Today, I had physical therapy. I got started slightly later than I hoped to because of reading more articles than I meant to, but the car arrived more quickly than I expected. I had a nice chat with the driver on the way. I hope I didn't get there too late. There was only a short wait, and partly that was cancelling next Wednesday. My therapist's children's school is having their May Day program next Wednesday, so he's going to be there, not at therapy. (Hawai'i schools hold a pageant with the students performing different numbers on May Day - May first - or usually close to it. I think this is the first time I heard of one being as late as the 17th.) {Smile}
We had a good session. I mixed the half-circle taps with the double turns. He said it was the best yet and is really hopeful for me being able to do the half-circle taps at home soon. Then I did the regular fast turn to a piece I felt was a bit fast for them. He thinks I good enough to do those at home already. {Smile}
Then I checked on the nursing home's Activities section. The door was closed, but not locked, and I found one gal working in there. Seh remembered me, and asked how I was doing. i told her I was still living with Mom, and that I was doing outpatient physical therapy here now. Then I explained that I'd started getting picture books for dementia for Mom, and I'd gotten a duplicate. I took it out and showed her how it shows various performers and groups and lists a few of their hits. She loved it and said they'd definitely be using it in one-on-one visits. Then she put it in a cabinet with their supplies
I took Uber home and had another nice chat with the driver. He chose to go right through the school traffic. I think he was afraid of getting lost going another way. {Smile}
I had dinner with Mom and read to her before that. I started with scripture and thoughts about it, then read more from her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I started _1940's Fashion in pictures. Mom does enjoy the pictures of clothes She commented on more of them, and even said she liked some of them. Next, I read "Uber Workers Are Employees, and Need Holiday Pay, UK Court Decides," from _100 Uplifting Short Stories for Seniors_. Then I finished with the May 10th story from _366 Stories for Bedtime: A Tale for Every Day of the Year_. Mom enjoyed both pictures and stories. {Smile}
No exercise beyond my therapy. That was enough. I was panting after the salsa dance, especially the second one, where I went fast. {Smile}
I read comics over lunch. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming after lunch. I didn't find anyone on, so I did some paperwork, then joined a moderately large group that was working on particular badges. My best badge collector has them, and my second-best badge collector is still in the thing with my RWBY friend, so I joined it on my third best badge collector and got 4 of the six badges they were trying for. Then I joined the later short, large-group event. My RWBY friend joined it too. We joined the later long, large-group event after that. That took us to time to read to Mom. {Smile}
After dinner I read a few comics and hopped back onto City of Heroes: Homecoming. Again, I did some paperwork when I didn't see anyone on. Then Phonso came on, and invited me to a strike force, which I joined. My RWBY friend came on, and joined it, too. We chatted a little more, but mainly ran the task force together. Then my RWBY friend left for bed. Phonso ran another strike force, which I ran with him, too. Then Phonso left, and I did more paperwork, as well as looking at some more comics. {Smile}
