On Saturday after breakfast, I found an email from Carol. She was surprised how cheap my monitor was and didn't think it was economical to have her deal with the company. She suggested I do so myself. I thought about it, but what would I have if I did? A monitor very much like the monitor that only lasted 10 months. I think I can afford a better monitor than that one. {Smile}
I'd asked, and she recommended a few brands, so I searched for them online, and via company web pages, at a couple of local stores. It looked like Hilo's Target had a Samsung of the right size for a particularly good deal, so I asked my main nurse to take me there after lunch. We went to the ice cream parlor so I could get a popsicle first. My main nurse's car started making loud, strange noises about a block away from the ice cream parlor. We did make it to the ice cream parlor and parked. My main nurse said to go pick out a popsicle while he looked at the car. I got a lilikoi (passionfruit) creme popsicle while my nurse checked his car. I got back, and settled into the car, enjoying my popsicle. The nurse soon tried to drive off. He started off at a lazy speed that's nice for the parking lot we were in but shook his head and parked again. He called around to track down a tow truck. which isn't easy on a Saturday. Then we waited. While we did, he arranged for a friend of his to come get us, and I played Cross Stitch World. That took a while. When she got here, my main nurse asked if she wanted ice cream, since we're at an ice cream parlor. She got ice cream, while I got a haupia (coconut milk pastry) popsicle. We waited some more, eating the popsicle and ice cream, then playing games on our phones - Cross Stitch World for me. Finally, she took me home while my main nurse continued to wait for the tow truck. He came to my home later with his newer car. I did minimal exercise waiting in the parking lot; just some slow walking, mostly between the ice cream parlor and the two cars. {smile}
After breakfast, I found the email and began to research monitors. Then I realized I needed a nap and took one. When I got up, I started browsing on the web as I woke up. I kept browsing and also read some web comics over lunch. Then I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I didn't find anyone who isn't there later, so I just did some auction house and storage before our trip out. When I got back, I began to write up daily update only to realize that it was already late enough that if I wanted to team up with Pierogies or Dennis in City of Heroes: Homecoming, I'd better do that now and write later. I finished the first paragraph and messaged them on Discord the chat server. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did very little auction house before Pierogies said hi. We talked then teamed up. Dennis joined us as we were starting on missions. We did a few moderately high-level missions, finishing a story arc I had about an evil, psychic carnival. Then we said goodnight/have a nice dinner just before I went to dinner. {Smile}
After dinner, I finished writing up my daily update. Then I read some web comics before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with auction house, crafting and storage. I also chatted with Nox on Discord. When the crafting and such were done, I said hi to Ulty and Jenny's player. We chatted while I began to play by myself on the same character as earlier. I also did some auction house, storage, and crafting on her. Then Dennis said hi. We chatted, and I switched characters to get stuff to help him with his character, who'd just reached a level good for picking out stuff to improve the character. We chatted quite a while, then said goodnight. I worked with the auction house on the same character. Then I made notes in this, breaking occasionally to check that character in the game. Then I went to bed early-for-me. {Smile}
