The night before Saturday, I got to bed barely before 2am. I do think it was before 2 am, if not by much, so that should count as meeting my first goal. {Smile}
A while after lunch, my main nurse and I went out. Our first stop was at the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens, where I got a chocolate fudge popsicle. i ate that on the way to Prince Kuhio Plaza, where we walked all around the shopping center. it was slow going at times, because they had a special event with extra vendors at tables in the aisles. I think it was largely collectible=themed, though I also spotted some specially cooked dishes. After that, my main nurse and I went back home. I read the manga, _The Last Elf 1_, and started _the last Elf 2 on the way down and the way back. {Smile}
Over breakfast I read Forward Day by Day, and _The Last Elf 1_. I'd started it at dinner the night before but forgot that when I wrote up Friday's daily update. Then I settled onto my computer. I read articles and wrote up Friday's daily update right lunch. Then I switched to reading comics, relieved to find something easier to do while eating. I picked out a new comic and started reading it, which kept me reading until we went out a bit later than we meant to. We still got a popsicle in a favorite flavor, but they were lacking in selection compared to usual. After I got back, I went back onto my computer, and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked the auction house on Ana, my third-best badge collector. I also checked on my friends who play the game. I saw the later long, large group event being advertised. I checked with Dr Faustus, who was just leaving, and Veronice, who was busy. So, I joined the later long, large-group event on Valentina, my newest endgame character, though she isn't quite new to it anymore. I ran the event. Next, I worked on the auction house, storage and crafting that produce. After that, I prepared to work on badges on Ana and stumbled across one. I had to fiddle around before her badge record updated properly, but I did, then updated my record of her badges to reflect the change properly. Then I broke to eat dinner with my main nurse. I read more _The Last Elf 2_ while eating. {Smile}
After dinner, I checked Discord and answered Nox there. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I prepared to work on badges on Ana when a distant friend invited me to a taskforce. I joined it on Ana, since I was already on her. My friend asked for a volunteer to run it because she was minimum level for the taskforce, and we'd be stuck at her level if she led. I volunteered, since Ana is plenty high enough to get max level for that task force. While we ran it, I chatted with Jenny's Player in the game, and Nox on Discord part of the time, while still trying to keep up. After the taskforce, the group broke up. I worked on Ana's in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Just as I was winding down, Rav said hi. They wanted to test a character. At first, it was too low to be challenging. When I raised the difficulty, I raised it too much, but we managed to finish the mission. Rav said they'd switch characters but didn't come back. About the time I started wondering what to do next, Dr. Faustus said hi, and suggested we team with me on Oleva and them on one of her new supergroup mates. I switched to Oleva, and we started talking in-character so our characters could get to know each other. We also talked out-of-character, because we usually do. We a few missions, a couple of theirs and a few of mine. Then we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, first on Oleva, then on Ana. Next, I checked Cross Stitch World and a played it a little. I came back to my computer and shut down several windows. That really helps me focus when I'm writing in this late at night. After that, I wrote in this. I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming at one point. Eventually, I switched to making notes in this. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
Hi. It's Grace who used to comment on Tia Nevitt's blog as Chicory. I'm not active on social media anymore, but I thought about you, and I want to apologize for dropping out of your life the way I did. Partly, I was embarrassed that I had gotten too gung-ho about politics, and mostly it was that I really needed to step away from social media, but I disappeared out of your life right when you needed a friend, and for that I want to apologize.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grace. You were a good friend. I remember you fondly. I did miss you. However, I figured life moved on, and it does at time. How are you doing now? {Smile}
DeleteI'm doing alright at the moment.ife has been very full. Some good, some less good things. I am an aunt now, which is amazing and wonderful. Several people in my family have had some serious health issues, which has been less wonderful. God has been very faithful though.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on becoming an aunt! I'm glad you're enjoying that. I'm sorry to hear about the health issues. i know all too well how that can go, both as the person with poor health, and as a close relative. My parents and I all took our turn at poor health. *rueful but sympathetic look*
