They got me there just as the opening was ending, and the readings began, so I got all the Bible readings, the sermon, and the full communion. I found Auntie Barbara and sat with her. {Smile}
After church, we had lunch on the lanai as usual. I sat with Auntie Barbara, and she took me home afterwards. There, she came in to visit with Mom. Mom sang seven songs with Auntie Barbara and me, a good day for her. {Smile}

A while later, two gals came and brought Mom home communion. The nurse and I also got some, since we were there, but it was for Mom. {Smile}

A while after that, I tried to call my aunt Valerie. When A few tries didn't get an answer, I called her daughter, my cousin Kim. I was able to let Kim talk to Mom, though Mom did not speak to the phone. She just looked at it. which I told Kim. She works with older patients who need special care, so she understood, and was happy she'd gotten to talk to Mom. We talked some more, and then she said goodbye, telling me to wait a bit then call her mom after she'd had time to reunite Aunt Valerie with her phone. {Smile}

After a wait, I phoned my Aunt Valerie. The phone refused to work when I tried to let Aunt Valerie talk to Mom, but at least it didn't hang up on us. Aunt Valerie and I had a lovely talk both before and after the try. It worked fine around the living room and that end of the hallway. {Smile}

I even discussed my story and possible sequels with Auntie Barbara and Dark, so it was a productive day there, too. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed interested in the pictures, and even said she liked things when I asked as we went along. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. After that, I finished the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Next, I started _Cats Galore: A Compendium of Cultured Cats_. Then I read "Dick Whittington and His Cat" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 17th of March's poem from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Odd Bird." {Smile}

I did my head exercises and arm swinging exercises while waiting for Uber to come take me to church. Then I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did one of my sitting arms exercises while Dark and I were winding down on City of heroes: Homecoming. Next, I did my two standing arm weight training exercises. The first waws mostly with too heavy a weight, but I did catch it and switch eventually. Next, I did 6 1/2 minutes of salsa dancing. I was puffing enough afterwards that I think it was enough dancing and leg work for today. I finished with my other three sitting arm weight training exercises. {S mile}

I did some Cross Stitch World while I was waiting for home communion to come. Then I finished writing Saturday's daily update between home communion and my phone call with Kim. I did some more Cross Stitch World before calling Aunt Valerie. Then I cleaned myself up after calling Aunt Valerie. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I said hi to Pierogies, and we chatted a bit. I teamed up with Dark, and we did a few missions until it was time to read to Mom.

I began writing this up between reading to Mom and dinner, mainly making notes. I continued making notes and writing this up after dinner. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies, who was just leaving, but we did get to say goodnight. I also found Dark, and we chatted before teaming up. Next, we did a few missions, then paused for a long talk. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server. They headed out early and didn't expect to be back later, so we didn't get to talk. Dark and I eventually did another mission, then talked some more. We eventually said goodnight. I did some paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming, then did my exercises and salsa dancing. I realized that in the future, especially when I'm trying to do more than one set of salsa dancing, doing the paperwork during a break in the exercising would be a more efficient use of my time then doing it before, since I do need to rest occasionally while exercising. I also wrote more of this and made more notes to write from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-66749290845258988202024-03-17T13:31:00.001-10:002024-03-17T13:31:24.809-10:00Daily Update, March 16, 2024
On Saturday, I did a critique in the morning on Critique Circle. I had two credits left from doing previous critiques there, having long used up the few credits they give you for signing up. They charge three credits to submit a critique, and give out 0-2 credits per critique, based on the number of words in the critique. Mine was enough to earn one credit, as they say most are. Then over lunch, I submitted my own. I was lucky that their Children's queue wasn't full, so it will come up for review Monday at no extra charge. Fantasy was full enough, I'd either have had to wait a week, or pay extra. I'm not trying to write for children, but the main characters are children, and readers have said such stories are good children's stories. {Smile}
I also got a text from our housekeeper apologizing for being away so long. She hasn't been well, but she's feeling better. She hopes to come clean our house again soon. I'm just glad she's feeling better again! {SMILE}

I ate breakfast, and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed interested in the pictures, especially the ones of the children with animals. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Then I finished "The Picture Book of Kids and Animals." After that, I read "The Frog Prince" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 16th of March's poem from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Counting Rhyme." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and 4 of my 12 arm-swinging exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my head exercises while winding down after teaming for the evening. Next, I did the rest of my arm swinging exercises, followed by my standing arm weight training exercises. After that, I did my salsa dancing. After the first piece, I wasn't that tired, so I did a second piece for a full 6 1/2 minutes of salsa dancing. Then I was puffing, but that's about twice as much salsa dancing as I did Tuesday and Friday night. I'm afraid I was a bit tired for my sitting arm weight training exercises, but I'm just happy to be able to do more salsa dancing! {BIG SMILE}

I played Cross Stitch World in the morning when thinking about the critique, and again after lunch when thinking about posting my own story. Then I finished Friday's daily update after posting my story at Critique Circle. Next, I cleaned myself up. After that, I got into City of Heroes: Homecoming even later than the day before. I found Pierogies and Michiel quite quickly. We teamed up on high level characters, and did three individual missions together, nicely filling the time before I read to Mom. Then I parked my character in a farm with Pierogies while I read to Mom and ate dinner. I said hello/see you soon to Dark just before leaving. {Smile}

After dinner, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming to find Pierogies had left the farm. He was still doing some paperwork, but he soon finished and said goodnight. I did a little paperwork, then remembered that Dark should already be on. I checked, and both Dark and Michiel were on. I said hi to each, and Michiel particularly wanted to squeeze in a short mission while he had time. We teamed up on high level characters and Dark joined us. Then Michiel left. Dark switched to a higher-middle-level character, while I stayed on that high level character because she gets along with his character in role-playing. We ran a mission or two, and Michiel came back and joined us again. The three of us ran a few more missions. Nox said hi on the chat server, and we talked for a fair while before they left for bed. Then Michiel left for bed, and Dark and I did another mission or two before we switched to talking. We talked a fair while, and eventually we said goodnight and he left. Then I did my exercises and salsa dancing, writing about them in this. After that, I played some Cross Stitch World, did some City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork, and made notes in this update to write from then next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-88336362816571606762024-03-16T14:37:00.006-10:002024-03-16T14:37:55.258-10:00Daily Update, March 15, 2024
On Friday, the nursing company secretary visited for a short talk. They're still planning a longer talk when the owner can come too, but she wanted something in the meantime. It was good to talks and touch bases. {Smile}

I also called my doctor and left a message when I got their answering machine. Further tries didn't get any response, so I'll try again Monday. {smile}

I also called my dentist and left a message with them when an old message came up when I cleared an even older message from my voice mail. They called me back and offered an appointment next month for the follow up to the root canal. I made that appointment. I'm just sorry I didn't find that message sooner. {smile}

I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed interested in the pictures, especially the ones of the children with animals. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. After that, I continued "The Picture Book of Kids and Animals." Next, I read "The Ant and the Grasshopper" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 15th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Dressing Up." {Smile}

My first exercise of the day was my head exercises while Dark and I were winding down after teaming for the evening. Then I did my arm swinging exercises and my arm resistance exercises after he left. Then after a short break, I did over three minutes of salsa dancing. I was breathing a little heavily afterwards, but not as bad as on Tuesday. Then I did my standing arm weight training exercises, and my sitting arm weight training exercises. {Smile}

I finished Thursday's daily update after breakfast. then I read comics and played Cross Stitch World until the visit with the secretary. After the visit, lunch, and phone calls, I read more comics and played more Cross Stitch World. Then I cleaned myself up. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Dr. Faustus, who barely answered, and to Dark, who started chatting. I was happy to see him on early for him, though it was late for me to get on. We teamed up on low-level characters and talked about writing until it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I started writing this up. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, and found Dark, we teamed on the same characters, and talked more about writing. I think we've discovered a shared passion. I missed talking with Nox again and had to make do with saying goodnight when I found they had done so and left for bed. Then Dr. Faustus said hi, apologizing for being busy earlier. Dark and I joined him, and the three of us teamed until Dr. Faustus left. After that, Dark and I talked a bit, then left, too. Next, I started my exercises, with breaks where I wrote this a little. After the exercises, I did a little Cross Stitch World and a little online shopping, as well as making notes in this to write from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-48624326913464811892024-03-15T10:47:00.004-10:002024-03-15T10:47:45.056-10:00Daily Update, March 14, 2024
 On Thursday, I had my video counselling appointment. I think we got something important discussed. {Smile}
I thought a lot about writing and my future, too, while playing Cross Stitch World. {Smile}

I ate lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed to enjoy looking at the pictures, especially the ones of the babies, and the children with animals. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Then I finished "The Happy Book: Babies," and started "The Picture Book of Kids and Animals," which she even said she likes. After that, I read "Little Red Riding Hood" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 13th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Baby Donkey." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and arm swinging exercises after dinner. Then I did my standing arm weight training exercises and my walking exercises, adding yet another exercise to my walking exercises. Before I started physical therapy, I had five walking exercises. With the two I added last week and the one I added tonight, I have eight now. Then I took a short break, and continued by doing my head exercises, my leg exercises, and my sitting arm weight resistance exercises. So, no salsa dancing - it felt too ambitious for the day after physical therapy - but everything else, and even a new walking exercise. {Smile}

I wrote a bit of Wednesday's daily update between breakfast and counselling. After the counselling, I played Cross Stitch World and thought about writing and my future. I also wrote more of my daily update before lunch. Then I finished my daily update after lunch. Next, I played some more Cross Stitch World and thought about writing. I also read some comics before cleaning myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I found Pierogies. He was waiting for the later long, large-group event to start. He suggested I join it too, so I did, and we did the event together. Then we talked afterwards, and I joined him in a farm while I read to Mom, ate dinner, and settled in after dinner. {Smile}

After supper I started exercising and began writing this up. I also read some more comics. I've found a new one about a boy and his cat... or a cat and his boy, depending on which you ask, I'm sure. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I fooled around in Pierogies' farm. I tried to find a friend to team up with, but the few who were on weren't answering, except for Mysty, who wasn't feeling well enough to get together. I considered joining a pick-up-group, which is a team of strangers, but decided to collect badges on my fifth best badge collector instead. Then Phonso came on and invited me to quick taskforce which I happily leapt to join. I do like to team with friends, even if they're making a pick-up-group. Phonso invites many friends, some of whom do join if they're free and have the time, so its friendlier than most pick-up-groups. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server, having missed them again. After the taskforce, I did a fair bit of more badge collecting on my fifth best badge collector. I also read a couple more comics, did most of my exercises, watched a video. Then I wrote a little of this and made a lot of notes to write from on Friday. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-42688847043738492492024-03-14T13:35:00.003-10:002024-03-14T13:35:29.131-10:00Daily Update, March 13, 2024
 On Wednesday, I had physical therapy. I contacted Uber, and they picked Alan, who was only a minute away. I don't remember the last time I had a driver that close. We had a wonderful ride over catching up with each other, since it had been a while since I'd seen him. {Smile}
Physical therapy went well. We started with the machine upstairs that I started each session with last year. Then we went downstairs to use the harness in the channel to challenge my balance. {Smile}

When we were done, I contacted Uber. to my surprise, they got Alan again. He was father away, but it wasn't a long wait. We actually waited longer by an elementary (primary) school we go right past good old E.B. DeSilva. Ever since the pandemic, they've let out around noon on Wednesdays, so I get caught in the afterschool traffic jam. That gave us longer to talk, which was good. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed to enjoy looking at the pictures, especially the ones of the babies. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. After that, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Next, I continued "The Happy Book: Babies." Then, I read "Teh Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 13th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Off to the Moon." {Smile}

I got plenty of exercise at physical therapy today. I was even tired afterwards. So, I don't think I'll even try to do more today, and I'll see how I feel tomorrow. {Smile}

I finished Tuesday's daily update after breakfast, with just enough time to play a little Cross Stitch World before going down to therapy. After therapy, I read comics and played Cross Stitch World over lunch, and a bit afterwards. Then I hopped into City of Heroes Homecoming a bit earlier than recently. I found Michiel, and we teamed up We did one mission of mine - the first in a story arc - before he had to leave for dinner. Then Pierogies came on. We talked for a bit, then he joined me, and we did the next two missions in that story arc before he left, too tired to continue. It was almost time to read to Mom anyway, and he let me park in a farm with him while I read, so arranging that took the rest of the time. {Smile}

After dinner, I came back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, and Pierogies' farm. I found Dark and we started talking. We were getting ready to team up when Pierogies came back. Dark ended up joining us. Pierogies showed Dark a few types of farms while talking about farming, which Dark is not that familiar with. then Phonso came in and asked what we were doing. He didn't feel like taskforces today. He really wanted to join us. So, we four talked about farming as we farmed a bit. I also said goodnight to Nox after they'd left for bed, apologizing for not talking again. Then Pierogies left, being tired, and Phonso left, probably being hungry, since he usually around the time that he left. Dark and I talked about writing a fair bit when we were alone, before we said goodnight... more than once, because he was slower leaving than he meant to be. We both really love talking about writing and stories together. Then I played some Cross Stitch World and read some comics. I ended with making notes to write this from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-29217740921424049232024-03-13T09:48:00.003-10:002024-03-13T09:48:25.568-10:00Daily Update, March 12, 2024
 On Tuesday, I got a phone call from nursing company. It was nice hearing from them. It's reassuring to know they're looking out for us. {Smile}
I texted with Auntie Barbara, too. I'd emailed her a copy of the story I'm working on, but she couldn't open it. So, I sent her another copy by Windows Messenger in a different format. I think she'd sent me a file in that format once, so I'm hoping she can open it. {Smile}

I've been thinking a lot about my writing, too. Enough feels stuck, I need to find another approach to some of this, but that doesn't include the story I'm revising. The thing is, right now that's the only thing that feels ready to move. {smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I got there. She seemed to enjoy looking at the pictures, especially the ones of the babies. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Next, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Then I continued "The Happy Book: Babies." After that, I read "The Little Red Hen" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 12th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Fluff and Silky." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. Then I did my head exercises while waiting for Phonso's taskforce. After the task force, I did a little over 3 minutes of salsa dancing. I was panting afterwards, but I did it! {Grin} I followed that with my arm swinging exercises, and my sitting arm weight training exercises. If I'd worked more at it, I think I could have done my standing arm weight training exercises, too, but it got too late. I don't know about doing the leg exercises or walking exercises after that salsa dancing, though. My legs got more exercise from the dance anyway, I think. {SMILE}

I played a lot of Cross Stitch World while thinking in the morning. Then I read comics over lunch. Next, I finished Monday's daily update. After that I cleaned myself up before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies and Kitten, and the three of us teamed up to get a badge with benefits that the characters we played didn't have. That involved a mission, then hunting outside of a mission while Kitten ran an errand, leaving their character quiet. Next, we did another mission, and a couple of simpler badges. We finished just about time to read to Mom. It feels good to know that our characters have a little more energy now. {Smile}

After dinner, I began writing this up, and played a tiny bit of Cross Stitch World before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten and TheCyberChill in a farm. Kitten tried to invite me, but it's a mission where all the work is after it's technically finished, when new folks can't enter. They took a long time to exit, but I did join them late. They eventually came out, and I think the three of us ran a mission. Then TheCyberChill left for bed. Kitten and I tried to run another mission. Phonso invited us to a taskforce in the middle of it. I tried to finish first, but Kitten went quiet before the end, and I couldn't complete it without them. I ended up quitting and joining Phonso for the taskforce. Then we said goodnight, and I did a little paperwork before working on my exercises. I also read comics, played some Cross Stitch World, wrote a little of this, and made notes to write the rest from the next day. I even got to bed somewhat earlier than usual. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-16017000651618018182024-03-12T13:33:00.000-10:002024-03-12T13:33:05.365-10:00Daily Update, March 11, 2024
 On Monday, I ordered prescriptions at breakfast time. I'd tried the night before, but the pharmacy was closed, and the automated system wasn't working. Yet the next morning, the automated system worked fine. {Smile}
Then I revised the story I'm working on some more. I'm nervous about putting it up, but I also want it to be well polished when I do. I know a couple more polishing steps short of hiring an editor. Since the story will be a free sample of my work, I hope that's reasonable. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake when I got there. She rested at times while I read but did look at the pictures. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. After that, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Next, I finished _Cats on Quilts_. Then I fetched "The Happy Book: Babies," and told her I meant to give it to her on Valentine's Day, but I forgot. I showed her the front cover and read and showed her the first few pictures. Next, I read "The Wild Swans" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 11th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Lily's Bell." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and 2 of my 7 leg exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my head exercises, my arm weight training exercises, my other five leg exercises, my arm swinging exercises, my walking exercises, and my standing arm weight training exercises after teaming for the evening. {Smile}

I played Cross Stitch World int he morning after the phone call, then switched to reading comics over lunch. then I finished Sunday's daily update and cleaned myself up before hoping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started talking to Dr. Faustus. He was visiting with a friend, and said he'd be free in a while. Then he suddenly invited me to join them, since the friend wanted to see the base of the group my villain joined. We did, and saw two more bases that Dr. Faustus has, then started to tour a public base but I had to leave partway through to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I found Kitten and dark right away. We talked a little and teamed up. We did a couple of my missions. Then Phonso came on, said hi, and invited us to a taskforce. We joined and ran it. I also said goodnight to Nox twice because they got into reading a story and didn't leave the first time. After the taskforce, Phonso wanted to run a trial, so we did. Dark had been planning to leave before, but it was short enough, they stayed for it, then left soon after. I also had a nice talk with Phonso, mostly about a part of the game he knows a lot more about than I do. Yes, this game is quite complicated enough, there are still parts I barely know. then I did my exercises, played Cross Stitch World, read some more comics, and wrote a little of this, though I mainly just made notes to write from the next day for most of it. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-66943960685477025462024-03-11T11:17:00.001-10:002024-03-11T11:17:07.336-10:00Daily Update, March 10, 2024
On Sunday, after breakfast, I contacted Uber. a gal came, and we had a nice chat on the way down, with church and the story I'm working on as major topics. {Smile}
I got to church during the announcements that precede the service proper. Then I had lunch with Auntie Barbara. She wanted to go to Island naturals on the way home. I got some pumpkin seeds, and she got a whole bunch off, because second Sunday is Customer Appreciation Day, when anything that's not already on sale is 15% off. {Smile}

Then she took me home and came in to visit with Mom. As always, I joined them. We sang, but Mom was slower and more reluctant to join in than usual. I guess she was having a slow day. {Smile}

I did revise my story a little before bedtime. Then I sent it to two friends who've offered to read the latest version. It's good to know I got something done with it. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was resting when I got there but did perk up when the nurse and I told her I was ready to read to her. She seemed to enjoy the pictures. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. After that, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. Next, I skipped over "the Steadfast Tin Soldier," and read "Cinderella" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. lastly, I read the 8th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "White Arrow and the Jaguar." {Smile}

I did my head exercises, my arm swinging exercises, and a little bit of walking while waiting for Uber to take me to church. I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my sitting arm weight training exercises, my walking exercises, my leg exercises and my standing arm resistance exercises. That's all I'm supposed to do beyond the 20 minutes of salsa dance or 30 minutes of walking. I didn't get anywhere near that much walking in before church, but I'm still happy to have done this much.

After Auntie Barbara left, I played some Cross Stitch World. Then I wrote up Saturday's daily update before cleaning myself up. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies, and we talked while he finished up the later short, large-group event. Then we slipped in two individual missions before it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I began writing this up. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming where I found Dark. We talked, and then Dr. Faustus invited me to a trial with the villain supergroup. He said my friend could come too, so Dark and I joined it. Dr. Faustus sat it out because someone had to, and he's done it plenty. Then Dark and I joined Dr. Faustus and Dr Faustus's and my mutual friend in a story arc. I also said goodnight to Nox, chatting a little in doing so. After the story arc, the group split up. Our mutual friend said goodnight and headed off to bed. Dr. Faustus said goodnight and found another group. Dark and I talked some more before they went to bed. Then I did my exercises, and some paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming. I also did a little online shopping, played a little Cross Stitch World, revised my story as I mentioned earlier, and made notes to write this up from. {Smile}
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-64664435339226696972024-03-10T14:53:00.001-10:002024-03-10T14:53:08.902-10:00Daily Update, March 9, 2024
 On Saturday, I did a lot of thinking about my writing. Then I started revising the story again. It's good to get back to it. I
I also needed more electrolytes again in the afternoon, but this time I recognized and treated it before I had too much trouble. {Smile}

I had a phone call in the evening with Auntie Barbara. We touched bases and planned to get together at church and lunch after church the next day. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was resting when I got there, but perked right up when the nurse and I told her I was ready to read to her. She looked at the pictures with a little prompting. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. Next, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Then I continued _Cats on Quilts_. After that I read "Jack and the Beanstalk" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. Then I read the 8th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Playful Rhino." Mom said she didn't like it, and I didn't want to end on something she didn't like, so I read a random page from _Cats on Quilts_. {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and my arm swinging exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I did my head exercises, my sitting arm weight training exercises, my leg exercises, and my walking exercises before I got too tired, and it got too late to continue. {Smile}

I read a few articles and did a lot of Cross Stitch World in the morning and around lunch. I don't feel as bad about the Cross Stitch World, because I did it while I thought about my writing. That makes it more productive, and less of a plain old time-sink. After that, I wrote up my daily update. Then I cleaned myself up before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There I found Dark. We chatted, and then we decided to team up. He was running a particular kind of character at a particular level. I happened to have one of that kind of character really close in level, so I got mine. We teamed up and did his missions until it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I started to write this up. Next, I did a little Cross Stitch World, then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dark and Pierogies on. Pierogies was too tired to team, or even talk as much as we'd hoped. Dark was on a low-level character. I got an even lower-level character, and we teamed up, doing my missions. Near the end we switched to talking, mainly about characters and story ideas. I'm delighted to discover he writes, too, and enjoys brainstorming, as well. Eventually we said goodnight, and I did what exercises I could, plus a little City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork and writing notes to write this up from. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-7628263616542151582024-03-09T13:18:00.001-10:002024-03-09T13:18:06.378-10:00Daily Update, March 8 2024
 I slept on my back most of the night, trying to give my arms and shoulder some support. Today, they seem to be much better. I hope the support, plus a good dose of electrolytes yesterday did the trick. {Smile}
I ate breakfast and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was asleep when I got there, but woke up easily, and looked at the pictures with a little prompting. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. After that, I continued the long family Christmas letter from her niece from 2019. Next, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. Then I read "The Golden Goose" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with the 8th of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Mrs. Ferret's Breakfast." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I tested my arm swinging and arm weight training exercises after dinner, to see which my arms were ready for. Next, I did my arm swinging exercises while waiting for Phonso's second taskforce. After the task force and the zombie apocalypse that followed, I did one of my sitting arm weight training exercises, then, after a break, tried the other three sitting arm weight training exercises and the two standing arm weight training exercises, but my arms and shoulder aren't ready for any of them yet. Then I did my walking exercises, all seven, including the new ones. Then after a break, I did my standing exercises. I didn't increase the repetitions notably, but I am up around where I usually was before the root canal. {Smile}

I played Cross Stitch World in the morning and wrote Thursday's daily update after lunch. Then I cleaned myself up, and still got into City of Heroes: Homecoming much earlier than Thursday. I saw Rivka on, and we teamed up. I introduced them to some individual high-level missions with two particularly good rewards a day. We ran two. Late in the second, Dr. Faustus invited me to a meeting of the urban fantasy villain group. I asked if Rivka could come too; he said yes. So, we joined the group after the second mission. They were almost ready to run a story arc, so we got right in on it. We got done just in time for me to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I started to write this up. Then I did a little Cross Stitch World before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Not many of the friends I team with often were on, and those that were on were already on full teams. So, I said hi to a friend I hadn't talked or teamed with in a while. We got together on low-level characters and did some of my missions; I had a bunch I'd begun to out-level that weren't quite too low to be rewarding. Phonso joined us near the end. We got all the old missions done and started newer ones. Then the friend I'd started with left, and I asked Phonso to do a taskforce. He is good at leading those, with all the practice he has. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server. Then I asked Phonso for a second taskforce, and Pierogies came on just in time to join us. We ran that one, and Phonso and I said goodnight. Pierogies tried to, too, but he and I both ended up staying for the zombie apocalypse that followed our second taskforce, since for once it happened in the zone we were in. The zone is random, so it's usually some other zone. Then I did my exercises, some paperwork, a little Cross Stitch world, watched a video, and made notes to write this from. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-50675169167890319712024-03-08T12:59:00.002-10:002024-03-08T12:59:14.226-10:00Daily Update, March 7, 2024
 Thursday morning, I was getting ready to find an electrician to fix the dining room light when I realized that I'd missed a crucial step: making sure it was the light, not the bulb. With the relief nurse's help, I determined that the light bulbs we tried the night before didn't work in a floor lamp that had a working bulb. I got a working bulb screwed into the main dining room light. I thought I had another working bulb, but three bulbs I tried in the lamp that had started with the working bulb didn't work. The working bulb was now in the most important light in the room, so I stopped there, and ordered more bulbs from Amazon. I also put the non-working bulbs in a bigger box that can hold them all, and labelled it, to prevent me thinking they work in the future.
I also developed a sore left upper arm and shoulder Wednesday night. I wasn't paying attention to it enough to put it in yesterday's daily update, but it made itself better known overnight. but i think it encouraged me to sit quietly and not use it, even thought that meant getting none of my other plans for the day beyond dealing with the light bulb done. Well, until the relief nurse came in at 2 to point out that I hadn't had lunch yet.

I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake and looked at the pictures with a little prompting, but my shoulder gave me so much trouble trying to hold pictures over the bed rail, which was raised, that I got up in the middle and asked the relief nurse to lower it. She did but explained that Mom had been leaning to that side, which is why she'd put it up. That's fine, but while I was reading, I really needed it down with my bad shoulder. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I started the long family Christmas letter from her niece form 2019. Then I continued _Cats on Quilts_. After that, I read "Tom Thumb" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_. I ended with a story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, the 6th of March's story, "What am I?" {Smile}

I did my head exercises, my leg exercises (with increasing repetitions still), and my walking exercises after I finished teaming for the evening. I even added two new walking exercises inspired by Wednesday's physical therapy. I didn't do any arm exercises because of my sore arms and shoulder plus the late time getting started. {smile}

After breakfast and working out the light bulb situation, I sat down to play a little Cross Stitch World. Next thing I knew, the nurse came in and said it was 2 pm, and I hadn't had lunch. I had lunch, then wrote my daily update. Then I cleaned myself up and hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I found Kitten in a farm with a friend. I joined them, both chatting and playing. Then Pierogies joined us, waiting for us to come out of the mission, since it had technically ended before he joined, and they don't let people enter a mission after it's over. We slipped in a last-minute individual mission before I broke to read to Mom. {Smile}

After diner, I began to write this up. Then I did a little more Cross Stitch World, but not too much, I hope. Next, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming and found Dr. Faustus. He was busy with paperwork while he waited for a friend to finish a late-night long, large group event. I need to look into if those are a regular thing now. They didn't used to be, but the server grew when it became fully legitimate, so maybe there are enough to do one now. Anyway, I teamed up with Dr. Faustus and a mutual friend. We did a story arc I was just the right level to do without using time travel, which doesn't allow adding players mid-story-arc. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat world. We missed a chance to talk again. Then Dr. Faustus, our mutual friend and I started a sequel story arc. Phonso came on and joined us. Then our mutual friend left. We finished the story arc and said goodnight. Then I did my exercises, checked out an article online and made notes to write this from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-76437685482999307662024-03-07T15:22:00.004-10:002024-03-07T15:28:37.390-10:00Daily Update, March 6, 2024
 I started physical therapy again Wednesday morning. this started by contacting Ube. they were several minutes away, so I called the public library's central number, and tried to ask what "valid proof of current mailing address was, since it looked like I was supposed to go to the circulation desk with that among other things to renew my library card. Except the person I was talking to said if I just needed it renewed, not replaced, they could do that over the phone. Uber arrived int eh middle of doing so and started to take me over. It was a driver I know, so we had a nice talk once the phone call was over.
Then I had a very quick time signing stuff to get the paperwork for starting this sorted, and a pleasant rest before physical therapy. They had me go downstairs. We talked about my balance and such and they had me do some exercises to challenge it. Roughly half the time I was in a... contraption. It looked like and may even have been a parachute harness, but it was attached to a channel in the ceiling, so it would catch me if I overbalanced, which I did because were definitely pushing the envelope of my balance's ability to keep me upright. When they were done, I contacted Uber, and they took me back home. There was no phone call on this trip. {Smile}

Then Wednesday evening, I noticed the dining room light was out. I called the relief nurse, who came a day early this week, and she tried replacing it, but it still didn't turn on. I figured I'd have to find a repairman int he morning. {smile}

I ate lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. The relief nurse is here a day early this week. Mom was awake and looked at the pictures with a little prompting. She didn't say much, but she doesn't have to. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I read and showed the pictures with card from her cousin's granddaughter, her niece, and a friend. After that, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. Next, I read "Alladdin" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, skipping over "Peter and the Wolf" before it, and "the Flying Trunk after it, because I didn't think she'd like them as much with their less than happy endings. I finished with a story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, the 6th of March's story, "The Last Egg" {Smile}

All my exercise was at physical therapy Wednesday, and not a one of my standard exercises was done in the normal way. {Smile}

I played cross stitch world while waiting in the waiting room before physical therapy, and also after lunch. Then I checked out a library eBook I want to read and started reading it. Next, I finished Tuesday's daily update, then cleaned myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I found Pierogies. He was very much in the mood for the characters who have trouble teaming in many groups, and for a particular zone, so we got the characters and did those until he left. Then I did a little paperwork, said hi to Dr. Faustus, and left to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I started writing this up, then did more Cross Stitch World and read more of the library eBook. Only then did I hop into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Rivka, who left shortly, and Azurette, who answered, but was busy, also to Pierogies, who was slow to respond, and to Dr. Faustus, who was busy at first. So, I started soloing. then Pierogies said hi and tried to join me. The zone I was in was having maintenance that prevented him from joining me, which is new. I finished a quick hunt and joined him in an open zone. We were still getting going when Dr. Faustus said he was free and joined us. Pierogies was getting tired, but we three did a mission. Then Pierogies left for bed, and Dr. Faustus and I did several more missions over the evening. I also talked to Nox on the chat server. Dr. Faustus and I eventually said goodnight. After that, I did paperwork, played Cross Stitch World, read more of the library eBook, and made notes to write this up from. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-29284352346048423422024-03-06T14:13:00.003-10:002024-03-06T14:13:27.756-10:00Daily Update, March 5, 2024
 On Tuesday, I did a lot more thinking this morning, mostly while playing Cross Stitch World. It is good for thinking. It keeps me from being completely idle without needing all my attention. {Smile}
I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. the nurse warned Mom was tired, but she looked at the pictures with a little prompting. She didn't say much, but she doesn't have to. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I read and showed the pictures with a card from her sister, and a letter from a friend. Next, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. Then I read "Sleeping Beauty" in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_ I got all the way through it this time. Lastly, I finished with two stories from _366 Stories for Bedtime_. I read the 4th of March's story, "Phillip's Dream" first. Then I finished with the 5th of march's story, "Who Am I?" {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and my arm swinging exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then after I finished with City of Heroes, I did my leg exercises, my head exercises, my walking exercises, and my sitting arm weight training exercises. No, I didn't get my standing arm weight training exercises before it got too late to dot hem after a rest I needed, but the walking exercises are more exercise, so this was still an improvement over last night. {Smile}

I read comics over breakfast and a bit afterwards, Then I found myself going to Cross Stitch World while I continued to think things through from yesterday. That took me through lunch. Next, I started to write up Monday's daily update. After that, I cleaned myself up. Then, I realized I hadn't finished writing up Monday's daily update, so I finished that. Only after that did I hop into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I found Pierogies, and we chatted while we did a couple of his missions. Then he left, and I did paperwork and solo hunts until it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I started writing this, then hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I stumbled upon an unusually late long, large-group event, and joined it with a character who got the last special badge it gives, along with more typical rewards. A few of the members started hunting giant monsters. Since I was on my favorite type of character for that, I happily went along. We did a few monsters, then Pierogies came back on and joined us. We got a couple more monsters, and our leader and over half the team left. However, a new leader and few of us - including Pierogies and me - continued hunting giant monsters. A few others joined, including Dr. Faustus. I also discovered that Nox had left for bed early. Then Phonso joined us for a few more monsters, and Dr. Faustus sort of took the lead towards the end. Next, the group mostly broke up. It was down to Phonso, Dr. Faustus, and me when I suggested we do a taskforce. Phonso picked the quickest of the specials this week, recruited some more members, and we did it. Then we said goodnight. I did a little paperwork next, and then did what exercises I could in the time left. (If I'd slipped that paperwork into a break, I could probably have gotten the other exercise I wanted to do done. After that, I read a couple of comics to wind down, and wrote a little of this and made notes to write from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-62316466093231895732024-03-05T16:03:00.008-10:002024-03-05T16:12:32.429-10:00Daily Update, March 4, 2024
 On Monday, I meant to work on my story, but somehow, I ended up just relaxing instead. Well, not relaxing; I did a lot of good, hard thinking about things, but they didn't really include my writing directly, so I'm not going to count that as writing. I guess I'll do more work on it another day. {smile}
I ate with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake, and she looked at the pictures, though she didn't say much. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I read and showed the pictures with cards from her her niece, our financial adviser, a friend, and her cousin. then I continued _Cats on Quilts_. After that, I started to read a story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "Sleeping Beauty." But the nurse interrupted us because he really needed to change Mom then. So, I didn't finish, nor did I get to today's entry from _366 Stories for Bedtime_. I'll just have to catch up some other day. {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises and my leg exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner with her. Then I did my arm swinging exercises, head exercises, and sitting arm weight training exercises after teaming for the evening. {Smile}

Starting over breakfast, I checked out some comics. A series I very much, The Cursed Princess Club, had posted its finale. I checked it out, and a chatty follow-up from the author themselves, thanking folks for their help in producing the comic. I was happy to see the author plans to do more in that world, though at the moment, she's too busy reformatting the bookstore versions, for those who prefer bound or eBook. After that, I did Cross Stitch World most of the morning, and over and after lunch when it wasn't comics. Awhile after lunch, I finished the day-before's daily update. Then I cleaned myself up later than usual. After that, I did a little more Cross Stitch World. It lets me think while I play, since it takes so much less concentration than City of Heroes or other role-playing games. Also, I realized that game cash rewards are greater with small than extra-small, so now I'm trying to test medium. (The next morning, I learned that small-end medium isn't that much bigger than large-end small.) Eventually, I did hop into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I talked with Pierogies. He helped me begin to sort out all those thoughts I'd been busy with earlier. then we teamed, though we only had time for one individual mission before I left to read to Mom. Just before I left, Dr. Faustus invited me to an open house. I said I was leaving but would check when I got back. {Smile}

After dinner, I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. The open house had just closed, but Dr. Faustus teamed up and helped me with a story arc. Then he led me through an earlier story arc that he felt was related. That was a nice one, as was the solo mission he directed me to, tough that took two tries because my settings were too hard the first time, and I wasn't fully prepared. After that, Phonso invited us to a taskforce, which we joined and ran together. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server. Then I did some paperwork, and my exercises, followed by more Cross Stich World. I also looked for a book to borrow from the public library, but when I tried to check it out, I learned my card is expired. I'll have to go down to get it replaced, apparently. I also wrote this up, mostly taking notes to write from the next day. {Smile}
Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-55077947236158464492024-03-04T14:45:00.001-10:002024-03-04T14:45:14.131-10:00Daily Update, March 3, 2024
On Sunday Morning, I got a phone call from Melanie, my former voice teacher. She was going to church and offered to pick me up. unfortunately, she meant right then, and I hadn't even begun breakfast, so I had to decline. I'm not one of those people who can skip a meal without making myself all too sick. {rueful smile}
After breakfast, I contacted Uber, and they came and took me to church. I did see Melanie in the congregation, but she left before I got to say hi, never mind talk. Well, maybe next time. {smile}

I had lunch with Auntie Barbara, who took me home afterwards. She came in to visit with Mom, who was slow to start singing. it took a few tries to get her going, but when she finally started, we got her sing a few songs. {Smile}

I ate with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was awake, and she looked at the pictures, though she didn't say much. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. Then, I read and showed the pictures with cards from her cousin, her niece, and me. After that, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. Next, I read a story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "The Nightingale." She said she liked that one, which was a relief, especially after she wasn't happy with yesterday's story in that book. Lastly, I finished with the 3rd of March's poem from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Five Little Pigs." {Smile}

While waiting for Uber before church, I did my head exercises and my arm swinging exercises. Then I did my arm resistance exercises and my standing arm weight training exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. then i did my sitting arm weight training exercises and my leg exercises after I was done with City of Heroes: Homecoming for the evening. No, I couldn't add the walking exercises yet, but I did add more reps to many of the leg exercises. {Smile}

I did some Cross Stich World after Auntie Barbara left, to unwind, then wrote up the day before's daily update. Next, I cleaned myself up, then did a little more Cross Stitch World before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I saw Pierogies and said hi. We ran two individual missions. Then we switched characters to try a new combination. It looked promising, but we ran out of time before we got it working well. So, we said goodnight, and I went to read to Mom. {Smile}

I started writing this up as well as slipped in two exercises between reading to Mom and dinner. Then I wrote more after dinner and played some Cross Stitch World before I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dark doing a mission on the same character he roleplayed the previous night. I got the same character I'd used the previous night, and we did some mission-roleplaying for most of the evening. I also chatted briefly with Nox on the chat world before saying goodnight. Then I teamed up with Dr. Faustus for a couple of spring missions, since they're still going. I also read comics, did some paperwork on City of heroes: Homecoming, did a couple more exercises, and made notes for this before bed. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-74927388388047412612024-03-03T13:10:00.004-10:002024-03-03T13:10:39.920-10:00Daily Update, March 2, 2024
 On Saturday, I revised the story again. Then I went through, accepting most of the changes, and revising where something clearly was messed up. I could keep revising, but I think I'm to the point of diminishing returns with revising. So, I started looking around for ways to get a bit of input, because it really helps to have someone else read it over. Somehow as the writer I sometimes read what I meant to write, not what actually ended up on the page. Anyone else is more likely to read what's actually there and catch stuff I keep missing. {Smile}
I ate breakfast and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake, and she looked at the pictures and even commented sometimes. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. Next, I read and showed the pictures with cards from her cousin's granddaughter, both of her sisters, and me. Then I continued _Cats on Quilts_. I ran into a few phrases about cats dying and left them out. Mom really doesn't process death well these days. Then I read a story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "How the Leopard Got his Spots." She said towards the end that she didn't like it. I wasn't sure how to respond, so I kept reading, then went on to the next. That was the last for today, the 1st of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "the Rainbow." {Smile}

In between reading to Mom and eating dinner, I did my arm resistance exercises and my standing arm weight training exercises. Then I did my head exercises, my sitting arm weight training exercises, my arm swinging exercises, and my leg exercises later in the evening. After the last leg exercise, I was breathing heavily for a bit, but I was a nice level of tired. I hope to add the walking exercise before I start physical therapy on Wednesday. {Smile}

In the morning, I read an article or two, did a little bit of Cross Stitch World, revised the story, and caught up on some comics I neglected this week, not necessarily in that order. I revised the story some more after lunch, then asked some friends to look it over, since I know I miss some crazy stuff to miss. Dad thought most writers do, because they know what they meant to write, and see that, instead of what they actually wrote sometimes. Then I cleaned myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I said hi to Pierogies. We tried to get Kitten's attention, but they went quiet and then offline. I suspect they fell asleep; I know they've been very busy recently. Anyway, Pierogis wasn't feeling that great, but wanted to do a couple of individual missions, so we did. Then he went to bed because it hadn't been a good day, and I did a little badge collecting, and said hi to Dark, who was just coming on as I was getting ready to leave to read to Mom.

After dinner, I began to write this up. Then I hopped back into Coty of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dark, and we got together for another private RP session. That took most of the evening, though I did talk to Nox on the chat server a bit, too. I also briefly confirmed with Owl Girl and Nox that they'll look over my story and let me know what they think. I asked Kitten to look it over, too, but they're entirely too worn out for that. that's why I tried to ask more than one friend. When Dark and I were done, I worked more diligently on my exercises, and did a little paperwork in City of Heroes: Homecoming as well as Some Cross Stitch World to wind down. I actually got to bed a little earlier, though I still have to work on that. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-62397562916789776242024-03-02T11:23:00.001-10:002024-03-02T11:23:14.559-10:00Daily Update, March 1, 2024
 On Friday, the nursing company secretary picked up check for the next month. We had a short talk, mainly about talking more in a week or so. {Smile}
I did revise the story more. I need to clean it up a bit, and probably run it by a critique group. As an author, I have one huge disadvantage when editing my own work: I know what I meant to write. When I read it, there's a tendency to read what I meant to say, even if that's not quite what was there. Anyone else is stuck reading what I actually wrote, so they will catch errors I miss until they're pointed out to me. {rueful smile}

I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake, and looked at the pictures when they came up. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Then I read and showed the pictures with a Christmas card from a friend, and birthday cards from a cousin and a sister. After that, I continued _Cats on Quilts_. I realized the big blocks of text were past, at least for a while, and read more of the text that was there. Next, I read a story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "Rapunzel." I ended with the 1st of March's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Chico's Army." {Smile}

In the evening, I did my head exercises, arm resistance exercises, arm swinging exercises, sitting arm weight training exercises, and standing arm weight training exercises. I wasn't as tired as the day before, though I didn't feel so energetic I wanted to try more. {smile}

I spent the morning playing Cross Stitch World. I expected the secretary to come sooner than she did and didn't want to be in anything hard to drop. Eventually I realized how much better I could have used my time and squeezed in finishing the day before's daily update before lunch. Then I played a bit more Cross Stitch World while waiting for the secretary after lunch. That wasn't too long a wait. After she left, I cleaned myself up. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Very quickly, Dr. Faustus said hi and invited me to a meeting of the villain SG he got me into. I switched to that character and attended the meeting. We were mostly chatting, though I did much more listening than talking, myself. I chatted with Pierogis privately when he come in and let him know about my SG meeting. The supergroup ended the meeting by playing one of the new story arcs for villains that was recently released. Then the group broke up, and I went to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I hopped on my computer, and started writing my daily update before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. In the game, I found Darkthough1. We started to chat, then got together for a private roleplaying session. Dr. Faustus messaged me about a mission, but I told him I was busy roleplaying. I did chat with Nox on the chat world. Then Radio joined us, since we were in the shared chat. Phonso asked if we were doing something he could join, but I explained it was just private roleplaying. Meanwhile, I kept roleplaying with Darkthough1. Eventually we wound down and said goodnight. After they left, I said hi to Dr. Faustus, who was still on, but he was just leaving. So, I soloed on the character I was on, going through a few talk-missions that are really best soloed, and one hunt that I could do by myself. Then I did a little Cross Stitch World and made notes to write this update from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-356459678069251962024-03-01T11:59:00.001-10:002024-03-01T11:59:21.922-10:00Daily Update, February 29, 2024
 Thursday morning, I had a video appointment with my counselor. it went very well. We finally focused on a problem I've been breaking parts off of to make smaller. it's still not easily manageable, but it feels good to finally begin to tackle the biggest elephant in the room, instead of acting like it isn't there. {small smile}
I also got a phone call from our former nurse. It was quick, delaying a meeting because his day was not working out as planned. I was sorry to hear about the difficulties, but it was nice to talk to him. {Smile}

I ate lunch and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. Mom was awake but put her head down until there were pictures to look at again. Then she looked at all the pictures. Nox wondered if she found my voice soothing or something. I hope so. That's as nice an explanation as I can think of. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I read and showed the pictures of cards from a cousin and both sisters. Next, I started _Cats on Quilts_, kind of. There's a lot of text to read in there - more than i think Mom would enjoy. So, I read the captions that told about each picture, showed her those pictures, and read a poem when I spotted one, too. That seemed to work well enough. Then I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "Hansel and Gretel." I ended with the 29th of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The New Baby." {Smile}

I did my head exercises, arm swinging exercises and arm resistance exercises after dinner. Then I did my standing arm weight training exercises and my sitting arm weight training exercises. I hoped to do more, but I got tired at the end of the sitting exercises and didn't recover fast enough. I guess I really am still recuperating from getting the root canal finished. Well, I did enough more today, I can hope to do even more tomorrow. {Smile}

Between counselling and the phone call, I did some Cross Stitch World. I did more after lunch, then wrote up the day before's daily update before cleaning myself up. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I spotted Owl Girl, and they responded before I said hi to anyone else. We chatted a bit before I asked about joining them. They happily added the character I was on to the team, but I left to make a new character, and ended up converting a character I've had for a while that I haven't really cared for enough to play. I tweaked it to fit the group's owl theme, and Owllina got added to their owl-themed supergroup. We ran a few missions. Then some players left for various reasons, including Owl Girl. I stayed on for one or two more missions before leaving to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner and a few exercises, I did a little Cross Stitch World and began writing this up and making notes before settling into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I said hi to Michiel and Rivka. Michiel seemed less chatty, but Rivka was just finishing up with a group. They mentioned they had a character who had just reached 50, where the game changes rather dramatically. I know a story arc which is a bit of a tutorial about the way it changes, so I introduced them to the contact, and we did the first couple of missions. Then they needed to go to bed, so I made sure they didn't mind spoilers about what is coming up and told them about something coming up in their arc, and two more arcs to get into this part more. Then we said goodnight, and I looked around. I saw Dr. Faustus on and said hi. I noticed he was on a low-level character and found out what content he was doing. Then I found a character who was just behind him in content. We teamed up, backing up for me to catch up with him, then finishing the story arc together. Then he said goodnight. After that, I played Cross Stitch World, did a couple more exercises, made notes in this, did a tiny amount of paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming, and chatted briefly with Mysty, joining her for a tiny bit of roleplaying. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-71513368856633747232024-02-29T13:43:00.001-10:002024-02-29T13:43:07.557-10:00Daily Update, February 28, 2024
 I finally got a phone call from Life Care Center's outpatient physical therapy Wednesday morning. They finally have an opening for me. It's not with the therapist I saw all last year I'll miss him, since we'd worked up a rapport. Instead, it's with a different therapist Wednesday morning next week. I took it, since I've been waiting months to hear from them. I was wishing I'd mentioned it to my doctor the last time I saw him, but now I'm glad I waited. {Smile}
I just hope I'm up to it when I start. I've been taking it easy, with some exercises, but no revising or writing beyond the usual daily update writing. I thought about working on the story, but I want to be in better condition than the day after I had that root canal finished, though finishing was distinctly easier on my system than getting it started, let alone getting it done in one sitting. {Smile}

After dinner, I got a quick call from our former nurse, which was nice. it's good to touch base with him sometimes. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. She was awake and looking around but put her head down and closed her eyes when I started. When the cards and other things with pictures to look at come out, she raised her head and opened her eyes again. She looked at every picture I pointed out, and even responded once. I began with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I read and showed the pictures of Christmas cards from a nephew and a cousin's granddaughter, and a birthday card from me. Then I finished _Mele Kalikimaka: Christmas in Hawai'i_, and showed her the covers of Cats on Quilts, which I want to try reading next. Next, I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "The Elves and the Shoemaker." I ended with the 28th of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Black Forest." {Smile}

I did my head exercises and arm resistance exercises between lunch and cleaning myself up in the afternoon. Then I did my arm swinging exercises while waiting for the later short, large group event to start. That was all, but I guess it can be good enough for the day after the root canal got finished. I'll try to do more tomorrow. {Smile}

I read articles and comics and played Cross Stitch World in the morning. Then I finished and shared Tuesday's daily update before and into lunch. I did a little more article reading and Cross Stitch World, and a little exercise before I cleaned myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I did some paperwork, then said hi to Pierogis. We finished watching the last two segments of Kudo and the Two Strings. Next, he left, and I joined the later short, large-group event. After that was done, I did a bit of paperwork until it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming, and looked around. I said hi to Pierogis and started on paperwork while waiting to see if he'd answer. I also started looking elsewhere on the internet. Pierogis said hi, and we teamed up. At first, I got distracted by some internet shopping. Pierogis feared it was him, but no, it was getting bean snacks recently that taste so good except for the salt and wanting ones with less salt. Then I concentrated on the game better, and we did a few missions. He left when he got tired, and I started collecting badges. Then Dr. Faustus said hi, and we teamed up to do some spring/Valentine's Day missions. Phonso joined us and mentioned that these missions are just about over for the season. Phonso left after a while, and Dr. Faustus did a couple of low-level missions that aren't special to one time of year. Then I said goodnight, did a little Cross Stitch World, a little more shopping, and wrote notes to write this up from the next day.Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-4927287104403766972024-02-28T11:26:00.006-10:002024-02-28T12:37:50.243-10:00Daily Update, February 27, 2024
 On Tuesday, I began to edit a holiday story from a few years ago. I made good progress with it, but it needs more work. {Smile}
In the afternoon, I called Uber. They came and took me to the endodontist, who numbed me up and finished the root canal. Then I took Uber home. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. She was awake and looking around when I started. She looked at every picture I pointed out, and even responded. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I read and showed the pictures of an easter card from a cousin, a birthday card from a friend, and a birthday card from church. After that, I continued _Mele Kalikimaka: Christmas in Hawai'i_, Then I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin." I ended with the 27th of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Restless Star." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises, my standing arm weight training exercises, and two of my head exercises while waiting for Uber to come take me to my endodontist appointment. I took it easy the rest of the day. I just had a root canal completed, so I think I can have one day light on the exercise. {Smile}

In the morning, I read part of an article and played Cross Stitch World. Then I revised the story over and after lunch. Next, I cleaned myself up, did a few exercises, and started revising Monday's daily update before heading out to the endodontist. When I got back, I finished revising Monday's daily update before hopping into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I found Pierogis, and we started chatting. He invited me into a farm to show me how a new character was shaping up. We chatted more, then ran an individual mission before I broke to read to Mom. Between reading to Mom and dinner, and right after dinner, I wrote a bit of this daily update, and made notes to write from later, as well. {Smile}

Then after dinner I hopped into City of heroes: Homecoming. Then i shifted to playing some Cross Stitch World. Next, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming, and said hi to Pierogis. He left shortly after, so I started on paperwork. Then I said hi to Dr. Faustus. He was helping a friend, so I joined them. We did a few missions before Dr. Faustus realized that I had been a few missions behind them. He had us back up and do mine, though we were now several ahead -- just over a story arc. Kitten joined us partway through. I tried to talk Nox and Nik (Radio) too, but we kept getting distracted until we said goodnight. I'd almost caught up to Dr. Faustus's friend when they had to leave. We finished catching up. Then Dr. Faustus switched to a character who wasn't done with the next story arc himself. We ran that story arc too, then said goodnight because it was really late. I tried to talk to Kitten on the chat server, but they didn't respond. I did finish making notes for this, despite the email program erasing my text and making me restart a couple time before I started saving frequently. Once I started saving frequently, it stopped erasing stuff. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-23208933126499203432024-02-27T16:18:00.007-10:002024-02-27T16:18:52.717-10:00Daily Update, February 26, 2024
I texted with our housekeeper, catching up with recent events, and arranging for her to visit the next day. {Smile}

I also looked at web fiction host sites, talked with friends, and picked one to try, called Booksie. {Smile}

It was too late for more. {smile}

I played Cross Stitch World in the morning and read comics over lunch. Then I finished writing up yesterday's daily update before cleaning myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming later than I thought I would. I found Pierogis and we teamed up. We ran a couple of missions, then said a provisional goodnight in case he left before I returned. Then I broke to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I found Pierogis busy with paperwork. I had some too, so we chatted while we each worked on our own. About the time I was done. I figured out Pierogis had stopped replying. Then Rivka said hi. We teamed up and did a couple of missions. Then they said goodnight and headed off to bed. Next, I looked around, and ended up starting to work on getting badges. Then Kitten said hi. We teamed up and did a mission. I also talked to Nox and Nik (Radio). When we finished, I realized Phonso had said hi and invited us to a taskforce I responded, and it looks like we got the last two spots. We ran it with them. Then Kitten got busy sorting recycling, and I did what exercises I got done. I also looked over the web fiction sites and joined one that I think Pierogis liked because it allows cover pictures. I also wrote a little of this and made a lot of notes to write from the next day. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-38350965030347690752024-02-26T13:33:00.001-10:002024-02-26T13:33:09.312-10:00Daily Update, February 25, 2024
Saturday night, I discovered the freezer flatly refused to close. No matter how hard I tried, the door would not close, but stay ajar. Only after rearranging and taking out everything in the front rows, top and bottom, did I look at the door, where a few items were sticking up, including a box entirely too thick to let the door close on it. Moving that and a few thinner things let the door close much more nicely, even when I loaded the rest into the fridge. Unfortunately, this pushed a moderately late bedtime to distinctly late. but I didn't want to wake up the nurse and make them deal with it, so I felt stuck. *resigned look*
Sunday morning, I noticed three pink spots I stopped to wash them out, and actually got them out, but the pants were dripping all over the place. So, I went to look for a skirt to wear with the top, and realized none I knew fit went with my pink top. I finally found a black one that kind of went, but it was fussy to fit. This plus the night before and Uber taking 18 minutes to get to me when it said 11 meant that even with a ten o'clock service, I got there in the middle of the gospel. Since I discovered on the way down that my blouse was inside out, I didn't settle down until the priest had started the sermon. This really was too late, as Auntie Barbara gently pointed out later, but I'd have to make sure I got there at least half an hour early just about every time to avoid being late on the one morning after the one night when so many things went wrong in the past few years. Though she did admit this might be unavoidable in this case. {SIGH}

I had lunch there afterwards with Auntie Barbara and several others, including two men who were doing home communion. They wanted to take me home and make Mom the first stop. I was happy, and so was Auntie Barbara with the prospect of being able to just drive home, which in in the opposite direction of my house. The ride home with home communion was nice, as was home communion with Mom when we got there. They did a good job, especially for their first time with us. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. She was sleepy, but opened her eyes for the pictures with prompting, and seemed to like them and the stories as well as I could tell. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. After that, I finished her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Then I continued _Mele Kalikimaka: Christmas in Hawai'i_, reaching the page on the _Hawaiian Nutcracker_, a ballet a friend of the family choreographed that Dad called "his masterpiece." Then I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves." I ended with the 25th of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "Bold Billy." {Smile}

I did my head exercises and arm swinging exercises while waiting for Uber to come take me to church. Then, after teaming and talking with Dark, and unclogging a toilet that got clogged, I did my arm resistance exercises and my salsa warmup set. I really meant to do more, but my plans did not allow for having to unclog the toilet. any more than my plans for getting to church allowed for all the things which slowed me down. {rueful look}

I hopped onto my computer after home communion. Then I played a little Cross Stitch World and finished writing up yesterday's daily update before cleaning myself up. After that, I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming and found Pierogies. As we began to team up, someone invited me to a team at my level. As far as I know, pretty much randomly; I don't think I know them. I asked if my friend could come. when they said yes, both Pierogies and I joined. Pierogies really liked being able to play with a mostly full team, instead of by himself in a farm, or with just a couple of friends like we so often do. When that team broke up, we watched a few segments of the film we started the other day, _Kubo and the Two Strings_. We got up to just before the last big battle. I might have been able to squeeze in one more segment, but there are two more, not just one. That suggests the next one stops at a really tensely exciting part, so we agreed waiting for another day was better. Then Pierogies started a farm, and I left a character there as I went to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies still farming, but ready to quit, so we said goodnight and he left. Then I spotted Dark, and we stated talking, and teamed up, talking and preparing before we started playing. Then we ran a couple of missions. The first went fine. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server; they were just leaving when I said hi again, so we didn't get to chat. Dark's and my second mission failed to complete. One enemy got stuck in a cage which we couldn't get her out of and couldn't get her while she was in it. The mission wouldn't complete until we got her. We discussed options, and decided it was too late, so we'd let it restart and try again... or maybe get it to auto complete, which you can only do once every three days. Not that either of us likes to use it, but... we don't like to use it, so maybe we won't. Anyway, then we said goodnight. After dealing with the toilet and doing my exercises, I wrote this up, with much of it write, as well as some notes for the next day.

Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-38293417068136256852024-02-25T13:07:00.002-10:002024-02-25T13:07:55.377-10:00Daily Update, February 24, 2024
 Today was Saturday. I again have been thinking about web fiction and its host sites and looking into the latter. It is cutting into my time for other stuff, especially game playing and comic and article reading. I miss the time I usually spend with my friends in the games. I hope that soon I'll be able to get back to more of that, at least, though I know I can't write regularly and do as much other stuff as I used to. {smile}
I forgot to mention yesterday that I ate breakfast and lunch with Mom, too. I did; I only miss meals with her when the relief nurse is with us when I'm eating out, like the day before, with the belated birthday picnic lunch. {Smile}

It looks like I also forgot to mention that the phone company called. We get not just phone but email addresses through them. They called to say I've lost one. I hadn't let them know the last time a card expired, so the account lapsed. Once it's cancelled, they can't reinstate it, but they can and will cancel the entire outstanding balance. It was the address I signed up with to most accounts, so I'll have to figure out how to fix that. {sigh}

I ate breakfast and dinner with Mom and read to her before dinner. She was awake when I got there and looked at the picture, listened to the stories, and even commented at least once. It was a good day for her. First, I started with scripture and thoughts about it. Next, I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. After that, I continued _Mele Kalikimaka: Christmas in Hawai'i_. Then I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "The Tortoise and the Hare." I ended with the 24th of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Competition." {Smile}

I did my arm resistance exercises after saying goodnight to Dark, followed closely by my salsa dancing warmup set. Then I took a break. Next came my head exercises, followed by my less structured salsa dancing set, followed by my arm swinging exercises and my standing arm weight training exercises before it got too late. {Smile}

My morning was mostly trying to figure out web fiction and the host sites for it, as I said earlier. Then I played Cross Stitch World around and over lunch. Next, I did some more research before cleaning myself up. After that, I dashed into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies, and we teamed up, and did a few missions together before it was time to tread to Mom. He let me sit in a farm during reading and dinner again. {Smile}

After dinner, I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Pierogies ready to leave, so we said goodnight. I also found Dark and said hi. He asked me what characters I wanted to play, and I picked some we'd played as a set. I knew which was mine and got it. He found two around the same level who we decided must have been the ones. Their powers are similar, so I think we had a theme going. We ran through a story arc he'd started, then got a story arc we both wanted next. Paradox said he'd get on through the chat world and did come in and join us near the end of that arc. I also chatted with Nox on the chat world. Next, we started the arc's first sequel. They're the first two of four arcs and a trial that form a series. Paradox left before the last mission of the second arc. Dark and I did that mission, and started a different, unrelated story arc that Dark likes to get at low levels. We can finish that sequence after this one, and there's an annoyingly difficult enemy in the other if you do it at mis-levels. We'd both rather catch it low rather than wait until high levels or fight those. Then we said goodbye, and I started my exercises. Between and after, I wrote this up and made notes for the next day. I also checked more in City of Heroes: Homecoming than I really had time for, especially when church was the next morning. {smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207788461285073909.post-83789901184373848082024-02-24T13:17:00.009-10:002024-02-24T13:17:59.396-10:00Daily Update, February 23, 2024
Friday, I stayed home and thought a lot about hosts for my web fiction. Then I did my salsa dancing warmup set after a break. Next, I did my arm swinging exercises after another break. Then I could have gone on, except for how late it was. I'll have to work on getting stuff done earlier. {Smile}

I researched web fiction hosts in the morning, then finished writing Thursday's daily update. After lunch I played Cross Stitch World and did more research into web fiction sites. Eventually I got around to cleaning myself up. Then I hopped straight into City of Heroes: homecoming because it was pretty late. I did get together with Pierogies, and we did 3 or 4 individual missions before it was time to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner, I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I got together with Pierogies, and we got ready to continue the movie we started yesterday with Kitten, since Kitten insisted that we shouldn't wait for them. Then Dark came in and was more interested in missions than the movie. When I told Pierogies, he shooed me off to play with Dark, saying we'd watch the movie some other time. I teamed up with Dark, and we played two story arcs together over the evening, the first and second in a four-part series. I talked to Rivka, too, but they were too close to bedtime to play together. I talked to Nox on the chat server, too. I talked to Dark as well as teaming, especially about web fiction. He reads it, so i asked about suggestions to start publishing. We talked about other things after teaming, until I had to start exercising. Then we said goodnight, and I did my exercises, with more looking into web fiction hosts and writing up this, well, mostly making note to write from the next day. {Smile}

She visited with Mom, and we sang six of her songs with her. Then she told Mom that she was taking me out to a much belated birthday lunch, and Mom spontaneously sang Happy Birthday, which we joined in on again. That's her favorite song, since it's the one she's most likely to start singing without prompting. {Smile}
Then we joined Michelle, who was waiting out by the car. She'd picked lemons while waiting, which is great. I lose many to no one picking in time. Then we went down to Island Naturals, where we met up with Scott. We all picked out lunch, and Auntie Barbra insisted on paying as her treat. Scott came with us, leaving his car by Island Naturals. We went to Wailoa first, but all the small pavilions with tables were taken. The big pavilions were empty of both people and places to sit. You're expected to bring your own tables and chairs these days. They took them out at the beginning of the pandemic. {smile}

So, we tried Liliu'okalani Gardens, and started to sit at a table when it started raining again. We ate in the car, with the lunches we picked out at Island naturals, and some chocolate cake Scott brought. He'd made it himself, and it was very good. Then we took Scott back to his car by Island naturals before they took me home. We were, of course, talking the whole time, which was great. {Smile}

I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. She was awake and looked at all the pictures and listened to the stories today. First, I began with scripture and thoughts about it. Then I continued her niece's long family Christmas letter from 2020. Next, I continued: _Mele Kalikimaka: Christmas in Hawai'i_. After that, I read the next story in _Five-Minute Stories: Over 50 Tales and Fables_, "Rumpelstiltskin." I ended with the 22nd of February's story from _366 Stories for Bedtime_, "The Frozen Lake." Claire lives in Canada, where lakes freeze hard, and snow is on the ground for months in winter. Claire was very good at ice skating. It was her favorite sport. She could skate fast, and backwards, and leap and twirl. Claire often skated alone on a lake near her house. her mother asked if she felt lonely there, but Claire assured her that sometimes bears kept her company, and sometimes she rode on a reindeer. Then she winked at her mother, who smiled back. {Smile}

After teaming for the evening, I did my arm resistance exercises and arm swinging exercises, followed by my salsa dancing warm-up set. Then I did my less structured salsa dancing, my head exercises, my standing arm weight training exercises, and two of my four sitting arm weight training exercises after a break. I've really been feeling like I should do more of my exercises, and I finally did. I hope to add in the other two sitting arm weight training exercises particularly soon. {Smile}

I browsed the internet, reading some articles and thinking about web fiction hosts after breakfast and before starting to get ready for Auntie Barbara. When I got back, I played Cross Stitch World and wrote up the day before's daily update before cleaning myself up. As soon as I was done, I dashed into City of Heroes: Homecoming particularly late. Pierogies and Kitten were there, and eager to watch a movie. Luckily it is in segments, so we watched four segments, slipping in the last right before I went to read to Mom. {Smile}

After dinner I hopped back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started on paperwork, and Gargle Ripper invited me to team up. I tried to get Kitten's attention, but they were unresponsive. I did get my new friend, Rivka, to join the group, I found out that's what she wants to be called in these updates. Later, I got Dr. Faustus to join us as well, once he'd finished with a taskforce he'd been running. I also talked with Nox and Hayden on the Chat world, in the conversation we three share with Nik. We teamed, with some leaving early, and others coming in. Rivka left partway through my evening. Eventually, our leader left, as did a couple others at the same time. Dr. Faustus and one other stayed for a hunt I had before we broke up, too. I wrote this, did paperwork in City of Heroes: Homecoming, and looked at web fiction hosts some more between and after the exercises. I still managed to head to bed too late, but at least with more exercises done. {Smile}Annehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05083766769757259822noreply@blogger.com0
