On Thursday, not long after I got up, I got a call from a fellow with a self-publishing school. He asked some questions, since they'd noticed me looking into it recently. After a while I asked him to call me back around lunch time. {smile}
I had to get ready for my online counselling appointment, which started during breakfast. It was a good session. We talked about some things that seemed important, including how to proceed with Daughters of the King, We also discussed my writing, and that phone call a bit. {Smile}
Closer to lunch, the guy called back and mentioned rates that sounded pretty high. However, when I looked into editing rates after he hung up, they seemed more typical than I expected. Later I found lower rates elsewhere, but not as much lower as I could wish. I can still hope for a better deal, but it's beginning to look like publishing without losing money on getting the book ready may be trickier than I thought, especially through self-publishing, where editing, design, advertising, and such costs are taken on the author. Traditional publishing takes on most of those costs in exchange for a share of the profit. {smile}
Then in the middle of the afternoon my main nurse took me out for errands. I dropped off books at library and stopped by the bank for some cash. Then we went to Target. Walking around it was my main exercise but with Zumba Gold the day before, I hope a light day is okay. I priced printers but didn't buy one. I just moved on to the books when my nurse suggested I leave the printer for another day. I did buy a couple of books after looking them over. Then my main nurse took me back home.
After my online counselling, I browsed on the web and read web comics around the second phone call, the research into editing rates it prompted, and lunch as well. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends, then worked on auction house, crafting, and storage until our trip out. During the trip out, I played Cross Stitch World a lot in the car. After we got back, I played a bit more Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked n friends. Then I checked the badges on my best badge collector. I found a badge I could work on by myself, though it will take a while to get. I began to work on it before dinner. {Smile}
After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and wrote up Wednesday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends. Then I worked on that badge again. I also chatted with Nox on Discord. Then I suddenly got invited to a team hunting a giant monster in the zone I was in. I joined it and got it. Then we got a few other giant monsters, too. After that, I worked on that badge again, until I wound down sorting out the auction house, crafting, and storage. After that, I made notes in this before bed. {Smile}
