Happy May Day! That is if you celebrate it. if not, I hope you had a nice one anyway. Yes, I guess it's one day late, but this is the post where i tell what I did on May Day, so this is when I remember it. {Smile}
The night before, I heard a thump while I was going to bed. A cursory look around didn't reveal what had caused the thump, I left further investigation for the morning. The next morning, i couldn't find my phone where I've been leaving it since my hearing aid charger started taking up the phone's old place. I realized it falling must have been the thump; it was a reasonable loudness and all. I found my phone behind my bed and tried a fair while to get it out. Nothing I tried quite managed to get it, so I got our nurse. I tried to suggest something that needed more hands than I could do by myself, but he shooed me off, saying he'd get it. I don't know what he did, but he got it out in half the time I spent trying, maybe less. I thanked him lavishly. {Chuckle, Smile}A while after breakfast, I contacted Uber. A fellow came and took me to physical therapy. That went pretty well. I even worked on some tricky salsa dancing moves with the harness, so if I slipped, that would catch me. Afterwards, I contacted Uber again, and a gal took me home She did not believe me when I tried to warn her about the after-school traffic and how to avoid it. Everyone knows schools let out a little after one on Wednesdays (they did before they closed for Covid 19), not a little after noon (except they have since they reopened during the pandemic). {wry smile}
I thought about my story, but I didn't actually write more. In the afternoon I was tired, and when I tried later, I realized I needed to think the next part through better. {Smile}
I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. I got there a little earlier today. Mom was awake and looking around. She looked at the pictures, too, mostly without too much prompting. I began my reading with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I read some cards from her cousin's granddaughter and her cousin. Next, I read the last couple of pages from _Music stars 1940-1960 Memory Lane_. Then I read "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" from _Five Minute Fairy Tales_. I finished with the 1st of May's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Lucky Lilies." {Smile}
My exercise was my physical therapy today. I was quite drained enough afterwards to feel like I'd earned a day off. {smile}
I read an article or two between breakfast and calling Uber to go to physical therapy. I'm so glad the nurse got the phone out of where it fell so I could. I played a little Cross Stitch World waiting for Uber to take me over to physical therapy and read a little of a web novel waiting for Uber to take me home. Then I wrote up Tuesday's daily update over and after lunch. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I found Div, who pointed out I was later than the day before. Well, yes, physical therapy delayed my daily update, which delayed getting in. Anyway, I teamed up with Div, Kitten, and TheCyberChill. The difficulty was high for TheCyberChill, who left after one mission. Pierogies joined us and asked for the difficulty higher; all who were left really could. I was struggling a little, but in a good way. Div left late for them. Then I talked a little with Dennis, who hoped to team up after my dinner. Pierogies left slightly earlier than I usually read to Mom I went and did that fairly soon, after realizing it was really too tight to clean myself up just then. {Smile}
After dinner, I talked with TheCyberChill. They wanted to do the next story after the ones last night in a different game while I watched, but I admitted I really wanted to play City of Heroes: Homecoming. They admitted they were tired, and suggested doing it soon, like maybe a couple of days. So, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I found Dennis with Kitten, and a friend of theirs joined us soon. Kitten went quiet, and timed out, like they'd gone to sleep. Dennis, the other one and I did a few missions. I also talked to Nox on the chat server. Then the other one left, and so did Dennis. I started working on a lot of paperwork that's piled up. I also finally cleaned myself up. I also played some Cross Stitch World and read a few more comics before writing a little more of this and taking notes to write from the next day. {Smile}
