 2025

On Thursday, well, actually, just before bed the night before, I found a note from my counselor. She had to leave on a trip early, so we couldn't have the counselling we'd scheduled for Thursday. We will resume after she returns. {Smile}

It turned out this was good, since the nursing company secretary dropped by after breakfast, and visited for much of the morning. This included when I would have been in my counselling appointment, so not having it left me free for her visit. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse and I went out for errands, including a stop by the bank and going to the mall. I walked across the mall to visit the comic shop. I picked out a collection of an older hero's comics Then we walked back across the mall to the car. {Smile}

Walking across Price Kuhio Plaza and back felt like enough exercise for one day. My nurse thought it was, too. {Smile}

After the nursing company secretary visited, I began writing up Wednesday's daily update. I paused in my writing for lunch with web browsing, then finished writing up Wednesday's daily update. After that, we ran the errands. When we got back, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I said hi to Jenny's player, Ulty, and Kitten. I joined Jenny's player, Ulty, and some of their friends for a story arc, and got them to invite Kitten in too. After a couple of missions, Dennis said hi. We talked, but the way we'd started the story arc didn't let us add him after it had started. He and I were both disappointed, but that's just the way the game works. The story arc finished just before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I cleaned myself up with my main nurse's help. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I teamed up with Kitten, who was helping a giant monster team. Phonso said hi while we were getting ready to fight one of the giant monsters. We finished the next giant monster. Then Kitten went off to look for another that someone had suggested, but the team chose a different one. I got Kitten to join Phonso, and switched characters to join, myself. We ran a set of three trials, after which the team mostly broke up Kitten, myself, and one of the new friends I helped with game cash recently stayed together. Kitten and I helped the new friend with the last two missions of a story arc. Then I suggested the new friend do another story arc. This is when Kitten went quiet and then disappeared. They probably fell asleep again. The new friend and I talked lots, including about the end game. Then we ran a couple of individual missions with good end game rewards. I began making notes and writing in this. The friend and I established long-term connections before saying goodnight. Then I finished making notes in this and read a couple of web comics before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 19, 2025

On Wednesday, the exterminators who treated the house for roaches came back for a second treatment. I told him I'm still seeing at least one half-sized roach by my computer.  I mainly watch there, so can't say they weren't elsewhere. He treated that part particularly carefully. He treated the rest too. {Smile}

Then, midafternoon, I got a phone call from a friend. We chatted for a while. It was nice to hear from him. {Smile}

A while after dinner, I did my ten walking exercises that don't absolutely require a rest the next day. My main nurse monitored me while I did them. {Smile}

After breakfast, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web. Then I began writing Tuesday's daily update before lunch. I played Cros Stitch World during lunch because it's easier to use a mouse than type while eating. Then I wrote the rest of Tuesday's daily update, with breaks for web comics. After that, I got the phone call from my friend. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I got together with Pierogies, Kitten, and a new friend Pierogies introduced from his new supergroup. We talked, then did a couple of my missions. Then Pierogies and the new friend left, but the new friend stayed long enough to establish long-term connections despite that being greatly slowed on my end. After they left, I got sidetracked by paperwork. When I tried to get back to playing the game, Kitten didn't respond. So, I talked with Nox on the chat server a little and checked with Ulty about something for Nox. I went to dinner right when called. {Smile}

After dinner, I made notes in this and played Cross Stitch World. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I said hi to Ulty and Jenny's Player, and learned they were starting a farm. I joined them and exercised while they farmed. After I was done, I went back to sort of farming with them and definitely visiting with them. I also made some notes in this and talked a little with Nox on the chat server, but Nox soon went to bed. When the farm broke up, I did some paperwork. Then I began talking with Phonso and making more notes in this. I joined Phonso for a set of three trials. Another friend joined us, and some of the others who joined us are acquaintances because they join these often. We ran the trials. Then I talked with one player whose character hit the maximum level during the last trial. I gave them some spare cash to help them develop their character. Then I did some paperwork. I chatted briefly with Kitten in City of Heroes: Homecoming. I also made notes in this and did some web browsing before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 18, 2025

 On Tuesday, after breakfast, my relief nurse took me to the monthly meeting. Despite neither of us being quite certain where the park it was at is, we got there without a misturn. I went in straight away, but my relief nurse said he had a phone call and would join us later. The meeting was really nice, though my relief nurse barely came to drop off pamphlets. I enjoyed talking with everyone, and the food was good, though it had little protein. Afterwards, my relief nurse said between the phone call being really long, and a couple of errands, he just didn't have time to join us, but he will in the future. After the meeting, we went home. {Smile}

A while after dinner, I did my arm resistance exercises, three of my arm weight training exercises, my arm swinging exercises, and my other three arm weight training exercises while my relief nurse monitored me. {Smile}

After I got home, I had half a lunch, since the spread at the meeting was low enough on protein that I really needed more. Then I browsed the web and read web comics. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I checked with Ulty, and joined the meeting of the adolescent supergroup, where folks were roleplaying. In-character, I suggested doing some of my stuff Since it seemed to be another light week. I didn't think it was the best choice for doing something that Ulty had worked hard on. We did the first of two official story arcs. I made third story arc to follow them myself. Only one got done that day; we were too close to dinner to do another; we'd just have to stop in the middle. So, we just roleplayed until I left for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed on the web, then exercised with the nurse monitoring it. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found that the adolescent supergroup meeting was still going on, so I joined them. We roleplayed together. They left one by one, heading out as it got late for them. After that, I joined Phonso for a trial on my sixth best badge collector. I started making notes and writing in this while waiting to start. It collected slowly, then mostly fell apart. We were back to three members, but Phonso recruited more. Then we ran the full set of three trials, though each had a smaller team between some reaching bedtime and others not having a character high enough level for the next trial. After the third trial, we said goodnight. Then I did some paperwork, both on my sixth-best badge collector, and on the member of the adolescent supergroup, who's moderately low-level but getting higher. Next, I began to play by myself on a low-level character. I paused to make more notes in this, before doing one more mission on the low-level character. Then I finished making notes in this, with a break for some more web browsing. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 17, 2025

On Monday, after breakfast, my relief nurse and I went around town to do several errands. The most notable one for me was getting a Kupuna Card at the Office of Aging, since you only have to be 55 to get one, and I'm 56. I also asked into help with signing up to disability with the federal government. The relief nurse volunteered that he'd hired a lawyer for that, but the fellow at the Office of Aging suggested contacting Social Security and seeing if they can help me. I'll consider both, but I think Social Security sounds more promising. {Smile}

I didn't get any exercise done. By the time I thought to, my relief nurse had gone to bed, so he couldn't monitor it. My main nurse doesn't really count unmonitored exercise, so I just didn't bother. {Smile}

After the errands I had lunch. Then after lunch I browsed the web and wrote up Sunday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I talked with Pierogies, and learned he was in a supergroup meeting that he was really enjoying. I'm so glad he found a group he clicks with. I joined two high-level taskforces on my third best badge collector, trying for that hard-to-get badge I've mentioned. I didn't get it this time, either. After that, with encouragement form pierogies, I joined the later long, large-group event. Pierogies joined partway through, after his meeting was over. After that event, Pierogies, Dennis and I teamed up on middle-leveled villains for two or three missions. The last ran into dinner, but I managed to finish the mission. Then I dashed off with a hasty goodbye. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed the web and read web comics. Then I checked on main nurse, thinking I might exercise, but he was already asleep. So, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I chatted with Ulty and Jenny's player and joined them in chatting out-of-character in a role-playing venue until Jenny's player left for bed. Ulty apologetically left to join a friend she'd promised to join earlier. I did more paperwork until Mollymauk, a streamer on Twitch, invited me to a player-made mission. Then Phonso invited me to the first of the set of three trials I did the day before. I finished the mission with Mollymauk, and joined Phonso on a full team ready to start. We ran that trial and the next two, too. Then we said goodnight, and Phonso promised a similar but different set of trials the next day. I did paperwork next, then browsed on the web, including looking into the government's Disability. I'm really not so sure I'll qualify for that, but I know I won't if I don't try. I also did more paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming, and dashed off notes in this, with no time for any real writing before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 16, 2025

On Sunday, after breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We got there during the announcements. I sat with my main nurse, since Auntie Barbara is busy, and Michelle doesn't come without her, not being Christian. Afterwards, I had lunch on the church's lanai. I sat with my main nurse and several other parishioners. It was a good feed, though I forgot the nuts again. After lunch, my main nurse brought me home. {Smile}

Rather late in the evening, I did my standing leg exercises and my four high knees walking exercises. Those are the lower body exercises that need a break day after them to recuperate. {Smile}

At home, I wrote up Saturday's daily update. Then my main nurse helped me clean myself up. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I got together with Dr. Faustus just as Pierogies said hi. So, he joined us, too. The three of us ran that story arc that Dr. Faustus and I had so much trouble with a couple of nights ago, the one my villain in the supergroup wanted to do. Now that we could get help if it gave trouble, it worked without issue. After that story arc, I paused for Kitten to join us, since the way we were doing this doesn't allow adding after we've started a story arc. The four of us ran the story arc that follows, the last of eight story arcs that together tell the story of a zone, the only zone to have so many story arcs telling a single story. After the second story arc, Dennis joined us just before Dr. Faustus and Pierogies left, both tired from doing two story arcs in a row, which took most of three hours. Kitten, Dennis, and I ran a mission that starts the transition to another zone, which I could do in the normal fashion that allows me to add folks after we've begun, not that I had occasion to this time. This mission was long, and ran into dinner, but we finished. Then I said goodnight-in-case and rushed off to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I rushed back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. Dennis was already gone, but Kitten was still around. We teamed up and ran the second and last mission of the transition to a new zone. My villain will continue to do stuff at her level now. Then I switched to a moderately high-level hero, and Kitten and I did a few of her missions before Kitten admitted they were tired enough, they'd probably fall asleep soon. So, we said goodnight, and I did my exercises. Then I came back to some paperwork. I also said goodnight to Nox without really talking. After the paperwork, I joined a trial. I ran it and two sequels to it, which the leader did all in a row. Divi was in at least part of it, so we talked briefly. After the third trial, I did paperwork on a few characters. Then I started to do an individual mission by myself. I broke to make notes and write in this, then went back to finish the individual mission. I followed that with some paperwork and a little shopping on Amazon before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}
