Daily Update, October 30, 2026

The night before Friday, I got to bed several minutes after 2 am. I guess I shoudlnt' be too surrpsied at moving slowly after such a busy day. {smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my Ballroom Dance: Tango class. Not as many came, though the new gal I first met last week and saw again Wednesday was there. We all blamed the weather. It had been quite rainy since the day before and wasn't looking to let up soon. Also, there was nothing for this to be the drier alternative to; that can boost attendance surprisingly. I have the early beginner moves and the later moves that are easy to shadow, but I'm still working on the moves that are easier when a follow is led by the lead. Still, I got to practice with a guy and the instructor's assistant a bit. More than usual, though, I danced by myself. My usual partners among the students were all missing. After class, my main nurse took me home. I read _The Savior's Book Cafe Story in Another World 1_ on the way down and the way back. It's enough thicker but shorter and narrower than _Mana Legends: Kamehameha 1_ that I felt more confident it wouldn't get damaged on the way. {Smile}

A while after lunch, the secretary from Helping hands Hale, the nursing company which takes care of me came by for the monthly check. We visited for a short while when I handed it over to her, which is nice. {Smile}

I had breakfast with my main nurse and the TV. Then I went to my class. After I got back home, I went onto my computer. I mainly made web comics and browsed on Amazon, with a break when the nursing company's secretary visited. Next, I wrote a little of Thursday's daily update before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I went to the villain supergroup meeting on melee-ranged Olga. I found Seb's Marius, but he was distracted, so I checked on my friends who play the game. I did a little roleplaying with Marius, and Anya and the leader when they showed up. The four of us ran the Halloween-themed trial for exactly four people, since we had exactly the right number, and it will be over for another year early next week. Dr. Faustus arrived near the end of the trial. We went back to the base for visiting and light roleplaying including Dr. Faustus after the trial. The meeting eventually broke up, and I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on melee-ranged Olga. After that, I crafted for badges on Emmy Overstreet. Then I broke to browse on Amazon, finding but not yet getting some books I was interested in, despite being ebooks, which I don't usually like. Well, some are also audiobooks, but with my hearing loss, that's even worse. Next, I broke for dinner. I ate with my main nurse, the TV, forward Day by Day and _Mana Legends: Kamehameha 1_.

After dinner, I went back to my computer. I read web comics and tried the most interesting story that was only available as an ebook. I enjoyed it so much that at the end of the free sample, I considered buying it despite it being an ebook. When I looked into it, I realized I could use points to buy it and did so. I looked into those points later, and those points are strictly for buying ebooks with. There's no other way to use them, so using them for this feels better. I read a fair bit more of it. I also finished writing up Thursday's daily update. Then I answered Nox on Discord, the chat server, before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I did one timed mission which stopped a level earlier than anything else any contact had on Yenna Grajewo. I turned on XP for her and did a couple of hunts. She didn't gain a love, but she's getting closer. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on Yenna Grajewo. After that, I read a little more _Mana Legends: Kamehameha 1_ before I wrote in this, with a break to check and play Cross Stitch World. I switched to making notes in this. I ended my day with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
