On Thursday, before I got up, my right ear started to ache. I found an almost comfortable position that let me rest fairly deeply but I'm not convinced I fully fell asleep. If I did, my sleep was short and possibly fitful. So, after breakfast, I called my doctor. His receptionist promised to send a prescription for an antibiotic to Safeway, my preferred pharmacy. {Smile}
Then after lunch the pharmacy called my main nurse. He went down to pick up that, and an over-the-counter medication to help the ear, too. I started taking it that afternoon. It was almost comfortable most of the time, though tender to touching too close to that ear. It might be getting better, but it's early to be sure. {Smile}
I tried calling my financial adviser again but got her answering machine. I didn't follow up as much as I wished, but I didn't get some work she said I need to do done, either. The ear kind of made me less energetic. After the calls, I read articles on the web, and web comics, too. I noticed I wasn't making the best decisions and mentioned it to my main nurse. He ordered me to take a nap, which I did before lunch. It was slightly shorter than often, but I just woke earlier. I settled back on my computer and read articles on the web through lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on my friends and tried to get Kitten's attention. Then I got the moderately high-level character I'd started doing talks on the day before. I finished the talks and got the first mission for a few new contacts. Only one had a hunt option, but before I could start, I found a conversation in Discord, the chat server, where Dennis and Kitten were looking for folks to play with and complaining that they couldn't find anyone. I had been in the game most of the afternoon, but somehow Kitten didn't find me. When I asked if I should play first or clean myself up first, Dennis favored cleaning up. So, I went to look for my main nurse. I looked, and looked, and looked. Then I went back to try to find Kitten and Dennis. I also looked some more for my main nurse. I finally found my main nurse, who was busy with something, but made time to help me clean myself up. After that, I went back to my computer and City of Heroes: Homecoming, and got together with Dennis, and Kitten, who has a new character. Kitten doesn't often make new characters, and they talked about this one a week or two ago, so it felt like an event. We did one of my missions that was long enough, it ran slightly into dinner, but I finished before leaving for dinner. {Smile}
After dinner, I went right back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. Dennis was surprised how quickly I came back. He and Kitten were trick-or-treating, so I joined them. This went on a fair while before Dennis left for bed. Kitten and I continued. Then I mentioned I was getting bored I kept at until I got two more badges that looked like I should get them very soon but took more time than I expected to actually get. Next, the league broke up and reformed. Kitten was tired - too tired to decide what they wanted to do. I ended up suggesting they sleep. After that, I wrote up my daily update, taking breaks to read web articles. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I worked on the in-game auction house, storage, and crafting. Next, I did the first hunt on the moderately high-level character whose talks and contacts I'd worked on earlier. I talked to Dr. Faustus during it. After that, we joined up to finish the story arc in the post-apocalyptic setting that we'd started the other night. Then we started the next story arc in line. After that, we said goodnight. I worked on some auction house, storage and crafting. Then I made notes in this, with breaks for articles on the web, Cross Stitch World, and web comics. Last came the Lord's Prayer and forward Day by Day. {Smile}
