Thursday was Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate it! If don't celebrate it, or not at this time, I hope you had a nice day. {SMILE}
I called my cousins Kim and Nancy, wishing each a happy Thanksgiving on their answering machine. I also left texts saying the same thing. My cousin Kim called me back. We had a nice talk, which was so wonderful! {SMILE}
My main nurse took me out before lunch. We stopped at KTA, a local supermarket, and picked out some blueberry pie for a party I was invited to at Peggy's house, and a blueberry cheesecake for Auntie Barbara the next day. Then came the phone call from Kim just before the party. I ended it to join the party, but I think we'd said the most important stuff already. {Smile}
The party was hosted by Peggy, the gal who started our Daughters of the King chapter. It was over half church folks, but there were a few others, too. They were finishing the pupus, or snacks. Soon, a dinner in the early afternoon followed. When dinner was finished, out came two decks of cards. Seven gathered around, and I learned the rules of golf, the card game. We played a few hands of golf, then totaled up the score The low score is the winner, like in the regular golf, and I had it. I'm not quite sure how I won, but okay. {Smile}
After that, most left, and I called my main nurse, and visited with the others while waiting for him to come get me. I particularly talked with another Anne about maybe her moving in early next year, since she needs a home closer to town, and I need a cheaper alternative to 24-hour nursing. We'll see how things go. My main nurse took me home after dark. I actually got to see Christmas lights on the way. {Smile}
After breakfast, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I got onto my computer and read articles on the web and started preparing my higher teen supergroup member to gain level until we left for the Thanksgiving party. That was a nice way to spend time with my church family for a family holiday. {Smile}
After I got back, I got back onto my computer. I ate a light supper while reading articles and several comics on the web. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update, taking breaks to read more articles on the web and also to check Discord, the chat server. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends who play the game. I was going to start say hi to some of my friends when Divi said hi and invited me to the brand-new taskforce they introduced just days before. As I was getting ready to join, Kitten said hi, so I checked with Divi, and yes, Kitten could join, too. They certainly did, since this was the first time they'd found someone doing this taskforce, and it gives badges, which both kitten and I love. We ran it, got two badges out of three possible at low difficulty. Tougher difficulty could get three more for a total of six. We both are sure this needs more work. Anyway, after the taskforce, the team broke up. When it was just Kitten and me, Pierogies found us before much longer. We talked a lot and teamed up. Eventually, we did two missions, trying the new tougher difficulty settings. They were not as tough as we expected, but more challenging than the old difficulty settings. We talked a little more before saying goodnight. Next, I made notes in this, taking a break to update my badge record for my top badge collector before finishing the night by saying the Lord's Prayer and reading Forward Day by Day. {Smile}
