Wednesday was Mom's birthday. To celebrate, I didn't visit her niche in cemetery. A friend suggested that, but Mom and Dad avoided cemeteries and funerals as much as possible. Instead, I tried to accomplish stuff, since she loved to get needed things done.
First, my main nurse took me to the Hilo branch of the state employment office, where I started the process to claim Mom's pension, since she'd said it was settled on me. That was surprisingly quick and painless, especially for a state government office in Hawai'i. Next, we went to HMSA, my health insurer. I paid for another month's insurance, then waited over an hour to set up automatic payment. It wasn't too bad once they saw me, but one representative was handling all customers, and the line was very slow. When we were finally done, my main nurse took me back home. {Smile}
Then after dinner, my main nurse took me to the Church of the Holy Cross for Rhumba and Shuffle, my two Wednesday ballroom dance classes. We waited in the car until someone came and opened up. I and the other students did the Rhumba for the first hour. Then we did the 4-count shuffle for the second hour, not the 3-count shuffle like last week. They hoped it was easier, and it is when first learning the dance. Though it's really best to learn both, as they pointed out. I think because you're better prepared for dancing socially, where your partner at least in theory could do either. After the second class, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}
At home after the errands in the morning, I got onto my computer. I read articles and watched videos on the web right over lunch and after for a while, since I was tired form the morning's errands. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and checked on my friends who play the game. Next, I started to play by myself on a character who I wanted to get a level on. I got invited to a team doing similar stuff, and Kitten joined us. I did get my level and prepared to stay at it for a while without out gaining more. a little later, the leader left. I switched to the slightly higher-level character I got up to moderately low-level and got Kitten's help with a badge to help them tiring too easily. Then at Kitten's suggestion, set up my best BC and one of their characters to work on a badge while I ate dinner. {Smile}
After dinner, at Kitten's suggestion we set the characters up better before I left them and Kitten again while I went to my dance class. After I got home after my dance class, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game and responded to one or two who'd left messages while I was away, but they'd left after leaving comments. Then I wrote up Tuesday's daily update. I checked my friends in City of Heroes: Homecoming a few more times over the evening, but didn't spot anyone to team up with, so I didn't leave the badging arrangement with Kitten. I read comics over evening too, as my character closer to the badge in a line of them. Eventually, Kitten came back, surprised I was still there. We talked. Then we set up our characters slightly better for the night. I made notes in this, taking breaks to talk with Kitten. When I was done, I said the Lord's Prayer and read forward Day by Day. {Smile}
