Daily Update, April 21, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed a bit before 2 am. At least I got a rest as long as I wanted when I got up at 9am Tuesday morning. I felt reasonably well-rested through the day. What blood sugar trouble I had was rarely tiredness or sleepiness, which tends to make me wonder if it's really blood sugar, or insufficient sleep. {Smile}

After breakfast, I realized I had the monthly meeting, but by the time my substitute relief nurse and I finished getting ready and left the house I'd barely have time to say hi before I left for my creative writing class. So instead, I asked my nurser to drop me off early at Kamana Senior Center for my creative writing class. I got there as our teacher and other students began to arrive, which gave me time to talk to my teacher about how I really don't want to abandon developing original characters by switching to memoirs. Turns out that she's concerned with how little I seem to write. I rarely do more than my daily updates, and I don't show her my daily updates, since they're just journalling. She'd be happy to see another story as long as it actually moves. I'll try that. Class went well. I even got more into the freewriting, as it gave me insight into some characters that I created a while back. {Smile}

After class, my substitute relief nurse took me home. On the way, I got a call from my cousin Kim in Georgia. We talked about family and personal news. She is interested in seeing a story I'm thinking about working on. We finished the phone call not long after I got home. Then I talked a while with my housekeeper, who had already started working. The house is definitely better for her attentions. She's also interested in my story. {Smile}

I read Forward Day by Day and a bit of a novel over breakfast. Then, after the phone call with Kim and talk with my housekeeper, I got onto my computer. I watched videos and read comics to settle in. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and went to the teen supergroup meeting distinctly early. I passed our leader int eh lobby, and went to the lounge, where I found Nyxy's character and another character, so I started to roleplay with them. Others arrived, including a character of Jenny's Player, and the fellow who came when it was only him and me, though our leader stayed in the lobby. Our roleplaying became quite involved when someone came in and stated talking with our leader. We learned that one of our characters has a nemesis. After that, we ran a particularly quick taskforce. Most left after the taskforce, but Nyxy, the gal with the nemesis, and I stayed. At least I stayed until I got called for dinner. {Smile}

I read part of a novel over dinner. After dinner, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I went back to Aneira. I found a note from Dennis, and we started talking. I also found Nyxy and the other player were there, but they left soon after. So, I switched to Seameownt, the character Kitten designed and joined Dennis. who ran the mission we didn't finish the other night We got Seameownt a badge, then said goodnight. I switched to melee-ranged Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member, and hunted until I got a badge. Then I switched back to Seameownt for a hunt. Next, I stopped to write a little in this and make a lot of notes in here. I did take a few breaks to check characters on Homecoming. I did some in-game auction house and storage on Seameownt, and storage on Aneira and Olga. The rest could wait. I also checked Cross Stitch World. I texted my housekeeper and Kim for their emails for the stories. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
