Daily Update, April 5, 2023

    Valentine didn't throw up today that I found. I'll call the vet tomorrow about it; I'm hoping no more throwing up, and he can start the next medicine. {Smile}

   I had the phone appointment with my main financial adviser. It went about like I expected. She talked about what I needed to do, and I asked about alternatives, and decided to do exactly what we'd been planning anyway. I didn't need to change our plan, I just needed to confirm in my own mind that it was a good idea. {Smile}

   My leg has been difficult to walk on all day. It was worst when I first got up. As I used it, it got better, as I sat, it would go back, but not all the way. It's much better, but our nurse thinks one day off from my salsa dancing may be good and shouldn't hurt, so that's what I'm doing. {Smile}

   I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. I read scripture and thoughts about it and continued with a Christmas letter from a friend from 2019. Then, I read a little bit from Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. Next, I read six short poems, all from 365 Animal Stories and Rhymes. Then I finished up by reading the April 5th story from 366 Stories for Bedtime: A Tale for Every Day of the Year. Mom said she liked it all. She was tired but did respond sometimes. {Smile}

   I read comics in the morning and over lunch, then said Hi to Kitten I hoped to get together before the phone appointment with my financial adviser, but we ran out of time. After the appointment, Kitten and I got together, and talked about maybe doing missions before we ended up joining an April Fools Event league. Yes, that's still going on. I heard someone say they'd read that it's to continue until Friday. My RWBY friend joined the league separately, and really wanted to stick with it, so the three of us just stayed with it, at least until I went to read to Mom. {Smile}

   After dinner, I looked briefly at comics again, and went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming to join Kitten again. This time, she was particularly interested in working on badges for her favorite character. My best badge collector needs some of the same badges, so we did two low-level story arcs together. One more, and three solo things, and we'll get a badge each, but there are two related badges to get, and four that those three will also complete. That's in the future, though. I just said goodnight to Nox again, but I did get to talk to Meroa a bit. It looks like Kitten fell asleep about the time I would have started salsa dancing if my leg hadn't been acting up. So, I looked up and read some articles... I've realized that fear of success is holding me back from pursuing publishing more intensively, So I'm looking into things to try to understand my fear in hopes that will help me overcome it. {Smile}
