Daily Update, November 12, 2024

On Tuesday, after dinner, I got a phone call from Auntie Barbara We caught up with each other, and planned an celebratory lunch on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom seemed asleep when I went in, but did open one eye at one point when I was talking to her. I read in case she heard or sensed me by her anyway. She roused quickly enough for the nurse afterwards, I'd almost think she was listening with her eyes closed, but usually folks don't rest with their mouth open quite that way when they're awake. Anyway, I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I finished her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I skipped over _Childhood Memories Picture Book_ when she didn't open her eyes when I said there were pictures of children. Next, I read a couple of stories - or two parts of a longer story - in _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. They were different stories or parts of stories than the day before, since she was still mostly out of it. I finished with November 12th's story, "Going Sliding," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did two of my head exercises while playing City of Heroes this evening, and the other three right after that. Then I did my salsa dancing warmup set while doing the Kegel exercise variant my therapist recommended. I'm getting better at dancing while doing that. After a break, I did my less structured salsa dancing set for a total of around 20 1/4 minutes of salsa dancing.

Over breakfast, I browsed the web. then I took a short nap. After that, I played Vindictus right through lunch. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with a little paperwork, then joined the middle long, large-group event. After it was over, I found Pierogies as we were discussing getting together, Jenny's Player invited me to tougher version of a particular taskforce. Pierogies said he preferred to take a break, but I should go ahead. (Two taskforces and a strike force have tougher versions on City of Heroes; Homecoming.) I ran it with jenny's player, Ulty, and their friends, and a few strangers who joined us. At least I think they were strangers. I discovered and got a badge only available in the tougher version of this particular taskforce. Then Pierogies said hi near the end. We talked afterwards and teamed up for a hunt until I left to read to Mom.

After dinner, I wrote up Monday's update and played a little Cross Stitch World. Then I wrote and made notes in this before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started on paperwork. Then Pierogies said hi and asked me to come see his new costume. I admired it and we talked. Then he left, and I did surprisingly extensive paperwork, finding two bunches I didn't realize I still needed to do. I also began talking to Nox on chat server and made some notes in this until Dennis came in. We teamed up and ran some old missions of his. I switched characters at just the right time to get a badge on the one of my characters I wanted it on the most, since the one I was on already had it. Then I switched again for one more mission before we said goodnight. Then I did my exercise and the first set of dancing. After that, I talked with kitten on the chat server and added notes and wrote in this. Then I did more dancing. Next, I watched a video and checked the chat server. I finished the day with more writing and notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 11, 2024

On Monday, I got a text from The Fire Ant Guy. We arranged by text for him to come Wednesday and treat the property. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom seemed asleep when I went in, and didn't seem to wake, but I read in case she heard or sensed me by her anyway. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Then I tried to start _Childhood memories Picture Book_ but decided to restart it some day when she's opening her eyes for the pictures. After that I read a couple of stories - or two parts of a longer story - in _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 11th's story, "Carlo the Barber," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. then I did my head exercises after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming most of the evening. After a short break, I did my salsa dancing warmup, and after a longer break, I did my less structured salsa dancing, for twenty and a quarter minutes of salsa dancing between the two sets. I did it like the therapist suggested I do my exercises, with the new exercise done at the same time. That made it trickier, but I did the best I could.

Over breakfast and through most of the morning, I played Vindictus. Then I read comics before and over lunch. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies in the early long, large-group event. I joined it partway through. Afterwards, we got together and teamed up on lower-level characters. We ran quite a few missions. At first, we did his missions. Then we switched to mine when he ran low on new missions. Eventually he wanted a break before the later long, large-group event. We said goodnight, and I went to clean myself up before dinner. I got done and started reading to Mom at about the right time. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Sunday's daily update, with more and longer Cross Stitch World breaks than I quite intended. I also read comics before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming on the late side. I talked with Ulty, Jenny's Player, and Divi while playing by myself, since none seemed to want to get together with me. Then Dennis said hi, and we got together. We did a couple of high-level individual missions. Then we started his character's intro to the end game, since he'd just reached that on the character he was playing before teaming up with me. I guess we did a few missions, but only one with real fights. Yes, we stopped after the first mission with real fights, where it matters. Then we stopped. he'll finish that another day, maybe with me, or maybe with someone else. We said goodnight. Then I did my exercise and dancing. Between the dancing sets I read comics and played Cross Stitch World. After the last of the dancing, I began writing in this, and made notes here, too. I did peek at Vindictus, which was down for maintenance earlier, but had just come back. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 10, 2024

After breakfast, I contacted Uber, and a chatty fellow came and took me to church. I did enjoy talking with him much of the way down. I got to church during the announcements. I think the service was pretty nice. Afterwards, we had lunch on the lanai. I put my things down in the usual place. So many sat next to me, Auntie Barbara had to sit down at the table from me. When I got up for dessert, I moved over to sit next to her. Then we got to catch up with each other. {Smile}

As expected, every seat in her car was taken for the ride home. However, she'd arranged for me to ride home with home communion, which was visiting this week. Our first stop was at a nursing home near our house. I walked int with them, so we could visit a friend of the family who is there. It was one of her good days; she was alert, and aware, and pretty talkative. Then we went to my house. It was a good day for Mom, too. She wasn't talkative, but she was awake and took home communion happily. That's how her good days are now. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was resting when I went in but not asleep, just sleepy. She woke up a little when I showed pictures while reading her niece's letter, and really woke up when we got to the babies. She stayed awake after the babies, too. I think she enjoyed the pictures and the readings, too. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. After that, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Next, I continued _Picture Book Babies_. Then I read a couple of stories - or two parts of a longer story - in _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I finished with November 10th's story, "Grumpy Rabbit," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I had a long walk in and long walk out to see Karen. It felt like a block's worth of walking each way. Later, I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. I did my head exercises after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming most of the evening. I was surprised that I actually felt tired after them; that walking must have been more exercise than I realized. At least with feeling tired, I don't feel as guilty that it was too late to do more. {Smile}

After home communion, I got on my computer and hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies in the middle long, large group event. I joined it and finished it with him. Then we ran missions together afterwards until they left. After that, I played Vindictus until it was time to read to Mom. I started a talk mission like I haven't seen there before. {Smile}

After dinner, I finished the talk mission, which took a while. I did not expect it to be that long. Part of it was that it was a murder mystery, and I went about it methodically, only skipping steps if the game did. Then I finished Saturday's daily update before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten in a taskforce by themselves. They stopped and let me join by restarting it. They actually restarted it twice because they were concerned the mission wouldn't get them what they wanted. When they realized it would, they went on after inviting Divi who happened to be nearby. The three of us did the whole thing even though we doubted we could handle the two biggest bad guys in it. I also talked with Nox a little, but not much. Near the end of the taskforce, Chrome came in to say hi. He stayed for two quick missions. I switched characters for them, since the character I'd done the taskforce with had gotten my goal for her with a nice cushion. Then I did minimal paperwork before I did my head exercises. Next, I peeked at Vindictus before writing and making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 9, 2024

 On Saturday, I got a phone call from Auntie Barbara after dinner. We planned meet at church the next day, but she expects her car to be too full to give me a ride home afterwards. We also caught up in general a little. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was resting when I went in but woke right up for me. I think she enjoyed the pictures and the readings, too. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I continued _Picture Book Babies_. Next, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 9th's story, "The Lonely Owl," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

The only exercise is the new one that's kind of all the time, even days. off. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I browsed the web. Then I played Vindictus until lunch. Then I hopped into City of heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten, and we tried to join the middle short, large group event together. While Kitten got into the zone, it was full when I tried slightly later. Kitten offered to come out so I could join the second half, but by then, someone else was trying to get in, too, so there was no guarantee their sacrificing their space would benefit me. So, they stayed inside. After that, though, we both joined the middle long, large group event with no trouble, as did Pierogies. the three of us tried to get together afterwards, but Kitten faded out. Pierogies and I teamed for a while. Then Pierogies left, so I did some paperwork. When I noticed the later long, large group event advertising, I joined it. Right after that, I left to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Friday's daily update with more and longer breaks for Cross Stitch World than I meant to take. Kitten checked on me, I so slow getting back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I began to write up this and take notes in it, too, then hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I joined Kitten and Dennis. We ran a couple of missions before Dennis left. Then Kitten and I tried another mission, but Kitten was mostly out of it, even though they found stuff quickly. They eventually apologized for being so tired and left to sleep. I also talked with Nox on chat world. I said hi to Divi, Ulty, and Jenny's player a while after Kitten left. Ulty and Jenny's player answered. They were running a low-level story arc with a friend. I joined them on a low-level character. We finished one arc and began the next. first one friend of their joined, then another. I think Jenny's player switched characters, too. We eventually finished the second arc. Then the others left, and I did paperwork before playing a little Vindictus. Then I read some comics and ended the day by notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 8, 2024

On Friday, after breakfast, I contracted Uber. A fellow came and took me to Life Care Center for physical therapy. It was a good session He increased my time on a seated step machine, and worked on combining new stuff with the walking exercises I'm already doing. That meant I only got a little salsa dancing, but I did get to do some. Afterwards, I contacted Uber, and a gal came and took me home. {Smile}

The housekeeper finally came out. She'd been out nursing an injury for a few weeks, so the house definitely needed her attentions, and is certainly feeling better after her visit. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was mostly awake when I went in, despite me being late again. This time I would have left the game at what would have been the right time if I'd gone straight to Mom, but I had to pay the housekeeper fist, and that always involves a little talk. Mom seemed a bit drowsy but woke up when I reached the parts with pictures to look at again. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Next, I continued _Picture Book Babies_. Then I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I finished with November 8th's story, "Goldie" in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

My exercise was my physical therapy today, and we got a good session in. I'm learning additional things to do with my exercises, to go with the new stuff last week. {Smile}

When I got home from physical therapy, I had lunch, then hopped into Vindictus. When I was done, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I tried to check with the villain supergroup that Dr. Faustus is so active in, but they didn't reply. A lot of members have had things taking them away from their computers recently. I found Kitten, but they said they were too tired, and soon left. Then I checked with the new villain supergroup, but I'd just pulled out my first character, and talked about introducing a new character, because the old one wasn't happy there, and the new one was better. They didn't seem to want me when I'm between characters being members, but we hope to get an entrance interview for the new one soon. I ended up playing by myself on a low-level character until Pierogies on. We talked and began to team up. We started to join a taskforce together until I noticed it was time to read to Mom right then. So, I left, but needed to pay the housekeeper next, so I was still late to read to Mom. {smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Thursday's daily update with a short Cross Stitch World break. Then I began writing and notes in this. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming to find Kitten farming to help level someone. I joined them, then Dennis joined us too. We ran a TF that needs 4 characters- no more and no less. We got some badges, but the new one mis-clicked, and didn't get the reward they really wanted. So, we ran it again and got the rest of the badges. Everyone clicked the right reward this time. Then we ran some of Dennis's missions. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server a little. Phonso joined the four of us, and we ran some more missions. I switched characters in case we got to a particular part. I wanted to be on a character who'd benefit from something, but we didn't get to that part before Dennis left and team broke up. I did some paperwork before I made notes in this, pausing to peek at Vindictus. {Smile}

Daily Update November 7,. 2024

On Thursday, after breakfast, I had my video counselling. We talked a lot about recent events. I think my counselor and I are both adjusting and figuring out how to adjust to them. {Smile}

I ate lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake when I went in. I arrived on time if not slightly early. Mom stayed awake while I read, and looked at all the pictures, I think she looked most steadily at the babies. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. Then I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I continued _Picture Book Babies_. Next, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 7th's story, "Grandfather," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did my salsa dancing warmup after a rest after cleaning myself up after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming much of the evening. Then I did my head exercises and arm resistance exercises during a break, along with Vindictus and a little writing in this. Then I tried to do more salsa dancing but had to stop. It was pretty late, and I found I was slowing down. Salsa is too fast a dance for that. {smile}

After counselling I played Vindictus, then had a late lunch. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I got a low-level character, then noticed that Pierogies was in the middle long, large-group event. I finished a talk mission, then joined the middle long, large-group event after the big boss. I got some stuff, but not a lot by that event's standards. Pierogies didn't get as much as he hoped, either, and he started earlier. He asked about the character I'd started with, so I switched back. He got a low-level character, too. We ran several missions until he had to leave. Then I did a talk and a hunt, and a patrol mission that we'd skipped because they're either really solo work, or easy to do by myself. After that, I left to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Wednesday's daily update, with a relatively short break for Cross Stitch World. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Folks I particularly like to talk or team with were either not there or looked busy, but I saw someone I didn't know asking for someone to team with their low-level character. I grabbed a different low-level character than the one I used before dinner and teamed up with them. We did several missions until they left. Afterwards, I had only a talk mission, a patrol mission, and one regular mission to being able to go up in level. I did them and started to get the next contacts. Then I stopped when I realized it was good time to clean myself up, so I did that instead. After that, I read comics and started writing and taking notes in this. After that, I did my salsa dancing, then played Vindictus until I tried more salsa dancing, but that didn't work so well. So, I wrote and made notes in this, with a break for a video. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 6. 2024

On Wednesday, I stayed home. The rain had stopped, but I had no appointments. I concentrated on processing my country's presidential election results, and the news that even friends overseas were processing those same results, because the USA has long-reaching impacts around the world. All in all, it was a lot to take in and adjust to. I talked to my British friend about it in a conversation too slow to really mention elsewhere. {smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I went in, despite me boing late again. Mom got drowsy with the reading but woke up when I reached the parts with pictures to look at. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Then, I restarted _Picture Book Babies_. After that, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I finished with November 6th's story, "Cold Feet!" in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I got just over 20 1/2 minutes of salsa done in a warmup set and a less structured set. I hoped to do more, but I was too absorbed in thinking about recent political events. {rueful smile}

From breakfast through much of the morning, I played Vindictus. I stopped before lunch, but too late to clean myself up first, so I browsed the internet over lunch. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I started with paperwork. Then I found Pierogies as he was joining the early long, large-group event. I joined it too and ran it with him. Afterwards, we parted, he to check with his wife, and me to do more paperwork, then clean myself up. I came back to find he'd been free long before I expected him to be. We joined up and ran a couple of missions of mine in a story arc. Dennis joined us partway through. Though the first one ended before time to read to Mom with time to spare, the second ran right past the time, So, I dashed off to read to her. {smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Tuesday's daily update with long breaks for Cross Stitch World and some web browsing. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I said hi to Dennis and Phonso. Phonso was starting a trial, which Dennis and I joined. Dennis left after one run, but Phonso, I and some of the other folks he recruited ran a second. He's really good at leading them. After the second, Phonso and I said goodnight. I also talked to Nox and Nik on the chat server in a three-way conversation, which was nice. I also did some paperwork and started writing and making notes in this. Then I started my dancing, with Vindictus both between the sets and after the second set. I finished the evening with more writing and making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 5, 2024

On Tuesday, I had a late morning nap. I also got a call from the leader of monthly meeting making sure I knew when our next lunch will be. I'd missed the email telling which Thursday it was on. Yes, we're doing Thursday, because Don's Grill is closed on our usual Tuesdays. {smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I went in, which was right on time today. Mom started out awake but got drowsy with the reading. I just hope it's my soothing voice and presence. Mom did open her eyes to look at some of the pictures. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Next, I started _Picture Book Babies_. Then I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 5th's story, "Hungry Bluetits," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did my head exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. Then I did my arm swinging exercises and my arm resistance exercises after dinner. After playing, I did over 20 minutes of salsa dancing, first the warmup set, then a less structured set. {Smile}

I browsed on the web over breakfast, then hopped into Vindictus. Eventually I paused for a nap. After that, I played more Vindictus over lunch. Finally done, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I played by myself since the folks I usually team with weren't around. Then Pierogies said hi. We teamed up on low-level characters, finishing a hunt and doing a mission. Then they wanted to join a trial. I tried but needed to use the facilities. When I got back, they'd already left. I had a few missions that started with talking with NPCs, so I did that, and missed most of another trial, though somehow, they added me after they'd started. Unfortunately, I was so late, I only got the completion badge; I must have come in after both of the other badges were done. I was around the midpoint when they finished, so I didn't even get to fight. By then, Pierogies had tired of the trials. He got called away before we could start something else. I worked on some paperwork on a couple of characters, then started a hunt on a mid-level character. Then Kitten said hi. We teamed up, finished my hunt, and did a mission before they left to join the later long, large-group event. I switched characters and soloed a hunt. Then Pierogies came back. We teamed up and did a mission. Then I left to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I began writing up this daily update and making notes in it. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update, with breaks for exercise, watching a video, and reading a few comics. Finally, I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten, and we started to team up on mid-level characters when Kitten pointed out a low-level character looking for a team. I switched to a low-level character, and we teamed with them. They said later to call them Major Victory. We did some of my missions, and Dennis joined us. Then Major Victory. suggested a story arc that can be done at our level. I also talked to Nox, starting with them asking about the daily update. Somehow, I hadn't finished it for them when I had for everyone else. We continued with general chatting after that. On City of Heroes: Homecoming, the four of us got halfway through the story arc when Phonso invited us to a trial. Major Victory didn't have a character high enough, so we declined. Phonso started a taskforce that's enough lower, Major Victory had someone high enough for it. Major Victory established long-term communication with me. We ran the taskforce with Phonso, Dennis, Kitten, and a few strangers Phonso recruited. Afterwards, I talked with Major Victory during paperwork. After the paperwork, I did some salsa dancing. Then I finished the paperwork and peeked at comics and Vindictus before I did more salsa dancing. After all that, I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 4, 2024

Monday was quiet. I stayed home. It was a good day for that, since we had heavy rain, with heavy cloud cover making it noticeably dim all day. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I went in. even though I was over half an hour late. I blame misreading the clock. I thought it was around five, teamed up with Kitten, and did a mission. It was 6:30... when I hadn't done more than half an hour's worth of stuff. I was late again, I fear. Mom was pretty interested in the pictures this time. She definitely enjoyed the pictures of kids. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I started her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I finished _The Picture book of Babies_. Next, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I finished with November 4th's story, "Up in the Attic," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did my arm swinging exercises and my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my salsa dancing warmup after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming most of the evening. After a break, I did my head exercises before I did my less structured salsa dancing set. I had a twinge in one knee at the beginning of the less structured set, but thankfully it went away. I avoided fast turns, just in case. {Smile}

After breakfast, I played Vindictus. Until I stopped to clean myself up in the late morning. I played more Vindictus over lunch, and into the afternoon. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, I found Kitten, and we ran a few missions with me on my new character, Water Cat. Then they left to join the later long, large-group event. I went to train up to the next level, and realized I really needed a different power than I'd picked. I put everything transferrable into email and remade the character. Pierogies commented when they saw Water Cat in the tutorial when they knew they were beyond that. They had no interest in running the tutorial with me. So, I ran the tutorial and got the badge by myself. I checked the time; thought it was five, so I teamed up with Kitten for a mission After that, I checked the time again, and it was 6:30. I dashed off to read to Mom late. {rueful smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Sunday's daily update with a break for reading comics. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I started working on the newly remade Water Cat. Kitten said mew, and while we were getting together, Phonso invited me and anyone I was with to a taskforce. We got together and ran the taskforce. I talked with Alex and Dennis while waiting for another taskforce. Alex was busy. Dennis tried to join, but it filled too fast, largely because most of the first team stayed. I also talked with Nox on the chat server. We ran the second taskforce. After that, I talked with Kitten and one stranger for a short bit before exercising. Then I did my salsa dancing. I watched videos and did my head exercises between the sets of salsa dancing. After that, I made notes and wrote in this, along with watching videos, peeking at City of Heroes: Homecoming, reading comics and a little online shopping. {Smile}

Daily Update, November 3, 2024

After breakfast, I contacted Uber. The driver they connected me to was 14 minutes away, so I was glad I'd called earlier He came and took me to church, and I still got there during the announcements. The service was pretty nice, though I sat alone. {Smile}

I had lunch with friends, including Auntie Barbara, on the lanai. Then I went home with Auntie Barbara, who was taking two others home, but mine was the first stop. She came in to visit Mom, and we sang with her: parts of three songs. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was a little groggy when I went in. I was late again, I fear. Mom wasn't always looking at the pictures this time, but I think she was listening even when she had her eyes closed. She did enjoy some of the pictures of kids. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I read a Christmas card from a friend. Next, I showed her pictures in _The Picture book of Babies_. After that, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 3rd's story, "Little Fox Cub," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}

I did my standing arm weight training while waiting for Uber to come take me to church because they were uncommonly far away. Then I did my arm swinging exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. After starting to write this up after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming, I did my arm resistance exercises, followed by eight of my fourteen walking exercises and my head exercises. After a break, I did my other six walking exercises.

After I got back from church, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork no one I usually team with was there. So, I left to play Vindictus for a while, then went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I still found no one in the game, but Pierogies and Kitten were talking about character names on the chat server. Since a whole bunch became available yesterday, folks are snapping up ones they particularly want. Pierogies helped me get the name Water Cat. I made a character and got it into the tutorial. There, I noticed someone asking if anyone wanted to team up to pool efforts to get the one badge inside the tutorial. I did, and we both got it. Then I ran the tutorial proper and began setting up the character. Next, Dennis said hi, so I picked a good stopping place and switched characters to team up with Dennis and his best friend for a mission. It stretched a little longer than I hoped, making me late to read to Mom. {smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Saturday's daily update, with breaks to read comics and play Cross Stitch World. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dennis, who was impressed with how early I got in, though I could have been quicker yet. We teamed up, and I joined him in a mission. He disconnected before the end. While I waited for him to come back, I saw someone asking if folks wanted to do a taskforce. I said I would if my friend didn't come back. Dennis did come back while we were waited, then promptly disconnected again. He told me he had on the chat server while his character was standing unresponsive right in front of me in the game. He got back online just in time to join the taskforce and did. We both switched to high-level characters, since we were both too low-level for this particular taskforce. Then we ran the taskforce. I got three badges, before the taskforce failed at the beginning of the last battle. So, I didn't get the final badge on this character that time. This isn't the first time I've seen that taskforce fail; it's one of the hardest in the game, if not the hardest. It was too late to run again. I waited while Dennis joined a supergroup. Then we said goodnight. I did some paperwork and began to write this up. Then I started my exercises, with writing, making notes, and City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork in the break, and more writing and notes afterwards, along with a peek at Vindictus and some web browsing. {Smile}
