Daily Update, May 30, 2025

On Friday, I stayed home and took it easy. the secretary from the nursing company swung by, and we exchanged checks and such, since it's the end of the month. My relief nurse talked with her briefly, too. {Smile}

 I didn't get any exercise done, despite intending to. {rueful smile}

In the morning, I played Cross Stitch World and studied the catechism. I also browsed on the web. Then I wrote up Thursday's daily update right before lunch. After lunch, I played more Cross Stitch World. Then I checked the chat server and responded in some conversations. After that, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then a fellow invited me to a group running fairly high-level missions while I was on the fairly high-level character I played the day before. I joined, them, and ran two missions, which made me a few minutes late to the villain supergroup meeting. I took my new, still low-level villain. There was only one other member there. She greeted me with the news that the leader had just left, and my friend who invited me to the group wasn't coming. I suggested a mission, but she suggested roleplaying, and that honestly sounded more interesting. We roleplayed and talked for two and a half hours. Her character is so guarded, I learned little, though more than she realized she'd told me. I learned even more out-of-character. Eventually, she left, and I squeezed in a hunt before dinner, since the character is so low-level, hunts are quick. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and made notes in this, with some breaks to browse the web. Then I went back into City of heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, and talked briefly with Dr. Faustus, but he was on a full team. So, I did more paperwork. I also talked with Nox on the chat server. Then Doctor Faustus suddenly invited me to pair of high-level task forces. I joined them and when the leader finished recruiting a full team, we ran it. Next, I switched to a different character to run it again, since the leader and some others wanted to, and you get better rewards if you don't repeat too soon on the same character. I also established long-term contact with the leader. After that, I did paperwork, then started making notes in this. Next, I did more paperwork. Then I played by myself on the teen supergroup member until I shifted to a fairly long session of Cross Stitch World. After that, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming and the teen supergroup member, first playing by myself doing hunts, then doing paperwork on her. After that, I started a hunt on her older, barely higher-level sister. I got her up a level, but I didn't finish the hunt, nor did I train for her new level yet. I'm still debating what to choose for the new level. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 29, 2025

 On Thursday I had my video counselling one hour later than usual because my counselor had a tight schedule, and that's where I fit in. We had a good session. Our discussion was particularly animated. {Smile}

Then after lunch my main nurse took me down to Lili'uokalani Gardens. We walked around for about forty minutes. Yes, this included a brief stop at the ice cream parlor. Their ice cream is too big for my diabetes, but their popsicles are much better. This time I had chocolate peanut butter. As I expected, it was good. We walked back to the car by a different route. then my main nurse took me back home. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

Before counselling, I read more of the catechism to prepare for Daughters of the King discernment. It's really a precursor step recommended in the introduction to the discernment. Around that, I played Cross Stitch World until counselling. After counselling, I read a little more catechism I think this is when I settled on reading topic at a time instead of two, so they'd sink in better. I played Cross Stitch World while I ate lunch, followed by a little more catechism. Then we went to the park. On the ride down and the ride back from the park, I read a little catechism and played a fair bit of Cross Stitch World both ways. When I got home, I reached a better stopping place in Cross Stitch World. Then I talked with Dennis on the chat server. He got me to dash into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where we teamed up and did my missions on a fairly high-level character until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a little Cross Stitch World, then wrote up my daily update, with pauses for playing more Cross Stitch World and reading web comics. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I said hi to Kitten and talked with Ulty a bit. Then I started to hunt by myself on the same character as before dinner. I also talked with Nox on the chat server. Then Kitten said hi, and I switched to missions leaving half the hunt to do later. We ran a few missions before I noticed Dr. Faustus was on, and said hi, offering to help him. He joined us instead, and we did a few more missions. Then Cat went quiet and timed out. I missed a mission waiting for them. Then Dr. Faustus and I struggled with one more mission, since it was set for having Kitten, too. After that, Dr. Faustus left. I did paperwork, and made notes in this, with breaks to play Cross Stitch World during both. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 28, 2025

On Wednesday, my main nurse took me to Zumba Gold. He tried to get me moving in time, but I was slow to get off the computer. I was late, but it was my own fault, as I told my teacher during one of the breaks. Class went well. I talked to gal I feel acquainted with during one of the short breaks who said I'm moving better. So did a couple of gals I talked to afterwards, after they started talking with my nurse. Maybe I'm making friends here, too. {Smile}

Zumba Gold was my exercise Wednesday. {Smile}

After breakfast, I discovered that Haiden had talked with Nox on the chat server and tried to respond to him. I also played a little Cross Stitch World. Then I read some more of the catechism to prepare for the Daughters of the King discernment. Next, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. After that, I had lunch while playing Cross Stitch World. I'm really enjoying how well that works with finger food and forks, which describes my lunch. If it wasn't one, it was the other, or both, since a tuna fish sandwich acted like it was over full, but happy to fix that, thankfully while it was over my plate. Cross Stitch World ran a bit over lunch, but then I wrote up my daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I said hit to Kitten, then to Jenny's player and Ulty. I talked with Jenny's player and Ulty while I played by myself on the teen supergroup member. After that, I talked to a friend from the chat world that preceded City of Heroes coming back on City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did that and soloing up to dance class. On the way down to class, I discovered my phone's battery was low, so I only played a little Cross Stitch World. I watched scenery the rest of the way down, and all the way home. When I got home, I shopped on the web. Then I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and started notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I said hi to Kitten and talked briefly with Ulty. Next, I started to do hunts by myself. I also talked with Nox on the chat world. Kitten said hi and joined me just as I finished a hunt. I picked a regular mission next, and we did it. During it, Phonso invited us to a taskforce. We joined him when we finished the mission and ran the taskforce with the team he recruited. Afterwards, Kitten admitted they were tired. I talked to them a bit, but they didn't respond, so I started paperwork. Then Kitten timed out. I finished the paperwork, then switched back to the teen supergroup member, but I just wasn't getting into playing them. So, I played Cross Stitch world and caught up on web comics, which I'd fallen behind in reading. I did go back to City of Heroes: homecoming for minimal paperwork Then after a little more Cross Stitch World, I made more notes in this. Part of me wanted to read more of the catechism, but I was concerned I'd start thinking so hard about it, I'd have trouble falling asleep. That's no good. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 27, 2025

On Tuesday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to Safeway. We picked up my prescription, then got a few groceries and two sandwich for lunch that day and the next. Then my main nurse took me back home. {Smile}

Walking around Safeway was my main exercise, but I will have Zumba Gold the next day. {Smile}

Before my trip down, I began reading stuff for Daughters of the King discernment before I become fully involved. On the ride down Safeway and again on the way back, I played Cross Stitch World in the car, Towards the end, I read a little more of the catechism for my Daughters of the King studies. That's thick enough going, it's best done in small chunks. After I got back, I played more Cross Stitch World over lunch. It's a nice game on the computer while I'm eating at it. It's all mouse use, so my left is free for forks, and even finger food, since it won't get food on the computer before I can wash my hands. I also continued studying the Catechism for Daughters of the King studies after I was done with the finger food. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then checked with Ulty. Yes, the teen supergroup meeting should start soon. So, I finished the paperwork and went to the teen supergroup meeting. It started slowly, particularly for me, since I was the last to find where the others were roleplaying. We did get into that roleplaying. Eventually I asked about missions, and we did a few in a long, high-level story arc one of the others had. That took us right up to dinner for me and bedtime for the mission holder. {Smile}

After dinner, I played only a little Cross Stitch World before going back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked on the teen SG meeting. Yes, they were still roleplaying, so I joined them in that. We roleplayed a fair while before the meeting broke up. I also talked with Nox on the chat server for a fair while. As the teen supergroup meeting was breaking up, Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I switched characters and joined him. After we ran it, I asked about another, but he thought it was too late for the others he was interested in, one way or another. So, I did paperwork from the taskforce. Then T switched back to the teen supergroup member. I did the paperwork from the afternoon's missions. Then I began doing hunts on her by myself. After a while, Pierogies said hi. We teamed up and ran a regular mission of mine. Then I picked up an individual mission that is more likely to be short, and we squeezed it in before we said goodbye. I followed that with a small bit of paperwork before I started making notes in this. I took a break to write to the gal leading me through discerning for Daughters of the King. I took another break for a little more City of Heroes paperwork before finishing my notes and heading to bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 26, 2025

I hope that everyone who commemorated it had a good Memorial Day. If you didn't, I hope you had a nice day anyway. {Smile}

On Monday, in the middle of the afternoon, my main nurse took me down to Target. He thought that on Memorial Day it would be more civilized than Walmart. We walked to books, where he left me while he picked up other stuff. He came and checked on me once or twice and got me when he was done. Then he took me back home. {Smile}

Walking at Target was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

After breakfast I played Cross Stitch World, read web comics, and browsed on the web. I mostly played Cross Stitch World over lunch because it was easiest with a fork in one hand. Eventually, I shifted to writing my daily update, which I finished and shared right before our trip out. I played a lot of Cross Stitch World on the way down and back. After we got back, I played a little more Cross Stitch World before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork. Pierogies said hi. We started to talk, but I got distracted by web browsing and came back to discover he'd gone to bed. Oops. So, I played by myself, running through hunts on a low-level character, with time out for paperwork when it came up. Ulty invited me to a trial, but by then it was too close to dinner. I stopped when I was called to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and started notes in this before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork, then started to play by myself. I talked with Ulty and Jenny's player, then got so caught up in playing by myself that I missed an invite to a taskforce from Azurette. So, I played by myself some more. I found I'd missed talking with Nox on the chat server, and left notes for them to find in the morning. I joined Azurette when they were ready for a second taskforce. After the taskforce, I and a few others from the taskforce toured Azurette's base. We talked for a fair while afterwards. Then I played a little Cross Stitch World while I ordered my mind. After that, I made notes in this, with a break to read web comics. I played a little more Cross Stitch World before heading to bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 25, 2025

On Sunday, I got up half an hour early despite being less than ten minutes early to bed because we thought they were starting 9am services for the summer, and since we don't have a regular priest now. However, when my main nurse took me down after breakfast they were finishing up breakfast after the early service. They were not in the middle of a single service like we expected them to be. They are switching to one service on the 15th of June/ This is a relief, since I have a few more weeks to adapt my sleep schedule. {smile}

The service was nice. We knew the supply priest as a former parishioner, I think. I sat with my main nurse for most of the service, because Auntie Barbara, to her delight, had three kids for Sunday School. she came and sat down shortly before we took communion. I switched to sitting with her after we went up for communion, since I was moving around anyway. Yes, I finished out the service sitting with her. {Smile}

After the service, I sat with the husband of a former deacon of ours. The deacon and another deacon friend of hers came and sat with us, as did Auntie Barbara. I enjoyed talking with them. {Smile}

After lunch, my nurse took me home. He said some of the clergy praised my improved social skills. He wants time to help me more through the rest of the year. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. {smile}

After I got back from church, I mostly played Cross Stitch World, with some web browsing until I realized I really needed a nap. Unfortunately, that took over two hours, but then I took my nap. After that, I did play a little Cross Stitch World while I woke up more fully. Then I wrote a little of Saturday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did a little paperwork, but not much before Pierogies said hi and invited me to a later long, large-group event. I ran it with him. Then we did a high-level individual mission. He reduced the difficulty a couple of times. It was still a challenge, but more doable. We finished just before I was called to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I read web comics and wrote up the rest of Saturday's daily update, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I started with paperwork. I talked with Ulty and Nyxy. I also talked with Nox on the chat server. I started to play by myself on a low-level character, running through the hunts she could pick up. that lasted until Dragons said hi. We teamed up, finished the hunt closest to completion, and ran the real mission the contact offered. Then Dragons wanted to join a friend of theirs to get a badge that improves the character who gets it. I thought that sounded good and joined them. Then I did some paperwork and made notes in this before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 24, 2025

On Saturday before lunch, my main nurse took me out to Liliu'okalani Gardens. We did a couple of errands on the way down. When we ended up at the park, we walked around. We paused at the "ice cream parlor" for popsicles. This time they had the liliko'i cream that they were out of last time, so I got that. Then we continued on ending up back at the car. We walked almost 40 minutes in all. After that, my main nurse, took me home, running a few more errands on the way. {Smile}

That walk at the park was my exercise for the day, and the day before, too. I hope that almost forty minutes was enough. {Smile}

Before going out, I browsed on the web, played Cross Stitch World, and read web comics. While going to and from the park and while doing errands, I did a little web shopping, but I mostly played a lot of Cross Stitch World, since that's easy to do on my phone, and free, too. After I got home, I played a little more Cross Stitch World and browsed a little on the web I also had lunch and read more web comics. Then I wrote up Friday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Almost immediately, I found Kitten running three farms and really wanting to help a friend level in one of those farms. So, I sat in farm with them. I played Cross Stitch World on the side when I got bored. Then I left and did some paperwork just before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I just checked comics before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I finished the paperwork from the earlier farming before I said hi to Kitten, who was torn whether to keep helping the friend they'd been helping earlier, since that friend seemed to have fallen asleep. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server over the evening, too. While waiting for Kitten, I started hunting on the character they designed for me. Then Michiel said hi and joined me just before Kitten joined us, too. The three of us started doing regular missions. Next, Rav joined us as well, and we continued doing missions, some tied together in story arcs. After a while, Dragons joined us not long before Michiel and Rav left. The three of us who were left did one more mission of mine. Then Dragons left to join a friend doing a low level but good experience mission. Kitten and I joined them, too. We ran the mission, and we finished more quickly than I expected. Then I left to do a little paperwork and hurried notes in this, with breaks for a little more paperwork, a little web browsing, and some talking with Kitten in City of Heroes: Homecoming. I got off the computer a little earlier than usual but managed to do a bit of window shopping on the phone, which kept me from getting to bed much earlier, despite knowing I had an early morning with church the next day. {smile}

Daily Update, May 23, 2025

On Friday. I just stayed home and took it easy. I think my main nurse was trying to avoid some Memorial weekend crowds.

I didn't do any exercise, either. I'll just have to do more another day. {smile}

After breakfast, I browsed on the web, played Cross Stitch World, and read web comics right through lunch. After lunch I played more Cross Stitch World and wrote up Thursday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I didn't do much paperwork before joining the villain supergroup for their weekly meeting. We roleplayed my new ghoul character meeting two vampires and a human for first time. Then we did some missions they had set up to test new characters and include even very low-level ones like mine. After a while, they disbanded. Right about then, Pierogies said hi. We teamed up and did a couple of missions before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a little Cross Stitch World before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. Dennis said hi pretty quickly, so I teamed up with him and Kitten for a mission or two of his, and a few hunts, both his and mine. Then Dennis left, and Kitten and I started a mission. In the middle of it, Micheil said hi and joined us. Then Dr. Faustus said hi. He'd promised to help me level the low-level villain who just joined the villain supergroup. So, after that mission, Micheil and I switched to low-level villains. Except Dr. Faustus had found Rav was establishing a new endgame character/ We switched to high-level characters and ran Rav's story arc. after one mission, Michiel switched to a character in the same situation. He reran the first mission quickly. Then we ran the rest for both at once. After that, Rav left. Next, Dr. Faustus ran a popular high-level taskforce with Kitten, Michiel, me, and four others he recruited. After the taskforce, the team broke up. Dr. Faustus and Michiel left, as did three of the others. Kitten, an acquaintance of ours, and I stayed and talked. Then we went into a farm Kitten ran while I started notes in this. After a while, I switched to playing Cross Stitch World. I left after the first farm mission, and discovered I still needed to finish the notes in this, so I hurriedly did so. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 22, 2025

On Thursday, I found a note from my counselor, rescheduling nest week's appointment one hour later. I had no problem with that on my end, so I confirmed the change. {Smile}

After breakfast, my main nurse and I went down to Safeway. We both got prescriptions. He had me pick a pair of sandwiches for lunch, too. Then he took me back home. {Smile}

I think walking around Safeway counts as light exercise for the day. It's just after Zumba Gold, so that should be enough. {Smile}

On the rides to and from Safeway, I played a lot of Cross Stitch World. There are limited alternatives in the car. When I got home, I browsed on the web and played more Cross Stitch World as I started on lunch. Then I read some web comics before I wrote up Wednesday's daily update with breaks to play Cross Stitch World. Yes, doing more of that again despite knowing it's not productive. It's something to do while I think things over, still. After that, I talked with friends on the chat server before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I talked with Pierogies, Dennis, and Rav. I teamed up with Pierogies, Dennis, and Dennis's friend, and we ran a few missions. Then Dennis and his friend left. Pierogies and I ran an individual high-level mission before he left, too. After that, I did paperwork until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and made notes in this, with a break to answer Nox on the chat server. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then took a break to play Cross Stitch World and think before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I chatted with Ulty and Dr. Faustus, then teamed up with Dr. Faustus. We roleplayed him meeting my new character for the supergroup and even got her into that supergroup. We also ran several missions of hers, completing a story arc, doing two more story arcs, and doing a few individual missions on top of that. My character has started to get experience again, but soon I'll turn it off to avoid missing content again. We ended with badge hunting together. After he left, I did a mix of paperwork, playing Cross Stitch World, and making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 21, 2025

On Wednesday, my main nurse was in a rush to get to Zumba Gold. We did get there on time. Our regular teacher was back, and I felt less lost during the session. There are still some moves I'm struggling with... but I am up to struggling with them, not just giving up and waiting for something more doable. I also got to talk with a few folks during the breaks and after it was over. So, I enjoyed the class. My main nurse took me home again after it was done. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

After breakfast, I read a manga, yes, a print copy of a Japanese comic book. Eventually I got onto the internet and browsed and the web. I also played Cross Stitch World right over lunch. Then I wrote up my daily update, with breaks for Cross Stitch World. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I checked who was on; didn't spot a friend I often talk with. So, I worked on setting up the character Kitten designed to for the next few levels, since they recently started gaining levels for a while. Then I started to set up another character who recently started to gain level for a while. I pause levelling to be able to play more content on each character, so going up is in spurts. I broke to go to my class. When we got back home, I had dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and caught up on reading web comics. Then I started making notes in this. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, and finished setting up the second character, and began doing some hunts they picked up. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server off and on.  I broke to make more notes in this, then went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I looked at who I've established contact with who is on and said hi to Rav. We chatted, and I showed him a tutorial. I ran it with him when I realized my character hadn't done it yet, either. Then I showed him a couple more things he asked about. He got busy setting something up, so I played Cross Stitch World, checking on Rav occasionally. Eventually, Rav left. Then I did some paperwork. Next, I made notes in this. I ended with more Cross Stitch World than I quite meant to play. {Smile}

Daily Update May 20, 2025

On Tuesday, before breakfast, I noticed a call from the driver who took me to the monthly meeting/picnic the day before. I called. Yes, the meeting was on, and she hoped my nurse could take me, because she'd scheduled someone else. I told my relief nurse, apologizing for the short notice. {smile}

After breakfast, I got ready, and my relief nurse took me to the park where they were having the picnic. they soon started an early lunch, talking the whole time. It ran late, in part because a disabled sports group came, and some of their folks knew some of ours, so much visiting ensued, not just catching up with folks they knew, but meeting new folk, too. We finally broke up and left when my relief nurse came to pick me up and take me home. {Smile}

I didn't do any real exercise, but between the line dancing on Monday, and the Zumba Gold I hope to do Wednesday, I expect to be okay. I felt like I'd earned a day off after an hour and a half of line dancing anyway. {Smile}

When I got home, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then I read web comics before I started writing Monday's daily update. then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Pierogies said hi, but I thought I'd better check to see if the teen supergroup was meeting today. I was the was the second to get there, but it soon got going. We roleplayed a fair while. Then we started to do a story arc our leader had picked for everyone being able to do it, even my character, who's still moderately low-level. However, we had to restart, because someone came late. While the full group was going, I offered one of my story arcs, since then we could add late comers. We didn't have late comers, but a member's friend came on a character even lower than mine. My stuff accommodated that nicely. We did two of my story arcs in a row, since the one they picked had a sequel it led into that I could do immediately. That took us up to my dinnertime, and one member's bedtime. {Smile}

After dinner, I finished Monday's daily update and read web comics before going back into city of Heroes: Homecoming. Kitten said hi, but I'd promised to check on the teen supergroup meeting when I got back, so I did. They were still roleplaying, though not doing any more missions. I joined in and welcomed the member's friend, who became our newest member while I was there. Eventually, that ended, with others heading to bed or at least switching to getting ready for that. So, I teamed up with kitten on the character they're designing. We a story arc, then another contact, doing a story arc and less closely related missions both. Eventually we parted, and I worked on paperwork with a break for web browsing before ending the night with quick notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 19, 2025

On Monday after breakfast. my relief nurse took me to my line dancing class. It was at an alternate location, and we got there a little early. I chatted a little before class, but not much, I enjoyed the class very much though I had to text my relief nurse because I'd forgotten water. He brought some, I think when he was done with other errands. I also enjoyed talking more with one of my classmates after class. I showed him the over-shoe dance socks he'd inspired me to get. We also discussed our dancing experiences. Afterwards, my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

That was my exercise: an hour and a half of dancing with only a few short breaks. {Smile}

When I came home after class, I had lunch. Then I hopped onto my computer. I started browsing the web and playing Cross Stitch World. Then I moved on to reading web comics. Next, I began writing up my daily update. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming late and looked for friends immediately. I teamed up with Pierogis and Kitten, and we started doing missions. Dennis joined us, and we did some more missions before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and read a web comic before I finished writing up Sunday's daily update. I got into City of Heroes: Homecoming late again. When I did, I teamed up with Kitten on a high-level but not endgame-ready character, and we did missions for the rest of the evening. We did enough missions that I feel my character is coming along nicely. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server, expecting to talk at least some the next day. After Kitten and I broke up for the evening, I started notes in this, taking at least one break to do City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 18, 2025

On Sunday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We knew we'd be late, since the service starts at nine, and I don't get up that much before that. We arrived pretty near the middle of the service, which may have been long due to being our pastor's last day. We got there in time to hear a special prayer for our priest by the newly founded chapter of Daughters of the King. There were other special prayers in the main service for our priest, and a hula with everyone singing at the end. {Smile}

Then lunch was a huge spread. We usually eat well, but folks outdid themselves. During lunch, I found a Daughters of the King cross on the floor. Looking around, I spotted a table with at least four members sitting at it, so I took it there, and handed it over. They announced it, and it got back to its owner. Also, during lunch my main nurse and I gave her going away presents for her and her daughter. Oddly, no one else did, but that's up to them. Afterwards, my main nurse took me home> {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. Sunday is a rest day between walking on Saturday and dancing on Monday. {Smile}

When we got home, I unwound on my computer, browsing the web and playing Cross Stich World. Then I read web comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I got together with Kitten and Pierogies, with Dennis joining us quickly. We ran missions on the new low-level villain, getting her a few levels. Thie went almost up to dinner. I filled in what little time I had left with paperwork. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World, then slowly wrote up Saturday's daily update. I got into City of Heroes: Homecoming a bit late. I checked on friends immediately and said hi. Kitten invited me to the villain team they were on just as they started a low-level trial. I did a few missions with them after the trial until Phonso invited me to a taskforce. By the team was down to three folks: the leader, Kitten, and me. The leader left, and Kitten and I joined Phonso's taskforce. We ran it. I was disappointed to realize I'd failed to talk with Nox on the chat server. After the taskforce, Phonso ran a strike force. Kitten and I joined. It ran just over half full but did fine. Phonso knows how much to lower the difficulty to make things doable for a smaller team. After the taskforce, I did paperwork and made notes in this with breaks for Cross Stitch World and a little more paperwork. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 18, 2025

On Saturday before lunch, my main nurse took me out. We had been thinking about walking around Liliu'okalani Gardens again, but it was raining too heavily for walking outside. We still stopped for a popsicle. That was our first stop. I picked mango cream when they were out of lilikoi creme. I ate it with the plastic pouch around it again, though it melted much less because the day was that much cooler, as it can be, especially with rain. {smile}

I finished the popsicle just as we got to Prince Kuhio Plaza. WE walked around the plaza, in the main, fully enclosed and air-conditioned part. I stopped at the comic store, where I found four regular book-sized book at 35% off each because they're having a going out of business sale. No, they aren't doing badly financially, but they need to concentrate on their health more than running the store allows. I looked around a little more but paid and left pretty quickly for me. Even with much of the store either 35% off or 50% off, I thought I should leave before I found more to get, too. {Chuckles}

I looked for my main nurse, but didn't spot him. So, I texted him to let him know I was done. He quickly came and got me. He admired the books, and the special I'd got them on. He agreed that leaving before I bought more might be a good plan, too.

After that, we walked back towards the car until we ran into a hula show by a bunch of young girls. We watched the rest of the piece they were in the middle of, followed by the next three pieces, until that group's part of the show was done. then we went back to the car, and my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

Walking around Prince Kuhio Plaza was my exercise, including a little back and forth looking for my main nurse. {Smile}

Before our trip out, I browsed on the web while I got ready. In the car, mostly talked with my main nurse on the way out. On the leg to Prince Kuhio, I was busy enjoying my popsicle, of course. I mostly slept on the way back, but I also played a little Cross Stitch World. When we got back, I had lunch. then I played some Cross Stitch World, read comics and browsed web s I settled in. Next, I wrote up much of Friday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did paperwork. After that, I said hi to friends, and teamed up with Kitten and Naruto. We finished the story arc that Naruto and I started the other night. then we said goodbye-for-now, and I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up the rest of Saturday's daily update and read web comics before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and said hi to friends. Then I got together with Kitten, and we started doing missions together on the character they're designing for me. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server. After Kitten and I did two or three missions, Dragons joined us. After a few more missions, Rav joined us, too. We continued to do my missions, running out three contacts that were only partially done. We also visited a lot on the side. At that point, I was happy to let my character gain a few levels, but while I was setting that up, Dragons left to join a friend running higher level missions. Then Rav left too, and Kitten admitted they were tired, then fell silent. So, I did paperwork and made notes in this with breaks for less Cross Stitch World than usual. I've figured out that while Cross Stitch World lets me feel productive, I'm actually more productive in City of Heroes: Homecoming. At least there I contribute to a Homecoming-wide game economy that includes six servers within the group, and thousands of players. Cross Stitch World has nothing comparable. I'm working alone, benefitting no one but myself.  Anyway, I ended the evening with a teensy bit more paperwork on City of Heroes: Homecoming and finishing my notes in this. I tired and succeeded in going to bed slightly earlier for the second day in a row. My nurses are pushing that I need to sleep longer, so I did, thought they would like much more. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 16. 2025

On Friday, I stayed home and took it easy. I just got settled into my computer early, and there I stayed. It's nice to have a quiet day once in a while. {Smile}

I didn't even do any exercise. I'm less happy about that, but I can make up for that another day. {Smile}

In the morning, I played Cross Stitch World and read web comics. I'm catching up on a new series I've started with the comics. Then I had lunch and wrote up Thursday's daily update. After that, I began notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I also talked with Pierogies, but too close to the villain supergroup meeting for us to team up and play together. I went to that villain supergroup meeting next. Only the leader and one other longtime member turned up. Dr. Faustus did not; the leader thought he's having internet trouble. We three talked a long time, but didn't play together. This gave me a chance to finally get to know the other two a little better. I haven't had many chances to do that, because we're usually so busy playing. After we finally said goodbye, I did paperwork and made notes in this until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and read web comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and talked with Nox on the chat server. Then I created a character I'd discussed with one of the villain supergroup members. When she was made, I started the tutorial solo, which is the usual way to do it. In the middle of it, Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I left the new character in the tutorial and joined Phonso. Rav said hi while we were recruiting, but they were too low level to join us. I talked with Rav and Pierogies while running it. When that taskforce was finished, Phonso wanted to do a second taskforce. The second taskforce he picked was low enough for Anhela to join, so they did. Pierogies didn't feel up to it, so we just continued to talk. Azurette and another friend of mine joined too. After the second taskforce I did some paperwork. Then I got together with Rav and Naruto, and we started a contact that both Naruto and I could both get. Rav left after one mission, but Naruto and I ran one more mission. Then I did more paperwork and made notes in this, pausing to check some books on Amazon. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 15, 2025

On Thursday after breakfast I had my online counselling appointment. I thought it went well. We had so much to talk about, we ran out of time, but we planned to get to some things next time or cover them in more depth. {Smile}

Then my main nurse took me to Target a while after lunch. I picked out going away gifts for our priest's daughter and remembered one for our priest that I have at home. Next, my main nurse took me home again. {Smile}

My exercise was walking around Target, including back and forth a couple of times. the day after Zumba Gold, that should be enough, I hope. {Smile}

After counselling, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World right over lunch. I also started writing up Wednesday's daily update during lunch and finished it a while later. Then we took our trip to Target. On the way to and from there, I played Cross Stitch World. When I got home, I started making notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I said hi to a few different friends and started talking with Kitten and Rav. Then Pierogis said hi, and he, Kitten, and I got together. We talked a lot, making plans to watch a show while farming. After a while, Rav joined us and joined in on eth e farm and the show. Kitten picked the show. We had time for only one episode before Rav and I needed to leave for dinner, and Pierogis for bed. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch Worls and made more notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I said hi to Kitten, and we teamed up with me on the character they designed for me. We did a mission or two before Kitten went quiet. While waiting for Kitten to respond, Divi invited me to a taskforce with a theme for the team. I almost joined, but kitten responded, prompting me to start a timed mission for the two of us. However, Kitten went quiet again and eventually faded out, not even entering the mission, and eventually timed out. I was committed because of the time limit, so I did it by myself, moving cautiously because that character is still moderately low-level, and the setting was higher than I usually use when playing by myself at that level. I did get it done in time. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server before they went to bed. After the timed mission, I did paperwork. Next, Divi invited me to a regular taskforce. We ran it with some of his other friends. I talked with him and a mutual friend of ours a fair while afterwards. Then I did paperwork, followed by Cross Stitch World. Next, I more notes in this, then wound down for the evening by playing more Cross Stitch World and playing by myself a bit in City of Heroes: Homecoming. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 14, 2025

On Wednesday in the late afternoon, my main nurse took me to Zumba Gold. A new fellow led the class instead of the gal who led us before. I know she was sick the week before last, but she said she was getting better last week. I hope she hasn't had a relapse or secondary infection or anything. anyway, our new teacher was more energetic. He did more moves I plain couldn't do, including pivot turns, and a long series of taps while standing on one leg repeated on the other leg. {rueful smile}

My main nurse talked about it on the way home. He liked it but commented a few times on how much the class had shrunk. We had had around sixty before, but closer to twenty this week. Oh, and I forgot my weights, but this guy never used weights anyway. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

Before lunch, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. After lunch, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then I began writing up Tuesday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming to start on paperwork. Next, I went back out to finish writing up Tuesday's daily update. After that, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did more paperwork until Kitten said hi. then I stopped to team up with them, and we squeezed in a mission or two before Zumba Gold. When I got home after Zumba Gold, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and found Kitten. We teamed up for two or three missions before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and started making notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I talked with Rav. and with Kitten. Rav was in a farm. They invited me to join, but Kitten was in a giant monster hunt that I tried to join. The team got the monster too fast, despite Kitten thinking they were giving up. So, Kitten and I talked, and Kitten talked to the former leader of the team. They were not finding more giant monsters, so I talked them into doing a summonable giant monster. We three got that one. Next, Rav joined as the leader found a pair of giant monsters, and recruited some more to help us take them down. After that, the team broke up. Most left, including Rav. Kitten and I teamed up and did several missions. I chose the character they're designing. when I felt that I should start winding down before bed, I did paperwork. Then I made more notes in this with a couple of short breaks. {Smile}

Daily Udpate, May 13, 2025

On Tuesday, over and after breakfast, I pushed myself to finish a manga that I'd only read 1/3rd of so far. I'd just learned near bedtime the previous night that it was overdue at the library, along with one I'd finished already. I did finish it before lunch. {Smile}

I took those two books and one other I'd finished to the public library with my relief nurse's help. I returned the books, and paid the fines for the overdue ones, since they were late enough to have accrued fines. I also borrowed a book on reserve that had come in. Then I picked out three more books and borrowed them. After that, my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

I didn't do much exercise the day after an hour and a half of line dancing. I don't think there was enough walking around at the public library to really count. {Smile}

After we got back from the library, I had lunch. Then I played Cross Stitch World and began writing up Monday's daily update. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. Then I wrote some more of Monday's daily update. After that, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did more paperwork and said hi to a few of my friends. The I joined Rav in a team with one other player. I realized they were starting a story arc on low-level characters and got one of mine after one mission. She could do that story arc they were doing if we redid that mission, so we did. We continued that story arc and also started another story arc. Well, they did; my character had too many other things going to start that story arc too. Next, we went back to the story arc we could all do until Rav's friend left for dinner. After that, Rav and I talked, and I learned they wanted to make a game-money expensive character quickly. I gave them some game cash for it, since I really have more than I'll need. I just wish real cash was easy to make as game cash has been. Next, Rav left to start their new character shortly before my relief nurse called me to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and finished writing up Monday's daily update. I also read a web comic/ then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Pierogies said hi, and while we were talking, Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I asked Pierogies, and he was up for it. So, we both joined him, and he recruited an almost full team who ran it. After the taskforce, the team broke up and Pierogies left for bed. I stayed, and Phonso recruited a new team for another taskforce. During recruitment, Naruto said hi. I hoped to get him into the taskforce, but his character isn't quite high enough level yet. I ran it with Phonso's team. and talked with Naruto a few times. I hoped to join up afterwards, but he left just after we finished the taskforce. I said hi to Rav while I was still hoping Naruto was coming back. Rav was on a high-level team which I joined. We ran a few missions until the leader left, along with some but not quite all the others. Rav, a character who wanted help with a mission that gives a badge, and I remained. We ran a mission that didn't give the badge like we hoped. Then we tried to get the badge another way, but Rav was too low-level. I helped Rav start a couple of the character improving badges while the first leader came back and joined the team again. Then I suggested a badge mission Rav needed for one of them and is high enough for. We did that, then a couple more missions for badges for the others. After that, I left. I did some paperwork and made notes in this. I paused to do more paperwork until I finished the notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 12. 2025

On Monday in the morning, my relief nurse took me to my line dancing class and dropped me off. We had a nice session. I made my first adaptation to the steps on my own because one turn required a pivot, which I can't do in those shoes, or with my severe permanent vertigo. However, the next two steps went together, and if I took both of them to turn, too, I was ready for the rest of the dance. So that's what I did. I made similar adaptations in a later dance or two, also. {Smile}

I'm making friends with some of the other dancers or at least getting friendlier with my acquaintances in class. That is really nice, since I feel a lack in real life relationships. After class, my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

Dance class was my exercise. It was an hour and a half of line dancing, with only the breaks between songs. I didn't sit out even one. {Smile}

After we got home, I had lunch. Then I played some Cross Stitch World. I also browsed on the web, especially reading web comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Next, I got distracted with more web browsing and Cross Stitch World. After that, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming for more paperwork. Then I spotted the later long, large-group event, and joined it. Just after that, I talked briefly with Dennis and Rav before I ran the later long, large-group event. After that, I didn't find either Dennis or Rav around, so I did paperwork until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner I played Cross Stitch World and wrote up Sunday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Next, I browsed on the web. Then I went back to city of Heroes: Homecoming. I talked with Rav, who wanted to make a new character. I said go ahead. Not long after they left, Phonso invited me to a strike force. We waited a while, but Rav was taking their time making the new character. I told Phonso to go ahead and recruit, which he did. I joined at the last moment and ran it. Rav came back during the last mission. They asked if we could add them, but I explained the game won't let you. We finished the strike force. The group disbanded, and Phonso said goodnight. Rav wasn't there right then, so I started on paperwork. Then Rav came back. I got a low-level character, and we hunted together. Then I talked them into doing a story arc, since they're usually quicker at low levels. They liked it so much, they did a second and part of third before we said goodnight. Then I did some paperwork. Next, I made notes in this, with breaks to play Cross Stitch World, read web comics, and browse on the web before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 11, 2025

On Sunday, after breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We got there during the announcements It looks like we'll have one service at 9 o'clock for most of the summer. We often do, with folks saying vacation meaning fewer people coming justifies this somehow. We also tend to if we don't have a regular priest, which we won't after next Sunday. With our priest moving on, we'll have to search for a main priest. This will take time, during which we'll have to get supply priests, who get paid by the service. One service is significantly cheaper than two when supply priests are involved, whether for interims like this, or priest vacations. {smile}

Anyway, the service was nice. I sat with Michelle; Auntie Barbra was busy teaching Sunday School, so she was elsewhere. It's nice going up to the communion rail again. We've just kept doing that since Easter. {Smile}

After the service, I had lunch on the lanai. I sat with some of the parishioners. I talked to the organizer of the new Daughters of the King chapter about starting discernment sooner than mid-summer. I told her I think I need a lot of discernment in my life now. With losing mom as well as Dad, much of my purpose and direction in life in general has been lost. I feel like a need to do something, and this looks more helpful there than most things now. {smile}

I didn't do any exercise. The walk was a fair bit the day before, and I expect to get a good amount of exercise at line dancing class on Monday. {Smile}

After lunch, my main nurse took me home. After I got home, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I found Jenny's player happy to talk and joined her in a taskforce a friend of hers ran. After the taskforce, I did more paperwork. Then I played by myself until the new villain supergroup member said hi. They say to call them Rav. We talked while I finished up what I was doing playing by myself. Then I offered to join them, but they'd just joined a team which was full. However, a space soon opened, and I got it. We finished someone's story arc, and I got a badge. Then the team broke up. I decided with Rav to work on that badge they want. Pierogies, Kitten, and Dennis joined us in short order, and we worked on that until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten and Rav working on the part of that same badge that the character that I'd been using still needed. I joined them happily. My other new friend, Naruto, joined us. We finished that badge for Rav and my character. Then we did a mission of mine, and just continued, finishing a story arc I'd started. Next, we did a hunt and a mission from another contact. After that, Rav and Naruto left for bed, talking about coming back soon. Kitten warned us she works the next two days. Then I switched characters, and levels. Then I did paperwork before I left the game to make notes in this. I broke to play Cross Stitch World and read a web comic before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 10, 2025

On Saturday, after lunch, my main nurse took me to Liliu'okalani Gardens again. We started walking through the park. Then we realized we needed my purse because my nurse wanted me to pay for the popsicles this time. I was happy to do that. Fair is fair; he'd treated me before. He went back for my purse. Then we walked across the park to the "Ice cream parlor" that's still got its best variety in the little Mexican-style popsicles called paletas. I got chocolate fudge. i didn't notice what my main nurse chose. I got them to cut each open so we could pull the plastic back slowly, eating the part sticking out before pulling it back more. This catches the liquid as it melts, which really limits the mess. When I was done, I sucked the melted popsicle that wanted to come out of the bag before tossing it. When we got back to the car, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

That walk was my exercise for the day. It was almost forty minutes of walking, including the trip back to the car and restart because of leaving my purse behind. {Smile}

After breakfast, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web. Then I began writing up Friday's daily update/ This started before lunch and ran right through it. After the trip, I finished writing up Friday's daily update. I also played Cross Stitch World. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I tried to get kitten's attention, but they were busy. I then tried to find someone else to team with, but I ended up giving up. I broke to take a bath with my main nurse's help. Next, I played more Cross Stitch World before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. This time I found Kitten and we teamed up. I chose the character they're designing for me, and we did the last mission of a story arc that character had started. We followed that with much of the next story arc before my main nurse called me to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch world and made some notes in this before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Kitten and started on paperwork. Then Kitten responded. We teamed up and started to finish the story arc we hadn't quite finished before dinner. Then the new villain supergroup member said hi and joined us. She helped us finish that story arc. Next, I switched characters for one closer to her level. While I was switching, I thought of the stat improving badges. She really wanted one of the more difficult ones to get, but Kitten and I each know one we can get for folks relatively quickly, so we did those two. Dennis joined us in the middle and got them for a character too. My new friend wants the others, too, but agrees that will be another night. All three of the others left after those two badges. After that, I did a mix of paperwork, Cross Stitch World, and notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 9, 2025

On Friday, my main nurse took me to Safeway to pick up a prescription. He got some sale items at the same time because he like's Safeway's Five Dollar Friday specials. I do agree that they're often quite good cost saving. After that, we stopped by my bank to deposit two checks. Then he took me home. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. After three hours of dancing minus rests, my home nurse thought I'd earned a day's rest. I felt he was right. {Smile}

After the trip out, I had lunch while I began browsing on the web and playing Cross Stitch World. Those activities ran right into the afternoon. Then I wrote up much of Thursday's daily update but not all before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I teamed up with Kitten and Pierogies. We did a mission together, during which Dr. Faustus reminded me of the villain supergroup meeting which I'd been planning to attend. I left for villain supergroup meeting after the mission. I got there on time, though I was the last of four members to arrive. That doesn't include Dr. Faustus's new friend, who he invited to join us after checking with us. She came quickly, clearly excited to join an established group. The five of us ran a strike force together. Then we talked a fair bit gradually winding down and breaking up. After the last of the others left, I did paperwork. I started talking with Nyxy a bit, then stopped the paperwork to show her the character who belongs to the villain supergroup. I'm wondering if that character might get along with one or two of hers for roleplaying. We filled the short time until dinner with more talk. {Smile}

After dinner I played some Cross Stitch World. Then I finished Thursday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I said hi to Kitten, Jenny's Player, and a new friend. Kitten didn't respond. Jenny's player responded a little, but she was clearly distracted. However, my new friend quickly teamed up with me, leaving the pick-up-group he'd been playing with. We ran the last mission of the arc we'd started the other days, chatting a lot. Then we chatted even more before we started the next arc. Not that we stopped chatting while playing. He left after the first mission, but not before making plans to get together again the next day and finish. After he left, I did some paperwork. then I played by myself on my third best badge collector to get a couple of badges and a power I thought I already had when the paperwork revealed I didn't have them yet. After that, I started making notes in this. I took a break to respond to Nox on the chat server long after they'd gone to bed. They'll find it when they check the next day. Then I finished the notes and went to bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 8, 2025

On Thursday, late in the morning, my main nurse took me to the building where I've done the last couple of line dancing classes. They had a gathering of folks from beginning line dance classes from all over the island. We danced for three hours, though I sat out a couple because my body wanted a break, and several more because there is only so much turning my severe permanent vertigo will allow. Still, most of the three hours it lasted was dancing for me. {Smile}

I also met some new people and maybe began to make and firm up friendships. I also met a librarian from when I was volunteering at the university library. She remembered me making her a lei for her retirement. Yes, I'm in the window where I can meet school employees from when I was a student at senior-only events. {Smile}

I'm pretty happy with how much dancing I did, and the socializing, too. My main nurse is over the moon about how much dancing I did. He says the nursing company owner is, too. He was crowing as we started home... and no, I'm not sore. Yes, my main nurse asked. I'm fairly good at avoiding stuff that will make me sore. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day, and probably the next day, too. {Smile}

After I got back, I browsed the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I teamed up with Pierogies. We did a couple of missions. Dennis joined us in the last one. Then I had to leave for dinner already, since the dancing made me start much later than usual. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web. Then I wrote up Wednesday's daily update and started making notes and writing in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I said hi to Dr. Faustus and joined him in a group of four where a new player was working through a low-level story arc. We did a couple of missions. Then Phonso said hi, and invited me to a taskforce. I consulted group and left them to join Phonso after the mission. They finished the story arc while I joined the taskforce with their blessings. I ran the taskforce with Phonso. Next, I chatted with Divi afterwards, learning they had been in the group. I said goodnight to Nox, having missed a chance to chat. Then I did some paperwork followed by doing some missions and hunts by myself. Next, I played Cross Stitch World and made notes in this. I also read a web comic. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 7, 2025

On Wednesday, late in the afternoon, my main nurse took me to my Zumba Gold class. We arrived late, but I kept up with the class once I got there. I let the instructor know I hoped she was feeling better after calling it off for a week. Then my main nurse took me home afterwards, with an errand along the way. {Smile]

I think I got a good bit of exercise at my Zumba Gold class, enough I shouldn't need more. Especially since I have a particularly large dance event the next day. {Smile}

In the late morning, my main nurse helped me clean myself up. then I had lunch, through it and after it, I browsed the web, read web comics, and played Cross Stitch World. Then I wrote up Tuesday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then I said hi to Pierogies, Ulty, and Jenny's player. I chatted with Ulty, apologizing for forgetting yesterday's teen supergroup meeting. i found out what they did, and let her know she can always remind her, and I'll usually come, giving it priority. Then I started to play by myself on the teen supergroup member. I noticed a fellow asking to team around my own level. I switched to a character I'd like to get more done on who's the same level. We got together and did two-thirds of a favorite story arc of mine before I left for class. We also established longer term connections before I left. {Smile}

After class came dinner. After dinner, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then I made notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. Then Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a mission of his, and a hunt and a mission of mine. Next, he went off to bed, tired, but happy we got together. I was so happy we got together too. I continued with more paperwork. I said hi to Dr. Faustus, who suggested we do a mission he has that can help improve a character. It took me longer than I expected to find a character who needed it, but I eventually found one, as I knew I would. We did the mission. After that, he helped me start a story arc. Then he left, and I did a mix of more paperwork, Cross Stitch World, and making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 6, 2025

On Tuesday, the relief nurse and I went out to run a couple of errands before lunch. I enjoyed talking on the way. We went back home afterwards. {Smile}

Before that, the housekeeper came. She stayed until we'd been home a fair while after our trip out. At the end of her visit, I tentatively broached the idea of going from every week to every other week. She was actually relieved, since she lives far enough out of town, and I live on the far side of town from her at that, so it's hard to get here every week. We're both happy with every other week, and my budget should be a little happier too. {Smile}

I also read a lot of a manga- about three quarters of it, I think. That's a lot in one day for me. It's about an invisible man and his girlfriend, who's blind. it's fascinating to see how this fits together. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. After an hour and a half of line dancing the day before, I felt a break should be okay. {Smile}

After breakfast, the housekeeper showed up. then I browsed the web and played Cross Stitch World until we ran the errands. After the errands, I had lunch. Next, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Kitten and I got together and started to do some of my moderately low-level hunts and missions on the character they designed. Then Pierogies joined us, followed by Dennis. The four of us ran right up to dinnertime. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Monday's daily update. Then I played Cross Stitch World and read web comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. Then Phonso invited me to a strike force. I joined it, and we ran it. I also talked with Nox on the chat server. After the strike force, Phonso and I joined a taskforce someone else was advertising and ran it. Then Phonso left, and I settled into paperwork, followed by a little Cross Stitch World and some web browsing. After that, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming for more paperwork. I started talking to Dr. Faustus, who invited me to a themed taskforce. They even restarted for me It ran late, but I finished it. Then I made note in this with breaks to read two short web comics. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 5, 2025

If you celebrated Boys' Day on the fifth of May, happy Boys' Day! Or if you call it Children's Day, happy Children's Day. If instead you celebrated Cinco de Mayo instead, then happy Cinco De Mayo. If none apply, I hope you had a nice day. {Smile}

On Monday after breakfast, my relief nurse took me to line dancing and dropped me off. He didn't come in - not at the beginning, nor later. Okay, it he wants to wait in the car, I guess that's his choice. He took me straight home afterwards. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

After we got home from line dancing, we had lunch. Then I did some web browsing and played Cross Stitch World before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then took a break to read some web comics. Next, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. to find that Kitten had said hi not long before. I got their attention, and we teamed up. We began to work on my stuff. Dennis said hi and joined us. Then Ulty invited us to a taskforce. all three of us joined, and we ran it with a full team that broke up just before dinner. So, I said goodbye and squeezed in a little paperwork before I left. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a fair bit of Cross Stitch World, then wrote up Sunday's daily update. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. I tried to get Kitten's attention, but didn't have any luck. So, I talked with Divi and Ulty. In the middle of that, Phonso invited to the same taskforce I ran that afternoon, but this time the same character could start getting the reward I really want, though the other rewards would be small because of doing them so close together. So, I joined it on the same character. Divi and Ulty both declined to join, but Dr. Faustus joined on his own. We ran with a barely over half full team but did fine. After that, both Phonso and Dr. Faustus left. I did paperwork, then played Cross Stitch World. Next, I did some tests for my counselor. After that, I made notes in this with a break or two for more Cross Stitch World. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 4, 2025

Sunday was Star Wars Day, because "May the fourth be with you." If you celebrated it, I hope you had a good one. If not, I hope you had a nice day. {SMILE}

After breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. while there, we had an investiture for The Daughters of the King, whish our congregation is starting a local chapter of. I went up and swore in with the others. I still need to do the introductive study, but I felt quite certain this was the right step for me, so I did, and I stand by it. Though that surprised the organizer, but she said it lifted her spirits after another gal bowed out at the last minute. The rest of the service was nice too. {Smile}

Lunch on the lanai afterwards was nice too. I sat with some gals and the main nurse, and we got to talk a fair bit, including our priest, the leader of the local chapter of Daughter of the Kings, and the gal who's joining later, when life gives her more time. the food was good, too. Then my main nurse took me home afterwards. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise on Sunday. I just hope that between that 40-minute walk Saturday and an hour and a half line dancing class the next day, maybe a day off isn't too bad. {Smile}

When I got back from church, I played a lot of Cross Stich World before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did paperwork until Pierogies said hi. He wasn't feeling great, so he wanted to watch a video at first. So, we did that together. Then we ran a story arc of mine on a moderately low-level character. I also talked with Nyxy. After the story arc, Pierogies and I watched another video. Then he left, saying goodnight. Next, I did paperwork and talked with Nyxy until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a fair bit of Cross Stitch world before I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with a little paperwork and looked around. Not much was going on, so I wrote up my daily update. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and ran a solo mission on the same character as before dinner. Next, I said hi to Divi and Dr. Faustus. I joined Dr. Faustus and the same friend he was with the last time I joined him in the last mission of the story arc before the story arc that Pierogies and I ran this afternoon. Then we ran the same story arc, with Dr. Faustus's friend recasting the events to fit her character. They both left afterwards, and I did more paperwork. Next, I played a lot of Cross Stitch World around making notes in this When the notes were mostly done, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming to work on paperwork. Kitten found me, and showed me their new, kitten-sized character costume. Then I finished my notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 3, 2025

On Saturday, my main nurse took me to Liliu'okalani Gardens. We walked down by the small boat dock then back. Next, we went, through part of the park to the popsicle stand. My main nurse had to look over the popsicle stand, but he didn't stop to buy anything. So, we continued on back to the car. {Smile}

Next, we picked up his wife at the airport. Then we went back to the popsicle stand to get stuff this time. I picked a Haupia popsicle. I do love Haupia, remembering how Mom and Dad would get excited and usually pick Haupia if it was available. Now I think of it as a special treat too. After that, we went home, dropping his wife off on the way. {Smile}

I got a phone call from Auntie Barbara after dinner. She wasn't feeling well enough for church the next morning and wanted to warn me about that. {Smile}

I also got a phone call from my relief nurse after I cleaned myself up after dinner. He just wanted to talk as friends, which doesn't happen as much when he's being my nurse somehow. It was good to hear from him in another context. {Smile}

Walking around the gardens was my exercise Saturday. That was forty minutes worth of exercise, too. My main nurse is impressed, though he assures me we don't have to do forty minutes every time. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed the web right through lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming but only worked on paperwork until our trip out. There was a fair bit, and I didn't want to start chatting, only to have to bow out when we left. After the trip out, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork again but was happy to get together with Pierogies when he said hi. We worked on the same badges for lower-level characters until Pierogies left a little before dinner. I did some more paperwork, then started getting ready for dinner slightly early. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and chatted with Kitten on the chat server. Then came my phone call from Auntie Barbara. After that, I cleaned myself up with main nurse's help. Then came my phone call from my relief nurse as friend to friend. After that, I chatted on the chat server and read web comics before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then played by myself on a moderately low-level character. Then I said hi to Dr. Faustus, Divi, Ulty, Jenny's Player, and Nyxy. I talked particularly with Dr. Faustus and Nyxy. I joined Dr. Faustus and a friend of his in doing moderately low-level villain missions. Then Dragons said hi, and joined us. When the moderately low-level mission was done, Dragons offered their moderately high-level villain missions. We ran a few until we finished that line of missions. That's when Dr. Faustus and his friend left. Next, Dragons joined another friend, and I joined them, too. We ran a few moderately high-level hero missions. Another person joined us along the way. Then I left and did paperwork. After that, I made notes in this, pausing to play Cross Stitch World before I finished notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 2, 2025

On Friday I did errands with my relief nurse late in the morning. including picking up a new medicine prescribed by my cardiologist. Yet somehow, I forgot and took the baby aspirin I'm supposed to stop when I start the new one. So, I'll have to actually start it another day. My relief nurse shopped too and did a couple of other errands before taking me home. {Smile}

My exercise was walking across the parking lot and across Safeway. It was the narrow way in both cases, but the relief nurse still estimates it was a quarter of a mile. I hope that's enough. I can do more tomorrow, when my main nurse comes back. {Smile}

After breakfast I read web comics and browsed on the web before the errands. After the errands I had lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with a fair bit of the paperwork that is best done at the beginning of a weekend. I deliberately got onto the villain SG member around the time we usually meet. The leader said hi, and that he was considering calling off the meeting because he and I were the only ones actually there. However, when I said I was open to meeting, he got Dr. Faustus to join us. Dr. Faustus spotted a moderately low-level trial we could join. We did, and ran it, getting all the badges it gives. Then, before the others left, they helped me start a story arc my character had that I really want to do on that character. Then Pierogies said hi just after they left. He proceeded to help me get a badge I needed for an even bigger badge that improves my character. He even had me leave my character so he could continue to help while I ate dinner, and we continued after that until I got the badge that we worked so hard towards. However, I did not the badge that improves my character. I discovered one more badge I need for it. Pierogies admitted that he was tired, and we agreed it would be much easier with another friend or two, so we said goodnight. {Smile}

I settled into playing for the evening with paperwork. I also chatted with Divi, Ulty, Jenny's Player, and Nyxy. I joined Ulty, Jenny's Player, and Nyxy for a couple of missions with some of their friends. Then the team broke up so the others could go to bed. I started on some pretty extended paperwork. then I played by myself, doing a mission h ere and a mission there on moderately low-level characters. Unfortunately, I set the last mission too hard. I gave up when it got late, after a little break for paperwork. Next, I started making notes and writing in this with a couple of breaks to play Cross Stitch World before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, May 1, 2025

I hope everyone had a happy May Day, that is if you celebrate it. If not, I hope you had a nice day. {Smile}

On Thursday, after dinner, we had a power failure. While waiting for the power to come back, I finished a manga I've been reading, talked with my relief nurse, and chatted with Nox on the chat server courtesy of my phone. Then I got a phone call from Auntie Barbara, and we chatted with fewer distractions than usual. The power came back during the phone call, but it went out again not long after that. I was just settling in on my computer when it went out the second time. I talked with my relief nurse some more and went back to chatting with Nox on the chat server before it came back a second time and stayed on this time. {Smile}

Earlier in the day wasn't uneventful, either. After breakfast, I had online counselling, which went well. Talk about Dungeons & Dragons tried to take over, but that showed me I really need to look into that locally. It should help my social life, and maybe more. {Smile}

Next, I ran errands with my relief nurse, including a long one that pushed lunch late. We managed to pick up some fast food that let me start eating before I got sick from hunger, though, so it all worked out. {Smile}

Then, in the middle of the afternoon, I had an appointment with my cardiologist. It was nice to finally see my own cardiologist again, instead of a different cardiologist or a nurse practitioner. They didn't to the standard EKG, because they didn't want to make me get pretty much undressed for it, and with the corset for the diastasis recti, I would have had to. They would have done it if I'd reported concerning symptoms like heart palpitations or unusual shortness of breath, but those were lacking, so it didn't seem worth the bother to them. {Smile}

My main exercise was a fairly long walk in and out of the hospital for my cardiology appointment. I walked right past new construction and around half the building to a back entrance I never noticed before. Well, it's what passes for a front entrance right now, but it's usually a back entrance. {Smile}

On the errands, I played Cross Stitch World. Then, at the end of the errands and after that, I had lunch. Next, I wrote up Wednesday's daily update before my trip to my cardiologist. I played more Cross Stitch World while waiting. After we got back home, I started notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten. Pierogies, and Dennis in a mission, and joined them. We ran that mission right up to my dinnertime, so I went straight to dinner after we finished. {Smile}

After dinner came the power failure. After the power failure, I made notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork, then went back out to read web comics. After that, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Kitten, Divi, and Ulty, and talked with Divi and Ulty while playing by myself. I eventually got lonely, so I looked for someone to team with. I checked with Kitten again, but they still didn't respond. So, I checked with Divi. He was winding down, and busy with someone else. So, I checked with an acquaintance and joined them for a couple of missions. Another acquaintance joined us in the second mission. Then I said goodnight and did some paperwork. After that, I made notes in this, with a break to play Cross Stitch World before I finished the notes. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 30, 2025

On Wednesday after breakfast, my main nurse and I discovered we were low in toilet paper. We were surprised to learn I'd just put the last roll on the wall. So, we went to Target. My nurse left me browsing books while he picked up toilet paper and a few other things. I found three books I was interested in. I decided to reserve two on Amazon and possibly try them through the library before buying. They looked popular enough that the public library should have them. I bought the third, a fine hardback copy with fancy endpapers and such of a book I have in plain trade paperback. {Smile}

Then my main nurse took me home again. On the way, I found the book I'd just gotten barely cheaper on Amazon. I'm not unhappy. forty-some cents are worth knowing it won't get damaged in shipping. I ordered the sequel in a similarly fine copy for even less on Amazon. {Smile}

Walking around Target was my exercise. I did an almost full circuit plus a major backup for over a full time around the store's worth of walking, and it's one of the biggest stores in Hilo. {Smile}

After the trip to Target, I ate lunch while browsing the web. The web browsing ran into the afternoon. Then I wrote up Tuesday's daily update and began notes for this. I also talked with Kitten on the chat server. They encouraged me to get into City of Heroes: Homecoming, which I did next. I started with a tiny bit of paperwork. Then I got together with Pirerogies and Kitten. Pierogies asked about collecting badges on villains. That reminded me that my highest villain was one mission away from the last badge that improves a character particularly directly. We did the whole story are. My character got the badge with its improvement after the first mission, so the rest of the story arc was a test run. That character now has all the improvements of that type available through badges. After that, Pierogies wasn't feeling up to more missions. So, Pierogies, kitten and I watched a two-part My Little Pony episode. We all enjoyed it, but Pierogies was tired enough, he went to bed after that. Then I switched to the character which Kitten designed, and we did a hunt, which Kitten helped me to finish, followed by one mission that we did together before my dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I made more notes in this, then briefly checked the chat server before I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork, then played by myself for a while. A chatted a little with Nox on the chat server. I also briefly talked to Ulty, Jenny's player, and Nyxy. then I played by myself some more before I joined them. We roleplayed me dropping by to say hi and wish them a goodnight, mainly. After that, Phonso said hi, and invited me to a taskforce. I joined it and we ran it. Then he left, and I did paperwork until I bumped into a friend who says to call them Bey. We teamed up and he recruited some more folks. We did a few high-level individual missions with a not-quite-full team. Then Bey left, as did some of the others, but I and another stayed. I recruited another and we did a mission Then I recruited another, and we did another mission. Then one left, and we did two more missions before the team broke up, in part because I needed to wind down before bed. First, I did paperwork, then I made mots this. Cross Stitch World, reading web comics, and making more notes in this rounded out my evening. {Smile}
