Daily Update, April 28, 2024

    I called Uber after breakfast, and a fellow came and took me to church. I arrived over ten minutes late, but they must have started late, since I got there during the announcements. it was morning prayer, since our priest was gone for her father's funeral. At that, it was altered, with minimal processing, because our deacon was barely able to hobble on crutches.

   We had a big lunch afterwards. Then I got a ride home with one of the folks who often takes me when Auntie Barbara isn't there. Auntie Barbara had warned me the previous night that she wouldn't be there because she wanted to spend more time with her son and his wife, are visiting for a while. {Smile}

   My story came along a bit more, but it's still pretty slow. I suspect it doesn't help that I'm trying to do a lot without adding too much to the length in the introduction. {smile}

   I ate breakfast and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. I got there slightly earlier than sometimes. Mom was quite awake this time, but not as interested in some of what I read. She kept her eyes open, but sometimes I wondered if she was looking at the pictures. First, I began my reading with scripture and thoughts about it. Then I continued reading her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2021. After that, I read a couple of pages from _Music stars 1940-1960 Memory Lane_, but not as much as usual, because she said she wasn't enjoying it. Next, I read "Snow White and Rose Red" from _Five Minute Fairy Tales_. I finished with the 28th of April's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "the Race." {Smile}

   I did my head exercises and started my arm swinging exercises while waiting for Uber. I finished my arm swinging exercises and did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my walking exercises after I finished teaming for the evening. Next, I took a break, then did my salsa dancing warmup set. After another break, I did my less structured salsa dancing set.

   When I got home, I played Cross Stitch World and read articles. Then I wrote up Saturday's daily update. Next, I snuck into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I got caught immediately by Pierogies and Kitten, who were admiring Kitten's base. I joined them, and we chatted while we admired it for a while. Then we split up. I cleaned myself up, then we back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I teamed up with Kitten and Dennis for three missions. Pierogies joined us partway through the second one. Then I left to read to Mom. {Smile}

   After dinner and some exercises, I got back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dennis and Kitten admiring Kitten's base and joined them. Then we teamed up and started to play. Dennis thought a particular character had done a certain story arc, but he couldn't find the contact, or the one before that. He did find the one before that, but it looked like he hadn't done anything for that contact. He must have done the others on a different character. Anyway, we did that story arc with him. I also talked briefly but meaningfully with Nox on the chat server. When Dennis, Kitten and I finished that story arc, Dennis left for bed. Then Kitten and I ran one more mission. The next mission looked like more than we quite felt up to, so we said goodnight. Then I did some of my exercises. I played Cross Stitch World, watched videos, wrote some of this and took notes to write from for the rest of it in the breaks and afterwards, too. {Smile}
