Daily Update, August 5, 2025

On Tuesday I set up a file to share at my creative writing class before my relief nurse took me down to the Kamana Senior Center for that class. I got there early but wasn't the first one. One gal brought her sister, who is visiting this week. The teacher gave us a lecture, then a free writing exercise where we each wrote a response for several minutes. Then we broke into small groups where we read recent writing and gave critiques, both saying what we liked, and what we felt needed improvement. {Smile}

My relief nurse picked me up afterwards and took me to my doctor's office.  I told them about the symptoms I've still been having, and they decided the antibiotic had worked, but I probably have a yeast infection too. So, I started a medication for that when I got home, since I have some on hand from the last one. Frequent yeast infections are a side effect of one of my regular medications. {smile}

I also got a phone call from my cousin Kim. We caught up with how each other and our friends and relatives are doing. It was so nice to talk with her. We don't call each other often. We really should call more. {Smile}

I didn't exercise on Tuesday, but between line dancing on Monday, and Zumba Gold on Wednesday, a break feels good. {Smile}

After class, I realized I hadn't eaten the lunch I'd brought. I meant to eat it during class, but I ate some on the way to my doctor's office instead, and most of the rest on the way home. I finished up my water and got more to drink when I got home. Then I settled into my computer, checking the chat world and answering some messages. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. close to the time for the teen supergroup meeting. I waited for it to begin and talked with Pierogies. The supergroup meeting started with roleplaying like usual. I'm afraid I took a break to try replacing my monitor with an older, smaller one, but the computer wouldn't talk to the older monitor. The new monitor has developed some both pink and green horizontal lines that flicker and take hours to go away. The wait is getting hard on my migraine, so I'd like another solution, but the computer and the old monitor ignore each other when I try to connect them. I really don't know what's wrong. Anyway, I put up with the new monitor being difficult through the roleplaying, and well into a taskforce that's especially rewarding the first time you do it on a character this week. We had to start without one member because they were too late getting back home after work. We did talk with them after they arrived, but taskforces don't let you add members partway through. After the taskforce, I roleplayed with the supergroup a little before breaking for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to the teen supergroup meeting, where the roleplaying was going strong. It kept going for quite a while. I'm afraid I snuck in writing up Monday's daily update and starting notes for Tuesday's update as it slowed down. I also talked a little with Dr. Faustus. Eventually, most left for bed. That's when Phonso invited me to a strike force. I realized the last two other members, who were playing a romantic couple, looked like they'd appreciate some privacy. So, I excused myself, and joined the strike force, arranging with Dr. Faustus to meet there. We ran it with the group Phonso recruited. After the strike force, the group broke up. I said goodnight to Phonso, and did some auction house and similar sorting. Then I said hi to Dr. Faustus again and joined them for some missions with roleplaying until we said goodnight. After that, I did some auction house and similar stuff before making notes in this. I got to bed early-for-me. I wouldn't mind this being my new normal time. {Smile}
