Daily Update, March 17, 2026

The night before Tuesday, as I mentioned in the update, I got into a conversation that kept me going and engaged enough, I didn't get into bed until around 2:45 am. Maybe I should be relieved it wasn't 3 am, but mostly I'm determined to not let it get this late again. I drowsed in the car on our trip out and noticed less tiredness later. There was still a fair bit, though that did seem to respond to blood sugar treatment, for the most part. {Smile}

At breakfast time, I planned a morning nap. That changed when my phone made the noise for the calendar. I checked and found out it was the day of the monthly picnic. I checked email but didn't find announcement (not even later, despite the leader swearing she sent one). I called the leader and left a message on her answering machine. She soon called me back and told me we were meeting in the kitchen at the Hawai'i County Office of Aging. {Smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me down to the Office of Aging. We arrived late, as I knew we would. they start at 10, and it's hard enough to do that for church. A second time in a week doesn't happen. Talking over food was in full swing. My nurse came in and met folks, then left for errands she had. We talked about what I've been doing, and I learned what some of the others have been doing, too. When they were done, I texted my substitute relief nurse, then continued to visit with the leader until my nurse came and picked me up to take me home. {Smile}

Back at home, I got onto my computer. I browsed articles and videos, then wrote up some of Monday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes Homecoming, thinking to prepare for the teen supergroup meeting. However, I immediately found a note from Nyxy explaining that the guy who's been meeting me when others don't come couldn't make it. and no one else seemed likely either, so this weeks' meeting was called off. I browsed more videos and read some comics. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, then stepped away briefly. I came back to learn that Pierogies had come on and said hi. I got their attention and learned that they were in the later long, large-group event. I joined the group, and we ran it together. I got two badges I've been working on for a while on that character. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Next, Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a mission. Then Pierogies joined us and we did another couple of missions. Then we all broke, them heading to bed, and me to dinner with Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed comics and finished writing up Monday's daily update. I finished late enough that I got note on Discord from Nox asking if I'd be done soon. Fortunately, at point I was getting ready to share it. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and said hi to Dr. Faustus. We teamed up with me on the newer, ranged Olga, and they helped me get a badge that improves her stamina, so she tires less easily. While we were finishing, the new gal came on and spoke to the supergroup. She joined us, and we started running bank heists, getting loot and badges that will help her. Next, Dragons said hi and joined us. Then Dragons asked for us to invite Star, a friend of theirs who I'm acquainted with, too. We continued until the new gal and Dr. Faustus had to leave. I left, too, as Dragons and Star joined another friend of theirs. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on a few characters. Then I did a little writing in this before making a fair bit of notes to cover the rest. I did break for comics and videos a few times. I finished my evening with prayers, including the Lord's Prayer and the Daughters of the King's motto, which can be a prayer, too. {Smile}
