Daily Update, March 27, 2025

On Thursday, after breakfast, I went out with my main nurse. We went to HMSA, my health insurance provider, and waited a fair bit before a gal called us in. We asked what exercise program might be associated with my health insurance. The gal found Active and Fit, a program that gets you into a gym at their low rate. She started to tell me how we could switch gyms when I asked. So then I asked if I could belong to more than one simultaneously. She said call the number she gave me to enroll and ask them. {Smile}

After that, my nurse and I checked with a few places. WE tried the YMCA first. They had a nice flyer about current classes. Next, we tried Hui Malama Ola Na 'Oiwi. They gave us two pamphlets, but all their exercise classes are online. After that, we tried Spencer's Gym. They have a couple of classes, but nothing they could give us on them. We left others for another day; there are three more around Hilo on the list. I don't think we'll go out of town. Both my main nurse and I were particularly impressed with how well prepared the YMCA was. They even have things particularly for seniors. My nurse favors those as more likely to accommodate my handicaps. {Smile}

Walking around those places was enough exercise for one day. My main nurse and I agree about that. {Smile}

I played much Cross Stitch World on my phone while we were out, especially in HMSA's waiting room. Then after we got home, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web right over lunch. I then read some web comics before I wrote up Wednesday's daily update. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming late and started with paperwork. I chatted with Nox on the chat server a bit, too. Then I joined and ran the later long, large-group event. Afterwards, Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a mission before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then played by myself on a high-level character while talking with Ulty and Jenny's player. Then I switched to play a low-level character. I joined a low-level trial on that character, partly for the company, and partly because they sounded desperate for more members, so I felt like I was helping them by joining. I also talked with Nox briefly on the chat server. During the trial, Phonso said hi. He found a mid-level team to join before we finished. Then I said hi to a new friend, Glen. He was on a new low-level character, so we teamed up with me staying on the low-level character I was already playing. I apologized to Phonso for not joining the mid-level team, but I was excited to play the low-level with Glen. Not many like the low levels. We ran several missions. I actually reached the point that felt I could go up couple of levels. Then we did two story arcs I could get, including one of my favorites. We finished just in time to say goodbye. Afterwards, I made notes in this, writing in one big push to get all done at once, without distractions. Then I did a little Cross Stitch World to wind down. {Smile}
