Daily Update, June 22, 2025

On Sunday, my main nurse took me to church after breakfast. We got there during the sermon again. I didn't spot Auntie Barbara, so I sat with my main nurse near our usual spot. Auntie Barbara was there, and didn't spot me either. We found each other after the service. I started to sit with her, but the Daughters of the King were having an informal meeting, and I joined them. {Smile}

Afterwards, Auntie Barbara and I went to visit Charlotte, a friend from church who doesn't get out now. At first, I was in my main nurse's car, but I got confused about which road her house is on. We found it after I switched to Auntie Barbara's car. We had a nice visit with a lot of talk where each of us joined in at times. We also had a long chat with Charlotte's daughter afterwards. She's stressed with caregiving for her mother, and I have to agree it's stressful. I felt it with my mom, even with the nurses doing most of the care. Then Auntie Barbara took me home. {Smile}

I thought a lot about the conversation afterwards, and finally texted Auntie Barbara about it. That stopped my thoughts from going in circles, just like I hoped. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. I hope that's okay the day after a good walk. {Smile}

After church I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World much longer than I meant to. I kept thinking about that conversation, and Cross Stitch World is very playable while thinking. Eventually, I texted Auntie Barbara about it, breaking that loop of thought, just before cleaning myself up with the help of my main nurse. When I was done, I made notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming late, especially for Sunday, when I usually get in early. I started with paperwork and said hi to Kitten. We got together, but Kitten was distracted, so I started collecting badges in the newly finished zone. However, the system I was using stopped working after only two badges, when I hoped for seven plus one. Then Kitten joined me, and Jag joined us at Kitten's invitation. My main nurse called me to dinner before we got anything started, but neither promised not to be sleeping when I got back, so I ran one quick individual mission with then. Then we said goodbye, and I went to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I made notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I found Kitten and Jag not far from where I left them. We teamed up, but Jag was leaving for bed, so he and I just said goodnight. Then Kitten and I started another new story arc. Michiel joined us as we were starting, and Dennis joined us not long after that. We did that story arc all the way through, hoping for at least one badge each. As the mission holder, I got one, but no one else did. Everyone was disappointed, including me.  I promised to run it with them, or to understand if they ran it without me. That was right before Michiel and Dennis left for bed. Near the end of that story arc, Dr. Faustus asked about teaming up. I'd told him to wait until we were done with the story arc. I asked Kitten if they wanted to come, but they were too tired, and left for bed, too. I switched to my low-level villain supergroup member and joined Dr. Faustus. We finished the last villain contact who tops out at my level. Then Dr. Faustus suggested doing a set of four hero story arcs, saying we could use to explain stuff in roleplaying. Those story arcs happen to be favorites of mine, so I happily agreed. We did the first contact all the way through. Then Dr. Faustus realized he had to leave. We agreed to get together again after I sleep and such. I did some paperwork and badge hunting. Then I made notes in this and played a little Cross Stitch World before bed. {Smile}
