{sigh}

I know I’ve gone quiet recently. I’m sorry if that worried anyone. I’m okay... but I lost a dear friend to cancer at the end of August. {bite lips} It’s taking me time to adjust to her not being around anymore. I miss her very much. {resigned look}

  1. I am so sorry about your friend. I wish there was something I could say or do -but I've noticed that `you'll be fine eventually' isn't the right thing to say because it implies that you could forget someone who has blessed your life, and `it's really incredibly hard' just makes a person look ahead and see all the rocks and crags. I will be praying for you, though.

  2. Thanks, Chicory. Just knowing you're there and praying helps. {watery smile}

    No, I'll never forget her. She lived far away, but she was better at keeping in touch by email than anyone else I know. So I keep thinking of things I want to tell her, only to remember that she isn't there anymore....

    Oh dear. I miss her so much!

  4. Thanks for asking. I have been hiding, haven't I? {rueful smile}

    I'm in the middle of another round of "What's THIS crazy symptom mean, and how do I keep it from disrupting my life?". This time, the symptom is a kind of spasm in my chest - quivering, fluttering, or pounding, depending on intensity. The good news is that there's no pain involved, and that I can find the pulse going slower and more steadily underneath the spasm. The better news is that those two details make my doctor think this probably isn't lie threatening.

    The bad news is we don't know what it is. It could be cardiac, respiratory, or muscular. I'll hopefully begin to find out more when I see a cardiologist. I have an appointment on the 22nd. Wish it was sooner, but there are only two cardiologists in town, so they're rather busy. {lop-sided smile}

    I'll have to make a fuller explanation in a post, won't I? But... yes, there's trouble, but it's probably not life-threatening. {cross fingers, Hopeful Smile}
