Daily Update, April 29, 2025

On Tuesday after lunch, my main nurse took me down to Hilo Public Library. I returned three books I was finished with, keeping one I'm reading and the next in that series at home. The one after that isn't in. (I checked later and ordered it because Hilo's branch doesn't have that one.) Then I browsed the shelves. I found two four-book series more-or-less focused on handicaps, or disabilities if you prefer. After notable debate, I got the first two of each, figuring that manga are thick enough, I' have trouble getting through eight more on top of the two still at home. Especially when I'm also working on other books, both comic books and others. I checked out those four books, and my main nurse took me back home. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. After yesterday, I figured I'd earned a rest, though I'll have to figure out something for Wednesday. I got a call saying tomorrow's Zumba Gold is cancelled due to the instructor calling in sick. {smile}

After breakfast, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. Then I browsed the web while having lunch. After lunch was the trip to Hilo Public Library. After the trip, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I soon checked with Ulty, and confirmed the adolescent supergroup was starting to meet up and roleplay together. I quickly finished a particularly long and boring bit of paperwork, since I was finally close to the end. Then joined the adolescent supergroup meeting. We roleplayed together fair while until a gal who had a special story arc worked up came in. We ran it, though I had to bow out before the end because my main nurse called me to dinner just before we started another mission. I'm not sure how many more there were; at least one, but I don't think too many more. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World. Then I wrote up Monday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I checked with Ulty and Jenny's player. They were just heading to bed, and the last members of the adolescent supergroup still at the meeting. Before leaving, Ulty told me about some things that happened after I left. I missed some exciting character developments. However, I spotted Phonso advertising a strike force and joined it. We ran it. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server a little. After the strike force, Phonso left. I did the paperwork that had piled up between the evening's strike force and the afternoon's player-made story arc. Then I began making notes in this, then began alternating between playing Cross Stitch World, making more notes in this, and doing paperwork in City of Heroes: Homecoming. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 28, 2025

On Monday, well, on the night before, I hoped to go to bed earlier/ However, I couldn't find a weekly diabetes medicine I take, though I searched the fridge fairly carefully. I couldn't reach in back to check where it might have been pushed back and fallen down, not without upsetting my balance enough to be a problem. I finally wrote a note for my main nurse, and went to bed later than usual these days, though my bedtime used to be even worse. The next morning, my main nurse had found the medicine, so I took it only a few hours late. That's manageable in a weekly medicine. {Smile}

Then, a little after breakfast, my nurse took me down to my line dancing class. We got the right building on the first try, but it looked like a cafeteria, complete with people eating at long tables. We walked around, trying to find another entrance. Then my main nurse enquired inside, and called me in. Behind the tables was a blank floor and a small stage. That's where our class was gathering.

We filled the blank floor with dancers. I danced for an hour and a half, with a few short breaks between pieces. My main nurse took me home afterwards. He is very impressed. That's longer than with the Zumba Gold on Wednesdays, which has fewer breaks, but is only one hour long. {Smile}

Line dancing was my exercise on Monday. An hour and a half of dancing was enough, I think, and my main nurse agrees. {Smile}

After I got back from the dance class, I had lunch while I browsed on the web. Then I wrote up Sunday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Next, I got ready to work on a villain's badges. Then Pierogies said hi. I learned that he had a slight preference for the later long, large-group event, which was coming soon. So, we joined it as Glen said hi. I explained about it, and he joined it too. We all ran it with the group. Glen was quite happy with the levels he got from it for a new, low-level villain. Afterwards, Pierogies left, tired. Glen and I teamed up and did a mission. We almost started another before my nurse called me to dinner. So, we said goodnight, and I went to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and read web comics. Then I began notes in this before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I started with paperwork. However, I quickly spotted Phonso advertising a taskforce. I said hi and joined it. We ran it together. Then I said goodnight to Phonso, and to Nox on the chat server, having missed talking to them. After that, I did more paperwork and made more notes in this. Then I began talking with Divi, including with friends on the new channel Divi invited me to. Someone there mentioned new badges, and I worked on two of them on my best badge collector, eventually getting them. Next, I did more paperwork and finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update April 27, 2025

On Sunday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to church. We stopped briefly on the way and got there during the announcements that included three important changes in the world. The Roman Catholics are searching for a new Pope after theirs died. Our diocese is looking for a new Bishop because ours is retiring. Our church will be looking for a new priest because our current one is moving back to the mainland to take a new position. The last hits closest to home for me. I wasn't prepared for her to want to leave, but I think she feels called. {smile}

Anyway, it was a nice service. I sat with Autie Barbara and Michelle for the service. We had a good lunch afterwards, too. I sat with Auntie Barbara and my main nurse for that., along with another parishioner or two. Then my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

I didn't really exercise but I'll make up for that with line dancing Monday. {Smile}

After I got home from church, I browsed on the web. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did a lot of paperwork. I also said hi to Kitten, but they mostly didn't respond, so I kept at the paperwork. Then started to work on badges that would improve one of my villains. A while into that, Pierogies said hi and got a character who could work on the same badges. We made progress and even got one for him before he left again. I continued to work on the badges on that and other villains after he left, right up to dinnertime. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a fair bit of Cross Stitch World while thinking... not about the same stuff as the day before. Eventually, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I checked some very low-level characters, working on badges a little as I did. Then I went back to paperwork. I also chatted with Nox on the chat server. This changed when I noticed that Divi (not Div) was advertising a taskforce. I joined it on my seventh-best badge collector and ran it with him and the others he recruited. I chatted with him and some of his other friends afterwards. He invited me to channel where they talk. I chatted there for a while. Then I started paperwork to get my characters using the channel. I'll have to finish another day; there are a lot to check in, and I played a lot of Cross Stitch World, and kept getting distracted with other thoughts. This particular paperwork is more boring than most. I finally stopped and finished my notes. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 26, 2025

On Saturday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to Coconut Island. They had a whole bunch of carp windsocks on bamboo poles lining the bridge. I took pictures of the bridge from a few different vantage points. There were also more carp windsocks on bamboo poles that people were working with in the parking lot.  I didn't think it would be polite to take pictures of the people. I walked around the large oval path that's paved on the island, going stiff-legged on the grass only once to avoid a large puddle. I also stopped and read a few paragraphs about the more recent history of the island on a sign. My nurse and I sat near the end as I drank the electrolyte drink that he'd brought for me. Then we went back towards the car. I stopped to ask a lady what the carp were for. She said they were for Children's Day. Then we went back to the car and drove along the bayfront on the way home. We saw bits of the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival Parade. I also read a bit of a manga on the way home. {Smile}

I watched a few halau (hula schools) dance for the last night of the hula festival's competition over and after dinner. I loved the dance and the memories of watching it with my parents, but with no parents to share it with, and the nurse busy on his computer, it wasn't too hard to come back to my own computer, not when I know I have friends I might find in City of Heroes: Homecoming, or on the chat server. {Smile}

The day before, I got a chocolate tea to try. It has an oddly watery texture, like when a chocolate powder doesn't absorb right, forming a sludge at the bottom and leaving the rest watery. However, only the texture is watery; the taste is fine. I'm getting used to it quickly. This is what my dietician chose as best for my desire for more chocolate. She said try to make the tea work before trying protein bars, which have more problems. I hope it's working nicely. {Smile}

My exercise today was the walk around Coconut Island. I didn't need more after that. {Smile}

After the trip out, I had lunch with web browsing. Then I wrote up Friday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. I talked with Kitten, but they were busy, so I kept on doing paperwork. Then Kitten got free, and we teamed up and ran a few missions until I broke to clean myself with my main nurse's help right before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner and watching the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork again until I spotted a pair of high-level taskforces. I found that my eighth-best badge collector didn't have all the badges from it, so I ran it on her. I discovered Divi was running it, and I did get one of the badges I need for it. I'm down to the hard one which will immediately get two more, since it's the last one. Then I did more paperwork until Dennis said hi. We continued the contact we worked on Friday. Thankfully, the second mission we did was the badge mission we'd tried for so hard. After that, we talked, saying goodnight among other things. Next, I did more paperwork. After that, I played Cross Stitch World and made notes in this. Then I played more Cross Stitch World before going back to City of Heroes: Homecoming. for more paperwork, Next, Kitten said hi, and we teamed up and did two missions. Then I did a tiny bit more paperwork and finished my notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 25, 2025

On Friday, my main nurse called my dentist's office before breakfast. The receptionist called me when she couldn't call him back and confirmed that I did not have a dentist appointment. I suspected not when they didn't remind me, but it's good to know for certain without going down. {Smile}

Then a while after breakfast, my main nurse and I went to Safeway. I picked up two prescriptions, and my nurse got a few groceries we need. Then we drove by the ocean, enjoying the views, but not the traffic. Merrie Monarch week does make for more traffic, especially in spots that attract tourists like beaches with views. I read a lot of a manga on the ride. {Smile}

I didn't do much exercise beyond walking around Safeway, but we have plans for the next day. {Smile}

I read on the trip out, then had lunch when we got home. After lunch, I played a little Cross Stitch World. Next, I wrote most of Thursday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with a good bit of paperwork that's best done at the beginning of a weekend. Kitten said hi, but saw Dr. Faustus was on and asked about the villain supergroup meeting. It was just starting, so I apologized to Kitten and went to it. The villain supergroup ran the last in the series of story arcs, using the one I was holding. We've been doing it for a while... I didn't write this one. After that, I did paperwork until Pierogies said hi. We tried a mission on characters we haven't played in a while, but had enough trouble, we doubted we'd finish before dinner. So, we switched to more familiar characters to do one quick and very familiar individual high-level mission. Like I hoped, it ended right before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a little Cross Stitch World. Next, I finished Friday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I began to talk on and off with Nox on the chat server over much of the evening, too. Then Dennis said hi. He offered me a mission that gives a badge. I figured out that my second-best badge collector needs it and joined him on her. It turned out to be a similar mission that doesn't give a badge from a different contact. We tried all evening to get that badge mission, doing mission after mission on the right contact, but the right mission didn't appear. We finally said goodnight because I had to go. Maybe we can get it some other day. Anyway, I did much of the paperwork from the night of playing with Dennis, though some is left for another day. Then I made notes in this with two breaks for Cross Stitch World before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 24, 2025

On Thursday, I had video counselling at the end of the breakfast. It went pretty well. We talked about my new classes and other stuff, too. {Smile}

Then a while later, my main nurse took me to Hilo Bay Cafe, where we joined Auntie Barbara and Michelle for lunch. I was quiet enough for Auntie Barbara to comment but just couldn't find much to say after confirming that I'd started my new classes and what they were. Or tried to. My main nurse is stuck with calling one "Sliver Sneakers Zumba Gold," and no amount of me telling him they're competitors, like Adidas Nike, makes an impression. {rueful smile}

Then we went to the Naniloa hotel. Auntie Barbara hoped for hula, but we only found craft booths. Michelle found a hat, and I found a couple of bracelets. I think they all were in the Crown Room, which was converted from the usual night club to craft booths for the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival this week. After that, my main nurse took me home. {Smile}

I realized too late in the day to call my dentist's office that they haven't called about the appointment I have on the calendar for the next day. Their calls are automated, and he knows my number, so this is very odd. My nurse said he'll call early the next day to find out if it's still on. If it is, we'll go. If not, we have more free time. {Smile}

Walking around the Naniloa was enough exercise according to my main nurse. I didn't argue about that; I like a day that's freer. {Smile}

Between counselling and lunch, I played a little Cross Stitch World and read some comics. After I came back from joining Auntie Barbara and Michelle, I played Cross Stitch World before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork. then I joined the later long, large-group event. After that I did more paperwork and set up the character Kitten is developing for later play before breaking for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I played a lot of Cross Stitch World while thinking. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with a little paperwork, but not much before Phonso invited me to a strike force. I joined him, and he recruited more with less trouble than night before. I also talked with Nox on the chat world a bit, but they were tired and left after a while. When the strike force was over, Phonso recruited a short taskforce. I ran it with him too. Then I did some paperwork. After that, I read some comics. Next, I began notes in this. Then I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming for more paperwork. Next, I played Cross Stitch World while thinking. After that, I made more notes in this, then played more Cross Stitch World while thinking some more. Then I finished my notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 23, 2025

On Wednesday after breakfast, I had an appointment with my dietician. It went well. It was longer than previous online appoints with her. We had much to talk about, between the new dance classes and some ideas I wanted to check with her about. She suggested the best course forward, which i will try to pursue. {Smile}

After my bath in the late afternoon, we found a black chicken in the dining room. My main nurse promised to chase it out. He eventually succeeded, but the chicken took a tour of the computer room and I'm not sure where else on the way out. I'm sure that was not the idea of my nurse. Later, I spotted two more black chickens in the living room and pointed them out to my main nurse. He opened the front door and chased them towards it, getting them out much more efficiently. Luckily, they were in a room with a door straight out, unlike the first chicken. Also, my main nurse had practice by then, which seemed to help. I noticed he closed all three doors out after getting all the chickens out. He tends to leave one or two of them open until I close them at dinnertime. Also, yes, Hilo has feral chickens all over town, meaning they're domestic breeds that have gone wild. {Smile}

After dinner exercise, I got a phone call from Auntie Barbara. We mainly arranged our meet up tomorrow for lunch, and possibly craft fairs. It was much more tentatively planned before. {Smile}

A while after dinner, I exercised. I started with my arm resistance exercises. Then I did three of my arm weight training. After that I did my head exercises and my arm swinging exercises before finishing up with my other three arm weight training exercises. {Smile}

Before the online meeting, I read a couple of web comics. After the online meeting, I browsed Amazon for stuff my nutritionist liked. Then I played Cross Stitch World and had lunch before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Div came in and said hi. We teamed up and did a couple of missions before they headed out. Then I did paperwork until Pierogies said hi. He asked about the story arc I'm working up. We ran it together. He likes it a lot. He was surprised it was my first attempt. Apparently, most folks struggle to tell stories through this, but my parents would have happily told you I was telling stories while I was still learning to talk and have been doing so ever since. Anyway, we finished the story arc. Then he left, I did paperwork, including making some changes to the story arc, both from Tuesday and Wednesday. I did other paperwork too. Then I broke to clean myself up with my main nurse's help. After that, we found the first chicken. Next, I did some City of Heroes: Homecoming paperwork. After that, I got up and found the other two chickens. Then, before dinner, I set up the character Kitten is designing in City of Heroes: Homecoming for more things to do, {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Tuesday's daily update. Then I exercised before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Phonso invited me to a taskforce. It was slow to fill, so I talked with Divi, Ulty, and Jenny's player, but they were all busy, and didn't join. Then I talked to another friend I talk to less frequently when the taskforce was reluctantly getting ready to go with fewer than preferred. That friend didn't have a suitable character high enough, but I was able to tell her how to change one who is high enough, enough to qualify. She joined us after it finally filled, taking the spot reserved for her. We ran it, and she thanked me for teaching her how to make that change. I also talked with Nox on the chat server during and after the taskforce. After the taskforce, Phonso left, as did my other friend. I did paperwork, then played Cross Stitch World. Then I made notes in this, with breaks for a few comics. I searched Amazon after that. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 22, 2025

On Tuesday my relief nurse and I ran a couple of errands after breakfast. Then we came right back home. {Smile}

After dinner, I did my salsa dancing warmup for exercise, with my relief nurse monitoring me. {Smile}

After we got back from the errands, I had lunch. Then I browsed web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, where I started with paperwork. Then Div said hi, and we chatted. Then we teamed up, doing a mission of his, and one of mine. Kitten joined us partway through. Then Div left, and Kitten said they were tired, and left, too, hoping the night would be better after a rest. So, I did some paperwork until Pierogies said hi. We chatted, and he asked if the (teen) supergroup was meeting. I checked with Ulty, and she said the teen supergroup meeting was not quite an hour away. I thanked her. I teamed up with Pierogies, and we did a mission. Then I switched to my teen superhero and went to the meeting. We did an adventure I am designing in a system that lets you do that. (It's still a work in progress.) The others seemed to like it, but I asked too late to get many reviews. One exciting thing happened that I didn't plan. A tough character went still. (Players usually say died, but unconscious fits far better.) He revived but looked distinctly smaller and around our age instead of slightly older, like he had looked. He said his superpower made him bigger. He happily joined our group. After the mission, we played through formally accepting his character into our group. Then he left for bed, and I left for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Monday's daily update. Then I exercised before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did paperwork until Phonso invited me to a taskforce. Then I found a good place to stop and joined him. We ran it after he recruited enough more. Then Kitten said hi while I was running it, but you can't join taskforces after they've started. I also talked with Nox on the chat world a bit. Phonso announced another taskforce after the first finished. I stayed to run it too. Then Phonso left, and I did a little paperwork before I joined Kitten, who was running a four-person trial over and over with a friend. They didn't feel up to doing much more. I ran it five times. Kitten said they did it eight times. Then the team broke up, and I did paperwork, with a short break for Cross Stitch World. After that, I made notes in this, with a longer break to read a couple of web comics. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 21, 2025

On Monday before breakfast. I found a text from the nursing company. They couldn't meet with me and my financial adviser that afternoon as planned.

I thought it over carefully. I've been building up to this meeting too much to want to cancel it entirely. If I couldn't meet with the nursing company, could I still meet with my financial adviser, since we'd already set up a time? I called their office and let them know that I still wanted to meet. The fellow noted it down and said it would happen. {Smile}

I didn't find a link in my email even a few minutes after the scheduled time, so I called their office. They connected me to my financial adviser, who said she was just waiting a little longer to call me. I laid out my goals and the concerns behind them. She laid out a possible plan that involves reevaluating things every few months and cutting back as I feel ready for that.  It seems like a good plan, as tentative as it is. {Smile}

In the morning after breakfast, I ran an errand with my relief nurse. I talked with my relief nurse and played Cross Stitch World in the car a bit on the way. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. My relief nurse went to bed right after supper, saying he really needed it. Then it got too late before I could do some on my own. {smile}

After lunch, I played a little Cross Stitch World and read some web comics. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, and found Div. We teamed up and ran a mission of his, ending about on time for me to have the meeting with my financial adviser. After the meeting, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then joined the later long, large-group event. Dennis said hi during it. When it was over, we got together for a mission. I asked for short on, but he picked a new one that didn't turn out to be short, though it was fun. I was quite late to dinner, but thankfully the spaghetti reheated without trouble. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and said hi to Kitten. Then I started on paperwork. After a little while, Kitten responded. We teamed up and did the last mission at the then- current moderately-low level of the character they're designing. During it, Phonso said hi and invited us to a taskforce. We ran it with him. I also talked with Nox on the chat world a little. After the taskforce, I talked with some friends. then I teamed up with Kitten to run most of a story arc on the character they're designing, gaining my character their first new level in quite a while. I stopped doing it after a bunch of talks, when Kitten mentioned they couldn't really help me with the rest. I apologized for not stopping before the talks and switched to a different story arc. We did a couple of missions in it, almost but not quite getting a second new level. Then I quit to make notes in this, pausing to browse on Amazon before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 20. 2025

On Sunday, I hope everyone who celebrated it had a Happy Easter! If you don't celebrate Easter, I hope you had a nice day anyway. {SMILE}

After breakfast, my main nurse and I went to church. We picked one of his daughters on the way. We thought we were early. No, we arrived when the service was already well along. I remembered later that they'd moved the later service to nine am from ten am because the early service got moved to six am from seven thirty am to be an "Easter sunrise service." {Smile}

I sat with Auntie Barbara and Michelle for the service, which was nice. The church used the communion rail again, for the larger group which attended because it was Easter. As always, it included some who only come for Easter, and possibly Christmas. {Smile}

Afterwards, I had lunch near my main nurse, his daughter, Michelle, and his daughter's mentor, another regular parishioner. I also sat near a gal who rarely comes in and mainly talked with her. We just hit it off. After lunch, we took my main nurse's daughter home, then ran an errand before going home ourselves. {Smile}

I didn't exercise on Sunday. Easter is a big enough holiday, I thought maybe I could take one day off, especially when I'd walked for forty minutes the previous day. {Smile}

When I got back from church, I browsed the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then joined an early long, large-group event I'm usually not on early enough to catch. I tried to participate in the social part more. Later, I discovered Pierogies tagged along and joined when a spot opened up. Afterwards, he and I talked, and teamed up on moderately low-level characters. We ran several missions together through most of the afternoon. Then he left, and I wrote up Saturday's daily update before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I checked chat server, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then tried playing by myself. I got a little accomplished, but didn't have as much fun as teaming with others. So, I talked with Ulty, Jenny's Player, and a mutual friend of the three of us called Nyxy. Then I said hi to Michiel. We teamed up on moderately high-level characters. Our first mission went easily, so he increased the difficulty, since some challenge tends to be more fun. The next mission was a struggle, even after Glen said hi and joined us, but the mission after that went better. After that, Michiel left. Then Glen and I ran a mission on moderately low-level characters. Next, Glen left, and I did quite a bit of paperwork. After that, I played Cross Stitch world and made notes and wrote in this. Then I did some more Cross Stitch World to wind down for bed. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 19, 2025

On Saturday, in the morning, my main nurse took me down to Liliu'okalani Gardens. We walked around a couple of different parts of the park for about thirty minutes before getting back to the car. Then we went to Walmart and did another ten minutes of walking, or it would have been if we'd walked briskly, like at the park. Then we went home. {Smile}

That walking was my exercise for the day. {Smile}

After our trip out, I wrote up Friday's daily update over lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Glen said hi, and we got together. We ran a few missions. Then Pierogies said hi, and joined us for a mission or two. Then Glen left. Pierogies and I ran a couple more missions before he left, too. Next, I did more paperwork, then began notes in this. After that, my main nurse helped me clean myself up before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Then Dennis said hi. We got together, and ran a few hunts of mine, a hunt and a mission of his, and a mission of mine. Dragons joined us for the last couple of missions. Phonso joined us for the last one, too. Then Dennis left and Glen said hi. Phonso started a strike force. I tried to get Glen into the strike force, but Phonso missed where I said it until too late, because for once he was inundated by interest. Then Dragons, Phonso, and I ran the strike force the others Phonso recruited. I was on my 7th-best badge collector. Afterwards, the team broke up, and Phonso left. Dragons joined a friend, and they let me join them for a few missions. Then they switched to join another friend who was badge hunting. I joined them, getting a nice badge on a character who needs it. Then I said goodnight, did a little paperwork, and left. I finished notes in this with a little web browsing after that. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 18, 2025

On Friday, my main nurse and I went to Safeway. We thought there was a prescription for me, but the gal said there wasn't. My nurse didn't find the usual "five-dollar Friday" deals, either. He blames it being Easter weekend. We went straight home afterwards. I played a good bit of CSW on that trip.

After exercising in the late evening, I noticed yellow flashing lights outside the computer room window. I asked my main nurse what was up. He didn't know, and went out into the carport, turning on the light. Meanwhile, I tried to see from the bathroom window. My nurse came back in, and said they were trimming trees across the street. We agreed that it's weird to do that at eleven-something at night. {Smile}

I exercised later than usual, but not quite as late as before the nurses started monitoring it. My main nurse did monitor me while I did my two arm resistance exercises, three of my arm weight training exercises, my five head exercises, and my other three arm weight training exercises. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed on the web and read web comics until we went to Safeway. When we came back, I browsed on the web some more right over lunch. Then I began writing up Thursday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Div, who pointed out it was late. Yeah, later than the last couple of times, though earlier than when I usually miss him entirely. We still had some time to chat, then team up. I found a character who needed something Div had a mission for, and another mission after that. Then we chatted some more. Pierogies said hi during the last chat, then came and joined us in time to say a little, then wish Div goodnight, for Div left soon after Pierogies joined us. Pierogies and I talked a little more. Then Dr. Faustus messaged me, asking if I was coming to the villain supergroup meeting. I thought our meeting was called off, but apparently not. I told Pierogies as much, excusing myself and going to the meeting. The group did a high-level taskforce that's particularly rewarding this week. My character was barely high enough to do it. A fellow said he wanted to get me higher. I figured out I could gain 4 levels without messing up any content more than it is already. So, I turned on experience points, which make you go up in level, and got three of those four levels from that one taskforce. Then the meeting broke up, and I did paperwork until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I finished Thursday's daily update and read web comics before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and said hi to Nox on the chat world. We chatted a little when they responded after a while. In City of Heroes: Homecoming, Dennis said hi. We got together and did a mission of his and a mission of mine. Then we talked before saying goodnight. While Dennis and I were playing together, Jenny's Player said hi, and invited me to check out my adolescent Hobbit's room in the teen supergroup's base when I had time. So, I did that after Dennis left. I found out from Jenny's player where it was. Then I found it and looked it over. I made some minor suggestions, but I think it's pretty good already. After that, I exercised, then investigated the flashing lights out the window. Then I played Cross Stitch World before I made notes and wrote in this, with breaks for web browsing. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 17, 2025

On Thursday, over breakfast, I tried to sign in for my counselling appointment. I couldn't find the email with the link that I always use. So, I checked the calendar on phone. The appointment was eleven to noon, not the usual ten to eleven int he morning. {smile}

Shortly before eleven, the email was there as expected. I had a good session. We discussed the meeting with my financial adviser and the nursing company that got rescheduled a little, and my new line dancing class and Zumba Gold class a lot more. She is particularly happy about the classes. She sees them as a positive development beyond what I've been doing. I guess she's right. {Smile}

Then my main nurse wanted to run a fairly quick errand in the late afternoon. I was playing on City of Heroes: Homecoming with Kitten when he warned me it was time to get ready to go, but I'd tried to pick something quick because I knew the trip was coming. As I hoped, we got done with the mission in time. So, I left with my main nurse. We ran into the housekeeper, who was just arriving as we were leaving. My main nurse and I ran the errand, with me playing Cross Stitch World on my phone along the way and went right back home afterwards. We did have a nice chat along the way. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise. I think I did enough at Zumba Gold the day before to get a day off. My main nurse agrees. {Smile}

When I found out Counselling started later than usual, I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork. Then Div said hi. We chatted, but it was too close to counselling to get together. After counselling, I went right back to City of Heroes: Homecoming, and found Div. We chatted, then teamed up, doing several of Div's missions. Then Div left, and I worked on paperwork. Then Kitten said hi, and I realized I should just have time for one mission on the moderately low-level character they've designed for me before the errand. After the errand, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and found Pierogies. We did two or three missions before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Wednesday's daily update. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did some paperwork. I said hi to Kitten, Ulty, Jenny's Player and Dr. Faustus. Dr. Faustus and I were starting to get together when Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I told Dr. Faustus, who joined it too. We ran it after Phonso recruited more folks. Then they both left, and I did paperwork until Kitten said hi. We teamed up and did a few missions and hunts on the character they designed. Then Kitten found a double giant monster fight we joined and got both of the monsters. The team didn't quite break up. Instead, we started doing high level missions. After the first, I switched to my second-best badge collector. We did a few more missions before the team mostly broke up. I left to make notes in this, with breaks for Cross Stitch World and web comics. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 16, 2025

On Wednesday, in the latter part of the middle of the afternoon, my main nurse took me down to the butler building where the Zumba Gold actually was meeting again this week. We arrived early, so I got to speak briefly with another student before class. Class went well, with a break halfway through, and another around the three-quarter mark. I was I got to talk some more during the break, though some of the talking was with my nurse. Afterwards, he took me home. {Smile}

Zumba Gold was my exercise for the day, and probably the next day, too. My nurse kept asking if I was sore, but no, I'm not. Maybe a little tired, but not even too tired at that. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed the web. I finished catching up on comics, including more I remembered than the one left from the night before. Then I squeezed in cleaning myself up with the help of my main nurse before lunch. Over lunch, I browsed the web some more and played Cross Stitch World. Then I began writing up Tuesday's daily update. I continued after I was done with lunch until it was done. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I said hi to Kitten, and started on paperwork After a while, Kitten responded, saying they were very tired. I asked if they were too tired to help with what might be the last mission before the character that they designed can go up a few levels. They came and tried but went quiet after the first battle. I tried to continue, but there were too many for me alone. So, I did some more paperwork, then got ready for Zumba Gold. When I got home after Zumba Gold, I dealt with mail. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and said hi to Dennis. We talked, and tried to team up, but I got called to dinner before we got started. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I said hi to Kitten but got no immediate response. I talked with Ulty and Jenny's player, who were roleplaying with a friend on their characters in the teen supergroup. I switched to my character in that group, and joined them, roleplaying with them. Kitten said hi when it felt like the others might be ready to wind down. Sure enough, they finished up and left, saying they were tired. I started to team up with Kitten on the moderately low-level character they designed for me when Phonso invited me to a taskforce. I confirmed that Kitten could come too and switched to a high-level character. I ran the taskforce with Kitten, Phonso, and the others Phonso recruited. I said goodnight to Nox on the chat server, having missed a chance to really talk. Afterward the taskforce, I talked with Kitten. Then I switched back to the character Kitten is designing for me. We ran the mission we'd started that afternoon. Then I checked my contacts and found one more who is that level after all. We started that contact with a mission. Then I did paperwork. Next, I wrote up notes in this, with breaks for Cross Stitch World and talking with Kitten on chat server. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 15, 2025

On Tuesday, after breakfast, I went out with my relief nurse to do an errand. Then we came home for lunch. {Smile}

I didn't exercise. After line dancing the day before, I thought I needed a break to recover. {Smile}

After I got back from the errand, I had lunch. Then I did some web browsing and played Cross Stitch World before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming for a little paperwork. I saw friend, but remembered I needed to write up Monday's daily update, so I did, with a brief web browsing break or two. Then I started notes in this before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Div was stuck in a story arc that others can't join after it's started, so we talked while I did some paperwork and badge hunting. He left around half through, because it's a very long story arc. After that, I started playing by myself on the character Kitten fixed up. I did some hunts and started on a story arc that requires more reading than my friends tend to enjoy. Then Pierogies said hi. We chatted and teamed up. He helped me with both a hunt in the story arc, and a hunt outside of the story arc that I had particular trouble with. Then we did the other mission I had, with an amount of reading we can both enjoy. Dennis joined us and we did the next and last mission from the more taciturn contact. then I started summarizing so we could enjoy the talky story arc, doing the next two missions. That leaves only the big finale to go for that story arc. I got called to dinner during the last mission before the finale, so we'll do the finale another day. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then paused to browse on the web and play Cross Stitch World. then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and talked with Ulty and Jenny's player. I apologized for completely forgetting the teen supergroup meeting, which I had only just remembered. They said it was fine, and they did something too high for my character anyway. I joined them in a couple of missions. I noticed a similarity between their characters that they hadn't developed yet. They started planning another supergroup. I picked a character for it that they like, who's already fairly high level, though not top level yet. They both said they were tired and left after the second mission, s o I did paperwork, but not for long before Phonso said hi and invited me to a taskforce. I did it on my seventh-best badge collector. I also talked with Nox a bit on the chat server. Then we said goodnight, and I did paperwork and played Cross Stitch World. Then I made notes in this. Next, I read a bunch of web comics. I discovered I'd built up a backlog with them, so I worked on catching up. I thought I finished with just one to go. After that, I made notes in this. Then I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming and did a tiny bit more paperwork before I finished notes in this and warned Pierogies, Dennis, and Kitten on the chat server that tomorrow's Zumba Gold should make me unavailable right before dinner. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 14, 2025

On Monday, my relief nurse took me to the butler building for line dancing again. No one was around. We realized we'd left the only copy of the schedule that gave all the locations at home. So, went back and got it. It was at Daijingu, and gave the address. My nurse found it easily by putting the address into his phone. I was less than half an hour late and explained to the instructors as I found a chance. I enjoyed the class very much again. {Smile}

Monday afternoon, I checked my phone and realized I was very late to a Zoom meeting with my financial adviser and the nursing company. When I checked, I couldn't find an email with the link. So, I called my financial adviser's office. The secretary explained it was moved to next Monday because of the nursing company. I hadn't caught that. {smile}

My exercise was line dancing. That was plenty. Even getting there late, I think I got enough for a couple of days. {Smile}

When I got home after line dancing, I had lunch. Then I played Cross Stitch World before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then worked on a badge while I wrote Sunday's daily update. Next, I called my financial adviser to figure out the meeting. After that, I started notes in this before I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I played by myself on a low-level character and did paperwork until Pierogies and Dennis said hi in short succession. Pierogies and I teamed up and got ready to finish that story arc we'd started on littles a few days ago. Dennis joined us. We finished that story arc and started the next story arc, going right up to dinnertime. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Then I started to play by myself on the moderately low-level character Kitten designed. Then Phonso said hi partway through, inviting me to a long taskforce. I hoped to finish the mission I'd started, but I realized I wasn't nearly as close to the end as I thought. So, I dropped it to try again some other time and joined Phonso in the taskforce on my sixth-best badge collector. We ran it. I also talked with Nox a little on the chat world. Phonso left after that was done, so I did paperwork until he came back and invited me to another taskforce. I ran that with him on my sixth best badge collector, too, and finally got the badge that I've been running so many taskforces on that that character for. My seventh-best badge collector can take a turn next. After the paperwork the taskforces caused, I made notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 13, 2025

Sunday was a day to recover from Saturday. I got up for breakfast a little late, then went right back to bed for a couple more hours of sleep. Next, I got up for lunch. After lunch, I felt up to sitting at the computer, and continued to get better over the day, until I felt almost normal in the evening, except for a couple of small messes. {Smile}

However, I didn't get any exercise beyond being sick. I thought that was enough. {rueful smile}

After lunch, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web. Then I began writing up Saturday's daily update. After that, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Then Kitten said hi. I felt just up to running a low-level character, so we teamed up with me on one. We did a couple of hunts together before Kitten went quiet and faded out. So, I went back to doing paperwork. Next, I played Cross Stitch World and started writing in this. Then I did more paperwork until Pierogies said hi. We teamed up for most of a short story arc - two hunts and a mission - ending right at dinner time. Which is why we didn't do the last mission. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. Then I realized that Dennis was on. We chatted, then teamed up, and Kitten joined us. The three of us ran a few missions, getting Dennis and my second-best badge collector a few badges each. We ended with a story arc, after which Dennis went to bed, and Kitten went quiet and faded out, probably asleep. So, I did some paperwork and badge collecting. Then I finished writing Saturday's update up. Next, I played Cross Stitch World. After that, I made more notes in this and did a little more paperwork in City of Heroes: Homecoming. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 12, 2025

Saturday was not a good day for me. It started with forgetting to warn my main nurse that I really wanted to go to Hilo Public Library before lunch. There were misunderstandings involved, but the main problem was a bad habit of mine which I really need to work on: communicating clearly my plans for going out with the folks who will take me in plenty of time for both of us to get ready. {rueful smile}

I did enjoy the trip to the library. I got five manga, four from a series I'm following currently, and an apparently stand-alone that looks quite interesting. I didn't know that manga could be stand-alone. I'll have to look into it. {Smile}

My back day continued. I was feeling out of sorts then, too. I really can't guess why for this one. {small smile}

Then, in the middle of the evening, I started to get a lot of intestinal gas. I tried to treat it, even as it began to feel nauseous. Then I had to step away from the computer to throw up. I felt enough better to go back and continue playing City of heroes: homecoming until I found myself fighting a second, similar round of nausea. I excused myself from playing City of Heroes: Homecoming and shut down my computer. Then I got to the bathroom in time to deal with the second round of nausea. After that, I went to be unusually early. I got up for two more bouts. After that, I got up to use the bathroom but managed to return to my bed without throwing up again. {small smile}

I didn't do any exercise, between all the exercise I got at the classes, both the ones I kept, and the ones I didn't, and being sick. I kind of need a rest day to get over being sick... at least I hope one day will do it. We'll see. In any case, I might do more exercise in coming weeks, with only two classes. {Smile}

When we got back from the library, I browsed the web and checked web comics over lunch. I might have played a little Cross Stitch World, too. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork, then found Div getting ready to leave again. At least we got to chat first. I also touched base with Kitten, but they were too tired to play again. So, I did some paperwork until Pierogies came on. We teamed up, doing a mission or two before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I chatted with Ulty and Jenny's Player. Then I found Kitten, and we teamed up. I chose the character they designed, and we did a few missions.  I began feeling gassy after a few missions. As I was coping, Dragons joined us. We ran a few missions, and the sick feeling got worse. I felt so much better after throwing up the first time, I went back to play more, but it didn't last. When a second incident looked likely, I excused myself and shut down my computer hours earlier than usual. I had the second incident on the way to bed, and two more after I was in bed, but somehow avoided messing the bed each time. {smile}

Daily Update, April 11, 2025

On Friday after breakfast, my main nurse took me to a lei making class at the senior center. I talked to the instructor when I got there. She said that the necessary supplies were listed by week. That means they changed each week, so getting one set and being done wasn't feasible. Also, each week, I'd have to buy a supply kit, and the only one below ten dollars was last week. I made noises about thinking about it, and the teacher volunteered that they get harder over the year. To start with easy ones, she suggested waiting to start until next January. I said that sounds like an idea, and that I'd think it over. {smile}

Then I went to the front desk. I confirmed and paid for the line dancing and Zumba Gold. I also made sure that Japanese Dance, chair yoga, and lei making were cancelled. {Smile}

I realized later that I'd hoped for one of those simple lei making styles, where you concentrate on getting the hang of it at first. Then you sit and do it and find something else to do along with it to keep from getting too bored with it.  I was hoping the class would give us a chance to talk with the others in the class while we worked, but it really didn't look like it. At home, I've often done those kinds of projects while watching TV or reading something. Talking with others in the house is a good option when feasible. {Smile}

My main nurse said he'd hoped for "more of a class than private instruction," whatever that means. {Smile}

I did my two arm resistance exercises, and six arm weight training exercises a while after dinner. My main nurse monitored them, noting each down. {Smile}

When we got back from the senior center, I browsed on the web, read web comics, and played Cross Stitch World up to lunch. Then I began writing up Thursday's daily update during lunch. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming significantly earlier. I still found Div right as he was getting ready to leave, but that was because of something he had to do in real life. I can hope that getting in that early will work better most of the time. We talked a little and said goodnight. Next, I talked with Pierogies, who was having too much computer trouble to play but had at least gotten the computer working enough to talk. I suggested the chat server might work better for him. It's a less complicated system, after all. He switched, and he, Kitten and I talked a fair while there. I finished writing up Thursday's daily update, then did some paperwork. Kitten said hi. They were getting ready to fight a giant monster. I joined the team just before the fight. The team broke up after the fight, and Kitten and I got together. I switched to a low-level character, and tried to start a mission for us, but Kitten realized they were too tired and regretfully left for bed. So, I did more paperwork. Then Pierogies said hi again. He'd gotten his computer working well enough to play, though it still needs more help. We teamed up on low-level characters and ran one mission and most of a second. Though I'd set the second a bit high for such low-level characters, we almost got it before the game dumped us out of the mission and reset it to the lower settings I'd made when I realized how high it was. I didn't expect it to reset on us; that's new. It was too close to dinner to try again, so we said goodnight. We'll try another day. {Smile}

After dinner, I played Cross Stitch World and began notes in this. Then I exercised. I wrote a little in this, then went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork. Next, Ulty said hi, and invited me to that pair of high-level taskforces. Phonso also said hi, and invited me to a strike force. I arranged to Phonso and me to run the high-level taskforces with Ulty first. Kitten said hi not long after we started. I apologized for being in the taskforces, which prevented me from joining Kitten until they were done. Then I joined Phonso for the strike force. I worked to get Kitten's attention and got them to join the strike force. I was so happy we got to play together more! We ran the strike force with Phonso, who said goodnight and left afterwards. I also said goodnight to Nox on the chat server, having talked only a little in the afternoon. Then Kitten and I teamed up. I switched to that moderately low-level character that Kitten designed for me, and we started doing missions together. Next, Dragons joined us. I realized my character could now get a story arc I really enjoy, so we ran it next. One of Dragon's friends joined us just before the last real mission, and another just after that mission. We finished the story arc and said goodnight. Then I did a little paperwork and made notes in this, giving priority to the notes, and going back to the paperwork when I felt I had time. I browsed the web while shutting down for the night. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 10, 2025

On Thursday at breakfast, I went into my video counselling. I was late, but got there before it caused problems, at least. The session went well. I think we covered some important points. {Smile}

After she left, the owner of the nursing company and the nursing company secretary came over, bearing pizza. The nursing company head and I sat and talked over a fair while. Yes, while eating the pizza. The secretary hung out with my main nurse to give us privacy. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise on Thursday. I'm still tired from the Zumba Gold the day before. {Smile}

After the nursing company owner left, I had lunch while I browsed the web. Then I checked City of Heroes: Homecoming briefly before writing up Wednesday's daily update. Next, I cleaned myself up with the help of my main nurse. After that, I went back to City of Heroes: Homecoming and did some pretty extensive paperwork, including badge collecting paperwork on my third-best badge collector. I also had a brief chat with Nox and a slightly longer chat with Dr. Faustus on the chat server. This took me right up to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I checked something my main nurse was concerned about. I think he's right that I'll have to look into that. Then I started making notes in this. Then I played Cross Stitch World, browsed on the web, and read some web comics. After that, I made more notes in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started on paperwork. Next, I browsed on the web and talked to Nox on the chat world some more. Then Phonso said hi in game and invited me to a strike force. It was very slow recruiting. Folks are really attracted to the rewards of the April Fool's event, so it's hard to get other stuff going. I am looking for other things than what that is so good for, so I was delighted to join a strike force. Phonso finally decide to run it just over half full. I said goodnight to Nox during that. The group almost lost someone who was nodding off before they realized they were quitting just before the last mission and ran it with us. Phonso said goodnight and left afterwards. Next, I did paperwork, then made notes in this. After that, I played Cross Stitch World and browsed on the web before making more notes in this. I ended the evening playing a lot of Cross Stitch World CSW while thinking. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 9, 2025

On Wednesday, right after breakfast, my main nurse took me back to that butler building to try Chair Yoga. I tried it. I really did. Unfortunately, it upset my vertigo, which really is permanently severe. At first, I could and did wait until it settled enough, then continued, but after a while, it stopped settling enough. So, I got up and told my main nurse, and we left and went home. {smile}

Then in the late afternoon, my main nurse and I went back to that butler building. We were slightly late getting to Zumba Gold. I think it had just started. I tried to join in, and folks encouraged me to stand in front so I could see, being new. I tried to keep up and think I did okay. I had to skip one turn, and adapt some other things, but I talked to the instructor afterwards and she's fine with that. "Hey, you came. That's half the battle," she said. I've talked with my main nurse since, and he's delighted with all I did. He warns me that now I have to do the Zumba Gold and the line dancing again. {Smile}

That was plenty of exercise for the day. I wasn't as exhausted as I was Monday after two classes almost back-to-back, but I wasn't going to try any more on my own. {Smile}

After I got back from chair yoga, I had a nap followed by lunch. Then I browsed on the web and began to treat a headache. When the headache eased enough, I began writing up Tuesday's daily update. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming when the headache had eased some more. I was just in time to say goodbye to Div again. I did some paperwork and finished writing up Tuesday's daily update while I continued to treat the headache, and it continued to back off. Next, I browsed the web, played Cross Stitch World, and read web comics as I continued to treat it headache. It continued to get better but not really well until I gave up and took the pain pills and caffeine that finally got rid of the headache just before my main nurse took me to Zumba Gold. When I got back, I browsed the web until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I began making notes in this. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I started with paperwork and talked with Ulty and Jenny's player. Next, I began to play by myself. Then Glen said hi, and we talked. After a while, we got together. I learned he had a new endgame-level character who hadn't actually started the endgame, so we ran the first three story arcs for heroes. They together introduce the end game content nicely; the middle one is different for villains. I also said goodnight to Nox. Then I talked briefly with Phonso, and at some length with Divi. After the third story arc with Glen, I made sure he knew about other helpful content in end game before we said goodnight. Next, I did extensive paperwork on the character I played all evening, followed by the character I played Tuesday that I didn't do paperwork for on Tuesday. After that, I made the rest of my notes in this. I think that in the future doing the notes before the paperwork at the end of the day would make it easy to stop and leave when it's bedtime, since I got done a little later than I hoped to. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 8, 2025

Tuesday was quiet. I mainly stayed home. However, I did get very distracted when a program or two complained yet again about outdated drivers and other problems. I remembered being able to update things on earlier computers, but I didn't find stuff in similar places on my computer. I did find a program I'd gotten off the internet that almost worked but not quite. This kept me busy both before and after lunch until I finally turned to City of Heroes: Homecoming {smile}

While in there, I fiddled some more and got an upgraded and not-too-expensive upgrade that fixed all the non-upgrade issues. It even fixed the first upgrade, though it forced me to restart my computer. I left it after that until much closer to bed. {smile}

I tried again at bedtime. Most of the complaints failed, but a few did fix, or possibly disappeared instead of fixing. I won't complain; I'm down to nine outdated drivers from an initial fourteen, which I'll count as an improvement. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercise Tuesday. I was enough more tired after the second dance class yesterday than I usually am after physical therapy, I had no doubt that I had fully earned a day off. {Proud Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed on the web until I got annoyed by programs asking about updating drivers and looked into it. I paused for lunch, then continued looking into updating drivers until I realized it was getting late to catch Div in City of Heroes: Homecoming. I caught Div as he were getting ready to leave. Then Kitten caught me, wanting help with a badge that that required a mission they were too high to get. However, Div wanted to show me the progress with the base, so I checked that out first. The courtyard now is attached to a tower with a few more rooms than stories. I think this is great progress for the two days since I last saw it. After I said goodbye to Div, I joined Kitten. I got a character the right level to get the mission they wanted. As I was getting the character, Ulty invited me to a four-character trial, but I declined because I'd promised to help Kitten, and they'd asked first. Besides, they were so excited, they were making me excited, too. So, Kitten and I figured out what mission we needed and ran it. Kitten got their badge. I got it, and another badge I wasn't completely aware that character lacked.

I checked with Ulty about the teen supergroup meeting, and learned it was starting soon. So, when Kitten and I had the badges, I switched and joined the supergroup. When I got there, they swiftly started a taskforce known for being long, but low-level. Being moderately low-level, my character was right in the range for it. I let her gain two levels before turning off experience points to keep from out-levelling content. Partway through, my main nurse warned me dinner was early. I explained that the task force was threatening to run late. He asked how late. I said twenty minutes to half an hour, but that was far too optimistic. A giant monster fight in it lasted longer than usual, but more than that, I distinctly underestimated how long the last mission was. I left as soon as it was done, but I was half an hour late to dinner. Thankfully, my relief nurse assured me he doesn't mind if that happens occasionally. {Smile}

After dinner, I wrote up Sunday's daily update. with break to play Cross Stitch World and read a web comic. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming just as the teen SG meeting was breaking up. I said goodnight to Ulty and hi to Kitten. I teamed up with Kitten. As I was trying to decide what to do, Phonso invited us to a strike force. We joined it and ran it. I also chatted a little with Nox on the chat server. After the strike force, I debated what to do next while Kitten and I fought some critters from an April Fool's event in the zone the strike force ended in until I decided to play the character Kitten is making for me. We did a couple of missions before Kitten went quiet then faded out. I did some paperwork and began making notes in this. Then I took a break and spent more time playing Cross Stitch World than I meant to spend and about the right amount of time doing paperwork for the two lower-level characters I played that day. The strike force was on a high-level character who still has paperwork. Next, I spent more time than meant to reading a friends' group on the chat server before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Updarte, April 7, 2025

On Monday, my relief nurse took me out to a line dancing class in one of the butler buildings. The class was lots of fun. The people were nice and friendly. a few different ones came up and talked to me during the breaks. The dances weren't hard, either, just challenging enough to feel accomplishment as I got the hang of it, and no one worried about mistakes, or doing things a little differently. I even saw a gal from church there, though I didn't talk with her. I'll have to some other week. {Smile}

I was tired at the end, despite sitting out a piece or two, so I was happy to sit and each lunch next. Then I had a Japanese Dance class at same place. I was still tired. I got dizzy in the first piece. Also, people were less eager to talk with a stranger like me. My relief nurse blamed the heat, for it had warmed up. I don't know if he was right or not. I was exhausted by the end, despite sitting out some again. {Smile}

Those two dance classes were all my exercise for the day, and probably for the next day, too. {Smile}

Before we left, I just dealt with mail and got ready. After we came back, I read web comics and browsed the web to wind down. Then I began writing up Sunday's daily update. I stopped when I realized how late it was getting and ducked into City of Heroes Homecoming. I tried to get kitten's attention while I did some rather extensive paperwork. Then I spotted the later long, large-group event, and joined it. Just after that, Dennis said hi. He joined it so he could play with me as little. We said goodnight after the event. I did more paperwork. Then Kitten said hi, but we didn't get anything going before I got a five-minute warning for dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I finished writing up Sunday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. There, I started with paperwork and said hi to Kitten. We talked, then got together. We ran a few missions for a badge on my second-best badge collector. She got it, and an unexpected badge as well. I also tried to talk with Nox, but we didn't fully connect. I cast around for what to do next. Kitten spotted someone asking for help. Kitten joined them, but I couldn't until they found and fixed a rarely used setting. We helped them with a mission though it was messed up, so some optional parts never became accessible like they should have. I got a badge I didn't realize I didn't have on my second-best badge collector, so I asked Kitten to help me get the other, similar badges. She got all eight other badges like that with Kitten's help. Then I noticed time. I broke to type up notes in this. I played a little Cross Stitch World and talked with Kitten in the chat server while I wrote notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 6, 2025

Sunday morning, I stayed on task more than usual getting ready, so when main nurse took me to church, we actually got there slightly early. I had time to talk to a parishioner or two and find and set out the nuts before the service, which was nice. {Smile}

Afterwards, I ate on the lanai and talked more with those who sat with me. I liked that. My main nurse took me home again afterwards. {Smile}

I got no real exercise, though. It just didn't happen, somehow. {rueful smile}

When I got home, I talked with my main nurse at length. Then I looked at a course of study to discern whether I want to join Daughters of the King, which is an order that a fellow parishioner is starting a chapter of. Interested women have been pursuing this since January, but I distinctly behind, and in need of catching up. Then I wrote up most of Saturday's daily update before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did barely any paperwork before I checked for Div. Good thing I got to that quick. I found him just getting ready to leave, but he showed me the base first. He's added a high up verdant courtyard with grass, trees and tents. When he'd finished showing me the new part, we said goodnight. I worked on paperwork and finished Saturday's daily update after Div left. Then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did paperwork. I found Pierogies. He wanted to do a later long, large-group event. Then I found Dennis. He doesn't usually like those events, but he wanted it for a badge, so he joined us. We ran it, then got together and ran a couple of Dennis's missions. The team broke up when I was ready for dinner and Pierogies was ready for bed. {Smile}

After dinner, I did paperwork. I tried talking to Nox on the chat server, but they responded little and late. However, Dr. Faustus said hi, and that his character was ready to get four badges, and I could come along. We did two of his badges.  Then Phonso said hi, and invited us to a taskforce. We joined him and ran it. Next, the team broke up, and both my friends left. I did some paperwork. After that, I browsed the web and began making notes in this. Then I took a break to play Cross Stitch World and browse the web some more before I finished making notes in this. {Smile}

Daily Update, April 5, 2025

On Saturday, late in the morning, my relief nurse and I went to Liliu'okalani Gardens. He wanted me to walk around for twenty minutes, but I took some side trips, and we got back to the car in half an hour. My relief nurse was ecstatic that I did so much, but he's warned me we'll have to do thirty minutes after this. {Smile}

That was my exercise for the day. No more was needed. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then I checked Coity of Heores: Homecoming briefly before our trip to Liliu'okalani Gardens. Afterwards, I had lunch before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork, and checked for Div, but didn't see him. I did see Pierogies, and tried to get his attention, but didn't. So, I took a break to clean myself up with my main nurse's help. then I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I'd barely started on paperwork when Pierogies found me this time. We talked, then teamed up to do a few missions together. Next, he left, and I went back to paperwork. Then Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a couple of his missions, running a bit into dinner time since I insisted on finishing the mission I'd started before going to dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork. I talked with Ulty, Jenny's player, and Divi in the game. I also talked a little with Nox on the chat server. Then i started figuring out a badge, and that something I didn't realize counted towards it does. Then Glen said hi, and I left eh badge for some other time. We teamed up, and I switched to mid-level character near his in level. We did a story arc together that we both hadn't done on our characters yet. Then we said goodnight, and I did a little paperwork Then I started making notes and writing in this, with a break for a little web browsing and reading a web comic. After that, I finished making notes in this slightly earlier than usual. {Smile}

Daily Update April 4, 2025

 On Friday, late in the morning, I got a phone call from the senior center. A cancellation in a lei making class meant I could get in after all. The gal started to read off the supply list. I asked if I could pick up a written list. The gal said sure and put it in a folder for me. {Smile}

Then I went out with my main nurse. I misunderstood which order we'd do things in, but we worked it out and went to Safeway first. I got a prescription, and my main nurse got groceries. Then we stopped at the senior center. A different gal was at the desk. She said the materials list would be given out in class. My main nurse says either we or the relief nurse and I can try again next week.

A while after dinner, I did my upper body workout with my main nurse monitoring me. I did my arm resistance exercises, then three of my weight training exercises. Next, I did my arm swinging exercises, then my head exercises, and lastly the other three weight training exercises. My nurse was happy with all I did. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed on the web, played Cross Stitch World, and read web comics before our trip out. When we got back, I had a late lunch and browsed on the web before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. Div was winding down but wanted to show me the magic base, which he'd begun working on. I am amazed. We already have a full-sized basement and an outside island surrounded by water, with lava both cooled and flowing making the land. The cooled lava looks really good to my eye, and I live by enough lava, I know. The flowing lava isn't viscous enough. but otherwise good. Div just picked them out, but I am amazed he found the good stuff and got so much done in just one day. Div was getting ready to leave when Pierogies joined us, so he showed off the base again. Then we three found an April Fool's event as we left. All three of us joined, though Div left before it was done. Dr. Faustus said hi during the April Fool's Event. He said the villain supergroup meeting was starting shortly. The April Fool's event paused, so I said goodbye to Pierogies and went to the meeting. We roleplayed a bit, then ran a story arc of mine, continuing the greater story we have been working on for a few arcs and meetings now. The meeting broke up as we finished the arc. We have one more to go. I did some paperwork until Dennis said hi. We teamed up and did a few of his missions until dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then I finished writing up Friday's daily update before I exercised. Then I began notes and writing in this before I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did some paperwork. I barely talked with Nox before they left for the night. That's when I realized it was two hours later than I thought. I played by myself and talked with Divi at length before I stopped to make notes in this before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update April 3

On Thursday, in the middle of the afternoon, my main nurse took me back to the senior center where I can sign up for classes. I'm so lucky one of their enrollment periods is going on right now. The gal encouraged me to go to each class I'm interested in next week, while it's still the registration period. I can try the class, talk to the instructor, and decide if I like it. Then I can pay the registration fee right at the class to enroll. One I was interested in is full, but I'll look at the rest, and they look promising. I could even check out the full one and see if a space opens up. {Smile}

I did around 14 minutes of salsa dancing after dinner, with my main nurse monitoring me. He was very happy; his goal for me is 12-15, so I was right in the sweet spot. {Smile}

After breakfast, I browsed the web and played Cross Stitch World until lunch. Then I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Div, and we visited. I also chatted with Pierogies for a while. Div wanted to see a magic base I'd gotten but done nothing with. I'd asked him to fix it up, since I know how much he enjoys base building. I'm glad I could give him such a blank canvas to work on. He's quite a base builder. We also talked about another base he gave up on. One useful part was left unfinished, but hard to work with. I hope he's planning to fix that, though I might have figured out a work-around. Eventually he left to watch Star Trek. He loves that show even more than I do. Then I went out with my main nurse. When I got back, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I found Kitten, but we were slow getting going. We did do one mission together before dinner. {Smile}

After dinner, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch Worls before salsa dancing. Afterwards, I went back into City of Heroes: Homecoming and did paperwork while I tried to get Kitten's attention. I think I began talking with Nox on the chat server before kitten responded just after Phonso invited me to a notoriously long taskforce. The rewards can be better this week, so it's more tempting than usual. It was very slow recruiting at first, but then it picked up. We got a nearly full team and ran it. Afterwards I did some paperwork, and one more mission with Kitten, that completed the story arc that the mission before dinner was in, too. Then I did more paperwork, read a web comic, and made notes in this.

Daily Update, April 2, 2025

On Wednesday, in the midafternoon, my main nurse took me to Kamana Senior Center. We asked about classes and got their hand out and a couple of forms. It's actually enrollment time now. I think they only have four windows a year. I looked at it when we got home. Some might be good. I also looked at the YMCA's list again. A few look good there, too. My main nurse had me fill out a form that evening for it. {Smile}

I didn't really do much exercise, though there was a little walking around when we were out. {Smile}

After breakfast I did minimal web browsing before I wrote up Tuesday's daily update and started making notes in this. Then I cleaned myself up with my main nurse's help before lunch. Over lunch, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming, I started with paperwork. Then Div and Pierogies said hi. I talked with each. We three got together and ran a story arc I'd made. Kitten joined us near the end. Then div and Pierogies left, and Kitten went quiet, so I went out with my main nurse. I got back into City of Heroes: Homecoming when I got home. I tried to get Kitten's attention. They didn't respond, so I tried to join the later long, large-group event, but didn't get a response there either. Next, I tried to join April Fool's event teams, but that didn't work out. I finally successfully joined the late night short, large-group event. Kitten finally responded while it was in progress, but I just arranged to meet after diner, since I barely squeezed in a little paperwork after the event before I left for dinner afterwards. {Smile}

After dinner, I read an article and four web comics before going into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did some paperwork. Kitten said hi, but didn't respond after that for a while, so I started looking around. Then Kitten responded as I found Phonso and made contact. We joined him for that pair of high-level taskforces with me on my third-best badge collector. She got that badge I wanted so badly, and the two others came with it. Then we talked until Phonso left. Next, I did some paperwork, which was boring for Kitten. I really shouldn't have made them wait like that. When I realized, I looked for something to do. I chose a mission I had which I thought might lead to something that would get me a badge. To my surprise, it got the badge right away. I barely remembered the story arc it was part of, and Kitten swore they'd never done it, so we played the rest of the story arc. After that, I did paperwork and talked with Kitten. Then I quickly finished notes in this before bed. {Smile}

Daily Update April 1, 2025

On Tuesday, after breakfast, the nursing company and I arranged for a meeting with them, my financial adviser, and myself over the internet next week Thursday. I am looking forward to making a plan for my future with them both. {Smile}

Then late in the morning, my relief nurse and I did a couple of errands. It is nice to get out of the house, even if it's just a few errands. {Smile}

After a late lunch, the nursing company secretary came by for the checks and a brief chat. {Smile}

After dinner, I salsa danced with my relief nurse monitoring me. I did the first six and a half minutes of my salsa dancing warmup routine. Then I did a less structured salsa dancing piece for just over six minutes more, for a total of twelve and a half minutes of salsa dancing. I was tired, and slightly winded afterwards, but this felt good. {Smile}

I wrote up Monday's daily update in the morning, between and around the phone calls and errands. I finished before a late lunch. After lunch I browsed on the web until the visit from the nursing company secretary. After that, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork and playing by myself while I tried to get into something. I talked with Ulty and Jenny's player, and quickly learned the teen supergroup meeting was already going. I switched to my character with them and joined the meeting. We roleplayed, then ran a story arc of mine while lightly roleplaying. We got done just barely late for dinner. I said goodbye, promising to return. {Smile}

After dinner, I danced with my relief nurse monitoring me. Then I started writing and making notes in this. Next, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming. I did a tiny bit of paperwork before checking on the teen supergroup. Ulty, Jenny's Player, and another friend there were still roleplaying with out-of-character visiting on the side. I joined them and also chatted with Nox on the chat server. The third friend left first. Then Ulty and Jenny's player left at the same time. I did more paperwork, then joined an April Fool's event, since those started Tuesday. After a while, the leader handed the group to me but played a while longer before he left. I continued to lead the group. Phonzo said hi, and wanted to do the pair of high-level taskforces, but joined the group I was leading when I was slow at finding someone to take over. We played with that group until it fell apart. Then I suggested doing the taskforces he'd mentioned. He recruited, and I ran them on my sixth-best badge collector, though I debated about taking my third-best badge collector because of the badge that she still needs that the sixth-best just got. However, it may take many tries to get that last badge, and usually does, while I know the sixth-best badge collector will get the credit for another badge that she's collecting. Other things count, too, but I expect they'll be rare this week. After the taskforces, the group broke up. I stayed with Phonso a couple of others, talking while I did paperwork. When the team finished breaking up, I switched to the character who'd led the event and did her paperwork. Then I browsed on the web and played a little Cross stitch world. I also made notes in this and read a web comic and an article.

Daily Update, March 31, 2025

On Monday, my relief nurse and I did a couple of errands after breakfast.

Then after lunch, I got a call from my dentist's office. They asked if I was I on my way. I'd forgotten I had an appointment, so no, we weren't, but we could leave immediately. I didn't have to wait for Uber. T\hey said I wouldn't be there in time. So, we made an appointment. The earliest available of the correct type was in the middle of October. Then they called back. Could I come right down; the person after me had cancelled. My relief nurse and I did. {Smile}

I got my teeth cleaned, and a checkup besides. One crown needs fixing, but only one crown this time. I scheduled the crown for late April and the next similar appointment a day earlier in October than the first one, which got cancelled. Then my relief nurse took me home. {Smile}

I didn't do any exercises. My relief nurse said my main nurse said I could have a day off. I was plain too tired not to take advantage of that. {rueful smile}

Between lunch and the phone calls with the dentist's office, I browsed on the web and played Cross Stitch World. Then, after I got home from the dentist, I browsed the web some more and read web comics. Then I wrote up Sunday's daily update with more breaks than I meant to take. I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming distinctly later than usual or desired. I started with paperwork. Then I started to play by myself, working on badges. Then I spotted the late night short, large-group event. I joined and ran it, ending right before dinner. If you wonder how a late-night event can end before dinner, that's what happens when a person in Hawai'i joins something primarily meant for people on the east coast of North America. {Smile}

After dinner, I went into City of Heroes: Homecoming and started with paperwork as usual. I talked with Ulty and Jenny's player in the game and Nox on the chat server. I also began to look into badges again and did more paperwork. Then Phonso invited me to a pair of high-level taskforces. I ran them on my sixth-best badge collector. I finally got a badge and two more it completed after months of trying. Then Phonso went to look for something else. I did some paperwork. Phonso found someone running the same taskforces. He joined, as did Divi. I joined too and ran them again on the same character. I wanted to switch, but the leader started before I managed to ask both times. Well, she needs more runs like that this week, but my third best badge collector needs the badges she got too. After that, I did more paperwork and started making notes in this. I broke occasionally from notes in this to read web comics and browse on the web. Then I finished the night with a little Cross Stitch World and got to bed slightly earlier. {Smile}
