Daily Update, April 19, 2026

The night before Sunday, I found myself at a good stopping place unusually early in City of Heroes: Homecoming. So, I stopped to write my daily update. I got seriously distracted by comics but realized that treating overheating and blood sugar really helped. I still managed to get more written before switching to making notes, and then I got off early enough to get to bed barely after 1:30 am. That was great, since I got up at 8:30 because church started at 9 am. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to church. We arrived just before the sermon, so I heard all of it this time. It was morning prayer, so we didn't have communion. Still, it was a nice service. After the service, I ran into my cousin Babs, and her hanai (adopted) granddaughter. They had a good spread for lunch on the lanai, since we had one service instead of two. We sat together, my main nurse. Two other new folks sat with us, too, and we found we had a lot in common. I think we might often sit together. When lunch was done, my main nurse took me back home. {Smile}

After we got back, I got onto my computer. I browsed articles and videos and read comics. I also finished writing up Saturday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I said hi to Pierogies, but he didn't respond. I finished the auction house, storage and crafting left over from the night before on the ranged version of Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. Then I left to clean myself up with the help of my main nurse. After that, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I got the melee-ranged Olga and did two or three missions in a story arc by myself. By then I was thoroughly bored with playing by myself. It can get pretty monotonous without friends or fellow players to liven things up. I checked my friends who play the game again and found that Seb had come on. I looked for him and had to ask where he was a couple of times before I found him. My Olga joined his Marius, and he introduced me to three friends he was with. I'd met at least one before, but not often. I roleplayed with them until dinner, excusing myself in-character as well as out of character to go find dinner. During dinner, I read Forward Day by Day and browsed another book I found. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I checked where I'd left Seb's Marius. I found him in the same place, with only the friend I'm certain I met before. I roleplayed with them until first the friend then Seb left. Then I went back to soloing missions. While doing that, I talked with Dennis, who said he'd be back after a walk. I finished the story arc, then realized I'd missed a message from Dennis, who'd already left for the evening. It was old when I found it. So was an invitation to a strike force from Divi, though not as old. Divi had started without me. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Divi invited me to fight a giant monster. We fought a second giant monster at my request before the team broke up. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. After that, I began working on some badges on Olga. I also wrote much of this, with breaks mainly to work on the badges until I until I got my goal badge for now. Then I checked the in-game auction house on a few characters. I also took a break for Cross Stitch World. I switched to notes before the end the update. I ended my evening with the Lord's prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 18, 2026

The night before Saturday, I didn't get to bed until a while before 2:15 am. I had hoped I'd gotten to where I was earlier than that, at least. Also, I was pretty tired until I had rested a lot in the car and took a shorter than usual nap. I noticed I had particular trouble staying on tack when I was at my most tired. That's a common reason for me to run late, so I'm trying to move my writing and note taking in my daily updates earlier. I don't' like to go to bed before I finish those, so let's try to stay on task with them more. I hope that will be easier if I do them earlier, when I'm hopefully less tired. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to the branch of Clinical Laboratories on Lanihuli Street. It's one of four branches in Hilo, but it's one of only two that are open on Saturday, and both close at noon, so I wanted to be sure to get there well before they closed. I gave them the sample needed for a medical test ordered by my doctor. Then my main nurse took me down to the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens. They were open again, so we went in. I picked out a sweet potato popsicle and ate it on the way to Safeway. There, I rested in the car while my main nurse went in for something we needed. After that, we went home. On all legs of the trip except the one between Liliu'okalani Gardens and Safeway, I drowsed in the car. It helped me feel less tired, but not completely so. {Smile}

At breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. Also, My main nurse pointed out that I was tired enough to be particularly easily distracted. After we got home, I got onto my computer, and browsed articles and videos while I ate lunch. Then I read one comic before realizing that while I was less tired, I wasn't wide awake, and I was easily distracted. So, I lay down for a nap. I did wake up a little earlier than usual. Next, I went back to my computer and wrote up Friday's daily update. After that, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. then I did one mission on the melee-ranged Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. I bored enough by the time I got done with it, I stopped to chat with Dennis and Kitten, and separately with Seb, all on Discord, the chat server. Seb came into the game, so I joined him on my melee-ranged Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member for some light roleplaying. When his favorite cafe opened, we went to it to continue light roleplaying, though I don't speak up much in that setting. when I got called for dinner, I warned them I'd be away because of it. {Smile}

I read that novel again over dinner. Then I went back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming. I apologized for zoning out as Olga, letting them know I was back. I tried to get into it, and added a few things, but I was still awfully quiet. I eventually excused myself, apologizing for not adding more, and left. I checked on my friends who play the game and said hi to Ulty and Jenny's player. I talked with Jenny's player and learned she was doing missions with light roleplaying. I asked if I could join and got a character near their level. We ran a few missions until the group broke up. Then I did some auction house, storage and badge collecting before I switched to melee-ranged Olga. I did two missions on her before I felt tired and stopped to do minimal storage. Next, I began writing in this, but found I was easily distracted by videos. I switched to making notes in this. I also treated overheating, then blood sugar, which both helped the tiredness. I still watched videos, but at least I felt less tired and distracted. Eventually, I stopped and finished notes here without feeling scattered, finished significantly earlier, which is good, since church starts early. I know I won't get there on time, but I hope I won't feel too tired because of getting up earlier to get there before it is over. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 17, 2026

The night before Friday, I got to bed a bit after 1:45 am. Slightly earlier, but not a lot. I do want to get better, but it looks like I may not do so quickly. {small smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me to Kamana Senior Center for my ballroom dance class. I arrived early enough to get in a bit of visiting before we started dancing. We reviewed the steps from last week, and I got two in particular down better. I danced with the teacher, his assistant, two other guys, two or three other gals, and by myself when I didn't have a partner, which I normally do. The assistant showed me two steps beyond what the teacher had shown us. Then I got the teacher to show me those two steps, because I do feel I know them better after he does. I'm pretty happy being two steps ahead of the other beginners. We also have intermediate and advanced students who are way ahead of me. {Smile}

After class, I asked my main nurse to pick up a medication I needed, but Safeway's pharmacy was closed for lunch. So, we went home, and my nurse got them later. I played Cross Stitch World when I was in the car. {Smile}

At home, I got onto my computer. I browsed articles and videos, then read comics. Next, I wrote some of Thursday's daily update. I stopped to go into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and went to my villain supergroup meeting on the melee-ranged Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. I found Seb, Dr. Faustus, and our leader roleplaying when I got there. Our long-time regular and the new gal joined us. We roleplayed inducting the new gal into our group. Then we finished a story arc of mine and started the next in the post-apocalyptic part of an alternate world. Dr. Faustus and the long-time regular disconnected often, so they left in disgust. Seb and the new gal left to roleplay in a bar. I did a series of talk-missions on Olga until I found the next regular mission. Next, I did a hunt on Olga alone, followed by some auction house, storage and crafting on her. After that, I did my beginning of the weekend auction house on her and another character before I went to dinner. During dinner, I read Forward Day by Day, and a began a novel I recently got. {Smile}

After dinner, I read web comics. Then I finished Thursday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I did the beginning of the weekend auction house on one more character. I also talked to someone I haven't seen for years. After that, I did a mission on melee-ranged Olga, followed by more auction house and storage on her. I also talked with Nox on Discord on and off through much of the evening. I shifted to Aneira, my higher-level teen supergroup member, and began a hunt on her. Dennis said hi, and we teamed up. We finished the hunt, then did a mission of mine, finishing a story arc. Next was a hunt, so I suggested we shift to his stuff. We did two of his missions from the same contact before he left for bed. I did some auction house, storage and crafting. followed by the hunt I didn't want to do with Dennis. I had trouble finding the right critters, finishing later than I meant to. Next, I wrote a tiny bit and made lots of notes in this, with one break to check Cross Stitch World. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 16, 2026

The night before Thursday, I got to bed a few minutes before 2 am. I got up around 9 am as usual. at least that's first goal met. {Smile}

During breakfast, I started my online video counselling session. I had no trouble with my insurance this time; I almost never do. It was a good session. We talked about some things that have been on my mind since my creative writing class the day before. I feel better about them now. {Smile}

In the afternoon, my main nurse took me down to my doctor's office. My doctor's eldest son served as my nurse, since the son has applied to medical school, and my doctor's usual nurse is still on a trip. My doctor and I talked about a few different concerns, with some input from my main nurse as well. I am happy my nurse comes with me for appointments. Two extra ears are very welcome, with my severe hearing loss, even with two hearing aids. I like the plans my doctor developed to try next. Afterwards, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

After counselling, I wrote up Wednesday's daily update, with relatively short beaks to browse videos during lunch. Then I read web comics until my doctor's appointment. After we came back from the doctor, I got onto my computer. I read some web comics. Then I sent some notes in Discord, the chat server, before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Dennis came in not long after, but we just talked and fooled around. He showed off a knockback power he'd souped up. Then he asked if I'd be around in half an hour before leaving to take a walk. I worked on getting badges on my eighth best badge collector, increasing her lead on my ninth best badge collector, which is a bit narrow. Dennis returned around my dinner time. We talked just a few minutes before I was called to dinner. {Smile}

I tried to read Forward Day by Day over dinner, but the TV distracted me too much. I read it afterwards, understanding it much more easily. After dinner, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. During this, I had some lower gastrointestinal tract trouble, which passed fairly quickly with the help of the medicine my main nurse found. Then I got onto my computer. I read web comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I checked on my friends who play the game. To my surprise, Dennis was still there. We teamed up and did a couple of his missions before he left for bed. I did a hunt on my own and started a second hunt. Next, kitten said mew. We teamed up and did several of my missions. After a while, Pierogis joined us. We did two more of my missions, though I didn't finish the contact, or the story arc. I squeezed in a tiny bit of writing in this during a lull, and I checked Cross Stitch World during another lull, but mostly concentrated on the game. After we said goodnight, I did a tiny bit of auction house, storage and crafting. Then I made notes in this with almost no breaks. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 15, 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed barely after 2 am. I got up at the usual time, and had some trouble with tiredness... or maybe it was blood sugar. I'm not sure. {smile}

After breakfast, I searched for a form I remembered that Mom's lawyer wanted with the help of my main nurse. We found it, but only my copy was filled out, and not fully. So, I filled it out as best I could, marking what I was uncertain of in pencil. then my main nurse took me down to Mom's lawyer's office. Turns out my financial adviser had filled that out for them, but they took it anyway, maybe to cross check. I also paid the retainer that hires them to get Mom's trust fixed up for my use. I made my first appointment to start dealing with that. It will be online, on my computer, much like my counselling appointments, because the lawyer doesn't come to Hilo anymore. He works out of Honolulu. When we were done, my main nurse took me home. I played Cross Stitch World both down and back. {Smile}

After dinner, my main nurse took me down to the Church of the Holy Cross for my ballroom dancing classes. The first hour was my bolero class. Next came an hour of country 2-step. They both progressed nicely, especially the bolero. I suspect my country 2-step teachers aren't as experienced in teaching as my bolero teacher. It doesn't help that country 2-steps dance style feels a bit different than most other ballroom dances so far. Still, I enjoyed myself, and got a good bit of exercise. When it was done, my main nurse took me home. On the way down, I answered Nox on Discord. At class, I largely charged up my phone. On the way back, I played Cross Stitch World. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After the trip to Mom's lawyer, I got onto my computer. I browsed videos and read comics over lunch. Then I finished writing up Tuesday's daily update. Next, I got into a conversation on Discord, the chat server, with Dennis, Pierogies, and Kitten. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming hoping to join them. Sure enough, when I checked on my friends who play the game, I found them all together, along with Dennis's best friend. I joined them in checking out Dennis's new base. Pierogies soon left, and Dennis's friend left a while later. Kitten, Dennis and I continued to talk. Eventually, we teamed up for a couple of missions of Dennis's before dinner, with me on a moderately high-level character I rarely play. {Smile}

After I got back from my ballroom dance classes, I got back onto my computer. I browsed videos and read comics before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I did a couple of hunts on Aneira, my higher-level teen supergroup member to start the one contact she has before she goes up some more in level. Near the end of the second hunt, I teamed up with Kitten. We did two missions of mine with a talk in between them, beginning a story arc. Next, we said goodnight. I worked on Aneira's auction house, storage and crafting, then did those on a couple other characters, including the one I played before dinner. I took a couple of breaks to write in this. After that, I switched to making notes in this. Then I watched one quick video while shutting down my computer. I finished my evening with The Lord's Prayer, the Prayer of Saint Francis, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 14, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed just about at 2 am - so close I'm not entirely sure if it was before or after, though barely after seems likely... like maybe a minute or less. I got up at 9 am like usual and didn't notice too much tiredness or anything. {Smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me out. First, we tried to find a vet for her sick puppy. They first didn't take pets, so I recommended Valentine's Vet. She tried, but they don't take walk-in appointments. I suggested she make an appointment, in case she can't find anything else. She did, after dropping me off at Kamana Senior Center. She also picked up some over-the-counter medicine and is trying that in the meantime. I hope the dog makes it. {smile}

I arrived shortly before class began. the teacher is introducing something new: one-on-one while we do our small groups. I signed up for today, because I specifically wanted to talk about how to take the story I'm working on. I could do a picture book for younger kids, or a chapter book for older kids... I should have foreseen her answer: she thinks "my own story" is far more powerful than any fiction. She wants me to write about my own snow experiences. I don't see it that way, but she is really teaching us to write memoirs, so of course she wants to see me do a memoir. Maybe I should, but those other stories should be written, too. Anyway, after my class, my substitute relief nurse came and took me home. {Smile}

My housekeeper came, as did her husband. He worked outside, while she cleaned up inside. the house is very much better for their attentions. While I was paying my housekeeper and her husband, I started looking for some books to show her. I found three quickly, but I own seven. A little later, I spotted one near my computer. and found two more under it. That leaves one, which is my favorite in the collection. Worse, they're kind of irreplaceable. I could buy new copies, but these were personally autographed by the author, who has since died. A replacement copy would not have the personalized autograph. I remind myself that book ought to be around here somewhere. {small smile}

Over breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. Then, after I got home from my class, I got onto my computer. I browsed videos and read comics. Suddenly, I noticed the time right before my teen supergroup meeting. I dashed in, barely on time, on Aneira, the higher-level teen supergroup member, while checking on my friends who play the game. I arrived in time to hear a character say goodbye for a few months as she tries to start a career with a particular in-game security force. When she left, the player got another character, who joined us. Next, we did the historical taskforce, but I got pulled away to pay the housekeeper and her husband after the first mission. I came back to find I'd missed an entire mission, and probably more, since they spoke of restarting, and began the third mission. I was still distracted but concentrated better once I found three of the missing books during the third mission. I was more present for the end of that mission, and for the last mission. of the taskforce. After that, the group shifted to roleplaying that went right up to dinner. I left Aneira sleeping, but noticed characters were leaving after that. I read a novel during dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I found the teen supergroup had disbanded. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting on Aneira. Next, I watched some videos before I began writing more of Monday's daily update, taking breaks to read some comics. After that, I barely began this before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Dr. Faustus and Seb said hi. I teamed up with Dr. Faustus on the melee-ranged Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. Seb joined us, and the three of us finished the last villain story arc and contact she has at that level, despite Dr. Faustus disconnecting twice in not many missions, both times as he left a mission. So, he left after the story arc, which was the end of the contact anyway. Seb left at the same time, since it was late. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on Olga. Then I made sure Aneira was done. I wrote some more in this, then collected some badges on my 9th best badge collector, who's just reclaiming that rank. Next, I wrote some more in this before switching to making notes while checking other ranked badge collectors. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 13, 2026

The night before Monday, I got to be a while after 1:45 am. I still got up at 9:00 am. If I get before 1:45 am, I'll consider getting up at 8:45 am. I see advantages to that, but somehow, it's easier said than done. {rueful smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Hilo Daijingu for my first timer's Line Dance class. I got there slightly early, but they'd already started. I quickly joined in. I missed a little later, mainly when I was filling a water bottle, but not much. I really enjoyed the class. After class, my substitute relief nurse picked me up. We ran a few errands, and tried to get popsicles, but they were closed. So, I got a smoothie somewhere else instead. I need to think up other alternatives, since that was a lot bigger smoothie than the popsicles I usually get. Then we went home. I played Cross Stitch World at times during rides both before and after class. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After I got home, I got onto my computer. I browsed videos and read comics over and after lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, but I was slow settling in. I tried hunting without a mission on a character who's good at it until I realized it was getting close to the late-night short, large-group event. I joined and ran it on Valentina, my newest end-game character, who particularly needs one of the rewards. I checked later and realized the second newest end-game character needs it almost as much, but I can only run one at a time. Next, I had dinner with my substitute relief nurse. {Smile}

After dinner, I got back onto my computer and read a comic or two. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. As I was figuring out what to do, Dr. Faustus said hi. We teamed up with me on the mid-level Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. We did my missions until Dennis joined us on a mid-level villain he rarely plays. Then we started doing a mix of Dennis's missions and mine. Next, Seb joined us on Marius, and we continued with Dennis's and my missions until Dennis left for bed. Dr. Faustus left too. After that, Marius went to a bar for some roleplaying, so Olga joined him, but I had trouble getting into the roleplaying on Olga. Eventually, Seb left, so I did, too. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting, first on Olga, next, Valentina. Then I wrote in this. I broke to check Cross Stitch World, set another character working on a badge, and read a comic. Next, I made notes in this. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 12, 2026

The night before Sunday, I got to bed a bit before two. I'm fairly happy with it, but I would have been happier if it weren't before Sunday, when I get up at 1:45 to have a better chance of getting to church before it starts. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to church. We arrived during the announcements. I do feel some relief when those are going. I'm still a little late, but I'm not "really late" if the processional hasn't started. We could see they had more students than usual for Sunday school. They'd pulled two tables together to seat everyone. I think it may have been two families instead of the usual one, but they each brought more than one kid. {Smile}

After the service, I collected lunch - both the main meal and the desserts - and took it to the Cook room where we had a meeting of the Daughters of the King. it was smaller than usual, but we had a good discussion going. When it was over, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

When I got home, I went onto my computer. I browsed videos and started to read comics. Then I paused to quickly add the last bit to Saturday's daily update and share it. Next, I read more comics before I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went back to my computer, and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and chatted briefly with Ulty and Jenny's Player. Then I noticed the last call for the later long, large-group event. Next, I joined the group that was gathering for the late-night short, large group event. I realized that Kitten was in it, and we chatted briefly before the event started. It did three runs instead of the usual two, which was neat. It ended at dinnertime, so I stopped, saying goodbye to Kitten, and promising to return after dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Kitten was gone, but Dennis was there, so I said hi, and we teamed up with me on the character Kitten designed. We did a few missions of mine, opening one contact with one mission, and doing a few things for a second contact. Now, I think all the contacts I really want to do on this character before they go up in level are done. Dr. Faustus said hi, and joined us after a few. Then Dennis left, and Dr. Faustus and I switched to our moderately low-level characters. We did several of my missions, since we're still trying to catch me up to him. then we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on the character I'd just played. then I worked on the auction house, storage and crafting on the character Kitten designed, who I'd played earlier. Then I wrote up almost all of this. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 11, 2026

The night before Saturday, I got to bed around 2:15. Add getting up a couple of times int he night, instead of just once, and my main nurse greeted me with a gentle suggestion that I take a nap. After a leisurely breakfast and getting ready for my day, I did. I got up a little before lunch and felt much better. {Smile}

I didn't go out or get any notable phone calls. I read Forward Day by day over breakfast. When I got up from my nap, I got onto my computer, and browsed articles and videos right over lunch. I segued into reading comics in the afternoon. Then I wrote up Friday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, and said hi to Kitten, but they didn't respond. So, I did a couple of missions by myself on Seameownt, the character they designed for me. Then I did some of the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting before dinner. Over dinner, I read Forward Day by Day again. Partway through dinner, I asked to see the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, and caught a few halaus' performances. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back onto my computer, and wrote a tiny bit in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and finished the auction house and storage on Seameownt. Then I checked my friends again and found that Seb had come on. We talked a bit, and I got Carrie, the character I'd taken to the cafe the night before and started to join him in the bar. However, I ran into Seb's character Marius outside the cafe, taking a smoke break. We started to roleplay, our characters getting to know each other. This continued until Dr. Faustus said hi, explaining they'd finally gotten something together to play again. I found out Seb was busy, so couldn't join us, and pulled out of our conversation in-character. Then I joined Dr. Faustus. We did the last mission needed to unlock a new contact for my melee-ranged, mid-level Olga. Then we started the contact, doing a few of his missions before Dr. Faustus had to leave. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on that Olga, then checked some other characters who've done that recently. then I wrote more in this, taking breaks to check Cross Stitch World, check out some videos, replace a program that didn't work, and check a few conversations on Discord. I almost finished writing this. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {smile}

Daily Update, April 10, 2026

The night before Friday, I got to bed just barely after 2 am. Still working on earlier, but I'm happier it's no later. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my Ballroom Dance: Rhumba class. I was happy to see both old and new faces, especially of folks I recognize from Wednesday night. I'm beginning to feel more like part of a community. We learned several basic and slightly less basic steps. I thought it was good progress for a first class. After class, my main nurse took me home. I played Cross Stitch World part of the way down, and part of the way back. I also looked stuff up on my phone on the way down and chatted with my main nurse on the way back. {Smile}

Back home, I got on my computer. I browsed videos and read comics right through lunch. Then I wrote much of Thursday's daily update, with breaks to read comics. With one paragraph to go, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I went to the villain supergroup meeting early, to find Seb's Marius and our long-time regular already roleplaying. Seb and I had learned from Discord, the chat server, that our leader couldn't make it. We soon learned as well that Dr. Faustus had their computer back but needed to set up more than they could quickly to join the meeting. I talked with our newest member, and they joined us. The four of us did a couple of my missions from a contact. Then I checked my contacts. I realized I needed to unlock at least one more. So, I switched to individual missions for that. After one, the long-term regular left to watch the Artemis crew livestream. Marius thought about leaving, too, but I found one mission that his character should like. Sure enough, he stayed for it, as did our newest member. Then the meeting broke up. I finished writing my daily update, then checked on my friends who play on City of Heroes: Homecoming. Then I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, until I broke to eat dinner while watching the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival with my main nurse. {Smile}

I read Forward Day by Day right after dinner. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I said hi to Kitten, but they were tired, so we just talked while I did a mission by myself on Seameownt, the character they designed. Then I did the auction house, storage and crafting that produced. Next, I checked on my friends who play the game. I talked with Seb, and switched characters to join him in cafe roleplaying. On the way to the cafe he was in, I ran into an old friend, who took me to the cafe. At first, I was mostly quiet. I read what others were saying but wasn't sure what to add. Seb was quiet, too, and eventually left. Then someone asked a question that prompted some roleplaying from me. I got invited to the cafe owner's Discord group and settled in there, especially after the roleplaying disbanded because it was late for everyone, including me. After that, I wrote a little of this, then made notes in this. I took with breaks to check Cross Stitch World, browse videos, and read a short comic. I ended the evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 9, 2026

The night before Thursday, I went to bed just after 2 am. I got up around 9am, as usual. I'm still working to get a little earlier, but it still needs work. {Smile}

At breakfast, I tried to sign into HMSA for my counselling appointment. They couldn't find my plan type and wanted to charge me over $70. I texted my counselor and ended up closing the window and trying again. I had to get a new invite because the first had expired. With a new invite, it worked. They found my plan and charged me nothing. My counsellor could stay a bit late, but not enough to give me a full hour. I think I got around 50 minutes. We had a good session, including help with a situation I needed to resolve online, and other things I've been working on. {Smile}

After counselling, I read comics online, including over lunch. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming to talk with the new gal about some stuff. I also checked on my friends who play the game. After that, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I also checked the in-game auction house and storage. Next, I did some hunts on the moderately low-level character who'd been teaming with one of Dr. Faustus's. When done, I worked on her in-game auction house, storage and crafting. After that, I started some hunts on the older Hobbit, who is mid-level. I broke for dinner while reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}

After dinner I read comics before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I did some more hunts on the older Hobbit. I also chatted with Seb on Discord. Then Dennis said hi. we teamed up and did 2 or 3 of his missions on mid-level to moderately high-level characters before we said goodnight. Then I did some of the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Next, I did more hunts on the older Hobbit before doing auction house and storage on her. I wrote a tiny bit in this. After a break where I checked Cross Stitch World, I made notes in this, pausing to check something in City of Heroes: Homecoming before I finished making notes in this. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 8, 2026

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed a little after 2 am, in part because of getting drawn into watching a long ad with an interesting story. I eventually quit it because of the time, but I'd already spent more time on it than I meant to. I got up at the usual 9am and didn't really need a nap or much rest during the day. {Smile}

Before lunch, my main nurse and I went down to my doctor's office. I asked the receptionist for a prescription for medicine for an UTI, since I seem to have another one. she promised to call one into Safeway. I asked about something for a swollen eye, but I'd need the doctor or this nurse practitioner for that, and they're both on vacation. then my main nurse asked for a new appointment, since the one he made conflicts with one of my dance classes. That the receptionist was happy to help with. After we were done, my main nurse and I went home again. {Smile}

After dinner, my main nurse took me out again, this time to the Church of the Holy Cross, where my Ballroom Dance: Bolero and Ballroom Dance: Country Two Step meet. They both went well. We're still working on basic steps in both dances, but we're beginning to add more variety. Afterwards, my main nurse took me home, quite happy with how I got out, mingled, and exercised. I played Cross Stitch World both down and back. {Smile}

During breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. Then, after the trip to my doctor's office, I got onto my computer. I browsed videos, then comics over lunch. I also started writing more of Tuesday's daily update. I found it hard to concentrate on my update with comics distracting me into the afternoon, but I finally finished. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with the in-game auction house and storage on Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. I began talking with Seb, and we soon teamed up, and did some missions from a, contact, rather than the one-off missions we've been doing. Phonso joined us for the last few missions. The three of us finished the contact right before dinner. {Smile}

After I got back from class, I went back onto my computer. I answered Nox on Discord, the chat server. I also said hi Dr. Faustus on Discord. They replied, letting me know they wouldn't be in City of Heroes: Homecoming that night. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting. Near the end, Seb said hi. We talked, then got together for roleplaying. I began writing in this on the side, then making notes in it on the side. Eventually we finished, saying goodnight. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 7. 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed a few minutes after 1:45 am. I got up at 9 am as usual. That's the best I've managed on a regular night recently, but if I get to bed before 1:45, I'll move my bedtime back a bit. I'd like to move my bedtime back to 8:45 or even 8:30, as long as I don't short myself of being down for 7 hours. {Smile}

Late in the morning, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my Creative Writing Class. I thought it went well. I'm beginning to feel more comfortable making plans for my story closer to what I originally meant for it. That developed a little further in class. I hope it will continue soon. My substitute relief nurse came and took me home after class. On my rides down to class and back, I checked Discord, the chat server, replying to a couple of things. {Smile}

I read Forward Day by Day during breakfast. Then I ate lunch during class. After breakfast, I got onto my computer, and finished Monday's daily update. When I got home, I got onto my computer and checked Discord again. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I worked on the in-game auction house and storage until a stranger asked me to team with them. I joined thinking to explain I couldn't stay, but they asked for help, and something told me they needed it. Despite it being close to my teen supergroup meeting, I said I'd try. I did most of a mission before I realized they were doing a small map the really slow way. By then, they'd gotten three others to help, so I felt better about leaving. I excused myself and went to teen supergroup meeting half an hour late, but I had let them know that I was helping something, which seemed typical for our supergroup. The folks already there insisted I wasn't late, including Ulty, Jenny's Player, Nyxy, the usual guy, the new gal, and a couple of other gals. We started a story-arc made by Nyxy. We did a couple of missions, including one with a long map. Then we finished for the day, going to the supergroup's base to roleplay. Some left as it was late for them. Others left when it did get late for them. I had my character fall asleep for a nap when dinner was ready. {Smile}

After dinner, I had my character wake up. I found that more had left, but not all, so I rejoined the roleplaying. I checked on my friends in lull. The rest left not too long after, one or two to go to bed, and at least two to do other things. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage and checked on my friends who play the game. Then I wrote a little in this until Dr. Faustus said hi while I checked in City of Heroes: Homecoming. I teamed up with him and Seb, with me on Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. We did many individual missions, unlocking two contacts that can be unlocked that way, with a gal who joined the supergroup fairly recently joining our team along the way. We stopped just before unlocking the last contact I can unlock the way we're doing it for now. Seb and I roleplayed afterwards. I also wrote some more in this and made a fair bit of notes in this as well. I also checked on my friends who play the game again, before we finished roleplaying. I got distracted by a long advertisement while shutting down, which didn't help me get to bed earlier. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King.

Daily Update, April 6, 2026

The night before Monday, I got to bed several minutes before 2 am. that's a good time, but I would like to work it a bit earlier. {Smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Aunty Sally's Luau Hale for my first timer's Line Dancing class, but the building was closed. I remembered that it's Merrie Monarch Week, and that I had a list of locations for the session. I looked it up, and it was at the YBA Hall, near Sangha Hall. My substitute relief nurse took me there and recognized the building before I did. Class was already started, but I soon joined them. It went quite well, I think. {Smile}

Afterwards, we ran several errands my substitute relief nurse needed. One of the last was a stop at the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens. I picked out a calamansi cream popsicle, a liliko'i cream popsicle, and a vanilla cream popsicle. I ate the calamansi cream popsicle on the way home. {Smile}

After we got back home, I got onto my computer. I tried to write my daily update but kept getting drawn into watching videos and reading web comics. I finally gave up and went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and started talking with Dennis and Seb before I was done. I ended up joining Dennis on a giant monster hunting team that got several monsters in a row before breaking up just when I was going to quit for dinner anyway. I read Forward Day by Day for both Sunday and Monday over dinner, since I realized I'd missed it entirely on Sunday. {Smile}

After dinner I finished writing up Sunday's daily update. It was long enough I had to take breaks, but I tried to keep them short. When I was done, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, and talked with Dr. Faustus, Seb, and the new gal in both my supergroups. I teamed up with Dr. Faustus and Seb, with me on my higher-level villain supergroup member. Kitten soon joined us. We did several individual missions to unlock contacts. We got one unlocked, and another on the way to being unlocked. Seb left first. then Kitten left when they were too tired. Dr. Faustus left then, too, since it was late. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting on two characters, the one I'd been playing, and one with a long-term crafting project. Then I did a bit of hunting on the gal with the long-term crafting project, followed by a little more storage on her. Next, I wrote much of this. I paused a few times, to read a comic, read part of an article, and check out Cross Stitch World. After the last, I made notes in this. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King.

Daily Update, April 5, 2026

Happy Easter! If you celebrate it either religiously or secularly, that is. If not, I hope you had a nice day. {Smile}

The night before Sunday, I actually got to bed a little before 1:45. I began to set my alarm clock earlier than 8:30 am but chickened out. I didn't want to make myself sick trying to get up too early. I'm unusually sensitive to that. If I get up an hour earlier all at once, I can give myself two days of jetlag-like symptoms. {smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We arrived just before the offertory, which is just before the part with the Holy Communion itself in it. The service was so far along because they started at 9 am instead of 10 am. They did that because their early service was 6 am for a sunrise service, instead of our usual 8 am. I enjoyed the part of the service I was there for and saved the service sheet to read parts I'd missed, especially the lessons. {Smile}

After the service, we had a large lunch on the lanai. Up walked my cousin Babs, and introduced he hanai granddaughter, and another girl. I'm not sure if the second young woman is another hanai granddaughter, or something else. Anyway, we sat together, and visited, though the second young woman left to sit in the car when the crowd got to be too much for her. None of them like crowds, and it was crowded on the lanai. The one who stayed is very interested in becoming an Episcopalian. I put her in touch with our deacon, since we're between priests. After lunch my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

A couple of hours after we got back from church, my main nurse took me to Laurie's and Lindy's house because Laurie invited me and several others to an Easter Dinner party at 2pm. I took the cake platter we got the day before. I ate so much on top of that large lunch earlier that I had to loosen my abdominal binder, a kind of medical corset I wear. I stayed to the end, then called my main nurse who came and got me, taking me home. We promised I didn't stay long after the rest. I think I stayed just long enough to ease the transition to being alone again. {Smile}

I played Cross Stitch World on the way down to church and back. After church, I got onto my computer. I barely browsed on the internet, instead concentrating on writing up Saturday's daily update. Then I read comics until I got ready for the party. I played Cross Stitch World on the way down to the party and back. After the party, I got onto my computer. I read a few comics and replied to Nox on Discord. Then I broke to clean myself up with the help of my main nurse. I skipped dinner and nighttime snacks because I was too full between the two large meals earlier. {Smile}

After cleaning myself up, I got back to my computer, and straight into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started to check on my friends who play the game but got sidetracked into talking with friends pretty quickly. I said goodnight to Dennis, who was getting ready to leave. I said hi to Ulty and Jenny's player. I chatted a bit with Divi, too. I also talked with Dr. Faustus, Seb, and the newest member of our villain supergroup. The last three and I teamed up, with me on the ranged version of Olga, my lower-level villain supergroup member. We did two of my story arcs that are really meant for heroes, but we put a more selfish spin on our actions. Then Dr. Faustus and Seb left, saying goodnight. I talked with the new gal a fair while before we both left because it was late. Next, I wrote a bit of this, then switched to making notes in this. I took one break for Cross Stitch World, and a short break for short comics. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 4, 2026

The night before Saturday, I once again got to bed closer to 2:15 am than I'd like. At least I got up around nine as usual. I was a little tired later, or maybe it was hot. I drowsed on the way out, but had less trouble in air conditioning, and as I tried to cool off a bit. {Smile}

I think I might have a urinary tract infection. I've taken some medicine I have on hand, and plan to call the doctor on Monday. {smile}

A while after lunch, my main nurse and I went out. Our first stop was the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens, where I got a chocolate fudge popsicle. I ate it on the way to Prince Kuhio Plaza, where we walked around four large stores and all the aisles between stores. Then we went to Walmart, where I waited in the car while my main nurse picked up a few things. Next, we went on to KTA, a local grocery chain. We picked out a cake platter where it's all cut and laid out in muffin cups, to be easy for a buffet. We thought I could take it to an Easter afternoon dinner I'm invited to by a couple of friends. After that, we went home. Most legs of the trip were a mix of Cross Stitch World and drowsing, except for the leg where I was far too busy eating that popsicle to do either. {SMILE}

Over breakfast, I read Forward Day by Day. After breakfast, I got onto my computer and browsed articles. Then I tightened a scene in my story. Next, I wrote up Friday's daily update. I read comics over lunch. After that, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and talked with Seb. I also checked the in-game auction house. Then I broke to go out with my main nurse. When I got back, I got back onto computer and into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and talked with Seb some more while checking the in-game auction house. Phonso invited me to a pair of high-level taskforces that ran right up to dinner time. {Smile}

After dinner, I went bac into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, then checked the in-game auction house. Ulty invited me to a friend's-only run of that pair of high-level taskforces. I happily joined, and we ran them. I think we accidentally worked on a badge we all had already. They blamed me for asking for it. I just asked if anyone needed it. I said I had them all already. Anyway, afterwards, the team broke up. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting until Dr. Faustus said hi. We teamed up with me on Hezabell, my higher-level villain supergroup member. We worked on a few of my Hezabell's contacts, including unlocking one, and finding that I can unlock more in an easier way than I feared. Then we said goodnight, and I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting, Next, I wrote a bit in this, then shifted to making notes in this. I took a break to check and play Cross Stitch world, but not for all that long. I browsed articles and videos before I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 3, 2026

The night before Friday, I got into bed closer to 2:15 than I like. However, I didn't get up until around 10:45 am. Yes, that late, I'd woken up, but was lying in bed, waiting for the alarm when my main nurse checked on me when he could. Fortunately, I'd only missed my alarm, not come down with a migraine, blood sugar trouble, or core temperature trouble, all of which tends to be better treated earlier than later. but I was good. {Smile}

I read Forward Day by Day at breakfast, but only once. Usually I wait, and read it again, to help it sink in. After breakfast, I got onto my computer. I browsed videos, largely writing advice videos, not knowing what I was searching for. Then I tried writing Thursday's daily update but kept getting drawn back to writing advice videos until I realized something that's been bothering me about my story. I wrote it up, and shared where I share my updates. Next, I got Olga, the higher-level, melee-ranged Olga, and dashed to my villain supergroup meeting, arriving just on time. Dr. Faustus and Seb were already there. We started to roleplay. Out leader arrived just after me. The other regular member arrived and apologized for being a bit late. We began working on Olga's story arc we'd worked on last week, doing a longer mission. The new member said hi near the end of the first mission and joined us slightly after we'd begun a second and final mission to my story arc. We restarted so she could do the whole mission with us. This finished the arc. I got one of the two badges you can get from that arc. After that, we got ready to do a mission Dr. Faustus had when Dr. Faustus disconnected. They said on Discord they wouldn't bother to try to come back because it was late. Our leader left too, then our long-time regular member left as well. Then Seb, went to roleplay with a friend. The other new member and I joined them in roleplaying our characters meeting and talking until Seb's friend left. Next, we three talked out-of-character until I left for dinner. {Smile}

During dinner, I read Forward Day by Day again. After dinner, I finished Thursday's daily update and read some web comics before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did a little weekend auction house on a few characters. I checked on my friends who play the game and said hi and talked with Seb and Dennis separately. Then I teamed up with Dennis. We did some of his missions. Next, we talked some more before we said goodnight. After that, I said hi to Divi and Ulty. I chatted with Ulty first. Then I chatted with Divi before joining them in an April Fools event league that went for a while, then paused, then did a little more. Next, Divi left, as I did soon after so I could work on the in-game auction house and storage. After that, I hunted on a moderately low-level character, then did a bit more of the in-game auction house and storage. Then I wrote in this and made notes in it, taking a break for a little Cross Stitch World. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 2, 2026

The night before Thursday, I got to bed several minutes before 2 am. I'm relieved I'm back before 2 am. I do think I feel better rested, even if it's just a few minutes. I can't help hoping to move it further back. before the pandemic, I'd worked back to 8 am, which gave me more of a morning to do stuff in, but my bedtime slipped forward during the pandemic, and I'm having a terrible time getting it to move back again. {smile}

I didn't have video counselling because my counselor was unavailable, so I read Forward Day by Day during breakfast, and got onto my computer after breakfast. I browsed videos into lunch, then began writing up Wednesday's daily update during lunch. I took many to read web comics, running well into the afternoon. When I finished, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Next, I went into City of heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I started talking with Kitten. We got together and did a bit of an April Fool's special event before we joined the late-night short, large-group event and ran it. It started early enough, and went fast enough, it ended just before I was called to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I read a few comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I said hi to Dr. Faustus and Seb on Discord. I also talked with Kitten in the game. Kitten and I teamed up and did a bit of an April Fool's event. After that we tried to do a story arc, but we had to restart because my difficulty settings were too high. Also, Dennis had said hi, but Kitten got pulled away, so I did the story arc with Dennis. It took long, but we both got a badge, and Dennis got a second badge I'd asked for on his behalf. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting as well as game money juggling on a few characters. Then I wrote in this. I switched to making notes in this, with breaks for Cross Stitch World, a couple of comics, and a little web browsing. I finished my evening by saying The Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

My daily update will be late... Sorry, but...

 {chuckles} My daily update will be late. There is a reason for this...

I've been watching a lot of writing advice videos recently, and I just realized a problem with the story I've been working on, "Snow in Hawai'i." Whether I read parts of it to folks, or just talk about the story, folks get excited. They talk about loving the relationships in the story and want to see it turned into a picture book for children...

...and that's where I hit a problem. It's not kids who get excited about the story. Kids aren't getting invested in the story. It's grandparents, great-grandparents, and grand- and great-grand- aunts and uncles. That partly shows who I'm around. My creative writing class is strictly for older people. When I enquired before my 55th birthday, they said I had to wait until I was 55 when I registered. The session where I turned 55 a week or two after registration closed, I was too young. I also talk about it at church, where our congregation is largely older. Even there, it's not our "young people under 50" who are getting excited and joining the conversations, let alone our few actual kids. Most of the folks who are getting interested in and even excited about my story are older than me, and I'm 57.

And... I'm concerned. If I really want to make this story appeal to children - and cut it down to a good length for a picture book - I'll have to tighten the focus on the kids, cutting out at least one conversation pretty much entirely, and cutting others drastically back. Which... I'm afraid will lessen the excitement and the investment I see in the folks who currently love the story.

That can't be right, can it? When you find an honest and strong interest in a story, you don't cut that audience off and go court an audience which can't be bothered with it. That... that doesn't scan. It doesn't make sense at all.

Help?

Daily Update, April 1, 2026

I hope you had a good April Fool's Day, and that's no joke. {SMILE}

The night before Wednesday, I got to bed a bit before 2 am. I was hoping for earlier, but I'm happy I was back before two after a few days there. {Smile}

After a slightly early dinner, my main nurse took me down to Holy Cross Church. There, I signed up for Ballroom Dance: Bolero, and Ballroom Dance; Country Two-Step. I met some new folks and reconnected with folks from the last session and other classes. I really enjoyed the night. We learned some simple steps for each of the two dances. Bolero was the same timing as Rhumba last time, but Country Two-step was distinctly different from other dances I've done. My main nurse took me home afterwards. {Smile}

After breakfast. I wrote up my daily update. Then I read comics through lunch and into the afternoon. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming a bit early. I checked on my friends who play the game. Then I started to collect badges on Aneira, my moderately high-level teen supergroup member. the supergroup's new member said hi while I was doing that. We started to talk. I stopped the badges so we could team up to do a story arc she had. Next, we worked on a badge she needed. When that was winding down, we started roleplaying. That stopped abruptly when I was called to dinner. {Smile}

After class, I read a couple of comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game, then got on the higher-level, melee-ranged Olga, who's the lower-level villain supergroup member. I said hi to Dr. Faustus, and we teamed up. We did a story arc that Olga had. Next, we said goodnight. I worked on the in-game auction house and storage on Olga, then Aneira. After that, I wrote a little in this before shifting to making notes in this. I took a few breaks for Cross Stitch World and web browsing, especially videos. I finished my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's Prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}

Daily Update, March 31, 2026

The night before Tuesday, I got to bed a few minutes after 2. It's slipping later again, when I do want it earlier. I'll have to focus on changing it more... and try to fight the tendency to feel there's more time. Because that's part of the problem: I keep thinking in terms of the times I'm used to - the new times, ut that lets me miss them. I need newer times: earlier goals. {Smile}

After breakfast, my substitute relief nurse took me down to Kamana Senior Center for my first creative writing class of the new session. We have some new students, and many returning faces, too. I really enjoyed it, though I do need clearer goals for this story, as well as a pipeline with more stories down the line. {Smile}

After class, I met the secretary of the nursing company in the parking lot at Kamana Senior Center. I paid her for the next month. Then my substitute relief nurse ran an errand before we went to the ice cream parlor in Liliu'okalani Gardens. I picked out two popsicles, sweet potato and chocolate fudge. I ate the sweet potato on the way home. I was in a mood for pulpy, and sweet potato satisfies that far better than chocolate does. {Smile}

Over breakfast, I read forward Day by Day. Then, when I got home after my class and everything, I got onto my computer. I browsed articles and videos on the net. Then I dashed into City of Heroes: Homecoming just before the teen supergroup meeting. At the meeting, I started to roleplay with Nyxy's character, who was sleeping on the floor like she often does. Ulty, Jenny's Player, and a couple of others soon arrived. Somewhere in there I checked on my friends who play the game. They decided to roleplay in a base with fancy pools. We roleplayed a little exploring, then a lot of relaxing and talking. Ulty left early. The rest of the group broke up right around my dinner time. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Monday's daily update. Then I read two comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and talked with Seb. Next, I started collecting badges on the character who is reacquiring the title of ninth-best badge collector, talking with Seb another time or two while I did. I stopped when Divi said hi and invited me to a taskforce with an unusual theme: using a power that's usually very poor but has funny effects that make it work better for a short while in honor of April Fool's Day. Dr. Faustus said hi a couple of times while I was in that taskforce, and Seb said goodnight while I was in it. The taskforce finished about the time that Dr. Faustus and I say goodnight these days, so I worked on the in-game auction house, storage and crafting on that character. Then I did one mission on a high-level character in the early endgame before doing the in-game auction house and storage on her. Next, I did a little writing in this, with a break that included Cross Stitch World. After that I made notes in this, with a break to add an earlier alarm. I ended my evening with the Lord's Prayer, Saint Francis's prayer, and the motto of the Daughters of the King. {Smile}
