Daily Update, December 4, 2025

On Thursday I didn't really touch base with my financial adviser. They didn't call, and the closest I got was leaving a message on their answering machine. This tells me they're very busy, along with how many meetings mine has been in when I've called, and long meetings at that. {smile}

I had my video counselling right after breakfast. I thought it was a good session. We discussed my future, and some necessary transitions I'll have to make. {smile}

At the end, I got a phone call from the leader of the monthly meeting asking if I was coming to the lunch today in half an hour at Don's Grill, a local family-style restaurant I said yes, and told my main nurse. He took me down and promised to come when I called to say I was done. I sat at a table where several other gals were already sitting. I had a good time talking with them. Shannon and I promised to talk more next time, since she was at the other table. I had the seafood platter because then I didn't have to choose between shrimp, calamari, and mahimahi. The two gals I was closest to chose the mixed plate at my suggestion, since it also had three dishes, saving them from having to choose only one. Then came dessert, where I chose apple pie. At the end, we each chose an envelope with a gift card or ticket or something. Mine had a ticket to 'Imiloa Astronomy Center, a local astronomy museum. I called my main nurse afterwards, and he came and took me home. {Smile}

When I got home, I got onto my computer. I started with reading articles on the web and playing a little Cross Stitch World. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update, getting it done well before dinner. Next, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked several characters in for a winter event badge, then checked on my friends who play the game. I noticed that several folks from Paragon Chat were on, all on a team with the same number of members, The team was a little larger than I could account for, but it wasn't full. I switched to the character they know best, and said hi to Mysty, who usually organizes these things. I got invited to join them pretty quickly. We began chatting as we waited for one more to arrive. I told them about a character one of them inspired. Then I got it to show him when he left to make a costume that he had an idea for. I waited for him to break from his costuming so he could see my character. The last fellow showed up while we were waiting. One of the others came to see my costume. It took us a few tires to actually meet up. We somehow kept being on the opposite side of a particular door, but we eventually got together. Then I showed it to a couple others before I switched back to the character they know. {Smile}

We started the new taskforce at the mildest "Advanced Difficulty," which is required for some badges. I ate dinner at the computer so I could continue to participate. My main nurse came in towards the end, asking me to come clean myself up. I explained that I was committed to the game such that I couldn't quit early without standing everyone else up, wrecking a couple of hours of work for me, and possibly that much for everyone else, too. That is not socially acceptable. After we finished, I did clean myself up with his help only a little later. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming to work on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on several characters, including the one who'd run the taskforce. I also fixing her badge record, since she's my best badge collector, and she got another badge in the taskforce. After that, I made notes in this, taking breaks to read articles and comics on the web, and play a little Cross Stitch World. I finished my evening by saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}
