My day started with physical therapy, so I called Uber. They found a driver, and then the driver changed, as it does infrequently. My second driver Alan. We were so happy to see each other; it had been weeks! We chatted the whole way over, catching up. {SMILE}
I had physical therapy when the patient before me was through. It went pretty well. I got in a couple of passes with the salsa dancing and worked in the not-quite-hops. It's tricky, but I'm getting them into steps which move a little, not just the ones in place. i think I ought to be able to get them into tapping steps eventually, too, but I'm not ready for that yet. {Smile}
I took Uber back home afterwards and got a normally chatty driver.
Our housekeeper was busy at work when I got back. Our house is definitely cleaner for her attentions. {Smile}
Today, I had breakfast and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. I read scripture and thoughts about it first, and more from her niece's long family Christmas letter from last Christmas after that. Then I showed her pictures in _The 'Flower Garden" Vintage Fine Art Picture Book_. She responded to it more again today, so I didn't try a second book. Again, I described each picture a little, since there were no words to read. Then I read "Small-Scale Tanzanian Miner Gets Rich Overnight, Then Builds School and Health Clinic," from _100 Uplifting Short Stories for Seniors_. Then I read the June 10th story "The Greedy Pair," from _366 Stories for Bedtime: A Tale for Every Day of the Year_. Mom enjoyed both reading and pictures. {Smile}
No exercise beyond physical therapy today. {Smile}
I read comics over lunch. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started on paperwork and looked around but didn't really see anyone to join. I was wondering about joining the later short, large-group event, when Perogies came on. We chatted a bit, and teamed up on the slightly higher littles until it was time to read to Mom instead of the large group events.
After dinner, I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming particularly quickly. I was hoping that Kitten was ready, since they'd left a note during dinner. However, they weren't ready quite as quickly as I hoped, so I did some more paperwork, and maybe read a few more comics. Then Kitten did come in, and we teamed up, doing a lower-mid-level story arc. We were just finishing up when Phonso invited us to the strike force he started with earlier this week. When we joined, Owl Girl was on the team too. We ran it, and he offered to run it again. I missed talking to Nox, beyond saying goodnight. Owl Girl left for "owl business," but Kitten and I ran it again, Kitten on the same character, because they rarely play any other, and me on a different character, to get a particular reward that's only once every 18 hours per character. Then Phonso left to go eat, and the team broke up. Kitten and I meant to talk, but we've been mostly quiet. I have read more comics. {Smile}
