After breakfast, I contacted Uber. The driver they connected me to was 14 minutes away, so I was glad I'd called earlier He came and took me to church, and I still got there during the announcements. The service was pretty nice, though I sat alone. {Smile}
I had lunch with friends, including Auntie Barbara, on the lanai. Then I went home with Auntie Barbara, who was taking two others home, but mine was the first stop. She came in to visit Mom, and we sang with her: parts of three songs. {Smile}
I ate dinner with Mom and read to her before that. Mom was a little groggy when I went in. I was late again, I fear. Mom wasn't always looking at the pictures this time, but I think she was listening even when she had her eyes closed. She did enjoy some of the pictures of kids. I started with scripture and thoughts about it first. Then I read a Christmas card from a friend. Next, I showed her pictures in _The Picture book of Babies_. After that, I read a story from _Richard Scarry's 5-Minute Stories_. I ended with November 3rd's story, "Little Fox Cub," in _366 Stories for Bedtime_. {Smile}
I did my standing arm weight training while waiting for Uber to come take me to church because they were uncommonly far away. Then I did my arm swinging exercises between reading to Mom and eating dinner. After starting to write this up after playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming, I did my arm resistance exercises, followed by eight of my fourteen walking exercises and my head exercises. After a break, I did my other six walking exercises.
After I got back from church, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork no one I usually team with was there. So, I left to play Vindictus for a while, then went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. I still found no one in the game, but Pierogies and Kitten were talking about character names on the chat server. Since a whole bunch became available yesterday, folks are snapping up ones they particularly want. Pierogies helped me get the name Water Cat. I made a character and got it into the tutorial. There, I noticed someone asking if anyone wanted to team up to pool efforts to get the one badge inside the tutorial. I did, and we both got it. Then I ran the tutorial proper and began setting up the character. Next, Dennis said hi, so I picked a good stopping place and switched characters to team up with Dennis and his best friend for a mission. It stretched a little longer than I hoped, making me late to read to Mom. {smile}
After dinner, I wrote up Saturday's daily update, with breaks to read comics and play Cross Stitch World. Then I hopped into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Dennis, who was impressed with how early I got in, though I could have been quicker yet. We teamed up, and I joined him in a mission. He disconnected before the end. While I waited for him to come back, I saw someone asking if folks wanted to do a taskforce. I said I would if my friend didn't come back. Dennis did come back while we were waited, then promptly disconnected again. He told me he had on the chat server while his character was standing unresponsive right in front of me in the game. He got back online just in time to join the taskforce and did. We both switched to high-level characters, since we were both too low-level for this particular taskforce. Then we ran the taskforce. I got three badges, before the taskforce failed at the beginning of the last battle. So, I didn't get the final badge on this character that time. This isn't the first time I've seen that taskforce fail; it's one of the hardest in the game, if not the hardest. It was too late to run again. I waited while Dennis joined a supergroup. Then we said goodnight. I did some paperwork and began to write this up. Then I started my exercises, with writing, making notes, and City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork in the break, and more writing and notes afterwards, along with a peek at Vindictus and some web browsing. {Smile}
