Daily Update, May 18, 2025

On Saturday before lunch, my main nurse took me out. We had been thinking about walking around Liliu'okalani Gardens again, but it was raining too heavily for walking outside. We still stopped for a popsicle. That was our first stop. I picked mango cream when they were out of lilikoi creme. I ate it with the plastic pouch around it again, though it melted much less because the day was that much cooler, as it can be, especially with rain. {smile}

I finished the popsicle just as we got to Prince Kuhio Plaza. WE walked around the plaza, in the main, fully enclosed and air-conditioned part. I stopped at the comic store, where I found four regular book-sized book at 35% off each because they're having a going out of business sale. No, they aren't doing badly financially, but they need to concentrate on their health more than running the store allows. I looked around a little more but paid and left pretty quickly for me. Even with much of the store either 35% off or 50% off, I thought I should leave before I found more to get, too. {Chuckles}

I looked for my main nurse, but didn't spot him. So, I texted him to let him know I was done. He quickly came and got me. He admired the books, and the special I'd got them on. He agreed that leaving before I bought more might be a good plan, too.

After that, we walked back towards the car until we ran into a hula show by a bunch of young girls. We watched the rest of the piece they were in the middle of, followed by the next three pieces, until that group's part of the show was done. then we went back to the car, and my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

Walking around Prince Kuhio Plaza was my exercise, including a little back and forth looking for my main nurse. {Smile}

Before our trip out, I browsed on the web while I got ready. In the car, mostly talked with my main nurse on the way out. On the leg to Prince Kuhio, I was busy enjoying my popsicle, of course. I mostly slept on the way back, but I also played a little Cross Stitch World. When we got back, I had lunch. then I played some Cross Stitch World, read comics and browsed web s I settled in. Next, I wrote up much of Friday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did paperwork. After that, I said hi to friends, and teamed up with Kitten and Naruto. We finished the story arc that Naruto and I started the other night. then we said goodbye-for-now, and I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up the rest of Saturday's daily update and read web comics before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and said hi to friends. Then I got together with Kitten, and we started doing missions together on the character they're designing for me. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server. After Kitten and I did two or three missions, Dragons joined us. After a few more missions, Rav joined us, too. We continued to do my missions, running out three contacts that were only partially done. We also visited a lot on the side. At that point, I was happy to let my character gain a few levels, but while I was setting that up, Dragons left to join a friend running higher level missions. Then Rav left too, and Kitten admitted they were tired, then fell silent. So, I did paperwork and made notes in this with breaks for less Cross Stitch World than usual. I've figured out that while Cross Stitch World lets me feel productive, I'm actually more productive in City of Heroes: Homecoming. At least there I contribute to a Homecoming-wide game economy that includes six servers within the group, and thousands of players. Cross Stitch World has nothing comparable. I'm working alone, benefitting no one but myself.  Anyway, I ended the evening with a teensy bit more paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming and finishing my notes in this. I tired and succeeded in going to bed slightly earlier for the second day in a row. My nurses are pushing that I need to sleep longer, so I did, thought they would like much more. {Smile}
